Time to be like Sam Kriss or @kontextmaschine for a moment. Let's completely ignore all the material everything, just for right now, and sniff around the psychosexual currents in the air.
----------------
There's nothing to unite hostile factions like a common even-more-hated enemy.
When I try to think of plausible common enemies for the US's warring culture tribes...
(...well, OK, there are some universally-loathed made-for-TV monsters like the child molester. But being anti-child-molester isn't going to work as a cultural-engineering gambit. The issue is too obvious and baked-in-already to have any juice; it's just going to be subverted into more ammunition for the existing culture wars. So barring that kind of thing...)
...the best I can come up with is George Wickham.
You know: the cad. The fuckboy. The shallow, callous man who uses his limited charm to seduce and exploit women.
Most of the cultural left hates guys like that because they make women's lives miserable. Most of the cultural right hates guys like that because they undermine the sociosexual compact, and crowd out the less-flashy guys who are [understood to be] their moral superiors in most of the relevant ways.
(At this point, of course, each tribe firmly believes that the other one is essentially and irredeemably pro-fuckboy. I think it likely that someone will try to defend that kind of thesis in the notes to this comment, and I think it would have been even likelier without this parenthetical.)
I wonder how far some charismatic leader could get with a loud consistent message of "caddishness is despicable and worthy of condemnation." Probably you'd have to be careful about threading the needle enough to incorporate both "this is fundamentally an anti-shitty-men message, not a misogynist message" and "women have some degree of sociosexual responsibility to do their part in the Great Anti-Fuckboy Crusade, falling for a fuckboy's charms should leave you feeling stupid and ashamed."
----------------
Or, to advance the core thesis in a simpler way:
You do know that it's weird to see a bunch of resentful incels deciding to throw their support behind Donald Trump, right? You do know that resentful incels traditionally hate men like Donald Trump more than anything else in the entire universe?

2 Important things to note about the Death Penalty EO:
1 • There is a possibility that it will be used in conjunction with the raids and concentration camps.
Why: Examine the verbiage within the EO. Sec 1, Paragraph 2: "President Biden commuted the sentences of 37 of the 40 most vile and sadistic rapists, child molesters, and murderers on Federal death row: remorseless criminals who brutalized young children, strangled and drowned their victims, and hunted strangers for sport."
Trump & MAGA have historically referred to immigrants(and trans people) using these terms.
Sec. 3 (b) (ii) "In addition to pursuing the death penalty where possible, the Attorney General shall, where consistent with applicable law, pursue Federal jurisdiction and seek the death penalty regardless of other factors for every federal capital crime involving: (ii) A capital crime committed by an alien illegally present in this country."
A "Capital Crime" already generally means that the death penalty may be adequate, so to include "illegal alien" in the verbiage is intentionally meaningful.
Sec. 6: "The Attorney General shall appropriately prioritize public safety and the prosecution of violent crime, and take all appropriate action necessary to dismantle transnational criminal activity in the United States."
^ This one isn't even sneaky wording.
2 • It is likely to set the framework for attacking the LGBT community - primarily the trans community.
Why: Project 2025 calls for classifying the LGBT community and parents & doctors that provide gender affirming care for minors as sex offenders.
Page 1 of P2025: "children suffer the toxic normalization of transgenderism with drag queens and pornography invading their school libraries"
Page 5: "Pornography, manifested today in the omnipresent propagation of transgender ideology and sexualization of children"
"Its purveyors are child predators and misogynistic exploiters of women."
"Pornography should be outlawed. The people who produce and distribute it should be imprisoned. Educators and public librarians who purvey it should be classed as registered sex offenders."
"Allowing parents or physicians to “reassign” the sex of a minor is child abuse and must end."
Remember: They believe "transgender ideology" is porn.
This post is not intended to cause panic or a sense of doom, but to keep you informed of possibilities and as a reminder that we all need to be vigilant as we live within this administration. Be mindful, be rational, read and listen critically, and start building a community if you safely can. Know your rights.

my dad’s a cartoonishly evil and stupid person. like trump levels or possibly worse. no reading comprehension, no knowledge or aptitude at his supposed field (music teacher), an emotionally and psychologically abusive piece of shit for no reason other than he gets off on being evil, a literal child molester, lies constantly for no reason, a racist and misogynist and homophobe and transphobe, the only song he’s written i know of is about wanting to do domestic violence to a woman, he groomed my mom when she was a high schooler and he was a teacher, collects guns and cleans/shoots them when he’s mad to Send You Vibes
it sucks that he’s been fucking with me so much more lately basically entirely because fox news is making him fussy and his wife went to visit her parents for a week a couple months ago. it’s honestly been getting worse and worse. i’m a little worried he’s going to just finally rape and/or murder me when my mom is at work lol. i could absolutely kill him with my bare hands physically but he’s really into guns. for Self Defense 😇 just like every other abusive insecure piece of shit who gets guns—it’s because they want to fantasize more believably about killing humans and also intimidate people around them 😇

There were some gay-bashing jokes circulating in the park group. I read that you can report anonymously, so I flagged it to the group administration since it falls under politics, which isn’t allowed. It’s disturbing how many misogynistic, homophobic, and no doubt anti-semitic people live here.
Now that I think of it, I’m a little surprised the person would bash gays like that and laugh along with the others doing the same because I swear he was friends with Jim, the gay guy who moved to Brooksville. It still blows my mind though how many people support Trump and hate this totally harmless group that has done nothing in society but fight for equality. Everyone thinks they’re perverts or child molesters and I don’t see how 2 consenting adults of the same sex that love each other equates to either one. But so what if other groups have proven time after time to be a problem, right? Hell, I've been attracted to many women in my lifetime and have never once had the hots for anyone underaged. In fact, I've always preferred older women, even when I was younger.
