district 1- lightning and dakota (altho dakota is more trained for the cameras than actual combat)

district 3 - B and female tribute

district 5 - sam and staci (i have no clue where to put him since realistically theyd die first thing in the bloodbath. "yeah, did you know my great great great great great great half aunt susan invented the hunger games? ya, before them people just watched TLC")

district 7 - mike and zoey

district 8 - anne maria and male tribute (once again didnt know where to put her. maybe id switched mike and zoey to be district 8 since zoey can make clothes)

district 10 - dawn and male tribute

district 11 - scott and female tribute

district 12 - cameron and female tribute (maybe ill put him and staci together)

any unnamed districts or characters, just assume theyre filler characters . mikes alters are still here, except mal because i dont like mal and hes too OP. and for the winner??? im sticking to the elimination order in the show for this one to avoid any problems (also itd be fun to see how cameron could kill jo) so the finale comes down to brain vs brawn once again

cameron, zoey and mike all have their little alliance for a while (until scott kills of mike at the feast) and for a while it comes down to cameron feeling guilty and upset because he knows that if the three of them made it to the final 3 together, cam would be killed off immediately. brick jo and lightning and the other careers (minus dakota) all have a little alliance and until it comes down to just brick jo and lightning, jo and lightning are planning to kill off brick together. that is until brick sacrifices his life for jo (im thinking a collapsing cave?) and dies and jo feels guilty forever

dawn and scott have an alliance as well until dawn tries to poison his drink, but since scott is a farmer boy and would know a lot about how to recognize tainted water, he swaps his drink for hers, killing dawn with her own drink.

manitoba, svetlana, and vito are all mikes alters and theyre careers. chester is just chester he doesnt do much.

btw there wont be that much romance, only between mike and zoey (though a svetlana and anne maria mutual attraction isnt that bad..). ofc i also have my bias as a jock shipper too but thats all for now. ill probably make more with this au lets see

Rhyan POV

Today was finally the day I would be returning. I kept this a secret from every body. I was so excited to be back, even though it has been a few weeks, it felt way longer than that. 

I finally arrived to the arena Monday Night Raw was being held in tonight. As I walked into the women's locker room I saw my girls talking with one another. 

"I guess y'all don't need me anymore huh?" I smiled as they screamed and grabbed me into a group hug. 

"Why didn't you tell us you would be back" Jade said as she pulled away from the group hug. 

"Just wanted to surprise you guys" 

"It's definitely a surprise, we missed our champ being around" Bianca smiled as she continued getting ready. 

"I missed y'all too" I opened up my gear bag to start getting my outfit out. 

"Have you seen Mr. Main Event yet?" Jade looked up at me as she finished lacing up her boots.

"Not yet, he probably will be a little upset with me"

"Why?"

"Well to keep this a surprise, I've been sort of ignoring him," the girls gave me a are you crazy look. "don't give me that look, I am planning on going to surprise him right before the show"

Bianca pointed at me, "Ok girl, because don't play with that man"

I laughed as I went into the bathrooms to quickly change into my outfit for the night. Once I was done changing, I quickly made my way to hair and makeup.

When I was finished there I made my way to go find Jey when I was stopped by Pearce. 

"Hey champ how's it going? You feeling better?"

"Hey, yes I am doing much better thank you"

"No problem, I am glad I found you, I wanted to tell you the plans for tonight"

We went over the planned segments I would be in tonight. One segment tonight would involve me confronting Nia, and the other I would be confronting Rhea over her comments she has been making about me over the last few weeks. 

Once we were done I went back to trying to find Jey before the show. As I rounded a corner I noticed him sitting on top of a crate on his phone.

"Hey Main Event" I smiled as I walked up to him. He gave me a surprised but confused face.

"Nope don't come over here smiling, this why you haven't been answering my calls this week?" He scrunched up his eyebrows staring down at me.

