uhmm i haven't been seeing a lot of discussion about till aside from his relationships with other competitors and i think it's something that must be addressed because i think among the competitors he's the anomaly.

unlike his peers, Till is nothing special. Ivan is beautiful and talented and so is Mizi, and they're both treated as valuable things by their alien owners because of it. You can see this in the way Ivan's constantly surrounded by attention and food and Mizi's pampered lifestyle pre-alien stage.

but then you get to Till and he's literally just strapped to a medical table. Mizi and Ivan's "foster family" treat them with some degree of humanity, even if it's in the way that humans now treat their beloved house cats. If that's the case, Till's treated as a mildly interesting lab rat.

His owners go lengths to further dehumanize him, and you can see that from the way he's so often muzzled when no one else is. They also quite literally brand him !!

This type of dehumanization in my opinion is also something that contributes to Till's aggressive behavior, because he is constantly in the circumstances that force him to do so.

Till is neither too attractive or too talented at singing, and I'm pretty sure he knows this --- that's why he relied so heavily on the element of gruesome surprise during his first round.

It's also worth mentioning that his unhealthy attachment to the idea of Mizi as some kind of saving grace also reflects on his own perception of himself, as some sinner in need of saving. Whenever he imagines Mizi in the Round 6 video, he is someone tainted in the colors of his captors (red) and sweaty, whereas Mizi is bright and glowing.

He didn't expect to live past round 6, I think that's made pretty clear. His expression isn't one of someone who expects to live (especially when Mizi is now either dead or gone). His expression is of someone defeated.

Another thing about Till is that he felt alone. Ivan loves him, we knows this, but Till doesn't. The few instances we see through Ivan's eyes, his kindness towards Till is either from somewhere Till can't see or when he's unconscious. The only time we see them interact where Till is aware of what's going on is when they're fighting as kids, and their one escape attempt.

As far as I know, Till has nothing to go off of in recent times. The only time that he's touched is by alien captors and scientists, both who see him as less than human. It's easy to be beat down and dehumanized when there is no one around you to humanize you.

No other competitor, from what we've seen, is treated as awfully as Till is treated. His idealization of Mizi stems from delusion, and there is no indication to him now that his ex-best friend Ivan still gives a shit about him.

That changes after the 6th Round though, and Till is so well set up to be a character who gets his entire worldview shattered, with Ivan's final show of affection and Mizi's disconnect from the one he has in his head (symbolized by her cut hair).

Till, a hotheaded human who is nothing special but lived on until the final round through the idealization of one competitor and the sacrifice of another ... the silliest of all time

GIVING THEM A FLOWER CROWN!~ ♪

notes: aha… not my normal content! The alien stage brainrot has gotten to me and there is NOTHING for this fandom 😭

You carefully weaved the red flower stems together, fingers gently tugging on the petals to perfectly secure the crown. You examined your work, satisfied with the quality of your labor. You got up from the grassy shade you were sitting under and looked around for your s/o, whom you finally found in the cafeteria, sitting alone in a secluded corner munching on something to their liking.

Her eyes immediately brighten when seeing you hehe

She stands up from her spot and slams her hands onto the table

“Y/N! Guess what!! They’re letting me have sweets!! It’s just this once but still! Would you like some?”

To which you happily nod your head, letting her feed you a spoonful of strawberry shortcake.

“Isn’t it good? Ugh it’s amazing!” Mizi sighs happily, licking the frosting of her spoon.

“Everything all good though?” 

You fiddle with the petals behind your back, slightly nervous.

“Well, I have something for you, close your eyes!”

Mizi goes ‘😲’ to ‘😊’

She patiently waits for you give present her with whatever it is

You place the delicate crown onto her awaiting soft hands.

She blinks open her eyes and a bright smile adorns her pretty lips

“I- For me?! Really?! Oh wow!! It’s so pretty!” She gasps excitedly, her index finger hovering over the red petals barely touching the soft skin.

“How did you know these were my favorites?!” Mizi asked eyes wide

“Heh, well you’ve mentioned it to probably anyone who would listen, and they are the only flowers that grow freely in here,” You giggle, which a soft blush coats her cheeks. 

She whispers a soft “oh..!” 😮

You took the crown and place it on top of her pink hair

“So pretty, my princess,” you teased lovingly

She thinks something happened by the way you just speed past everyone straight to her lmao

“..Where you looking for me? Sorry, I should’ve told you where I was headed,” Sua softly said, wiping the corners of her mouth politely.

“Everything alright?”

To which you wave her off, saying simply ‘I just needed to see you,’ which makes her feel all mushy n’ loved ><

“Now! Close your eyes,” you playfully demand, which Sua obeys.

You take her hands and hold them out open for the crown

And then placed your creation in her palms

“Okay- open now!” 

Sua blinks her eyes, surprised at the sudden gift, a soft smile settles on her lips

“It’s so very pretty, y/n, thank you,” Sua beams, placing it upon her head.

“How do I look?” She asks

You look BEAUTIFUL Sua 🥹

You smile back at her, “Stunning as ever! Red is such a pretty color on you Sua.”

She then places a soft kiss on your cheek.

“I’m afraid I don’t have anything else to give you in return, I hope this will suffice for now,” Sua cheekily whispered. 

“Yeah, that took a lot of my time and energy so I’m gonna need a few moreeeee 😏”

Currently gouging little sandwiches down his throat lmao

He was scarfing it down like a starved man probably was ☹️

You’re unsure if he hears you or is simply in sandwich heaven because he isn’t responding to you calling his name ‘Till, Till, Till, TILL?? TILL?!?”