Another shitty sleep. I really need to get some kind of sleep apnea device; this is getting ridiculous. No matter what position I slept in, I snored through my nose. I still suspect some of it might be related to my septum. If I can ever get into an ENT, maybe they can shed some light on it. I had other breathing issues too, and woke up feeling like I couldn’t suck in enough air.
I kept waking up either because my shoulder hurt, I was cold, or I had to get up and pee. I also had a few random dreams. One was of Andy, but it was too vague to recall much. In another, the mystery girl told me she likes blondes. I even dreamed about having a guinea pig and a couple of rats.
Anyway, I put away the laundry and cleaned the shower stall. I don’t know how much more energy I’ll have for cleaning tonight.
I also picked up a couple of plain white mugs from Walmart for about a dollar each since my other mugs are holding colored pencils now. I’m planning to get some paint pens to add a little color to the outside.

***TRIGGER WARNING*** pedophilia / rape culture
I'm sure you've seen at least one of my posts by now about how the conspiracy of some powerful elite cabal in the shadows to rape children is just a misogynist's inability to understand rape culture, and I guess I should probably go in depth on some of these ideas because everyone's posting the save our children hash tag .
So, first off, I want to start on a more constructive note and highlight some of the ways we could address the underlying issue of rape culture , so that it's clear what I'm saying is with the sole intention of *actually protecting children* before I start critiquing the conspiracy / hashtag .
#1) LEGALIZE SEX WORK For 100% clarity, I do mean sex work between consenting adults. If anything maybe even raise the age from 18 to somewhere between 20-25, but DEFINITELY do NOT lower it, at all. Legalizing sex work for adults would free up more resources to fight child sex trafficking, since without sex work being pushed into the black market, there wouldn't be anywhere near the demand for human trafficking when you could see a girl who can prove she is healthy, is actually consenting, and in a safe environment rather than having to enter sketchy dangerous situations where they are at far higher risks as the client as well. The average person hiring a prostitute has no interest in being a rapist, they're just lonely. The average person hiring a prostitute probably doesn't feel very safe around gangs and mobs and all that. And with sex work legalized, sex workers are FAR safer from the dangerous clients, or any criminal element they're forced to endure while operating in a black market. Less profit, means less resources for the sex traffickers, while our resources are properly spent actually protecting women and children from traffickers. Under the current system most our resources are spent punishing sex workers and their clients , while preserving the black market that incentives human trafficking.
#2) REPLACE VERTICAL HIERARCHIES WITH HORIZONTAL POWER STRUCTURES
Consolidating power in the hands of one person at the top , rather than spreading it across as many people as possible very obviously creates the situations where rich and powerful people can abuse that power. It's a lot harder to cover things up the more people you have to convince to be in on the cover up. I really feel this is self explanatory?
#3) MAKE SURE THERE ARE PROGRAMS IN PLACE TO HELP ANYONE STRUGGLING WITH THEIR PEDOPHILIA
Reminder there ARE pedophiles out there who are absolutely disgusted by their attraction to children, have never harmed a child, and are desperately seeking help to make sure they never do. There is a push to try and frame this argument as "defending pedophiles" , but would you execute someone who was molested as a child themselves, never hurt a child, and is legit disgusted by their urges? No? Well then we should probably make sure they have resources they can access to help them, yeah?
#4) NORMALIZE SEX AND STOP MORALIZING IT: A big part of pedophilia is more or less fetishizing innocence and "purity" , and is basically the mentality of "women are less valuable sexually the more sex they've had before you" taken to an absolutely disgusting extreme . Also kids being too sheltered and not feeling comfortable enough to talk to their parents are far more vulnerable to predators .
#5) EMBRACE COMMUNAL CHILD REARING OVER THE NUCLEAR MODEL While it would hopefully be the most basic primal instinct of a parent to protect their children from rapists , that's clearly not the case in practice. Frequently parents are complacent , if not directly involved when it comes to children who have been abused. Making sure children have a community watching over them would be far more effective than hoping parents are good people .
Now what's the big problem with these conspiracies ? Even if they aren't suggesting these solutions, at least they're raising awareness, right? Ehhhh...
I'm not accusing any INDIVIDUAL of doing this, but as a SOCIETY we have an ongoing issue of the hyper performative "execute the rapists!" ending up being super counter productive . Conservatives will swear they can't support rape culture because they "would gladly kill a rapist" But, then they only define rape as the most stereotypical violent assault in a dark alley while insisting rape victims "wanted it"
Also there is a really weird hypocrisy from some of the people sharing this shit where a bad picture of ellen degeneres looking old is proof she rapes and eats babies , but when your favorite rapper is accused of rape you demand video evidence from 4 angles , 25 eye witnesses, and want the defendant to be able to repeat her story backwards perfectly otherwise she's just a clout chasing whore.
And last but not least, Pizzagate literally originated on 4chan, a website over run with alt right pedophiles , and fits perfectly with the argument that conspiracies all blame society's issues on a shadowy cabal of jews. At the center of the conspiracy, there's the belief that donald trump is ACTUALLY the only one brave enough to fight evil satanic jewish pedophile shadow government and he's been "playing 5d chess this whole time". The root of the conspiracy is "Cultural marxist Jews want to rape your kids, and only Trump can save our children"
#SaveOurChildren just trims the fat to make it easier for you to chew with all that said, if reading what someone who's at least vaguely male-ish such as myself has to say about rape culture was the first time you realized that maybe it is an actual thing PLEASE read actual feminist writings about this stuff from women

Cancel Culture is a myth
I feel like at this point where everybody knows what cancel culture is. If you don’t know well it’s when a celebrity gets called out for something they said or done whether it be from the past or just recently, that person is cancelled or are they really? Cancel Culture is a myth that people use to justify a person’s actions by how we shouldn’t judge a person by their mistakes they made in the past and make that don’t get hold accountable. Cancel Culture is apparently suppose to ruin a person’s life to the point where people say that Cancel Culture has become toxic. However when you look at list of celebrities who have been in controversy in their times, those celebrities still have their jobs intact despite saying or doing unforgivable things.
