the young girl knocked lightly on the door of the gym. just a fresh faced young thing. bleach blonde hair pulled up off her head in a ponytail, ESU shirt gave her away as a college student. her green eyes were angry and ... haunted. young, and already someone hurt her. which ... drove her here.

          “Do I sound like that?  No, really, do I actually sound like that?  Because if that’s the case, I need to immediately and excessively apologize to literally anyone I’ve ever spoken to, ever, in my entire life.”  And there’s only room for one dashing guy in a tarted-up tin can here, and Tony was here first.  He’ll admit, this is making him really question some of his life choices and behaviors that will more than likely require some self-reflection he’s not actually really eager to do.  Is it...Is it genetic?  Nature over nurture to sound like an absolute tool?  Not that it can be, right, he’s not even really a Stark, he’s just got the name.  Nurture over nature, then?

She wasn’t sure if he was upset because she bought him a better fitting tuxedo so he could look just like he did. Or if he was getting emotional. She’d weather it either way-- she loved him, would do anything for him, really. Even if she felt a little like he should take it easy at his age-- and maybe... not go out after the JSA. Ah well, this was the life she chose-- he was the one she chose.
