Something I noticed (in kind of regards to my last reblog about Mizuki) is that the people who yell at others for not using they/them on Mizuki are sometimes the same people who yell at trans headcanons for characters of the opposite gender (transmasc l/n, transmasc emunene and anhane, transmasc mmj, transmasc (minus mizuki ofc!) niigo and transfem fantasisita squad). These are the same people who preach about Non-Binary representation and trans representation only to yell at people who headcanon their favorite characters under the trans umbrella.

This is seen mostly in transfem fantasisita squad headcanons :((

Idk it’s upsetting to see others praise Mizuki for being Non-binary (even though she’s a trans girl) and yet belittle other transfem hcs (from what i’ve seen anyway) and trans hcs. I dunno it feels like people are making every excuse in the book to not see transfem as fem/women and transmasc as masc/men.

Nico Robin/Franky (One Piece) Nico Robin headcanoned as transfem, Franky as genderqueer/similar I think

Yamato/Ace (One Piece) Yamato is canon transmasc and Ace is headcanoned as transmasc

i keep seeing people go "we finally have a canonically trans idol rhythm game character!" in reference to mizuki!

but.

arashi narukami, ensemble stars, a bisexual trans woman.

enstars came out 2015, and while arashi's transness was played out horribly back then, and she was seen as an effeminate man (and was even referred to with a slur a few times), since then, the game has improved greatly in how they talk about her! (engstars is mildly transphobic though. um.)

however, there is a homescreen interaction where she's talking with izumi, and she mentions growing taller, and it making her dysphoric--izumi assures her, she's not taller, she's tricking herself.

all of her unit, Knights, are representative of chess pieces! ritsu is the knight, izumi is the bishop, tsukasa is the rook, leo is the king, and arashi is the queen!

she regularly calls herself the big sister of both the unit and of yumenosaki itself.

My own list in this post is anime, manga, games mostly but in the spreadsheet you can add anything.

Following my tierlist of them, I realized I should make a public list so theyre not just kept in my head, since I spent quite a while finding these characters. If you want to watch/play anything with trans or gnc characters, you can use this list.

They range from good rep to bad, characters viewed as "traps" or not taken seriously to ones that the whole fandom understands is trans. I've added trigger warnings to the characters and fandoms I know can be triggering. I've also put certain names in bold to show that they're a main character, but i've only watched a few on this list so some are missing.

I would add trigger warnings for "bury your gays" and similar tropes, but I want to avoid spoilers. Maybe you can look it up first if you're worried. I've tried to exclude characters that are referred to as hermaphrodites.