Louis C.K was accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women and even admitted to doing so. When the news broke out, HBO removes his stand-up specials like Lucky Louie was removed and his film, I love you daddy was shelved. Louis C.k even disappeared for a while until he returned on the stage by performing at the Greenwich Village’s comedy cellar. Louis C.K was also on the news for quite sometime because of jokes he made that were offensive including when he mocked parkland school shooting survivors by saying:
“They’re testifying in front of congress. You’re not interesting because you went to a high school where kids got shot. Why does that mean I have to listen to you? Why does that make you interesting? You didn’t get shot. You pushed some fat kid in the way and now I’ve got to listen to you talking?”.
Lena Dunham whom is the ultimate white feminists and has been a lot of controversy including when she wrote about molesting her own sister, defended an alleged rapist and even tried to silence the victim despite saying that the only thing saying that women don’t lie about rape. Despite all of this and should’ve been cancelled when GIRLs came out. Lena Dunham is still working on future projects and is commission to write a script for a film about a Syrian refugee who was stranded. Tucker Carlson was exposed for defending cult leader, Warren Jeffs who was convicted for child sexual abuse. He also been known for saying misogynistic, racist and even said white supremacy doesn’t exist in America. But despite all of that, Tucker Carlson is still working on Fox News And gets to saying problematic things like how the El Paso shooter was mentally ill and not a white supremacist who drove to a city where 83% of the population are Hispanics. The race that the shooter was targeting because of trump. Scarlett Johansson also has fair share of controversy herself from playing an Asian character to openly supporting Woody Allen. This hasn’t stopped Scarlett Johansson from getting roles for future projects.
The list goes on and on. But as you can see from those examples I told you, Cancel Culture doesn’t exist nor does it ruins lives. A celebrity or even a politician will be in a scandal, they’ll say they were sorry and disappeared for a while only to make comeback. One of those people whom many believe had become a victim of cancel culture is Carson King. Carson King made a racists tweets back when he was 16. Those tweets included him comparing black mothers to gorillas and made jokes about black people getting killed in the holocaust. People came to Carson’s defense by saying how those tweets were mistakes and he just 16 when he made those tweets. They also mentioned how we should forgive him because he sincerely apologise. Even though he apologised and has been doing good things, doesn’t mean every single person should forgive especially from the black community. The people who say that we should forgive him are mainly white people. Of course you would forgive him because those tweets weren’t targeted by you. Even if he disappeared for a while, an article might get published of him making a comeback by doing a good-deed.

-on mobile, bad formatting, srry lovs-
There are some self-professed Lightworkers that are truly next-level in that they go all in- channeling, meditation, sungazing, crystals, etc. My absolute favorite niche in this subset are the ones who, like Benjamin Fulford and his White Dragon Society, talk about the Khazerian Mafia that secretly run the world, a.k.a. the Cabal.
The Cabal includes lots of government higher-ups, but also just about every celebrity you like because you have to literally sell your soul for fame, and celebs use subliminal messaging and frequencies that influence and weigh down your chakras- everything is frequency, even how your chakras communicate, down to your physical cellular structure. That part's not totally batty, because there's been interesting experiments with how sound effects the body- weird rabbit hole- anyway, back on topic!
The most interesting/surprising part, the pattern I keep seeing with these types, is their steadfast belief that Donald Trump is actually an intelligent, compassionate man, working in secret with the Galactic Federation (comprised of various species of aliens watching over our planet) to remove the Cabal, eliminate the need for money, and usher in an era of peace uwu. EVERY take of The Don on tv is Fake News, and he is such a saint that he takes the lumps and keeps doing his benevolent work for the benefit of a country- nay, a world!- that he loves so much.
<almost gagged typing that, you're welcome>
Which is so extra wild considering literally the man's whole life his actions have stated everything to the contrary. He LOVES money, he revels in materialism, adores attention and flattery, has *allegedlyyyy* molested people and bragged about being a groper, is openly racist, sexist, and misogynistic, HAS LOCKED CHILDREN IN CAGES, continues to remove EPA protections, etc etc. He doesn't give a rat's ass about Gaia/Mother Earth, he wants to drill, he wants to frack, he wants to mine and cut down trees. He thrivvvves on money, he protects his billionaire friends, why the fuck would he eliminate currency? This isn't even news channels, just look at this man's whole life and career; he's warned us about exactly who he is since day 1.
It's like my Greta Climate/ Q Anon rant, it's almost as if nobody wants to believe that the reality is as bad as it is, so it MUST actually be good, no- better! Trump isn't our destroyer, he's our savior! Not just our saviour, but our Savior! It all goes back to human insecurity and the need to have something or someone to worship, someone to intercede on our behalf to the god/s. In this case, aliens.
That Magic Conch Thinking: we don't have to do anything! We're not accountable for anything! It's all part of a divine plan! The good guys are really the bad guys and the bad guys are really the heroes! 🙄

As a former member of an American cult, I know why so many white Christian women fervently support Trump
To help a novice develop Buddha nature, a monk will pose a paradoxical question – “when one can do nothing, what can one do?” – that the rational mind can’t answer. These questions are called Zen koans.
We, as a country, are living a Zen koan. While our president, the molester-in-chief, continuously appoints men accused of sexual assault to government positions, a huge swath of American women – more than 80 per cent of whom have been sexually assaulted or harassed – continue to support him and his cronies.
Like, with a fervour.
