Moving forward is hard...

 I try to do my best, moving forward, making new dolls, working hard to create new things, but losing Lily still hurts, and sometime it’s like a big gaping hole in my heart.

Preorder Update

I am very sad to report some unfortunate news as emails have went out now to those who have preordered. I posted the prototype Lily via USPS Priority Mail on September 7th to the Fantasy Doll facility in China and she has not reached her destination.  I filed for a missing package search two weeks ago, and yesterday I received a letter stating that neither USPS or China post know where the package is. I have been given the insurance claim forms for filing for a reimbursement.   A postage reimbursement could of course never cover the value of the prototype, and cannot bring our girl home. The post office gives a deadline of November 30th to file for a package claim. I have been informed that filing a claim means that all measures to find the package will come to a halt. I would like to wait until November 28th to see if the package moves further.  If it has not moved by then, I will fill out the paperwork for an insurance payment and begin the process of refunding everyone who has paid for their doll. Nothing can express how much I appreciate everyone's support for Lily and my work. I am very, deeply grateful for the positive reception we have received.

Mithral Dolls Lily - Now open for Preorder!

Thank you all for sharing my journey with Lily! We are now seeking people to open their homes to this darling little half-elf girl. She is my first doll, totally hand-sculpted and jointed by me. Click HERE for the order form!

Lily stands 35cm tall and wears 12mm eyes. She has a 6″ head.  She is double jointed in the knees and the elbows, and utilizes a faceplate system.  She has a removable tooth piece which can be moved inside of her faceplate.

I have chosen Fantasy Doll to cast Lily.  I am confident that their expertise will help me deliver the best product. They have years of BJD experience both with their own dolls as well as casting artist dolls, and they are on the cutting edge of doll-finishing technology!

I am happy to offer two skintones: a beige skin tone, which could be called a ‘normal’ or a ‘pinky normal’, and a dark tan skin, which is somewhat unique. This color is darker than a normal company tan, I would call it maybe ‘mocha’ colored.

Preorders will run now  through August 31st or until 10 dolls are sold. In the event we fill up early, I will post a last call for additional orders. Because this is a preorder, Lily won’t head out to visit the caster until the preorder period has ended. Then, estimate about 75 days before she returns back to the US.

Prices for Lily are $330 for beige skin or $360 for dark tan skin. This does not include shipping. Shipping will be charged based on weight when Lily is ready to ship. Fill out the form and I will invoice you directly. If you are interested in layaway, contact me at  mithraldolls@gmail.com .

 I’ve decided to name her ‘Lily’, as she’s my little stargazer. I want to name all my dolls after flowers.
