On the docket tonight…. My completely nonsense timeline of the aurora legion. This is all pure conjecture and so is basically fanfic. Dates are all wrong but screw it im tired.

Year 22xx (I forgot lol): the aurora legion is founded, construction work begins on aurora academy phase 0. The legion’s equipment consists of deactivated Terran and Beretreskan stock, as Aurora labs is yet to be set up. Year designated AL:0

AL:2: first class graduates from AL temporary headquarters on Luna. Crews assigned to fend off pirate raids near trask and provide aid to a beleaguered Terran colony in the Sirius system. Aurora Academy Phase 0 50% complete.

AL:5: aurora academy phase 0 complete. Thrusters, power generation, life support finished. Phase 1 started.

AL:10: Aurora Labs begin operation. First piece of equipment produced is a new type of pistol, known as a disruptor, primarily designed to incapacitate, it becomes the standard sidearm of the legion. Phase 1 33% complete

AL:20: number of active squads reaches 100, flying missions around Terran and Beretreskan space. The first prototype Longbow MK.1 enters trials after being built at the Martian shipyards. Phase one 80% complete

AL:23: Phase one complete, legion HQ moves to the now habitable Aurora academy, and the first class is inducted. The stream system is introduced to improve squad efficiency. Construction begins on Aurora Yards in the asteroid belt of the Aurora system.

AL:30: Long Bows enter high rate production, with new ships rolling off the line on biweekly intervals. Phase two of the Aurora Academy begins

AL:55: Long Bow MK.2 enters testing at Aurora Yards. Fleet size reaches 200 active vessels, 180 Aurora Spec Longbow class, 7 Terran Indomitable class destroyers, 6 Beretreskan Kysshakk class frigates, 4 Terran Dreadnaught class light cruisers, and 1 Terran Battleship, the Indefatigable.

AL:63: also known as Black ‘63, this year marked the loss of Nari Kim and battleship Indefatigable at the hands of what was later identified as a Sydrathi Warbreed Hunter-killer fleet. 7 squads are lost in the line of duty after a supply run to a supposed refugee fleet that opened fire for unclear reasons. Kysshakk class frigates Clan-of-fury and Beetle-back engage and destroy. Later analysis showed it to be a pirate fleet in disguise. Phase 2 40% complete.

AL:70: Longbow MK.2 introduced, with better payload capacity, range, firepower, and resistance to the kind of sensor jamming that lead to Black ‘63. Phase 2 64% complete

AL:90: The last of the original founders dies. A memorial service is held and attended by 85% of personnel. Development begins on the Polearm class of frigates to replace the aging Indomitable and Kysshakk class vessels. Station AL-02 begins construction on border territories of Terra and Trask, to act as a forward operating base. Phase 2 completed. Original specs for Aurora academy met. Additional expansion plans, and development phases 3-7 are drawn up.

AL:107: Polearm MK.1 enters service. Active fleet reaches 400 vessels, primarily Long Bow MK.2s. A new flagship is acquired by the Legion, the former TDF Dauntless.

AL:120: first communication with the syldrathi. War declared between Terra and her allies and Syldra. AL remains neutral and offers aid to those caught in the crossfire. Heavy losses incurred. First large scale deployment of Polearms, who can stand toe to toe with sydrathi vessels 50% larger than themselves

AL:130: Completion of phases 3,4, and 5 (done concurrently) introduction of the Longbow MK.4, notable for its complete redesign of defensive plating, engines, and weapons to massive effect, and initial testing of Blockhouse class Carriers and their sister class Iron Cannon Cruisers. Active fleet reach’s 1000.

AL:138: the Battle of Orion. Huge losses among aurora legion forces, loss of last remaining Dreadnought class cruiser. 20th Blockhouse/Iron cannon class vessel enters service.

AL:150: Battle of Aurora, station heavily damaged by Rahaam fleet, 33% of active personnel lost. Gladius class picket ship introduced, designed to be manned by only 3 crew. Due to damage, phases 6 and 7 are started ahead of schedule, to be completed by AL:175. Battleship Dauntless lost along with Admiral Adams.

