tbh i really don’t understand the whole “lucanis’s romance is disappointing” especially now that i’ve finished the fade ossuary mission. i feel like that quest especially emphasizes how lucanis doesn’t think he deserves to be loved or have affection because he thinks poorly of himself and also feels just trapped with his situation. a lot of you guys just wanted spice for romance when i’m sorry that’s just…not lucanis 😭 i actually think his story is far more romantic looking at it as a guy who doesn’t feel he deserves to be loved but rook shows him he does deserve love!! rook not appearing in the fade ossuary because “you open doors, never close them” rook opened a door for lucanis to be himself! with a romanced rook this could be a door to showing lucanis he can be loved! and when a romanced rook finds him there, he tells them he’d rather be stuck in his own personal hell than risk losing them! rookanis they don’t get you but i do
