you dont understand how in love i am with benji dunn. he plays halo on company time. he unironically loves the opera. hes trained himself to bypass a lie detector test. he cant tell his left from his right. he would follow his best friend to hell and back he just wishes he’d stop going there. he loves playing dress up. he runs his mouth when hes anxious. he back seat drives in the middle of a high speed car chase. he fucking hates the cia. hes even gay.

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Mission: Impossible (Movies) Rating: General Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Benji Dunn/Ethan Hunt Characters: Ethan Hunt, Benji Dunn Additional Tags: Angst and Hurt/Comfort, Post-Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015), Love Confessions, First Kiss, Protective Ethan Hunt, Panic Attacks Summary:
Ethan still sees it, he hasn't stopped seeing it, even when Benji took the vest off all he could see was the timer stuck on the man's chest. The ticking echoes in his ears, in the silence of the safehouse it's thundering against his skull. He needs to make sure he's just seeing things.

benthan one night stand fic where benji tells ethan he loves him afterwards but ethan can’t let this be more than it was because if it’s real it means benji will be put at greater risk and used against him just like julia was so he lies and tells benji it meant nothing and it was a mistake and he doesn’t have feelings for him

Mission Impossible movie thoughts as I was watching it. SPOILERS BELOW (with some memes sprinkled in)
The IMF being like "Ethan, for the love of FUCK, can you PLEASE just do the mission like a normal spy and not go rouge I am BEGGING you."
Ilsa will lay waste to as many humans as needed but not shoot a single horse. I appreciate that. I hope the desert horses live good lives
Luther and Benji when Ethan asks how things are going and he doesn't know about the nuclear bomb:
Tumblr media
No but seriously the stress of that scene was something else really.
Grace is fine as a character. She's essentially, like Ghost Protocol / Rogue Nation Benji, being the everyman and all that. It did annoy me a bit how she was constantly told how big the thing she'd gotten herself into was and she still kept running away
Paris was essentially this
Tumblr media
for most of the movie and I love her for it. I hope she shows up in part two.
"No, Ilsa, stop hugging me! I'm supposed to be angry at you for not letting me work alone >:c "
Gabriel is a cool villain. He ain't no Lane but I do love he's just smug about everything all of the time with his "It is written" bullshit
Tumblr media
Show me what they did with Ilsa's corpse and then I'll believe she's dead. If they can do a Benji mask fakeout twice in one movie, they can do an Ilsa death fakeout twice too. I'm not considering this to be the worst M:I movie ever because a character may or may not be dead in one half of an unfinished story.
Vanessa Kirby really got to bring more to the White Window this time round and I'm so happy she got developed more. Especially her fear.
But also her acting of being drugged was hilarious, 10/10
All in all, good movie! Not the best! Still prefer Rouge Nation and Fallout, but also it's one half of one massive story so I guess I need to watch part two to make proper judgement
Here's to The Entity and Gabriel being defeated by the power of friendship 🥂

---
So I very easily forget about movies, it turns out. I felt pretty confident in the first half, but I felt like I was reaching as I dipped into more and more franchises. Simple conclusion: I don't watch nearly enough Bollywood, and there aren't nearly enough musicals in my list! I tried to avoid Disney IPs until the very end, and I'd like to branch out in Asian cinema from the two directors I've watched so much of. Maybe now's the time to make a change!
If asked, do you think you could make a list of 100 of your favorite movies?