“TILL?” You almost yelled, tapping him

His head frantically shot up and distraughtly began choking and coughing.

Which you’re freaking out bc you though you just killed him somehow

You aggressively pat his back, flower crown long forgot on the floor lmao

His coughing fit calms down, and a tear slips down his red face. 

Just kill him now, he CANNOT look you in the eye after you just witnessed that

“Till?? Are-Are you okay?? Sorry- I didn’t mean to, scare you? Are you okay?” You awkwardly rub his back

“Fine.” He grunts out

He awkwardly clears his throat, fixing his gaze on the floor

“So um, didja uh, need anything..? Or something?”

“Oh yeah! Um, well I have you something, if that’s okay,”

Till blushed at the thought that you cared enough to give a gift to him

“Okay! Close you eyes!” You beamed

you bent down and picked up the crown.

He thought of every possible outcome it could be- his imagination likes the idea that the gift was a kiss >.<

Which has Till beet red, awaiting for a kiss that never came

“Alright- open your eyes!”

He peeled open his eyes, settling them on the flower headpiece you made

He was unsure what you had meant by this

Like?? You want me to wear it?

“What do you think? Hm?” You peered

“Y-you made this for me eh?” He awkwardly asked

You nodded as he took the crown from your hands and gave it a good look

“It’s very, ah, pretty..? Thank you y/n,” he gave a smile to you, putting the crown on the table

You softly frowned. “You’re not going to wear it?”

Oh Till wish he would have just shut his mouth-

“WHAAT? No!! Of course I am?! What the hell are you talking about!?” He scrambled to find something to say to make you happy again

Till aggressively put the crown on top of his head

“S-SEE?!” Till nervously yelled, causing a few heads to turn

You giggled at his reaction, oh he was so cute :3

“I’m glad you like it Till, mwah” you placed a gentle kiss on the corner of his mouth

Till rn: 😳😦

Basically he’s broken yk

“Okay- I’m leaving now byeeeee!~” knowing what you just did left him a mess

“Out looking for me so soon?” He teased

“Oh hush would you,” you playfully snapped back, sitting beside him.

Ivan curiously leaned to see what you were hiding behind your back-

Which you leaned back further so he couldn’t heh

“Abababa!- No peeking, you’ll see soon enough,” you grin

Ivan dramatically sighs and sits back, waiting for what you’ll do next

You exhale “Alrighty, close you eyes,” 

Which Ivan did as you told

After a few times of peeking his eye open to annoy you just a bit

You grabbed his hands and opened them flat, and then put down the crown upon them.

Ivan opened his eyes and made a ‘:o’ face

He moved the crown around, looking at all of the intricate braidings you did

“..It’s lovely, thank you y/n,” Ivan grinned

He installed it on top of his head, making sure it’s secure. 

“Now, did you make this all special for me?” He coyly asked, already knowing the damn answer 🙄

You scoffed, you felt your face warming up at his teasing

“You’re so annoying..” 

Ivan rn:  :3

“Yes stupid, I made it just for you, because I love you. Happy with that answer?” You mocked lovingly. 

Ivan was kinda caught off guard at your honest answer tbh

His face was dusted with a glowing crimson, and eyes slightly widened

“Mn, good,” he softly smiled “I love you too,” 

He pressed a soft kiss to your hand and offered to make you a crown in return :)

He was aware of you nervously tip-toeing around him, and he was rather curious to what you’ve been hiding

“So, what is it hm? What is it you don’t you want me to see?”

And you were kinda like ?!

You thought you were being sneaky, huh

“Well ah, I’m not hiding anything-“ “Really?” “Nope,” “Then why are you so nervous, hm?” Luka continued to press

He was soo annoying like this, ugh

You sighed, leaving the room for a moment and returning with something behind your back

Luka’s brows raised expectantly

“I wasn’t sure if you’d like it so ah,” you fiddled with the crown nervously. 

Luka could be very condescending and belittle your feelings, and just be a jerk yk

Which was a totally valid reason to be scared to give him a gift you made!

“It’s silly but um, here, I made this for you,” you said handing him the flower crown

Luka’s expression was unreadable, which kinda stressed you out more

Luka placed the crown on his head, “What do you think, hm?” He asked

“It’s rather suiting for the prince, don’t you think?” He mused, his purple fingers tucking a piece of your hair out of your face.

“My star, don’t be shy to spoil me with gifts, I won’t reject you y’know”

You all felt silly and embarrassed :> heh

“..mm right,”

“When did you even have time to make this?” He asked curiously

“Well, my ‘owner’ is less strict then yours,” you scoffed “I’ve been bringing good money n’ popularity with my photoshoots and other gigs . It apparently values ‘self expression’ , heh, so it let me wander a bit.”

Luka hummed in acknowledgement, continuing to play with you hair

“I’ll get you something pretty next time,”

She was like all stressed out because the gang was supposed to have already left the area and you weren’t anywhere to be seen 

She’s looking around everywhere for you, and Aliens and androids are starting to figure out what was happening- a raid

Right before she’s about to go rouge and take the motorcycle

She sees you running towards her 🙏 Which she lets out the deepest sigh out ever

She takes your hands and drags you into the jeep

Dewey slams the gas and everyone speeds off, luckily without anyone being caught

Nooow… as for what happens when you guys get back at base

She so pissed LMAOO

She scolding you for going off the plan and wandering off- especially during a raid!!

