This is what they used to say (mistakes and all):

Khushi | An 18 year old small town girl from UP. Simple rooted in family and is driven by a clear moral compass. She stands for what she believes in, and never lets go of her inculcated values. She will not change herself to conform to people’s shallow expectations. She is righteous, intelligent but slightly naïve at the same time.

Arnav | A 28 year old self made, ruthless, ‘win at all costs’ man. He believes everything can be bought in the world, including love. He has no consideration for relationships and can even manipulate people to achieve his ambitions.

Payal | Payal is Khushi’s elder sister. She is thoughtful and mature, as opposed to the impulsive Khushi. Payal understands and supports Khushi in all matters. Her marriage breaks when Khushi takes a stand against the dowry demand. Yet she is rationalises the whole issue and stands by Khushi when the entire family denounces her.

Garima | Garima is Khushi and Payal’s mother. She is somebody who considers self respect and family honour topmost. Fear of infamy haunts her, as she has gone through that ordeal when she was a young woman.

Shashi | Shashi Gupta runs a sweet shop, Saatvik Mishtaan Bhandaar, in a interior lower middle class area of Lucknow. A man of modest and honest means, he has belived that “ties of the heart are stronger than ties of blood”. He is married to Garima, who is his second wife. Payal is his real daughter from his first marriage, and Khushi was brought in as an orphan by Garima. Nevertheless, he has never treated Khushi any different from Paytal. Both his daughters are the apples of his eye.

Buaji | Though everyone calls her Buaji, her real name is Indira Gupta. She is Shashi Gupta’s elder sister. Bua is a widow, very conservative and traditional in her approach. She is strict and appears rude, though somewhere deep down, she means well. She had migrated Lucknow to Delhi with her husband. Their marriage was issueless. She runs a small-time business from her house.

Khayal/Thought #4 - Tracks IPK Could’ve Had Post Shyam

Kabhi kabhi mere dil main, khayal aata hai

That I NEED to have a brain dump instead of thinking these aimlessly while cleaning my room. 

First thing first, Shyam’s permanent exit brought the natural end of the show so things WOULD wrap up in a few months after that big showdown. These are more like scenes instead of ‘tracks’

- Discuss the after events of Shyam’s permanent exit from the house. An apology from Arnav for not realizing the danger he'd put Khushi in by never attempting to find the truth, and from Khushi for not realizing how much hiding the truth would cost them. 

- Closing the loops from the first marriage. Healing as certain mistakes as corrected. Khushi, unable to sleep sits by the pool - Arnav sits with her (they could talk about how Anjali would be - just small conversations that mean a lot). Arnav making space in his cabinet, making changes in his room for her, putting stars on the ceiling - things like that.

- Work on Mami and Payal’s relationship. They were hilarious when Mami actually liked Payal but couldn't tell her *lol*

- NK AND LAVANYA.

- AMAN AND ANJALI. This is a track. It would be hilarious, Arnav would be torn between his favorite employee and his favorite person in the whole world. It would also be sentimental because it means Anjali would work through her things and probably also go back to treating Arnav as her younger brother, reassuring him and telling him its ok - he doesn't need to handle every waking moment of her life. Maybe we’d get the older sister, younger brother fun back! 

- The Sheetal track could be there. Sans the cringe humor and tone deaf family members, it would be refreshing to see how things would be if situation was flipped - how would Khushi truly react to such a possibility, and perhaps that could close the loop that they adopt an orphan into the family :) 

- Arnav and Khushi navigating a married life. Learning how to spend time with each other cause they really didn't get much of a chance to do that. They are a young couple who’ve barely begun to live life together!

- IMAGINE THEM GOING BACK TO LUCKNOW. KHUSHI RECLAIMS THE SWASTIK MISHTAAN BHANDAAR WITH THE HELP OF ARNAV. ARNAV CAN GO BACK TO HIS HOME CITY WITHOUT BEING TORMENTED. SHASHI HEALING AND HAPPY TO SEE EVERYTHING ON TRACK. THE RAIZADAS AND GUPTAS JUST CHILLING IN LUCKNOW - SEEING SIGHTS AND SHIT. AND ARNAV KHUSHI BACK IN SHEESH MAHAL CAUSE ARNAV DIDN’T HAVE THE HEART TO BREAK IT. UGH, I WOULD HAVE CRIED IF THAT HAPPENED. 

- GET A QUICK HAPPY SCENE FOR ALL THE OTHER CHARACTERS.

- END IT ON A SWEET CONVERSATION OF ARNAV AND KHUSHI, AWAY FROM FAMILY, OVERLOOKING SHEESH MAHAL, AND MAYBE BECAUSE IT’S THE FIRST TIME KHUSHI STEPS - AS HIS WIFE - IN HIS HOME, HE CARRIES HER IN CAUSE ITS RAIZADA TRADITION SO IT ENDS ON THE SAME FRAME AS THE SHOW STARTED.