AL:157: Tyler Jones selected as new Admiral of the fleet, and orders a shifting of footing to a humanitarian stance.

Also can you imagine with like that one art post Mei asks MK who HE wants to be, not a reflection of somebody, not the Monkie Kid, not the Harbringer of Chaos and HE REPLIES WITH HIS REAL NAME I WOULD GO INSANE

I'm like. 85% sure that person was me afasdfafsd. I know I've mentioned it before somewhere!

Because it's like, MK feels extremely abandoned and hurt by Wukong during s2. MK's line of "Fine! Then just leave! At least my friends will never abandon me!" in 2x01 Sleep Bug is VERY telling, and it also makes me sob when put together with 3x10 The Samadhi Fire:

MK: "NO! Mei is my best friend—I'd never abandon her when she needs me! We're heroes! It's what we do!"

And 4x02 New Adventures:

MK: “You don’t know! We’d risk it for sure! I won’t abandon them when they need us.”

MK's own low self-worth combined with Wukong's tendency to leave in the worst way possible, which was only further exacerbated by the Lady Bone Demon's manipulation.

And I think MK's experiences and feelings throughout s2 made him resolve to never make his friends feel abandoned.

But of course, since this is Lego Monkie Kid, it's more interesting than just that—because MK leaves at the end of s4. It was out of fear, sure, but so was Wukong leaving in s2 and at the end of s3. MK does exactly what he set out not to do, making the same mistakes his mentor has, literally going to isolate himself on Flower Fruit Mountain for an undetermined amount of time.

It's things like this that make the question of "Who is MK" so intriguing, because that's who MK want's to be. He want's to be himself. But who is that person?

Is MK just like Wukong? Is he a harbinger of chaos? Is he just a noodle delivery boy? Is he Monkie Kid? What if you remove all those labels? What's left? What is he?

(Plus the whole "I just want to be me—to be MK!" "Yeah well...we all know where that leads." interaction between MK and the curse in 4x07)

And now that we've thrown MK's mysterious past and ominous future into the mix, we are in for a FULL on identity crisis spiral next season.

And well, when it comes down to it, MK was willing and ready to fight Wukong in s2. The lmk writers are fantastic at paying off several arcs all at the same time (see all of 3x10, which literally had the culmination of Mei's, MK's, Wukong's, and Macaque's arcs all in one. It's fucking phenomenal), and this is partly due to the time constraints of the show as a whole, but it's also just damn good writing. MK's past, his identity, the hurt he's experienced across every season—that's all going to come to a head. I also imagine it's going to happen right along side Mei, Wukong, and Macaque's arcs once again, because that's just how this show do. It do insane shit.

I also happen to be a believer in "Samadhi Fire Part 3", in which we get another 3x10 and 4x08 parallel to round it all up, and I am waiting, WAITING, for Mei to repeat MK's words back at him:

“Mei! You have to stop. I know you’re upset, and that’s okay! I know what it’s like to have a power you don’t know how to control—to feel like the fate of the world is in your hands and you have no idea what to do! But you always have my back, and help me through it. We, will figure this out! Together!” (3x10 The Samadhi Fire)

((Which, MK himself is repeating Mei's words back at her, with "But we're going to figure this out." I NEED A POSITIVE FEEDBACK FRIEND LOOP BABY))

Thank you for all the kind word lovely you and so many others are helping me through this. Denny has been so sweet today, he’s just been laying on me or bringing me his stuffed animals and like tucking them under my arms like he’s saying “it’s ok Mom, I share! You cuddles! We cuddles!” He’s a very sweet boy. He’s so dramatic when I cry, he literally crawls on top of me and tries to suffocate me with kisses lol He doesn’t have a clue he’s 85 pounds.