The rational mind assumes that any woman, assaulted or not, would reject a man who says he would date his own daughter; would be repulsed by men who are repeatedly accused of violating women. But then, who’s to say Donald Trump’s supporters are rational?
As a sexual violence survivor, I deeply understand the male/female power dynamic. I understand it like a prey animal. I sense when a man is creepy. I get it when a woman is too afraid, ashamed or confused to report. I know how the most traumatic moments are seared into memory, while the irrelevant details fade away.
Every liberal woman I know intrinsically understands this. Every conservative woman I know pooh-poohs it. We all live in the same country, with the same men and the same high school parties. The majority of us have been sexually violated. Yet 34 per cent of women support Trump, and 37 per cent of women support Kavanaugh’s appointment to the Supreme Court. So the ultimate question is, why does this rapey stuff pass muster with conservative women, while infuriating liberal ones?
As a former cult member, I believe I have the answer.
I spent 16 months of childhood locked up in a notoriously abusive programme for teenagers. It was studied as a cult by multiple cultic institutes.
The cult’s method was this: take a mildly rebellious teen and convince their parents that they are addicted to drugs and on the verge of destruction. Take the parents’ money, lock the kid up and physically, psychologically and sexually abuse them until they not only recite the programme’s self-flagellating party line, but they actually believe it. We weren’t allowed to speak to our parents until we reached that point.
Kids who thought or behaved outside of the cult’s norms were punished with violent, personalised group confrontation, where group members screamed at and spat on kids who were suspected of having broken the rules. Attack therapy had two unspoken purposes. It demonstrated the terror that lay in store for the sinner and it let attackers reinforce their rabid loyalty. Every kid’s survival depended not only on our allegiance, but also on our violence towards those who appeared to have crossed it.
Trump’s frenetic female supporters use the same technique for the same reason. In praising predatory men and attacking outspoken liberal women, they reinforce their devotion to the dominant group, the group they subconsciously fear because it controls their fate: Republican men. It’s like a koan within a koan: how can countering one’s own best interests keep one safe?
Before we untie that knot, let’s look at who Trump’s supporters are. Two words: Christian right. According to the Pew Research Center, 81 per cent of “white, born again/evangelical Christians” and 60 per cent of “white Catholic” voters selected Trump. Why? Two more words: economic anxiety. Their party line: “Immigrants are stealing our jobs. African Americans are stealing our welfare.
In this era of #MeToo, mixed-race marriage, Black Lives Matter and LGBT+ rights, America’s cultural fabric is shifting. The white, male Christian, financial and cultural top dog since 1776, can feel his crown slipping. And here comes Trump, in all his racist, misogynistic, egotistical glory, repping an America where the Christian white man remains king.
There’s a lot in Trumplandia for white Christian male voters. But where do the women come in? They come in through the barn door, because according to the Bible, women are work horses and breeders, created for two purposes: serving men and praising God. A woman should “be busy at home … and … be subject to their husband, so that no one will malign the word of God” (Titus 2:4-5). This makes sense, because “the husband is the head of the wife” (Ephesians 5:23). While the woman “rises while it is yet night, and provides food for her household … her husband is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land” (Proverbs 31:15-23).
And of course Trump can “grab them by the pussy”, because that’s what God created women for: to submit to men. In the words of the Baptist “19 kids and counting” Duggar family’s matriarch, women should be “joyfully available” for sex at all times. Eighty-plus per cent of women have been assaulted? They shouldn’t have resisted! They violated God’s plan.
Trump’s administration and his base, the Christian right, offer a s**t deal for women. So why do so many go for it? Same reason us “cult” kids “went for” being brutalised by each other: fear, lack of information and a steady diet of self-hating, figurehead-worshipping language.
For traditional Christian housewives, the fear might be basic: contradict your husband’s opinion and you’ll be out of food and shelter. But for much of Trump’s base, the fear is all gross ego. In the shifting social dynamics, former “minority” groups are rapidly becoming socially parallel with white people. In the past, a conservative Christian woman might have been officially inferior to her husband, but she felt superior to black, brown, immigrant and LGBT+ people. If Trump hadn’t come along to make America great again, soon she’d be better than… well, nobody!
Limiting information is a tactic used by mind-control regimes everywhere. As cult members, we couldn’t read a shampoo bottle, but we could read the Bible. North Koreans and the Duggar household have strictly limited access to the internet. My pro-Trump neighbours have Fox News on 24/7. This stunting of input is a primary tool for brainwashing. Outside ideas cannot be allowed to creep in, lest a true believer realise they’ve been manipulated and start a revolution.
Finally, you know how, when a song gets stuck in your head, you can’t think of anything else? Cult leaders know that, too. In the cult I was in, they often sang praise songs to the programme for saving our lives, reinforcing our weakness and dependence. Just like the mindless repetition of simple words, like the “Thank You Jesus” signs appearing throughout my Bible belt town since 2016, the “Trump! Trump!” chants heard at certain rallies, and the short, repetitive phrases bellowed from the podium at those rallies.
I speak from experience when I say that when you are brainwashed, there’s a wall in your mind. Logic lies on the far side; you can’t touch it. Instead, you see everything through the lens of indoctrination. So those Trump-loving women on Facebook, they really do believe professor Ford is “making this stuff up”, that they’re superior to non-white non-Christians, that Trump is helping them. They’re incapable of thinking anything else. Their answer to that koan, “how can countering one’s own best interests keep one safe?” would be this: “For safety, my own best interest is not having my own interests.”

Dickheads of the Month: May 2022
As it seems that there are people who say or do things that are remarkably dickheaded yet somehow people try to make excuses for them or pretend it never happened, here is a collection of some of the dickheaded actions we saw in the month of May 2022 to make sure that they are never forgotten.