“What the hell were you thinkin’ huh?! What if they caught you? You wanna be forced back into that life?! Hyuna yelled, gripping onto your shoulders

You could only try to defend why you did it, but it would only fall to deaf ears

You knew she was right, and what you did was stupid- but you haven’t seen those kinds of flowers in what seemed like forever!

They were like a strange comfort, an odd memory of ‘home’

You also could see how overwhelmed Hyuna was by everything recently, the main plan was getting ready to be in motion

You thought you could give her the flowers, hopefully brightening her mood somehow.

“I really am sorry Hyuna, I just had to get it!” “Get what? Get what hah?” Hyuna pressed

You sighed and pulled out the squished flower crown from your bag

Hyuna’s eyes slightly widened as she watched you

“I found them, the flowers from the garden,” You paused. “‘Made it for you, Hyuna,”

She paused, slowly taking the crown and touching the petals,

He shook her head softly.

“You’re ridiculous you know that,” she scoffs, her lips curling into a soft grin

“Unbelievable, really, no sane person literally risks their life for flowers, babes,”

You smile “Heh, I don’t think anyone here is sane,”

She leaned forward to place a lingering kiss onto your forehead

“I really am sorry yun’,” You whispered

“It’s done now, please don’t do that again though. I can’t do this without you y/n,” She smiled at you

“I don’t think I’ve seen these since we left? I didn’t even know they grew out here!” Hyuna laughed

Starlight in the Dark

You thought you were good at hiding it.

The long sleeves, the careful positioning of your wrists, the smiles you forced when the cameras were on. In a competition where every move was scrutinized, you had mastered the art of deflection. But some people are too perceptive for their own good.

Ivan

He notices first. Not because you told him—he just pays too much attention. At first, it’s subtle: he watches you a little too closely, lingers when you adjust your sleeves. Then, one night, he corners you backstage, his usual smile in place but his eyes unreadable.

"Why do you do it?" His voice is unsettlingly soft. You freeze. "It’s not fair," he murmurs, brushing his fingers over your wrist, "if you want attention, you should just ask for mine."

Ivan isn’t gentle in his approach. His obsession with you makes his concern overwhelming, suffocating. He offers solutions in the way he knows best—giving you all of him, demanding all of you in return. If he can be the reason you stop, he’ll take it.

Till

Till is different. He’s the one who doesn’t force you to talk, doesn’t pressure you to explain. When he notices the fading scars, the too-tight grip on your sleeve, his response is quiet.

"It must hurt a lot," he says one evening, hesitant but genuine.

You expect pity, but there’s none. Just understanding. He won’t pry, won’t push, but he stays. His presence alone is comforting—like a steady heartbeat in the chaos of the competition.

Mizi

Mizi cries when she finds out. Not in front of you, but later, when she thinks you’re not looking. She’s too honest, too open to hide the way it breaks her heart.

"Why didn’t you tell me?" Her voice wavers, and her hands tremble when she takes yours.

She doesn’t know what to say. She doesn’t know how to fix this. But she wants to, more than anything. From then on, she holds your hand tighter, smiles brighter, as if sheer willpower alone can replace the pain you carry.

Sua

Sua doesn’t say anything when she sees the scars. No gasps, no lectures, no pity-filled glances.

Instead, she sits beside you and starts talking about nothing���the competition, the lights, the way the audience stares at her when she’s on stage.

"It’s funny," she says idly, "how people never really see what’s right in front of them."

There’s an unspoken understanding. She won’t force you to stop, won’t tell you what you should do. But she’ll be here. Always.

Hyuna

Hyuna is heartbroken. She’s affectionate by nature, but now? Now she refuses to leave your side.

"You’re not going anywhere alone anymore, got it?" she declares, pouting.

She clings to you—grabbing your wrist (gently, always gently), throwing an arm around your shoulder, demanding your attention in the most Hyuna way possible.

"You’re my favorite person," she says with all the sincerity in the world. "And I don’t like seeing my favorite person sad."

Luka

Luka is the one who doesn’t bring it up directly.

Instead, he subtly alters his performances, choosing songs that speak to pain, to survival, to resilience. It’s deliberate, just like everything he does.

"You’re stronger than you think," he murmurs after one such performance.

His words aren’t meant to soothe—they’re a challenge. A dare. And somehow, that helps.

Dewey & Isaac

They’re softer with you after they find out. Dewey still teases, still grins, but it’s less sharp, more careful.

"You know," he says casually, tossing a snack at you, "if you need a distraction, we could always cause some chaos."

Isaac, meanwhile, doesn’t joke about it. He just stays close—offering an easy presence, a quiet sort of support that doesn’t need words.

Hyunwoo

Hyunwoo is the one who outright tells you that you deserve better.

"You don’t have to do this alone," he says, voice steady, gaze warm.

He doesn’t try to stop you—he just makes sure you know that he’s there. That he’ll always be there.

They all react differently.

Some with softness, some with intensity, some with quiet understanding. But one thing is clear:

You are not alone. And maybe, just maybe, that’s enough to keep going.