I poked my lip out giving my best puppy dog eyes, "Don't be mad, I just wanted to surprise you and everyone"

"Well it definitely work"

"good, now can you stop being mean and give me a hug" I smiled with my arms opened wide. He licked his lip and smiled a little pulling me into a hug lifting me off the ground.

"I missed you" I said as he put me back on the ground with his hands still wrapped around me.

"I missed you too, you feeling ok?"

"Yeah I am feeling good, doctors said I am cleared, I got a few segments tonight"

"Ok good, make sure to take it easy, need you around here"

"Aweee somebody care about me" I said as I caressed the side of his face.

"Of course I do ma" I smiled as I leaned up for a quick kiss

"Ima go get prepared for my first segment, meet up after the show?" 

"Most definitely" 

I began to walk away til he pulled me back to him and brought me into a more passionate kiss that lingered a little. 

"Let me go before you start something you can't finish"

"Don't worry, we'll be finishing this tonight" he smirked and sent a smack to my ass, as I walked away. I turned and hit his chest as he laughed. 

~Rhyan First Segment~ 

I was in gorilla hyping myself up for this first segment. Nia was having her match against Zoey Stark. The plan was to run in and attack her once the match was over. 

I waited til I heard the bell ring, signaling that the match was over, and her music hit. I let her enjoy her moment for a few seconds, til my music hit and I ran out leaving my title in gorilla.

As I ran out the crowd went wild, the loudest I ever heard them before. 

"THE WWE WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPION IS BACK AND WITH VENGEANCE" Michael Cole stated on commentary. 

I slid in the ring, Nia & I instantly throwing blows to one another. I quickly gain the upper hand, taking my leg swiping her legs from up under her. 

I let out a scream as the WWE universe was up on their feet cheering me on. I waited til she got up, stalking her like prey. 

"Rhyan Simone eyeing Nia Jax like prey, looking for some form of payback for  putting her on the shelf for a few weeks." Corey Graves commentated. 

As soon as Nia was up I rolled her up in my finisher, The Rhyne-Stone. I ran putting my knees in her back, rolling her over, latched under her chin and pulled her up. Applying a lot of pressure to her lower back. Officials and security ran out to separate us. 

"RHYAN LET GO!" I let her go standing up. I walked away but not before sending a kick to her mid-section. 

I walked back into gorilla, grabbing my title. I looked over to Paul and he gave me a thumbs up. I walked backstage bumping into Jey. 

"You did good out there Ma"

"Thank you, she finally got her receipt, now I need to go calm myself down before my next segment"

"When is your next segment?"

"I think it after Alpha Academy's match with the Viking's"

"bet, I got my match after your segment" 

"Ok, Ima go but Ima still see you afterwards" 

"Yeet!" 

~Rhyan Second Segment~

I was once again back in gorilla waiting to walk back out. Currently, Rhea and the rest of the Judgement Day, with the exception of Finn, was in the ring. Doing their usual promo on how they are the most dominant faction. 

I was watching on a monitor when Jey walked up next to me. 

"Hey what's up"

"Nothing much, I was just told that I would be joining you during your segment"

"Oh really, I could use some backup"

"You know Im there" 

I smiled as I looked back at the monitor. 

"And to Rhyan Simone when I get the chance, trust me, you are going to be out longer than what Nia had you." She smirked as she looked into the camera 

I put the title around my waist "that's my cue" I grabbed a mic off the table in gorilla and wait til my music hit. Once it did I walked through the curtain, getting another big pop tonight. 

"Rhea, Rhea, Rhea, just like every female in the back, you will never learn" I smirked as I walked down the ramp "you see, I am the most dominant champion in the company, hell, in this company's history" 

I jumped up on the apron, and went in-between the ropes, standing face to face with her.

"You say you are going to take me out, that you are the most dominant, prove it!" I looked deep in her eyes "I dare you, please try to take this title off of me. Because the difference between me and you" 

I smiled and stood back before I finished "I don't need the title, it doesn't make me a star, I am the damn star, of this show and of this company. YOU need to be the star, YOU need the title to make yourself feel better about yourself" She didn't like that last comment as she got closer to my face. 

