After watching this, I always thought Galadriel would speak black speech with Adar. I had this theory Galadriel, alongside Adar would speak the "In flames they return to darkness" black speech bit after battle. Turns out it was just Sam and Morfydd bonding over black speech 😭

galadriel standing on top of that mountain ledge alongside the high-king, elrond, and arondir, resplendent after her confrontation with sauron, was such a beautifully triumphant moment on the heels of him saying he would have stopped at nothing until all of middle-earth worshipped her light. they already do!!! everyone galadriel meets is moved and inspired by her and sees, even if they don't know it, the very light of valinor - a goodness and bravery that knows the darkness and is resolved to fight it. as much as her arc involves sauron and was propelled by him in part, she doesn't need him. she isn't defined by him. she remains the lady of light because that is who she is and nothing and no one, not even sauron can take that away from her. just as celebrimbor has found peace somewhere sauron can never follow, galadriel ends the season reclaiming herself. and i think that's beautiful.