👽 I won't lie, bro was kind of already a yandere to hyuna if you haven't noticed before... ( <- written that shit before wiege. kms)

👽 If you're someone who works behind the scenes, like a doctor who checks on the contestants after their performances, a make up artist, or essentially whatever requires you NOT to be on camera, best believe he's keeping you away from that damn thing. Because 1) He's even more possessive than his usual self, and doesn't like anyone seeing you in any sort of way that his fans perceive him, and 2) He's scared that somehow you'd actually end up on Alien Stage (even if you think you don't have the talent/looks/ the passion for it.)

👽 He's obviously manipulative, I mean, cmon. spoilers warning here but like, with the way he provokes and ebbs at till and mizi is crazy. Whatever tendencies he had before are just ramped up now. He makes sure you attend to nobody, and pays attention to him and him only. He'll poke any buttons you have if it means it keeps you under him, even if it is borderline blackmail.

👽 He likes seeing you jealous. There, I said it. He likes watching people's reactions twist and turn at his words, his expressions, at him. He is no different when it comes to you. Purposely does things he knows pushes your buttons.

👽 I'd like to think that he isn't all that bad as a yandere (I'm just delusional), and does treat you like a queen, or whatever the highest treatment a human can experience. Shares whatever gifts he receives from the aliens to you, feeds you the best stuff (because he couldn't... spoilers haha...)

👽 He'a also anything but lucid. WILL see you through rose tinted glasses, essentially like a god from his perspective, and if you genuinely ask him to grovel, he will. The only thing he wishes you won't ask is to leave...because he probably won't grant that <3

👽 Man is in his late 20s to early 30s, and while human culture is extremely different in the alien stage universe to ours, I'd like to give the head canon that they probably still have some of our courting culture and stuff. He would buy an engagement ring, and internally combust ( or bust...if you know what I mean), if you wore it. Especially in public.

👽 He's crazy. Wow! No shit, but he really is. I like to think while he does care about his reputation, he just throws all that out when you're involved. WOULD sacrifice himself for you in a heart beat. He'd rather die than you die and leave him all alone.

ROUND 7 THEORY.

Till is going to lose: and Hyuna won't be there to save him.

I. Hyuna won't be part of the rescue mission.

I'm going to start with the obvious: today's alien stage friday content that opened my third eye.

obviously, hyuna is.. suffering is an understatement right now, she appears in a lot of pain, having to lean on mizi to walk. not only this, but mizi is distressed too. she is looking back, and the warning:intruder sign is reflecting in her eyes. interesting detail I've seen: the screen behind hyuna I'd light, and I personally think it's Luka's promotional photoshoot we've seen in All-In. maybe a slight reach, and not a good point to base a whole theory I genuinely believe in on, but trust me, it all ties togheter: Hyuna is looking directly forward, towards a 'light', while Mizi is looking back, at a warning sign. So, Hyuna will go to their base, and Mizi will do the rescuing mission alone. This might sound stupid, but the AMOUNT of content I found that holds this theory is insane.

Speaking about All-In..

This is a promotional video for All-In. (Might be the teaser but I'm tweaking) Mizi is only shown in the car scene, where she's togheter with Hyuna. In the other parts, Hyuna is completely alone. This might not mean a lot, except that we have this official art:

Unlike the frame in the video, Hyuna is alone here, leaving dust on the on the other cars. Does this mean that she'll go alone? Perhaps leave alone? And there's even more I consider as 'evidence'.

In the cover of hyuna ver. of ROMH, she seems to be laying down, something that I don't think she would be able to do while still being in the ALNST building, and the splash on her face seems to be similar to the character's that have died.

As happy as this looks, again, Mizi isn't here. The rest of the rebellion is, and she's wearing the outfit she had on in All-In when making that video with the others. She's making a gun sign, something usual for her, she's done it multiple times all over. Is this foreshadowing of her being shot?

But this.. even though the backround is Hyuna, it's obvious that the hands are not hers because of the light skin. So is this Mizi that's trying to learn from Hyuna? Maybe because she has to do a mission without her? Back to the All-In teaser, we don't see who's holding the gun that flashes between the frames of Hyuna's hand making a gun sign. I personally think it's Mizi instead, since now she's learned how to fire. Afterall, in All-In, even Hyuna is surprised at her sudden fierceness.

Here, it seems like Hyuna is being announced something, while sitting down. But what could be so important that she is told with such secrecy? The only thing I can imagine is a rescue mission, but she isn't there herself.

In this art, Mizi is looking down, while Hyuna is looking up, with a stern face, almost monitoring. But where could Mizi be, so high up she has to look down, and so bright she has to shadow her eyes? This takes me to the next part of my theory:

II. Till is going to lose.

The light from above the stage in the Round 7 teaser is dark blue, but a specific shade that has been often associated with Mizi. Is she there, so that's why she's looking down? Also from the teaser, we have this (which I think was pointed out before):

The little gun aim light is pointed towards the stage from an alien that seems to have a guard helmet, and then a light covers Till. I think it's enough proof that something will happen to him, but I have more. So much more.. And yet, I think the other ones fit more into another category. III. Even though he'll lose, Till won't die. But he won't live well, either. I am not delusional, I genuinely think Mizi's rescue mission will go well.

Here, Till is holding a strand of Mizi's long hair, the hair we know is long gone. In relationship with the first category, Hyuna is the only one missing from this art.

I initially thought it was Till protecting Mizi from something, but no. I think it's Till protecting the image of Mizi he remembers from something he finds terrifying: and I think that scary thing is the real Mizi, the Mizi that exists now. It's a common theme that Till is only inlove with the image of Mizi, so what if that dissapears? I imagine he'd be terrified of that.