Also, absolutely use it! Please! Nothing would make me happier than sharing the use of Reiko’s pet name for the reader and I absolutely love that idea. I can’t wait to read it! I feel like I’ve seen so much Reiko content today and it has been awesome! I love seeing people finally take notice of him! I’ve also seen more people slowly writing for my number one and I’ve spent most of my afternoon crying over my dumb ex and feasting on Reiko and Bi-Han content and honestly I can’t think of a better way to get over a shitty break up than by reading about my true love (Bi-Han) plowing the reader and calling them a little slut. 💙 That’s true love right there!

I will probably take a few days to get my head right again but I don’t want to stay out of the game too long because we’re all eating good right now and I wanna feed the masses too! Though if anyone wants to add to the eating and write some soft Bi-Han hours I wouldn’t complain.

While I’m rambling about MK related things I think I am going to go back to just self shipping with Bi-Han, it’s not that I don’t adore Syzoth it’s just I’m crazy in love with Bi-Han. He’s all I can think of and he and I are who I see all the time since my wallpaper and lock screen are both self ship art of us. I’m still absolutely down to write for Syzoth and will absolutely keep writing my OT3 with him, Bi-Han and the reader because I love that trio and dynamic but for my self ship I think I’m going to just stay hopelessly devoted to Bi-Han. 💙

Sorry I kind of hijacked your ask love but in conclusion Denny is doing a very good job looking after me and you are absolutely allowed to use “Pretty” for Reiko. 💕 That goes for anyone too but if you do use it please tag me because I would LOVE to read it, that’s also open for Bi-Han using “qīn” and Syzoth using “sunshine”. First Spitfires to Malta, March 1942

80 years ago this month, in March 1942, the situation on the besieged Mediterranean island of Malta had become dire. The German and Italian Axis air forces were attacking the island several times every day and it was becoming the most bombed place on earth. The Malta inhabitants and defenders were facing acute shortages of everything, including pilots and aircraft. The Hawker Hurricanes defending the island were outclassed by the Luftwaffe Bf 109Fs; the incessant attacks on their airfields, and losses in combat, were diminishing their numbers to critical levels. Some sources suggest that the number of serviceable Hurricanes had fallen to as few as 12. In late February 1942, Squadron Leader Stan Turner DFC and Bar, a Canadian, a veteran of the Battle of Britain and now the C.O. of 249 Squadron on Malta, told the A.O.C., Air Vice Marshal Hugh Lloyd, “Either, Sir, we get Spitfires here within days, not weeks, or we’re done. That’s it.”

The first Spitfires to arrive on Malta, and the first to be deployed outside of Britain, were 15 Mk Vb Spitfires, which were flown off the RN aircraft carrier, HMS Eagle, on 7th March, on Operation SPOTTER. The Spitfires were fitted with 90-gallon ‘slipper’ belly tanks to give them the range for the 650-mile flight to Malta. To counter the prevalent dusty conditions that they would encounter on Malta, the Spitfires had the large Vokes filter under the nose, which created more drag and lowered the aircraft performance. In order to take-off from HMS Eagle’s short 660-feet long flight deck, the Spitfire needed take-off flaps. However, the Spitfire’s pneumatically-operated flaps have only one setting of 85 degrees (drag flap for landing). The solution was to wedge the flaps at a 25-degree setting with a wooden wedge. Once safely airborne, the flaps could be lowered to drop the wedges and then raised again. The 15 Spitfires all reached Malta safely and flew their first combat sorties against a raid by Junkers Ju-88s, escorted by Bf 109 fighters, three days later on 10th March. The 19-strong defensive force of Spitfires and Hurricanes scrambled from Ta Qali and Hal Far was the largest the island had been able to muster for some weeks. Flight Lieutenant Philip ‘Nip’ Heppell of 249 Squadron, claimed the Malta Spitfires’ first kill when he shot down a Bf 109, whilst other Spitfire pilots claimed a ‘probable’ and three enemy aircraft damaged during the day.