Thanks to Samuel Alito it can now definitively be said that every last think piece saying that nobody should be concerned with Trump stuffing the US Supreme Court with the likes of Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett as there’s no way that they’d do something as crass as overturn Woe vs Wade - until Politico published a draft from Alito taking aim at Roe vs Wade because abortion isn’t in the Constitution, which is a normal thing to say
...which, of course, led to Mitch McConnell getting his child molesting tortoise face front and centre to express his anger not at Alito actively being that transparent, but because somebody dared leak that Alito was doing exactly what those think pieces told us would never happen and anyone who thought it would was clearly overreacting is happening
...and luckily for us Isabel Oakeshott decided she really had to share her tuppence worth, by using the protests against Alito’s scumbaggery as an excuse to have a moan about people protesting against lockdown during a global fucking pandemic weren't given the same courtesy
The superhuman failure that is the Uvalde Police Department before and during the Robb Elementary School shooting really beggars belief, beginning with them wasting a ten minute window where the shooter was discharging their AR15 outside the school to do something but really coming to a head where they spent over forty minutes sitting on their backsides outside where they seemed more focused on arresting parents telling them to do something than deigning to try and stop an active shooter
...which also means bad faith arguments from Republicans were forthcoming, with particularly bad arguments from Dan Patrick arguing that schools should have a single entry and exit point that can be guarded which begs the question if he’s heard of this thing called “fire”, while Lauren Boebert came flying out the traps shrieking that planes weren't banned after 9/11 as if she forgot that shoes, cigarette lighters, bottled water and Muslims all got one hell of a lot more scrutiny at airport security post-9/11, or the minor detail about how planes were grounded for a week
...and then along came Greg Abbott to give his personal take on the situation while trying not to hurt the NRA’s fee-fees, where he actually said “Things could have been worse”
So apparently it can’t be said that proven liar Boris Johnson broke the Ministerial Code after proven liar Alexander Boris De Pfeffel Johnson blocked the ethics committee investigation into him breaking the Ministerial Code, before then rewriting the Ministerial Code so that people guilty of “minor” offences such as being fined by the police for breaking the law no longer have to automatically hand in their resignation
As if the Mail on Sunday didn't make themselves look scummy enough with the front page claiming that Angela Rayner went Basic Instinct to try and distract proven liar Alexander Boris De Pfeffel Johnson from misleading Parliament yet again while screaming that Glen Owen has been harassed on Twitter all week by “leftists” in spite his not having a Twitter account, they followed that up with some utterly bizarre claim that, as Rayner asked them to not publish the story, that makes Rayner the source of the story and therefore LABOUR BAD and not, say, the Mail on Sunday for publishing the story while which they're conveniently forgetting who the source was
...soon followed by Lance Forman coming up with an utterly absurd defence of Neil Parrish getting sacked for watching porn in Commons, where he claimed that Angela Rayner should be sacked for participating in porn in Commons, which not only makes him sound like a misogynistic cunt who is ignorant of what porn is, but likely saw his legal advisor suddenly become very busy
...meanwhile The Daily Mail was having a meltdown of their own by continuing the non-story of Keir Starmer having a beer after lockdown which “proves” he broke lockdown rules, a non-story they ran on their front page for four straight days - and on the fourth day “proved” it by cropping a photo of Starmer having curry with Frank Dobson as their evidence, which merely provides evidence of the paranormal as Dobson died in 2019 and their “evidence” was a photo taken in 2015
...which Secretary of State for Culture Wars Nadine Dorries retweeted with a volley of invective, even after Dan Hodges was forced to admit the piece was bullshit, which not only undermined all her posturing about tackling fake news given she was broadcasting it, but also made her look like a bunny boiler since most of her invective was aimed at Angela Rayner
First the Israeli Defence Forces once again demonstrated their peacekeeping credentials by shooting Al Jazeera’s Palestinian reporter Shireen Abu Akleh and immediately tried pinning it on Palestinian militants who not a single eyewitness says were there, followed by Israeli police bullrushing her funeral procession where they clubbed those carrying her coffin
Apparently the Metropolitan Police weren't that rigorous with their investigation into the Downing Street pissups during lockdown, as ITV News annihilating their findings by publishing a single photo which they either missed or ignored which showed proven liar Boris Johnson in a room full of people drinking during lockdown at a party he claimed didn't happen and/or wasn’t a party
...which led to Grant Schapps issuing the most pathetic defence yet, namely that proven liar Alexander Boris De Pfeffel Johnson wasn’t getting boozed up at a party but was actually mourning the death of his mother - who not only died ten months prior to the photo in question, but died pre-lockdown
It sums up the Tory government that not only did they continue the “Local Conservatives” scam on all literature for the local elections, but that literature stresses how these are apparently different Conservatives to those in Westminster - which is outright election fraud
Things must not be going well for Sergey Lavrov and his boss judging by how he’s now having to spout Far Right gibberish about...okay, hang on...about how Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a Nazi because he’s Jewish, basing his logic on the long-debunked theory of Hitler being part-Jewish which is why Jews are the worst antisemites and definitely not somebody spouting such utter gibberish to try and cover for the fact Ukraine didn't roll over the second Russia invaded
At long last proven liar Boris Johnson dared to appear on Good Morning Britain, where his not hiding managed to not be the main story - his response to the story of a 77 year old using her Freedom Pass to ride buses all day to keep warm by saying she could do that as he introduced Freedom Passes (which is a lie in itself) as if she should feel grateful managed to get far more attention
Definitely not a right winger Tim Pool responded to the Robb Elementary School shooting in the only way that the definitely not right wing Tim Pool would: by posting a bunch of tweets that were neither cool nor edgy, which was a problem as definitely not a right winger Tim Pool clearly posted them under the belief that they were cool and so fucking edgy
In the mind of Lee Anderson the reason people use food banks isn’t due to a grossly increased cost of living coupled to gross wage stagnation, merely that poor people have forgotten how to cook or even budget properly, which begs the question if he believes the lower orders open bags of pasta and pour it down their gullets because somehow in the last twelve years of Tory rule they forgot how to cook food
...which predictably saw Tom Harwood and Isabel Oakeshott crawl out of the woodwork to defend Anderson with some particularly disingenuous takes - at which point Jack Monroe decided it was time to take the shotgun out of the cupboard and give the lot of them both barrels
...and then Lee Anderson thought that, with Martin Daubney egging him on during a livestream promoting the Nigel Farage Ego Project instead of the Tory party, that the smartest thing to do would be the libel Jack Monroe by accusing her of taking money from the most vulnerable people in society, apparently forgetting what happened when Katie Hopkins talked libellous shit about her...
