So Webs has been acquired by Missouri Star.
Missouri Star is an LDS company that has done such lovely things as have a Juneteenth sale where only white cotton was on sale.
Not a company to support to say the least.

FINALLY. I can share these beautiful quilts that I made for friends as Christmas presents this past year. These are only the tops themselves, as I forgot to take finished product pics, but they are wonderful all the same!
First up we got spacey stars on galaxy background:
Purple and Green floral prints with goose tracks pattern (this one had borders but again, I forgot to take pics of it):
Next are some classic 1930's reprints:
This pink and blue quilt:
And finally this carpenter's star using Kaffe colors:
I also had my mom help embroider a little logo on the back of each quilt and I had tons of fun doing this project.
I used (and for some did my own variation of) the Missouri Star Quilt Company's tutorials for each of these quilts. Those ladies really know their stuff! It will be a long, LONG time before I try doing so many of them at once though lol!
My friends told me that they all love their quilts, one of which almost fell asleep under it during the party, which made me a little teary eyed in a happy way
#quilting#quilt tops#I'm gonna make some more posts detailing the other projects I worked on last year as well I just wanted the Christmas gifts to be together#quilt#my quilts

Hi! If I may inquire, how did you find about that quilt magazine? I have a teacher who is very much into crochet, and she loves magazines as a pattern source, and id love to know if the place where you get that magazine from has any sort of similar project for other crafts
Independent of subscriptions:
For subscriptions:
Check out your local library too. I can access books and magazines through the Libby app by using my library card.
Bookstores also sell quilt magazines, independent issues with subscription cards inside, and used bookstores have old quilt magazines as an option.
Missouri Star has its own magazine as well.
I bought a stack of issues in a grab bag deal in December. A total of 70 issues for $70. I gave the repeats to friends and family.
This is a personal favorite:
The website has all sorts of goodies and thousands of free patterns.
At the top of my blog are links to free quilt patterns as well. Share those with your teacher for some delight.

Quilt in progress: I’ve finally basted a quilt that has been on the go for a couple of months now. The design is based on a tutorial from the Missouri Star Quilt Company called “Summer in the Park.” The second quilt I ever made was using this tutorial, and I wanted to make a new, colourful version. It’s using all Kona cotton solids, in Eggplant, Pomegranate, Lilac, Chartreuse, Papaya and Buttercup.
I started this quilt soon after I moved to Ottawa. It sat up on my “design wall” for a long while before I finally sewed it together. Then, it sat again as a finished quilt top until I finally pieced a backing and basted it.
I’m going to try to finish it up before this weekend’s Makers and Shakers market that I’m participating in! Hopefully I’ll have the time to finish it up.
Linking up with Work in Progress Wednesday.

Some of my favorite layer cakes that I’ve found on the Missouri Star Quilt Company’s Website
I think my favorite has to be the top right, the Strawberries and Cream Single Scoop layer cake by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts for Andover Fabric
I think if there was a gold/yellow/white layer cake similar to the top two I would absolutely love to have it, I wanna make a springtime quilt with daffodils on it!
#fabric posting#this is NOT an ad for them btw I just like watching their videos#and also online window shopping#I plan on doing a lot of quilting this year#specifically I want to do at least 3 quilts for some besties#and a friendship group quilt with those same friends plus a few others to enter into the county fair#and also a block-of-the-month quilt#ALSO also I wanna do my dream quilted coat styled to look like stained glass windows

It's raining!!!
After I finish my lunch and take a shower, I will be firmly planted in my sewing room. All 17 tops are done, and today will be the beginning of quilting them. Coasters first, then I'll work up to the table runner. No yardage is left from any of the five fabrics, just a bunch of scraps and strips. These are gonna be used for scrap projects you'll soon see in the shop.
My goal is to have all 17 pieces done and in the wash by Sunday. If I receive no new commissions, thr next projects will all be Halloween themed. It would be nice if I could go purchase more Halloween fabric, but I'll work with what I have. I did treat myself to some Halloween fabric that Missouri Star Quilting Company has on sale. They're precut bundles, and I have every intention if using them this year.
Please commission me for a Halloween quilt. Use GOHOGWILD for 15% off as a thank you from me. The rule for this coupon code is you give me full artistic license, and yiy just choose the size range. I really want to make Halloween things.
Okay, finishing lunch so I can shower and then go play in my sewing room.

Details on our shipping policies and rates. International shipping details and return information as well.
I didn't realise that the Missouri Star Quilt Company changed their international shipping prices back to normal, so it's actually affordable again! Oh man, this is so very difficult to resist.
Order Size - Shipping Rate (International)
Orders up to $100 - Ship for $25 flat
Orders from $100-$200 - Ship for $35 flat
Orders $200 or more - Ship for $40 flat! *BEST VALUE*
Oh Canada Rates, eh :)
For our friends north of the border, we'll keep it simple, eh. All Canadian orders ship for $20 flat. So grab your favourite (ya, that's right, we spelled favoUrite the Canadian way) Tim Horton's beverage and bowl of poutine, and kick back and relax while you order 'til your heart's content :)
(US peeps, you get a flat fee of $5 for up to $100, and then free after that, you lucky people!)
In case nobody gets why I'm so excited about this, it's because MSQC is the BEST place to get fabric pre cuts from. Seriously, check it out if you don't believe me. Also, it's a family business who is the largest employer in their small town, and they've actually revived the economy in that town.
Temptation to buy all the fabric is all too real!

I just finished this Missouri star quilt company pattern called Forest Lights. This quilt was made using Moda Grunge in Cider ( the teal color) and a pack of Moda ten inch squares. I don’t remember the name of the layer cake used as I have had it in my stash for 2 years.
