I was tagged by @missn11 to play the fic authors' self rec game! Spreading the self-love keeps fandom alive! Below are five of my favorite fics I've written.

"A Monastery Hides More Than Bones" - VtM Anatole/Beckett - This fic was a real magical moment for me. An Anon suggested I write for the pairing. My brain latched onto the idea, and the words flowed easy. It took me like less than 4 days to write, edit, and publish. The a03 comments are particularly effusive and kind--and led to a long online friendship.

"What Is Made" - Star Trek TOS, Gen - I'm proud of this one because 1) a publisher considered it for a hot minute and 2) I actually made a plot, and 3) it features cameos of original characters who are dear and do not appear elsewhere. With fanfic, I tend to skip to the good bits. Here I made myself slow down. And I made a friend laugh about how a muffin is a pivotal plot point.

"Patriotism and Prejudice" - MCU/P&P crossover, Steve/Bucky - In addition to being fun to write and inspired by the Marrying Mr Darcy card game, this fic makes my wife laugh so much. If I wasn't proud then, I am now.

"Bonpensiero Bloodlines Remix" - VtM:B, Beckett/OC - Speaking of pride, I'm proud of this one because it accomplished exactly what I wanted. That is, to insert the Bonpensieros into Bloodlines. I envisioned this fic as like, scaffolding to attach to the main Bloodlines game and/or other fanfic retellings. The result not only accomplishes this goal, but also stands fairly well on its own.

"Army Appreciation Trip 18XX" - Ikemen Revolution, Seth/Alice(/Sirius/Harr) - This one I've talked about a lot on tumblr. I'm so happy with all the technical aspects. I got to indulge the blorbos. I juggled 15 prompts into a cohesive narrative. The MC's gender is blank. I made the posts pretty, posted them on time, and boosted them. This fic was the first time it twigged in my brain "hey, what if you looked up reference photos for the sex stuff, like you would for a drawing?" IDK why I didn't think of that before. Complicated sex scenes became WAY easier to describe and the prose much better.

Thank you again for the tag, friend!!!! I was struggling writing today, and doing this game really boosted my confidence. :D

Important Story

So if any of you and/or one of you who are following her and/or subscribed to her on Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube, and/or DeviantArt, NK11, and/or MissN11Vamp (@artthemasquerade) abandoned me from last September 2023 (11 months ago) by blocking me on Instagram then on DeviantArt and leaving me all alone here abandoned by saying -

"I’ve given it some thought and honestly how you completely trampled over Nick's very clearly stated boundaries and you constantly deflecting when I called you on it was extremely disappointing to me"

"He had clearly stated that he did not want those edits you made to be public or for him to be linked to them as it could cause problems with his family."

"You either did not listen to him or did not take him seriously and did it anyway and honestly you seem to have next to no remorse in crossing his boundaries like that."

"You decided that risking his privacy and relationship with his family was fine if you got to do what you wanted in the end."

"You have on a lesser extent tried to walk over my boundaries when I told you I didn't want to read something, either by sending it to me anyway or try to push me when me saying no once should've been enough."

"I cannot trust or be friends with someone who does not respect other people's boundaries."

"Your wants are not the only things that matter and you need to learn to ask permission when your wants involve other people and actually respect the answer they give you." … And that is into which I didn't understand it from her at first at all and when I first said to her as I tried to respond to her saying and telling  her - "Back from this morning - That text you send me…I need to know…Just…I mean…MissN11/NK11, What are you saying to me?…Are you telling me and saying to me that…We’re not friends anymore?…And..You don’t trust me anymore?…Is that what you’re saying to me?…After everything that you and I have been through for 4 months of this year?…" … And then, Nothing…No response from her alone until I looked to her account and it said - "No user found"…

So if any of you and/or one of you who are following her and/or subscribed to her on Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube, and/or DeviantArt, Here is my very biggest special message that I really wanted to say this to her right now as of now -

"Well MissN11, NK11, and/or MissN11Vamp…If you are hearing this from me since if you are here if you are finally ready to be able to talk back to me and to answer me from the last few months since you didn't answer me back then after you send me this very long message of your to me saying this right in font of me just like that saying:

"Was no accident or a mistake as a misunderstanding here, It was on purpose from you that you always had it out from me because what I done here was something nice to someone that I'm a fan of, But you just did it to me just to hurt my feeling and just to break my heart within me…And then after when you just left me,…I lost everything within all of my hope and so much all because of you…And even when I tried begging you for your forgiveness from my mistake and this misunderstanding situation here into which that you didn't understood it from me after when I tried to explain to you,…You just turn your back away from me like you just didn't even care about me at all and yet you still will not admit to me that it is your fault and to apologize to me for abandoning me, hurting me and my feelings back then…"

"So why???…Why did you do this to me???…Why???…Why did you do this to me???…Why did you abandon me by blocking me out and leaving me all alone on Instagram just like that to me???…What did I ever do to you to deserve this from you - I never did anything to you or did something hurtful and wrong to you just to make you do this to me…It was a mistake that I made back then - It was and I'm sorry about this!!!…"

On the radio the other day I heard "Good Luck Babe" by Roan Chappell aka Stardew Valley Haley song. I adore the lyric video for its late 90s/early 00s clip art aesthetic.

I've also been going through your Devilman AMVs again! I last put "I'm Not Afraid" on loop. When Jack pops out of that mountain of skulls! When Akira punches that Amon-looking guy with no remorse! When Ryo shows up!!!! aaaaaaaaHHHHHHHHH

Edit: Made some slight changes to Elric.

This is sort of a gift for @missn11. We both have Ventrue OCs who answer to LaCroix but who are just kinda remarkably taller than him (at least according to our height headcanon). And that’s it, that’s the joke. 

Elric is my OC and Gloria is hers, both of them are our respective Bloodlines Ventrue Fledglings who have kind of evolved into their own larger stories.

Elric at first eagerly fell in line as LaCroix’s main task force because of the sense of purpose it gave him but eventually grew fed up with the prince’s flippant nature and obsession with the Ankaran sarcophagus (hence the sour face here. XP). Even so, Elric was stunned when the Prince actually placed a Bloodhunt on him and in a fury of righteous indignation took an active part of his downfall. Gloria is LaCroix’s actual childe whom he Embraced after he accidentally killed her while feeding on her. He wiped her memory and framed her siring on a political rival. Not knowing any of this, she still ends up being a spy for the Anarchs from almost the moment she meets Nines. 

It of course doesn’t end well for LaCroix on either count. 

Had I had more energy, this idea was originally a comic which ended with the Sheriff coming up behind Elric and Gloria to ominously tower over them as short king LaCroix continued to prattle away.

I thought I couldn't make a Ryo/Miki amv but damn it I do love a challenge and I thought this song fitted them well 😭 Hopefully one day there will be an adaption of Violence Jack that includes both Ryo and Miki and their romance  too, cause if they do, I am for sure gonna make a ton of Ryo/Miki and Akira/Miki/Ryo amvs! XD
