One thing I love about Macaque's redemption is that he never had a big "I'm good now" speech or moment. MK just kinda... absorbed him into the plan and he went along with it because LBD would kill all of them if he didn't, and after that, he didn't attack them and would start helping them slowly, which leads to now, where he's not an official Monkie Kid member, but he is part of the team. It makes so much sense for him. He's super dramatic, but he's still pretty introverted and wouldn't want to make a big deal of him helping them. He also still has some unresolved beef and tension with Wukong, so it makes sense too on why he wouldn't want to officially say he is apart of their team.