"Trust me when I say Rhyan, the moment me and you are in this ring together, by ourself, you will see who the real star is" 

I smiled at her as I stood closer to her, me and her exchanging heated word with one another. That is until Damien decided he wanted to step in and shove me back. 

I gave Damien a look, and if looks could kill he definitely would've been 6 feet under. 

"Rhyan, I would be careful what you ask for, Rhea is the strongest woman in this whole division, and she won't have a problem taking that title off your pretty little waist" he smirked at me, using his pointer finger to caress my title. His hands crept on to my waist and that's where I had enough. 

I smacked his hands as he smirked at me. 

"Damien I wouldn't worry about stepping in women's business, but I guess as Mami's bitch I shouldn't expect nothing less" the crowd went crazy when I said that. Damien, heated, stepped up to me, and before he could get a word out. 

USO!

I smirked as Jey came down the ramp, high-fiving fans, quickly getting in the ring. He got in-between me and Damien staring him down. 

"Jey Uso is now IN YO CITYYYY" He slowly turned and looked at me, licking his lips. He walked around me, stopping to lean on the ropes. 

"First off, everybody lets welcome back Miss Rhyan Simone" He threw his head back before continuing "we missed you, we ALL missed you" He looked me up and down as I smirked at him. 

"Seems like there's a new tribal chief on Monday Nights, in the name of Rhyan Simone" I smiled as I stood to the side "Now you Priest, instead of stepping into women business, lets handle our business, tonight, right here, right now" 

We both gave each other a look and we swung on Rhea & Damien. I kicked Rhea out the ring, turning and seeing Dominic about to hit Jey. I grabbed him before he could, punching him, and throwing him out the ring next to Rhea. 

I got out the ring as Jey's match against Damien started. 

~End of night~

After Jey's match, which he won, we both walked to the back. I gathered my things walking out to the parking lot where Jey and I will meet. I saw him standing next to a charger and shook my head.

"Only you would get a Charger" he looked up and grin as he took my bags.

"You know I had to, only way I ride" 

We got in the car and made the quick drive to the hotel. We made it upstairs and set our stuff to the side. I was hungry so I was looking at the hotel menu. 

Jey came and wrapped his arms around me, putting his head on my shoulder.

"I hope you didn't think I would forget that you've been ignoring me all week"

"Baby it was to save the surprise" 

"I hear you, but I think I need a apology" I turned around facing him "plus we never got to finish what we started"

"So I'm guessing I won't be eating tonight"

"You won't, but I know I will be" 

He picked me up, earning a squeal from me, and wrapped my legs around his waist. 

He laid me on the bed, leaning up and bringing me into a passionate kiss. 

Let's just say, I was apologizing all night

You went over to their table & sat down.

This version was serious, now Solo Sikoa was taking over as the leader, calling himself 'The Tribal Chief .' He had his cousin Jacob Fatu whom he recruited last week from the Indies & the two Tongans from New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa.

Yup, they were a dangerous bunch. You were a bit terrified by them, especially seeing them jump the roster after Roman & Jimmy left. You even got along with the original members of The Bloodline & had get togethers with them since Naomi is also like a sister to you. You spoke to Solo once in awhile too, but that changed after Roman left & he stopped talking to you. Somehow there was a certain member of the group whom you couldn't keep your eyes off of, Tonga Loa.

Something about him was different to you. You've watched a few matches of him during his run in New Japan; he seemed to have a different aura & wasn't all over the place like his brother & the other Bloodline members. You've seen his Instagram as well, he was always smiling so bright & posting up with his dog, nephews, nieces, friends, family & even Krispy Kreme. You felt like he had a bright personality under that mysterious one. You were getting lost looking at him while he was grabbing food & chatting with Solo at the Buffet, until a body stepped in front of the pair & snapped its fingers at you.

