Thank you for considering with grave seriousness this matter.  Having been an artist launched via the Internet revolution only to see over a decade of illegal downloads and accredited to an icon (Marilyn Monroe) that has been dead for over 50 years.    Young artists that have grown up listening to me for over a decade and yet, they have no visual knowledge nor care to purchase and support the union players that play on the tracks.   It gives no voice to indie artists.  That CBGB closes and a swanky men's store steps in for tourists to shop at and look like rock stars, while rock stars go without income unless they are commercially subsidized.   There will be no vision or future for the entertainment business, if a stronger stand is not taken.  Creatively yours~ Ms. Cynthia Basinet