The ultra-relatable Rishi Sunak had a brilliant idea of trying to repair his public image after signing off on literally everything which has caused the cost of living crisis: spending £500,000 of taxpayer’s money on a campaign to improve his public image just as he and his wife both appeared on the Times Rich List
Freudian slip encourager Michael Fabricant responded to the news of a Tory MP being told to stay away from parliament while they are being investigated for rape by tweeting a joke about how he’ll definitely be in Commons to prove it wasn't him, a tweet he since deleted - and then posted the exact same tweet again, this time with the 😜 emoji attached at the end of it
Billionaire manchild Elon Musk proved to be such a fan of free speech that he had a former SpaceX employee he sexually harassed in 2018 sign an NDA after paying her $250,000 to shut up, which somehow isn’t the scummiest part of the story given he was informed the story would break so immediately started spouting conspiracy theories about him being “smeared” by his political enemies
Unifying force Keir Starmer once again demonstrated his hands-off approach to leading the Labour party, by telling the local party in Wakefield they had a choice of one of the two candidates he had selected to run in the upcoming byelection - which caused the local party to resign en masse
The nerve of Secretary of State for Culture Wars Nadine Dorries tweeting in recognition of Press Freedom Day when she is single-handedly trying to privatise Channel 4 for not falling in lockstep with the Tory propaganda machine, and previously called for LBC to sack James O’Brien for similar reasons, is gobsmacking even for Dorries’ usual low standards
To say that I was shocked to learn that Paul Joseph Watson is a massive racist and antisemite would be...actually it would be a lie, because considering the company he keeps of course he’s a massive racist and antisemite
Walking radioactive dumpster fire Tammy Lynn Sytch still has not figured out that getting arrested for killing somebody when driving under the influence without a license, you don’t go on Twitter and start screaming at everyone else in the world, for the simple reason there’s a very good reason you’re being criticised: for driving under influence without a license and killing somebody with your reckless, selfish dickheadedness
It’s telling that Dave Chappelle attempted to twist getting attacked by some Trumpist onstage into being attacked by a member of the trans community for his anti-trans material before going through the usual game of buzzword bingo, while surely giving JK Rowling ideas
There’s ways to raise staff morale, but the policy of Wagamama to demand staff come in to work in their restaurants after testing positive for Covid - and, as most of their staff are on probation, they sack them if they don’t - is not one of them
Convicted criminal Darren Grimes didn’t look like a crafty wanker when jumping on Ncuti Gatwa being cast as the new Doctor Who by saying that all he needed to be was trans and the BBC would have ticked all the “woke” boxes, which is why he deleted the tweet within 45 seconds when he was quickly informed there was no way he could pretend to be a credible journalist when appearing on the BBC if he merely looked like a wanker
Government efficiency milk monitor Jacob Rees Mogg is proud to state that he does not have a computer on his desk and prefers an In and Out tray - because nothing says “efficiency” quite like having a junior minister print off every single email he receives, walk into his office to read the printed off email to him, then call for his secretary to come inside to write down the email to return before typing the sodding thing up
The best idea that Activision could think of to try and divert the conversation away from the culture of abuse and harassment at the company was to try and make themselves look inclusive by unveiling the diversity tool - tool which mainly served to have people notice not that Lucio from Overwatch is counted as 50% “ethnicity”, but there’s an obvious block in the middle which is presumably where 90% of all Activision characters live that happens to look white, male, heterosexual and aged approximately 25-28
An utterly baffling move from Square Enix where they sold off Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal plus the IPs those studios hold, which include Tomb Raider and Deus Ex, for a comparative pittance so they could put all their eggs in the blockchain basket - and did this just after it was announced the bottom had fallen out of the NFT ziggurat scheme
An idiot’s idea of what an intellectual looks like Jordan Peterson seems to be getting desperate for attention, judging by doing his usual schtick to say the cover girl of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue isn't attractive judging by the usual pseudointellectual flavour text that means nothing, and then started literally crying about being cyberbullied when the piss got ripped out of him
Chicken nugget mentalist Jamie Oliver once again demonstrated his working class roots when his response to the cost of living crisis affecting millions of working class people in the UK was to forth at the mouth at supermarkets not removing BOGOF offers on burgers, because what better way to show solidarity with people who have to choose between eating food or switching on the heating than demand that their food budgets be squeezed even further?
Employer of the year WWE once again reminded the wider entertainment world what a bunch of carnies they are by responding to Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out of an episode of Raw due to a dispute about their booking by repeatedly sounding uncannily like a jilted ex the way they bitched and moaned about them both in a press release issued before that episode of Raw had finished airing and by having their commentators shit on them on air, which is definitely the sort of thing that’s going to encourage their employees independent contractors to extend their existing deals...