Spitfire Mk Vb BP844, the first of a further nine Spitfires to reinforce the RAF on Malta, taking off from the flight deck of HMS Eagle on 21st March 1942, during Operation PICKET, with Sqn Ldr E J "Jumbo" Gracie at the controls. Behind him, the other aircraft await their turn. These Spitfires flew to Ta Qali to re-equip 126 Sqn, which Gracie was to command. BP844 was shot down over Malta, with the loss of its pilot, on 2nd April 1942.

A further nine Spitfires flew off HMS Eagle on 21st March on Operation PICKET, all reaching Malta safely. The Spitfires arrived in the critical phase of the Axis bombing offensive against Malta, which reached its apex between 20th March and 28th April 1942. HMS Eagle launched nine more Spitfires on 29th March, after which damage to her steering gear meant she had to be put into dry dock. Subsequent Spitfire deliveries to Malta were made from the flight deck of the USN carrier USS Wasp. In the months that followed, some 275 Spitfires were delivered to the beleaguered island.

During the month of March 1942, the Luftwaffe flew a total of 4,927 sorties against Malta. The RAF lost 12 fighters in combat, with nine pilots killed, and a further 46 were destroyed on the ground. RAF causalities during the bombing raids were 28 killed and 34 wounded.

hey since nobody in the competitive btd6 community uses tumblr, here is the exact strategy for the world record in least cash vortex, and how someone could beat it if they tried!

formatted in step-by-step placement/upgrade guide, you 100% NEED full MK for this

Use Gwen and make sure you have auto start off.

Place Gwen in the top-rightmost corner of the small circle in resort. It is almost pixel perfect, so it might take a bit.

Save up to a druid and place it as far up and as close as you can get it next to gwen in the same circle. Upgrade it to 010

Use Gwen’s ability on round 24 for the camo, and also to survive as long as possible. DO NOT LEAK LIVES!

Place a village above the small circle. The very bottom of the range should be in between gwen and the druid. Upgrade it to 002.

Place another village in the top leftmost corner of the area directly next to the small central circle. Upgrade it to 001

Upgrade your druid to 012, then village to 002, then druid to 013.

Place two more druids directly next to the topmost village, on either side. Upgrade the one on the right to 013 and the one on the left to 003.

Stop the game at the end of round 39. Upgrade all druids to poplust.

When the boss comes out, you need to deal damage very specifically so that at least one of the druids does not get stunned. On round 42, pop ALL of the camo rainbows. STILL DO NOT LEAK LIVES

On round 45, upgrade your village on the top to 012. Time the upgrade to 022 specifically so that you leak 85 lives exactly.

Upgrade your other village to 202 and begin the save up for avatar of wrath.

Tier two is the second hardest tier. You need to never have any two towers stunned, or else you lose. I was able to pop the last skull with a snipe shot by a druid. I did this by microing some of my druids so that not all of the shots hit.

Upgrade your top-rightmost druid to avatar of wrath. Place an engineer and save up to an overclock. You need it for tier four and five, but tier three is beatable without it.

For both tier three and tier four, you need to not have your avatar of wrath stunned. Gwendolyn will give you your only DDT popping power, so use her firestorm very sparingly.

For tier five, you need to time your overclock, firestorm, and micro your avatar of wrath to get every hit possible on it. You may need to exit out and reenter the game to get better rng on your druid hits. You need to pop all skulls without stunning avatar of wrath OR overclock, while also having overclock in range of both discount villages.

For how to beat my score, you need to cut the cross path off of the non-avatar druids. This makes the earlygame hell as you cannot leak any more than 85 lives.

A few days ago I finished watching Into the Badlands, a show I wanted to watch at the time it came out, but never did, so:

- Liked it way more than I thought I would.

- In spite of it being 85% made of fighting, bloodshed and violence, it has a damn good story following it all.

- Probably the closest thing to GoT you can get out there.

- Quinn! Damn, it's the character you want to hate so much, but you just can't. He's consistent with everything he does, to the very end, no matter what, and I love him for it. We need more characters like this out there, urgently. And like I've already said before, Marton's performance here absolutely took my breath away.

