I know Jared Hopworth is supposed to be a terrifying monster with too many limbs and a body that defies any recognisable form one could relate to humanity, but I can never picture him like that. I've never been able to picture this many-limbed monstrosity, but instead something much more subtle.
A man who at a glance could be normal. From a distance. You know how sometimes if you see a large animal your brain tries to make it into a person? Like that. The shape is that of a person, but wait... It's too big, the proportions are... Off.
There's nothing more terrifying than the slow realisation that something unprovable is very, very wrong.
#Eldritch horror in a creeping seething way... I like to think that a lot of the horror in tma is not exciting#Excitement makes horror too sexy... While I'm on a non-american food kick it's truly sad how little variety of fake meat there is in the US. Where I'm at we have one decent brand choice for fake meat but good luck finding a restaurant that has any vegetarian options (do not even bring up vegan). It was so easy finding vegan and vegetarian food in the UK, even the random chippy across from our flat had good veggie burger 🥲
#what im saying is i miss the chippy#i mean we got our fake bacon from ALDI of all places! our aldi here hardly even stocks turkey#i really cant complain cause we live right next to an all vegan restaurant which is like finding a unicorn in my state#or mothman if you catch my drift#but like. i want grocery options