In the space of a week Brendan Clarke-Smith went from an obscure Tory backbench slug to somebody who first said he most certainly is content to back a lawbreaker to be Prime Minister and then attempted to deny it which only led to the video clip of him saying exactly that to be shown in response, and a few days later he posted a photo of himself doing his shopping with a caption saying he wouldn't be buying beer or sandwiches in case somebody thought he was a lawbreaker because of course it's hilarious to mock people’s very real anger at the Tories getting shitfaced in Downing Street while the rest of the country weren't allowed to meet friends or relatives
So not only did the jumped-up bore Katharine Birbalsingh demonstrate just how bad the standards at her jumped-up academy are that a quote attributed to Winston Churchill adorning one of the walls was, in fact, a Budweiser slogan from the 1930s, but she decided that the best response was to show what a patriot who is a very, very good headmistress actually by howling about how schools will stop teaching Shakespeare because of...nope, just her screaming incoherently for attention, which the Guardian was dumb enough to give her
Tens of people were ecstatic to hear that Ricky Gervais decided to be an egdelord yet again in his latest Netflix special, going over the exact same transphobic material that those tens of people (and hundreds of Twitter accounts, strangely) were quick to defend with the usual array of bad faith arguments Gervais’ fanboys trot out
Human personification of ridiculousness Steven Crowder had a genius idea when it came to sharing his pig ignorant opinions on Taiwan with an internet which didn’t actually ask for them, and that idea was wearing a stereotypical Asian conical hat while spouting his usual ill-informed drivel
Professional idiot Candace Owens states that anybody getting vaccinated for monkeypox was an idiot and she would laugh at anybody who got jabbed, having apparently not received the memo that the monkeypox vaccine is the smallpox vaccine, meaning that she’s likely to die of oxygen deprivation due to laughing at everybody over the age of 50
It didn't take long for Piers Moron Morgan to flounce out of his TalkTV gig, did it? I can't think why he wouldn't want to stick around once the ratings he was pulling in dropped to lower than the attendance of an FA Cup replay on a cold Tuesday night in mid January...
Billionaire manchild Elon Musk thought it would be a bright idea to get into a Twitter Spat with Hard Drive when they called him out for stealing their articles and cropping out their watermarks. It went as well as could have been expected
Footballer’s wives are cursing the name of Rebekah Vardy after she proved to be so monumentally thick that she took Coleen Rooney to court for libel only for it to rapidly become apparent that she and her agent had been colluding to leak information The Sun via WhatsApp, and the best defence she could concoct is she did not read the messages - which she wrote
It almost feels mean to mention Seth Green had to cancel an NFT animated project based on his Bored Ape because somebody right clicked on his Bored Ape and now he can't make an animated TV show about it, but on the other hand the staff hired to work on the show all lost their jobs due to Green basing an animated project on a jpeg, so fuck NFTs
Nice of The Sun to focus on what’s really important in 2022 Britain...inventing a story claiming that The FA are going to ban Three Lions from the England songbook and then claim themselves the heroes for saving Three Lions from The FA axe
Bloody hell, can Arsenal fans give it a rest with their increasingly insane conspiracy theories about the Premier League dicking them out of the Champions League? They had as cushy a season as possible due to a lack of European football and getting knocked out of the FA Cup as early as possible, and still bottled a Top 4 finish in spite having a significant advantage over Tottenham a mere five games before the end of the season

This sudden influx in sexual assault allegations boggles the mind. Far be from me to complain about the Emperor's lack of clothes being called out but these floodgates are overwhelming. Hell, who's there to trust? Have those who've apologized really changed? Is there ever any going back?
*ahem*
Lots of people, probably, and that depends on what you mean by “going back”.
Can you still watch things with these people in them? Yes, you can. It’s fine. Watching A Bug’s Life will just be a little weird now that you know that Hopper is an even bigger jerk. There are plenty of other people in it.
Can you still watch Louie? Wellllll, that depends. I don’t watch the show, but if he makes misogynistic jokes or behaves creepily, it may make the viewing not worth the experience. Also, it may require him actually offering up a proper apology, and maybe some time to reform himself.
A lot of this depends on what the actors and figures do now. Richard Dreyfuss, for example, has already said that he behaved poorly in the past and has acknowledged that a lot of the blame falls on older definitions in society but also doesn’t use this as an excuse, and has condemned the behavior now and is willing to work toward a better future. If that’s his attitude, I don’t see any reason why we can’t still watch Jaws or Close Encounters happily (it should be noted that his character in the Jaws film was an actual creep in the book, so it’s a bit of a prop to him that his character wasn’t a creep there, but that’s neither here nor there). If the offenders double down, though, and expect everyone to just come back to them (see: Johnny Depp, Roy Moore, Donald Trump), then keep shunning them and condemning them.
I’m going to trust George Takei’s defense for now, but this also means that he’s stacked more cards--if it turns out that he’s guilty of both sexual molestation and lying about it, then that’s going to make things worse. For now, though, I trust George Takei, because he’s given me no reason to distrust him. He’s made no promises, he’s shown a lot of self-awareness, he’s been forthright and outspoken about many things.
I don’t have the answers to a lot of this, though. All we know is that we’re going to have to deal with this, and it’s going to be rough.

ok so
my now ex stepdad is a little bitch. he bruised my mom, cheated on her incessantly, verbally & psychologically abused her, stole MY PS3 in the divorce, got us kicked out onto the street, then went to prison for not paying child support for my sisters, and lied to the courts and said that I molested my sisters to get custody. but that's all in the past. nowadays he's just a sad racist asshole.
so my sister- his daughter- posts that meme. they cry. she supports them. then, stepdad's biological dad (ok so stepdad has a fraternal twin whose father is different because their mom was a "truckstop lot lizard", so his dad is mexican but his twin's dad is white; confusing but hey roll with it) drops a 1984 reference that i'm sure he only parrots what with the rest of the trump/guns/jesus/beer about his everything (tell me why a mexican man is a trumpist lmao). my sister's boyfriend basically called them idiots. stepdad was a little bitch, no surprise. my clapback is presented.
then the stepdad a) was transphobic b) said my mom cheated on him more times than he can count c) said my mom cheated on MY dad so much that my sister has a different father since we "look different" (we look basically identical just with different endocrinological balances) and d) made some misogynistic remarks that I didn't get a screenshot of because when I posted my response to that I blocked him because I've been meaning to get around to it.
so here's what I said.