Here, the wire of Till's collar (that we've seen him wearing in round 7, too) seems to be blending with Mizi's hair, as if he is bound to the image of past her. (Since we know her hair is short now.)

In this, the tape is similar to the one that covered his mouth in Top 3, but here, his mouth is wide opened, the tape instead covering his name, as if his freedom, his own voice was given back to him, rather covering his branding whom is proof of ownership.

Here, the characters that are behind have died, and the ones that are holding flowers are the ones who love Mizi. But again, it's the long haired old Mizi.

III. Hallucinations

Alien Stage is about romance, and hallucinating your loved one isn't new in it. Mizi hallucinated Sua in Round 5, and Till hallucinated Mizi (again, her old version) after... we all know what I mean. Hallucinating has led to losing, but is this going to be the case in Round 7?

Well, yes and no. Yes for Till, no for Luka, and I think this aspect is the one that makes the most difference between them.

Let's talk about Till first. I feel like Luka won't genuinely see Till as a threat, especially after Round 6. I do not think that he will do the ROMH technique. And yet, I think Till will hallucinate Ivan in him anyways. Looking at Luka's stage smile and Ivan's default expression, they look very similar (atleast to me), and the white outfits might do it, too.

This particular image makes me feel like that. His fingers aren't purple, which, I don't know what to make out of it, but it's about the neck holding. Ivan always seemed to have something with Till's neck, and there's a lot of art to prove it. This is undoubtedly something that Ivan would do, and I can imagine Till hallucinating Ivan, or atleast, a warped version of him, in situations like this. Till is already in a bad place mentally, so I feel like such a thing would destroy him, even though he won't go down without a fight.

Onto Luka. I think hallucinating Hyuna in Till is inevitable: their energy is just incredibly similar. But unlike Till, Hyuna is Luka's motivation to sing.

In this comic, we find out that Luka doesn't truly like singing: his only reason for singing is (or atleast, was) the fact that Hyuna likes it. And again, unlike Till, Luka is obsessed with the stage. It's canon that he has low self-esteem, and that winning is his way of raising it up. I don't see him having a mentality like Till, but rather, one that sounds more like "Only I get to kill you.", so a competition against Hyuna would only make him more motivated. And so, I think that hallucinating Hyuna gets him even closer to a win.

IV. Till will escape: but at what cost?

Till knows that the last time he turned down escaping, it didn't go well. So, even now, with the new image of Mizi, even now, with Ivan dead, even now, when he's still holding onto an image long gone of someone he loves, he will accept, but without getting implicated into whatever the resistance does too much. Why? Because he thinks he has nothing left except his hallucinations.

V. Conclusion

I'm sorry for how long this is!! I've been thinking for sooo long... I really like how I've made this though, in the end. extra: In this official art, the characters that are slightly smiling are now dead (sua, ivan).. it doesn't really mean anything to what I said (I think), but I found it interesting :)

ivan’s fondness for sua despite knowing she doesn’t care for him is just so,, god. it really shows how much feeling alienated/different and inhuman weighs on him. he’s literally just a kid who wants to know that he’s not alone.

till is someone so opposite him that it intrigues him, and he loves him from afar and accepts that he’ll never be the same for till no matter how much he longs for it. but sua is someone who is so similar to him he can’t help but care for her more than his surface level friendships because she gets it- even though sua feels threatened by ivan and doesn’t want to be associated with him.

just the fact that she has a ‘twisted’ aspect to her personality makes him feel a kind of kinship with her. because he lacks empathy he can’t relate as well to his peers, but when it comes to sua he doesn’t need empathy to understand her because he logically understands how her mind works. because it’s similar to his own. and that fact alone brings him a rare comfort and familiarity (that he desperately needs, might i add. sua has mizi to share joy and life with- ivan doesn’t share with till as much as they have a weird unspoken give and take).

Through the lense of their relationship with love...

Sua

Sua's love is closely guarded

She covers it up with her hand, hiding it because her heart is hers alone

Opening up means leaving herself vulnerable to be hurt by others, so she decisively shuts everyone out due to her fear

In her life, she's only allowed two people in, two people she cautiously opens up to, trusting that they won't hurt her or take advantage of the soft, defenseless heart they now hold in their hands

Mizi

Mizi puts her heart on display

Lifting her hair up, everything — both her love and her pain — are there for anyone to see

Her love is freely given, she allows everyone in without question, the complete opposite to Sua

It's precisely this openness, this earnest affection with no strings attached directed at her that moved Sua, convincing her to allow Mizi into her closed off heart

It is also this openness, this freely given affection that causes Sua insecurity and jealousy

Ivan

His love is something Ivan cannot let go of

His love is not something he interacts with directly, whether to smother or nurture; it simply is

It's already deeply rooted in him — ripping it out is impossible, letting go would mean breaking himself

And in the end he does break himself to show his heart

The seam of his collarbone crevice reaches across his face as if trying to connect with the one on his left cheek; his two hands pull at his head in opposite directions, desperate to crack himself open and show what's inside

Till

Love spills out of Till without any prompting

He's a child raised with love, and eventually ripped away from it

But its influence has left its mark, allowing him to love earnestly with all his heart, so much so it tickles out of him heart by heart

Yet even if it only brings pain now, even if it is only a source of sorrow now, he holds his head up with his hands because he'd still choose to love

After rewatching round 6 for the nth time I just realized Till Win is reflected in Ivan's blood and OH. MY BMFUCCKIGBGOOOODDDD I HATE THEM I HATE THEM O HATE TJEM they could never make me hate you ivan.