Your gaze broke off & you looked up to see his older brother Tama giving you a stern look, cocking his eyebrow at you. He wasn't impressed. "Whatchu looking at little girl?" Loa & Solo stopped talking & turned their attention to you. Your face burned up & you felt embarrassed that he called you out like that. The room went quiet. Bianca scooted her chair closer to you in case you needed backup, you were a sister to her & she knew their game, they've messed with her husband & his friends & she wasn't gonna let them mess with you.

You felt the tension in the room rise & finally replied "nothing...I was just looking at the food being served today. I haven't eaten yet so I was curious-" "Bullshit!" Montez stood up in front of him "Boy, what the f-ck is your problem? She can look wherever she wants, it's a free country. What are you gonna do? Fine her? The girl just wanted some dang food & y'all are in her way." That's when Solo stepped in; you knew it was about to go down, he spoke "Oh, so it's our fault now?! Why doesn't she be woman & come & get it herself?" Angelo stood up "Aye! The woman can also make decisions for herself too & the last person she needs advice is from someone who dresses up like The Weeknd every week." Everyone bursted out laughing. Solo looked embarrassed.

You swore you saw Loa trying not to laugh, and quickly looked away. That's when Jacob came in & stepped in front of Angelo in Solo's defense, "Oh, so you think you're funny big guy? How about we settle this?" "I'd love to see you try." he challenged. You realized this isn't gonna end well, you didn't want to see Angelo getting hurt because of you. You quickly stepped in between Angelo & Jacob "please, don't fight. If you want to, do it in the ring or something next week, but not here. Tonga Loa, I'm so sorry if it looked like I was staring, I wasn't. I should've gotten my food as soon as I got here. I'm sorry it looked that way," you pleaded.

He gave you a look which looked sorry, was he feeling sympathetic towards you? " You have nothing to apologize for Y/N" he said. " WHAT?! Are you feeling sorry for her?!" questioned Tama. "It's okay bro, just leave it. She just wanted food. You're making something out of nothing. We don't need to get banned from catering again. Jacob gave Angelo one last look "see you in the ring next week." he said before walking away with his group.

Angelo smirked at him. "Oh my God Angelo, are you okay? I'm so sorry y'all. It's all my fault!" you cried. Angelo hugged you "sis, it's okay. We'll be okay. We're a family remember? Tama's the one who caused this shit & me & Tez wanna teach him another lesson, this one's for messing with you. We'll be okay. Just keep your distance from them, okay?" He assured as he rubbed your back. You nodded, you were so worried about him & Montez. "Will y'all be okay?" asked Bianca hugging her husband. "We'll be good, they need their asses kicked good. We'll have back up too. KO is here so we'll be even" said Montez earnings smiles from you & his wife.

"Y/N, you didn't eat anything" said B-Fab. "You know what? I'll grab Sushi on the way back. I'm not that hungry. Plus, I don't want to eat here. The energy is pretty off " you answered. "True, let me & Binky take you to that sushi bar around the corner. Get all the Cali rolls to celebrate the big win tonight, my treat. Go pack your things & we'll meet you at the car." said Tez. Bianca & Montez are like the big brother & sister you never had, they cared about you so much just as much as you did for them, you were grateful for them. You nodded & thanked them & went towards the buffet table, grabbed a paper plate & placed some spring rolls. She placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder, "don't feel that way, you're gorgeous girl. Any guy would be lucky to have you. It's just a matter of time, maybe they'll turn babyface a year later? You finished your spring rolls & took a while to pack, you were the type of person who would bring everything with you not to only help yourself, but others so you didn't want to lose anything. You finally packed up your things & hurried out to leave the arena, you didn't want Bianca & Tez to wait any longer, note to self you need to treat them for putting up with you. The arena was mostly empty by now as the show ended,it was mostly just the backstage crew & tech packing up. You were nearing the exit when you heard a familiar voice call out your name. You froze, could it be him?

scream: uhm.... you're on you're own bud. he's just gonna leave the room until you're done. it kinda hurts his ears....

cry: Mal doesn't know what to do. at first, he's mocking you, but soon he comforts you. Mal does love you, after all. and seeing you like that does (eventually) make him feel bad. but he doesn't really know how to comfort someone, so he just holds you, and does what he can to make you feel better. if someone else made you cry, they're dead meat. only Mal can make you cry. no one else is worthy.

nothing. but he is a bit more sadistic.