disrespect my sister, I'll disrespect you.
but if you disrespect my mother,
I'll fucking destroy you.
to anyone who has shit they wanna say to their bigoted/abusive parents but can't, I really hope this is cathartic.

The "grab 'em by the pussy" thing was taken out of context. He said that when you're a star, women let you do whatever you want to them, including but not limited to, grabbing them by the pussy. The key word there is LET, meaning it's perfectly consensual, and if you say otherwise, you're not only demonising Trump, you are infantilising women in the same breath by suggesting they have no agency or ability to say no, which is sexist as fuck. Not to mention wrong. And people call Trump a misogynist...
Inappropriate comments are not rape. Rape is an ACTION, and Trump's comments are just words. And he apologised for them. He also pointed out that Bill Clinton, who's been a member of the Democratic Party for about 30+ years, spent several decades literally molesting young women and girls. Some of his victims were actually there during the 2016 debate between Trump and Hillary, and Donald pointed them out. Bill was there, too, and he looked very uncomfortable at that point.
Just because Pence supports conversion therapy doesn't mean Trump does. Trump isn't Pence, and there is no evidence that he supports conversion therapy for ANYONE. And as far as gays are concerned, Trump is actually very supportive of the LGBT community. There's a photo of him holding an LGBT for Trump flag at one of his rallies. Quite a few members of our community support him, otherwise that flag wouldn't exist and he wouldn't have received a standing ovation when he promised to protect the American LGBTQ community from the hateful, foreign ideology that is Islam. You know, the same hateful foreign ideology that throws gays off of rooftops, stones them to death, imprisons, executes and persecutes them just for being gay. He also doesn't wanna ban gay marriage. At all. It's been 3 or 4 years since he was elected and he's had plenty of time to ban it, but he didn't because he doesn't want to.
Also, I'm not sure what conversion therapy, or any of that LGBT stuff has to do with the rape/sexual assault accusations against Trump. If we were talking about PENCE specifically, you might have a point, but we're talking about the President here, NOT the Vice President.
But like, Oh My God, conservatives have been saying for literal years that Democrats would stop caring about sexual assault allegations the second that somebody they liked got accused, which like anybody who had done any degree of like opposition research would know, and so like the fact that the DNC/media just plowed right ahead with Biden and refused to even acknowledge the accusation has been yet another proof (as if we needed any more) that the Democratic Party is not just an evil organization, it has literally the worst political instincts of any imaginable major political organization

An open letter to the old white guy who frequents my favorite bagel shop:
I would like to apologize for calling you “foul and reprehensible” when I overheard you saying lots of things that made me mad. I’m not really sorry, except that now I’m afraid you’re going to try to talk to me and I really don’t want to talk to you because it will make me cry. Frankly, I’m surprised I said anything to you at all, I must have been very stressed out at the things you were saying. However, as I was angrily storming out I overheard you ask why I was offended, so this is my response, that you will probably never see.
Firstly, you said, in reference to hispanic immigrants, “you get some rapists, some child molesters, some murderers” and to the question “How many of them are breaking the law?” “100% of them, because they’re crossing the border illegally.” I would like to know why you think that hispanic immigrants are more likely to be criminals than white people, also for you to cite some statistics about whether this really is the case. I think you will find, in fact, that hispanic people are no more likely to be criminals than anyone else, except that they are more likely to be convicted of crimes and face harsher sentences than white people due to the racism inherent in the “justice” system.
Furthermore, you said “it’s not a race issue, it’s a culture issue” and “I’m not racist.” First, I would like you to consider that you, in fact, are racist because racism is a system of societal privilege and oppression and is socially prevalent no matter your intentions. Secondly, that you are racist and xenophobic because you are implying negative stereotypes about different races and ethnicities of people.
Now, I would like you to take a look around this bagel shop; you may notice that all of the employees here are hispanic and that the majority of the patrons here are hispanic. Even myself, who is white, is also hispanic, and yes, my family are immigrants. I don’t know if you’ve ever looked at the census results for this city we live in but 75% of the population is hispanic. You may legally be allowed to say whatever the fuck you want, but consider that you are being very offensive to the people who are your neighbors, who serve you food, who sit in the table next to yours and don’t want to hear all this. Consider also, that your words are actively dangerous, that it’s opinions like this that contribute to the continued oppression of marginalized persons.
I was angry enough hearing all of this, but wait, there’s more. Your conversation turned to politics and you so kindly called Hillary Clinton a “bitch”. Now I’m not saying that you have to like Hillary Clinton, but choosing to call her a “bitch” showed me exactly how much respect you have for women, which is none; in short, that you are misogynistic in addition to racist and xenophobic.
You also said that “this whole left wing movement is insanity” and “I like [Trump’s] politics. I really do like his politics.” I don’t really want to get into why this is offensive and terrible, but let’s just say that “his politics” are leaving many people, including your fellow citizens, in constant fear for their lives.
You said a number of other offensive things I don’t want to get into, and I really just wanted you to stop talking. I really want you to realize why this offensive and never say this kind of stuff ever again. Unfortunately, from personal experience I know that it is incredibly difficult, almost impossible, to change opinions like these. I want to believe and hope you can change. Instead, I overhear your conversations every now and again and find myself wracked with anxiety and rage, until I call you “foul and reprehensible”, and beyond.
#my writing#non fiction#racism#xenophobia#misogyny#anxiety#ask to tag#rape mention //#I had to get this out i'm full of anxiety
