I only have TWO WEEKS to finish these gifts.
Okay, that's not true. Yes, TWO WEEKS before we go do the holiday thing with my bro and his family and my step-dad, but they would be okay if I had to give the gifts late.
However, the blanket I can absolutely see not being quite finished, but the cardigan and the Kissy Missy and my boo's slippers, are all doable.
...and I really want to finish the blanket...
I just need to stay the fuck away from Stardew Valley.
I was watching some funny SDV let's plays, and it reminded me I haven't played SDV since the 1.5 update, so there is a ton I haven't seen.
I played some last night (*cough* all night) and now that's all I wanna do!
So, I'm going to gently tell my little gaming obsessed brain that it will be there after the gifts are finished. As a treat, I can play it when I take breaks from crochet.
I am sure the gods are laughing their asses off, because they know as well as I do that I have the willpower of a starved monkey who just found the banana groves.
I'm sure those few who are also making gifts are also feeling about the same way whenever coming in contact with something else they wish they were doing. We shall get through this together, my darlings.
TO THE COFFEE MAKER!
.
.
--------------------- I'm not going anywhere near BG3 or FO4. There is no "just play a little" and put it down with those two. There is only "This game is my life now."

video game asks: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 69 (heh), 70.
Thanks Missy!! :D
10. Ever go to a midnight game release or stand in line for hours?
Nope, I’ve been tempted though. My local store doesn’t do midnight releases.
20. Game that you know like the back of your hand?
Maybe Animal Crossing New Leaf/New Horizons?
30. How many consoles do you own?
1 Switch that I own personally. And then the family owns N64, PS2 and Wii.
40. What to you think of virtual reality headsets or motion controls?
Super cool but gives me a headache :’(
50. If you were a game designer, what masterpiece would you create?
I feel like I’d make something similar to Stardew Valley.
60. Do you know the Konami Code?
Nope
69. In your opinion, best game ever made?
Ahhhhhh. Breath of the Wild? I’m terrible at ranking games.
70. Very first game you ever beat?
I can’t really remember any of the games I played as a little kid but the first game I remember beating is Pokemon X
Ask me Video Game Questions :)

I’ve fallen in love with Cattails
Yo this game is the BOMB!! So basically, it’s Stardew Valley meets Warrior Cats.
It is bringing back cherished memories of when I used to be in love with the Warrior Cats series in middle school. I used to RP on a neat site all the time. My cat was Petalstorm, an easy going mother of three and at the time, one of Thunder Clan’s top fox fighters. But I digress.
In honor of all that, I’ve made my cat in Cattails a lilac point kitty named Petal! And I’m really, really enjoying things. It’s just... well, if I could’ve played this game in middle school, I would’ve been honestly over the moon.
And for an indie game it’s pretty great! It’s a slow paced game, best for those who like collecting things. There’s plenty of items to gather and stuff!! And hunting is fun. The graphics are decent, my only gripe is that the cat portraits seem a bit off, but hey, it’s nothing game ruining. Perhaps it’s my inner weeb just being confused by the lack of cute anime girls. (Rune Factory 4 satisfies that wonderfully <3)
It’s not a game for anyone who wants fast paced gameplay or deep thoughtful stuff, I’m gathering. I’m merely on year 3, playing on Normal mode, so take my words with a grain of salt.
Lemme just say I really adore this game so far. But I have a few more wishes! I wish the social aspect of the game was more fleshed out. The characters are pretty one note, with each having their certain main quirks and then not much else to learn beyond that. Although, I do adore Missy. First impressions, she seems a bit, well... bitchy. But when you befriend her, she becomes very cool!! She goes from “I am a queen” to “WE are queens!”. So sure she’s a bit snotty but the lady has confidence and I respect that.
I’m rambling on four hours of sleep so if this is even halfway coherent I’ll consider this post a success.
Cattails is good. Buy it, it’s on the Switch and PC!! I’ve got it on the Switch. Was only like 10-14$ too. I don’t really remember. But for a cheap game, it’s really fun!! I like it a lot!!