Till standing next to Ivan while his body is still cooling feels awfully a lot like how a person would mourn at their loved one's grave, but I think that there's a lot more going on inside Till's head, and this just saddens me. I would crumble personally if I was him, because to me, Ivan's death also feels like a slap to the face I guess? Because until now his crush on Mizi allowed him to be selfish, to believe that once she was gone, he would be left all alone. He gave up his will to live, accepted defeat without further struggle, because he idolized and idealized Mizi to a point where his whole life depended on her existence. Perhaps he does have a crush on Mizi, but I fully believe that it partly stems from the love and adoration he saw Mizi offer to Sua, almost like "what if I could have that too?". He could not bear to part with the love and salvation he saw within Mizi, to the point where he gave away his freedom just to be near her, just for the chance that maybe he'd finally know what it feels like to be wanted, to be loved. He selfishly cut away at all the bad parts in this picture that he did not want to see, the worthless parts, the painful ones, the suffering he has endured at the hands of his captors, and ended up cutting away at the people that might've cared for him, that still do, until nothing but Mizi remained, who he foolishly believed to be able to offer him what he so desperately wanted. He made himself believe that he was alone, up until he truly, truly was. Until when can a man doggedly chase after one person until the death of what I dare call " the closest thing to family he has ever had" drop like flies around him? Round 6 offers us an answer.

I believe that part of the reason why he stood there as Ivan bled out is him processing that someone actually cared about him, loved the parts of Till that he saw to be loveless. It also feels like a wake-up call, the cut up picture that he has constructed his life around has finally been proven as the lie it is. He can no longer be selfish enough to close his eyes on reality, on his obsessive idealization for someone who will never, who cannot save him, on the fact that Mizi already loves somebody else so dearly, because the love he was searching for in someone, to be returned, was right next to him all along.

Too bad he only noticed Ivan when he was bleeding out at his feet. This is the closest thing to salvation Till will ever get from someone, to love so dearly one would give away their life without hesitation, to throw away their freedom, to not cut away at the corners of this picture, but to see it and love it and do everything to preserve it. Should Till look at such a picture, he would find the pieces of paper he has cut of himself which he believed to be loveless, reflected back at him in that puddle of blood. (I wrote this part fully relying on the muscle memory of my keyboard because my tears were deeply obstructing my vision)

This sacrifice will either ruin Till or give him motivation to live and the tenacity to fight back and free himself from the prison he has willingly walked in, and to finally accept that Mizi is a lesbiab and a ferocious grieving woman kisser. oh my god.

Edit 2: this rant is lowkey outdated because first of all, I feel like I insulted Till's love for Mizi. Just as Ivan loved Till for his tenacity and fighting spirit, and whatever else he saw in that wet cat of a man, so did Till love Mizi, for her innocent happiness and love that poured out of her. She was the only one out of them who was blissfully unaware to the pain and suffering of the humans, and the shit the aliens put the rest through, the fact that Till was attracted to her partly because of that makes me feel miserable. I do wonder what he will think, should he survive and see just how much Mizi has changed, how she has grown to fight for what she wants to protect.

I also feel that I have underestimated Till's relation to Ivan, he truly did care for him, Ivan was just too cryptic to express himself

Sua birthday art -> she's a bride about to get married, to Mizi ofc, looking down, maybe bc she's nervous

Luka birthday art -> it's snowing and he's in that cold weather, holding and contemplating his birthday cake, we don't know if he's alone

So, I have an hc of sort:

MiziSua's wedding was celebrated on Sua's birthday (I know her dress isn't really screaming winter wedding) and everyone else was invited to attend

The next day, Luka's birthday no one could attend, MiziSua were on their honeymoon and Ivan and Till were probably facing the concequences of getting too drunk to the point of waking up next to each other in the same bed naked

Having nothing to do he decided to go for a walk even though it was snowing

While walking he spotted a silutte in the distance, it seems to be carring something in their arms

As he got closer he could make out who that was: Hyuna

When she noticed he reconised her she began to run thowords him handing him the cake she was carring

Luka was dumbfound and remained mesmerized by the cake as Hyuna lighted up the candles

It's so important to me how HyunA and Luka's dynamic was portrayed in these two frames alone. Luka, with such an adoring expression, focused solely on HyunA despite the gun pointed at his head; in contrast, HyunA is avoidant of him entirely

Those intense expressions on his face are so ironic, he is almost always portrayed as indifferent, he even looks down on others who lose control of their emotions so easily, but he's like a child immediately when he sees HyunA again (the tears beading on his eyelashes the feeling in his eyes, damn), it could be speaking for his obsession with her that he latches onto her again after being separated because he had always wanted her back in some way. It seems like to Luka a "realization" was settling in when HyunA adjusts and moves forward without looking back at him again, but there are so many things that could be happening in this scene. I think they're using Luka as a bargaining chip for HyunA's plan, considering his importance

I mostly wonder where HyunA is emotionally here. She isn't as volatile as she was when she was a child anymore as she's grown. Years apart have dulled the sentimentalities, but seeing Luka again is so overwhelmingly personal. It's so symbolic for her as a character who embodies freedom and growth that she has such a strong principle to put the rebellion first and think for herself, choosing to not stay stuck in the past after everything, Luka has always been confronted with death and overcame it, death isn't a threat to Luka as much as it is to others he's blatantly indifferent to it, in a situation like there where he could live or die and it would be mostly up to HyunA, I wonder if she can actually see it through