- I didn't like Lydia at first, she annoyed me, but in the end, she ended up being my second favorite character.

- My tradition of not liking the main character is prominent here because Sunny was one of my least favorite characters, and I didn't like him one bit. He was pretty good at being a hypocrite most of the time.

- I love the fact that they took "the chosen one" trope with MK, chewed on it and mercilessly spat it out.

- I know MK was annoying as fuck toward the end, but somehow his journey made sense and it went well with his struggle and temperament.

- I loved that towards the end, the main character role actually went to the Widow because from moment one, whether it was intentional or not, she sort of carried the story. Somehow, things always started and ended with her. And, she's my absolute favorite character.

- I've seen people complain about the way her story ended, but I actually think it was perfect, because in the end she got to be everything a woman can be. Most writers end up failing at this, they reduce female characters to just one thing. You can either be a woman and a mother, or you can be a warrior and girlboss who needs no one. The Widow ended up being everything a female character can be, a woman, a warrior, a girlboss and a mother. She got to face her own flaws and demons and got to know what it feels like having everything to lose the way people did fighting for her. And I loved that.

- What completely came out of the left field for me was her romance with Gaius thought. His entire character was kinda redundant. I mean, I did like him, but he felt like a plot device through the entire time he was there, a plot device that in the end didn't even serve as that, cause the story would've mostly been the same even if he wasn't there. I appreciate that they tried to paint some backstory with Minerva for them to actually make some sense, but it wasn't that convincing. I actually liked his character more than I liked Sunny, but he deserved more agency and should've been introduced way earlier for it to make any sense and not only serve as the baby daddy.

- I hated that for half of the show's run Sunny was reduced to just one thing, the way writers mostly do to female characters. He was reduced to a father and nothing else, and his entire story, if it wasn't for Bajie would've probably been my favorite thing to skip.

- I loved that Bajie wasn't just a blameless and sinless comic relief and that most of the time he was portrayed as not much of a good guy based on everything he's done. Just human and selfish pretty often.

- I'm sorry, but I fucking hated Veil. She was the most annoying character in the entire show. Followed by Odessa close by.

- Somehow, the only characters that were aware of the world they live in and what it takes to survive, without being merciless butchers, were The Widow and Lydia. That's why they're my favorite characters. They have gone through hell and learned, unlike other characters who seemed too naive most of the time, in spite of living in a literal hell on earth. I can understand that with young characters like MK and Tilda, but others don't really have an excuse for being fucking Starks.

- Which is why I was annoyed as hell with the Tilda turning her back on the Widow for selling Veil out to Quinn. You live in the fucking badlands, you do what you have to do to keep your head on your shoulders, but you have to do even worse things if you are fighting for something better than that. In spite of her action actually making sense based on the world she lives in, we still had the Widow face her own dark side and her own failures and mistakes, which is why she ended up the last one standing. Unlike a lot of other characters.

- Lydia did not have to die. Her death was useless and it kinda only served as a slap in the face of the Widow telling her "you fought and killed and sacrificed everything and everyone for the power you hold, you can't put it on anyone else's shoulders now, you can't run". It also gave Moon another revenge plot he would fail. I know he's supposed to be this badass clipper, but he kind of comically ended up being a walking failure. He failed to stay away from the badlands, he failed to beat Sunny, he failed to get revenge on Sunny, he failed to beat the Widow, he mostly failed as her regent, he failed to get revenge on the witch for Lydia.

- They didn't know they would get canceled, but somehow the second half of the 3rd season felt like they were rushing to wrap up the story and a lot of things felt a bit naive and off.

- Oh, and wtf is with the showrunners being alergic to love and sex scenes? You literally have bloodshed everywhere. You have a man's arms being broken and him being stabbed by the bones of his own arms, but have like two kiss scenes in the entire show. It's actually hilarious.

Probably forgot a lot of things, but all in all, I loved the show, and I didn't expect to love it as much. Would totally recommend.