My Answers
1: What is your favorite band?
This is always a hard question for me to answer. I like so much different music. Today let's sayyyy..... Project Pitchfork : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aJ85G81m70
2: Is there a muse you wish to write as that you haven’t made a blog for?
Missy (from Dr. Who), and "Fish" Mooney (from Gotham).
3: Do you like musicals? Which one is your favorite?
Yes! If you want something more known, likely Phantom of the Opera. Something less known, let's go with The Devil's Carnival : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYb4X3GVFII
4: What do you study in college / plan to study in college?
As it so happened I studied Computer Programming.
5: Do you play video games? Have any favorites?
Yes, right now playing Stardew Valley and Diablo 3.
6: If you had to RP in a different fandom, which would you choose? [ for the fandomless OCs - if you had to assign your muse to a fandom, which would you choose?
If Rumple had to be in one Fandom... that's very hard, I dunno lol. Deep Space Nine maybe, marvel, DC... I dunno. Impossible to say honestly because I deliberately made Rumple in such a way she could function in all fandoms.
7: What is your favorite thing about your muse’s appearance?
Her eyes and smile actually. I likely describe them a touch too much in RP's but they are a rather important part of her and can say quite a bit about what she is truly thinking.
8: Do you have a favorite starter Pokemon?
Honestly... nope. I've missed out on playing so many different Pokemon games I have no idea.
9: What is the hardest part of playing your muse?
Her attitude and speech. Keeping her cryptic and playful without getting just annoying and redundant.
10: How did you first get into Rping?
Played AD&D when I was like... 10 or 12.
11: Do you believe in ghosts or cryptids?
Yes, ghosts. Hard not to when you have lived in haunted places before. Cryptids, it depends on which one but I am open to the idea.
QUESTIONS
Ummm, I suck at asking questions >.> so just use the ones I answered, they seemed like good ones!

Going with mom to Urgent Care (Her knee has been paining her really, really bad. She can still walk but knows she wouldn't be able to work in this condition so she's hoping the doctors will say something about it) so I'm not entirely sure when I'll be back.
I'll see ya when I see ya!

I finally got screenshots of Missy ‘n my co-op farm in Fall, Year 3!
there are things--like shed interiors, beehive/lightening rod farm, and light placement which are still under construction (see final image for farm plans)
but it has still come so far and I am super proud of it
notes:
mods shown include
Darker Wood and Gold Craftables Seasonal Vanilla Buildings
with editing done by me
zoom in by clicking here
this is Fall 9, Year 3; about ~70 hours on each of our save files (with more hours in redone days and even more in planning sessions)
NW sheds are filled with preserves jars (above) and kegs (below); NE sheds are in the process of being filled with kegs. I’ve found that putting a keg/jar outside the building which is synced to the interior processing cycle is stupidly useful and it’s a trick I wish I’d figured out ages ago
sustainable grass production is absolutely an issue with this many filled tiles (we have 16 animals right now)
all “decorative”/non-farm trees are also oak & are/will be tapped
the bottom “rotated C” Junimo layout is used for trellises in spring and summer
chests in L-R order are: seasonal crops (above), seasonal harvesting (below); seasonal seeds (above), misc/all seasons harvesting (below); empty chests; metals and precious stones + crystalariums; fishing (top to bottom: fish, shellfish, shells); foods/products (top to bottom: inedible/ingredients/produce for casks, consumable foods); various home goods (top to bottom: tools & misc., monster drops, crafting materials); garden tools and appliances including worm bin & seed makers
we opt not to use a shed for storage just to make chests easier & quicker to access
north horse is named Kony the Pony & is Missy’s horse, mostly; south horse is named Morse the Horse, and wears a flower behind his ear just like me
I’m the player on the left; Missy is the player on the right (I live in the wood log cabin)
I’m married to Shane; Missy is married to Leah
the dog’s name is Bobo and this is the first time he has ever behaved normally in his entire life
our first farm animal was Mamaboo the chicken, and she will never leave our home or our hearts
you’re looking at 696 687 pumpkins +1 giant pumpkin, x3 harvests per season; Missy took artisan and I took agriculturalist, which means that I have to plant  2088 pumpkin seeds all by myyyyyself this season QQ
my original solo game in year three was nowhere this large or polished; and, to be fair, I didn’t use planners, mostly avoided the wiki, never knew about Junimo huts; I was distinctly not min/maxing and I don’t regret that, it was a gentle & immersive experience
I know that some people reach this scale/polish in solo! & that there are mods to help with that
and there are limitations to the co-op beta, specifically in the passage of time--no pausing severely de-emphasizes the social sim aspect, and also make little things like inventory management and storage more challenging
but as an exercise in division of labor, in ambition and pre-planning, this has been the best multiplayer experience I’ve had in ages. Missy and I have been friends for approx. a billion years & communicate really well, and it’s just been so satisfying to use that, to make checklists and split up tasks. even that time we re-did our first massive planting day three (3) times felt good because we got it right! eventually! our workflow has become so streamlined & we are achieving the finished farm of my dreams, I love it

on the one hand, strictly playing on someone else’s farm is preventing me from destroying my wrists (again) with Stardew Valley
on the other hand, I think about playing the game all day and can do nothing about it