I had a feeling Wiege would mostly be Luka and HyunA's memories, but with the addition of the rest of the cast (if not because of Mizi) it could be to show a contrast with Luka, with the pacing of the scenes I see it connecting back to the recollection pieces, Mizi and Sua smiling together, Ivan and Till coexisting quietly, HyunA and Hyunwoo and a scene of Luka (that I think happened before he killed Hyunwoo), tracing back to their most important memories,

Luka remembers being out of place and by himself, a lonely child until he met Hyunwoo and HyunA

Ivan was the only one of 4nakt who never knew love. He was not raised with love. He was a product surrounded by love, a gift for a wife, able to see Mizi and Sua's love as nothing but pure. He truly, truly believes he was never loved. But he does not think he desires Till to reciprocate his love for him. He wants to see Till free. He wants to see Till survive. He exists, believing his love for Till was never anything but his own selfish feelings, feelings he believed were so deep and impure. His early childhood and relationships with aliens was one with only apathy and detachment. Love was not a concept in these. How could he ever feel love in a world like that?

But Till loved. Till was a person of love. He loved loud, he loved quiet. He loved traditionally and non-traditionally.

Till loved him. Till loves him. Even if Ivan never knew. Even if he never felt it. Till was surrounded by love and loved back even harder. Whether or not it was the same love isn't really relevant. Because Till loved Ivan. He let Ivan into his space when he let no one else. He stayed with Ivan. He let Ivan tease him. He was by Ivan's side until the end. And so, so much more. He loved Ivan.

Ivan was loved. He may have come from a place without it, may have thought he only knew of concepts of it, may have believed his love was a corrupt thing, if he ever understood that he felt love, but he was loved in return.

And he never knew he was loved, not even once he died. He died, in an act of love for Till, giving his life up so his love could survive. Ivan was surrounded by love until the day he died. He was loved as strongly as he loved. And he never knew. He died in belief that he was unlovable. He never knew he could expect love back. He never knew that a reciprocated love could exist. He believed his love was something he was alone in. He lived his life for his love of Till and died it as well.

And he never knew that he was loved too.

Wiege broke my heart in a million ways, one of them being the realization once again that Ivan was left behind.

Ivan initially believed that he and Sua were similar. That they both loved without reciprocity. But he quickly realized that Sua's feelings for Mizi were mutual. And Ivan was lonely in his feelings for Till.

A large part of the Alien Stage fandom saw similarities between Ivan and Luka. They were both crazy in their own way, had difficulty showing their emotions, longed for someone who rejected them or loved someone else. Some of the fans (Ivanluka shippers) saw potential in this. Two men, who loved too much without reciprocity, could find understanding and closeness in each other after all.

But Wiege showed that Luka's feelings were not unreciprocated. That Hyuna cared about Luka much more than we thought.

So, in the end Ivan was left alone again, as the only character no one loved.

MIZI IN ROUND 7 MY BELOVED

She is Till's ray of hope on this round. He resigned himself to dying, he gave up practically. Choked in regret and misery, he was alone- Mizi was missing, likely dead and is dead.

The way his eyes light up ans he regains vitality. He was overwhelmed and felt truly alone, like in Rouns 6 he resigned hinself to dying. But this time, it felt like he was mentally at the brink too, because of round 5 and 6.

Seeing Mizi was like a wake up call to him- a spark and miracle. The push he needed to snap put of it.

He loves Mizi.

It may not be reciprocated, romantically, but the care is mutual.

The round is practically over though, but Till has regained his spark- the same spark that makes him able to fight aginst aliens and win for a few seconds before they put him on a leash again.

And Luka realises this.

Till is driven by emotions, and in the blink of an eye can drastically change actions and make multiple moves when motivated and charged.

This scene shows how Mizi and Till are eachothers final hopes.

This round is called Final, not for it being the end of this alien stage- not with out special guests here. But it's the end of what these 2 jad left.

Alien stage is cruel, and it presented multiple instances of false hope. It repeats again and again.

With tbe aliens believing Ivan would win, until he gave it up and in a blink was gone.

With Mizi and Sua beleiving they could tie, and the brief second they felt they did, until in a blink Mizi got 1 more point and Sua was gone.

For Hyuna, who once had both her brother and Luka one moment and seemingly the next lost it all, and by the hands of someone she trusted. Evrrything she had, gone seemingly in a blink.

Hope is fleeting in alien stage. And I feel like it's why the things in the back are also temporary means of happiness shown repeatedly- such as the shooting stars Ivan enjoys and finds peace in, and the flower crown that had its own background story in the mvs with Mizi and Till. Thsy taper off and die or pass eventually. But they're watched carefully by wide eyes.

It repeated, that joy and hope lost in the matter of seconds.

Blink, gone.

Except, Mizi and Till didn't blink. They watched, eyes wide and focused, and perhaps its thar focus and consumation of hope and emotion that doomed them to barely meet eachothers hands and escape the shot in the crowd.

There is no hope, in a cruel alien stage.

And it's ironic that as always, Till feels like he's won for a few seconds when acting against the aliens, only to lose to them a moment later. This time it's permanent.

