what does "urbex" mean? is it just a word for abandoned buildings?

urbex is short for urban exploring!! it mostly entails exploring abandoned decrepit structures and places you're not supposed to be in. the main rule is "take nothing but pictures leave nothing but footprints". urbex makes for some wonderfully brainscratching photography! /pos

urbex is dangerous so dont be stupid about it! if one were to try: be careful when exploring because you CAN end up falling through the floorboards, CAN step on abandoned needles that are filled with piss and tetanus, best case scenario, and CAN finish your night with both a criminal record and asbestos poisoning! sometimes its illegal! take care, stay safe and take care to stay safe!!