"Echoes of a Lost Star"

Till

• Till was always the most gentle with you, treating you like a fragile little thing that needed to be protected. He’d always fuss over you, making sure you weren’t overworking yourself or getting into trouble.

• He saw you as a little sibling he needed to protect from the horrors of Alien Stage. When you died, he completely shut down. His hands shook so badly that he could barely hold a microphone.

• He stopped talking for a while, unable to process the loss. It wasn’t until he saw Mizi trying to comfort him, equally broken, that he let himself cry.

• He never forgot you. Sometimes, when no one was around, he’d whisper your name, as if hoping you’d answer back.

• Ivan wasn’t the type to show affection, but you were one of the few he genuinely cared for. He wasn’t obvious about it, but he always kept a watchful eye on you.

• He didn’t let many people close, but you were an exception. When you died, something inside him snapped. He’d always been cold, but now, he was ice.

• He kept everything of yours—anything you left behind, any small reminders. He wouldn’t let anyone touch them.

•During his performances, he no longer cared about winning or attention. He was just going through the motions, empty inside.

• You were like a younger sibling to Mizi, someone she could joke around with and feel a little less alone. She’d always make sure you were smiling, even when things were at their worst.

Hyuna adored you, treating you like her own sibling. She was always ruffling your hair, cracking jokes, and making sure you were okay.

When you died, she lost a part of herself. She blamed herself for not being able to protect you, for not doing more.

She drank more after that, trying to numb the pain. But no amount of alcohol could bring you back.

She made sure no one forgot you. She spoke about you often, reminding others that you existed, that you mattered.

Ivan & Till: When One Character's Inferiority Complex Meets Another's Superiority Complex

To outline what's already been said in this post about Till's apparent tendency to view himself as "superior" to his peers: There's often a mindset that those who lack companionship will adopt to protect themselves from the idea that can come with loneliness that there's something wrong with them. This idea is best summed up as "I'm alone because I'm different. I'm better than them."

Till seems to have adopted this mindset. We know based on the ALNST comics with the Ivan and Till "Cheer up!" scene that Till is lonely. He has no friends. And when Ivan bluntly points this out to Till, Till lashes out hard, hitting Ivan and knocking him to the ground before storming away. Ivan's observation got to him. It did what Ivan is always trying to do; it got a rise out of him.

To protect himself from fear (the fear that he only made it through Urak's experiments by chance, by sheer luck and not because he's better) and rejection (rejection from his peers, from Mizi, even an entire audience) Till has to convince himself in his head that there's a reason for all this. He's better off alone. He doesn't need anyone. Even Mizi, who he adores and admires, is kept at a distance. Till is never once upfront about his feelings. He can't take that sort of rejection, ESPECIALLY not from Mizi. He eliminates the chance of rejection altogether by simply watching her from afar rather than approaching her and really trying to be her friend.

Even a crowd Till acts like he doesn't care about? Like he doesn't care what they think, like he's beyond caring? In Round 2, he didn't even give them a chance to reject him. He made sure they couldn't. He didn't even let his opponent sing.

Ivan, on the other hand, doesn't seem all that concerned about rejection. Unlike Till's fear with Mizi, Ivan is all over Till and isn't deterred when Till reacts to his teasing with irritation. This doesn't mean Ivan isn't hurt by Till's rejections, specifically Till's last-minute decision not to run away with him, but this does mean Ivan is okay with being hurt again, and again, and again as long as he gets to be around Till.

Ivan's complete lack of care about his own mental state is the result of an inferiority complex. Ivan has absolutely no regard for his own wellbeing. He only cares about Till yet doesn't truly believe he's worthy of Till. I always find it interesting (and refreshing) that Ivan isn't jealous of Till's crush for capturing his attention. In fact, Ivan doesn't ever show signs of resenting Mizi at all. He treats her kindly and doesn't fixate on her in an unhealthy, envious way. They're friends despite the object of Ivan's affection being captivated by Mizi. While I love their dynamic and find it nice that Ivan isn't jealous of Mizi, jealousy is a natural human emotion, and Ivan's lack of it really tells me how little he thinks of himself. Why would he be jealous if he doesn't have a chance with Till in the first place? He'll content himself with existing in his orbit, thinking even this little piece of his attention is more than he deserves.

Like Till, Ivan doesn't open himself up to the chance of connection with other children at Anakt Garden, although their reasons seem inherently different. While Till fears rejection, Ivan doesn't seem to even see a point. Till asks himself "What's the point?" in an attempt to convince himself he doesn't need friends, though he doesn't believe it. Ivan asks himself the same question and genuinely doesn't know the answer. No, Ivan is not invincible to being hurt or rejected. Maybe he's past fearing any such thing at a certain point because nobody knows who he really is anyway, not even Ivan himself. How can he be afraid of someone hurting him if they can't touch him? The one time he expresses himself genuinely with Till, he knows that he won't have to deal with the consequences. He won't have to deal with the hurt that comes with being open again.

Having such radically different views of themselves, their relationships with others, and the world around them, it's no wonder Till and Ivan lack communication and understanding. As individuals, they have deeply complex psyches; Till keeps pushing people away, and Ivan keeps letting himself be pushed and then coming back around even though he already knows the result. He just doesn't see worth in anything in his life that isn't Till and this cycle. They both long for connection but don't know how to reach it. For them to come to an understanding, Ivan has to recognize his own worth (something Till uses as a defense mechanism) and Till has to open himself up to hurt (something Ivan does to an unhealthy degree).

They're identically opposite.