While Mal does like watching you suffer, he also likes you. if you were to be gone- personality, joy, hope, etc -he'd feel kinda bad cuss he'd know it was his fault. he'd do everything he can to try to bring you back. if he can't, he'll just do his best to live with this new you.

I obviously mainly fixate on jock, but I'm really open to a lot of pairings. Though tbh, this may be the one fandom where I don't really care for any mlm ships at all?? (Not that I mind them) It's mainly wlw or het ones.

I'm pretty much open to most canon pairings too (duncney, aleheather, etc), but I don't care for gen 1 as much in general so I'll tell you a few gen 2/3 ships I've liked:

Obviously I'm cool with zoke, and samkota was super super cute. I actually don't mind Dott either, I think it's pretty fun and very reminiscent of the 2012s (Dott fans are like siblings to me. They could never make me hate you) Shasmine was pretty much the main thing I remembered from watching PI when I was younger, so it's cool in my book (also height differenceee)

For Jo, I pretty much like the concept of most Jo x female character ships (brick is the only man I see her with. Think of it as the bisexual who mostly likes women and one very specific type of man). Jomaria makes sense to me, Jo/Dawn is pretty neat and I can see the appeal in Jo/Zoey but I really enjoy them as best friends, lmao. Also Joeather is funny as shit but I don't see them being an ACTUAL couple.

Dawn/Zoey is a really good one I've seen, I like em being weird girls together. It's a super cute concept, and they actually had decent-ish interactions in canon. We need more weird girls in our lives. Dawnkota and Dawnmaria are rarer ones I've only seen a few times, but I think they're neat and worth exploring as well!

I don't really ship them but can we PLEASE talk about Zoey and Dakota's interactions. "Hold me? 🥺" and then Zoey proceeds to awkwardly look away THEYRE SO FUNNYYY

Ella/Sammy is super sweet :) though the concept of Ella/Scarlett is SUPER cool too. Especially the ship name,, "Poison apple"?? Brilliant. Alsoo...Scarlett x me because she's hoWHAAAT WHO SAID THAT?? WHO SAID THAT

I've seen Sky/Lightning in fics and I honestly think it's neat?? The matching names are really cute, too. We love jocks in this household. I also think Scott and Zoey would be interesting as a pair, though I don't see much content of them. Same with Zoey x the system (minus Mike and obviously Chester). AND Zoey x Anne maria??? I genuinely have no idea how I've never seen content of those two together. I thought it'd be a bit more popular.

And of course,, Lightning x his muscles. Best ship, you can't change my mind.

Top 10 Most Anticipated Games Of 2025.

It’s time to talk about what games are exciting me the most coming into next year. I will not be including any game that was on last years list because you can go read it and see the games I was excited about last year that didn’t come out. Basically the whole list remains relevant minus Peach Showtime. 6 of the games aren’t out and 3 of the games are in early access. Which is to say that these games remain highly anticipated.  It’s worth noting from the old list Rune Factory: Dragon has been updated to Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma and with more footage I feel more confident in my anticipation then I was on last years list.  

Much like last years list the games on it may not come out in 2025, this list is mostly indie games and even locked in release dates often are delayed due to major game releases overshadowing their game and needing to pivot, massive bugs, indie publisher issues, etc.  let’s get excited together and play some really cool games when they release. However, since Kickstarter games are kickstarter games and often take more time two games that might be number one for me Food Devils and  The Witch's Bakery are not going to be included on this list just cuz well, they are very likely to be 2026 games or further up and I want to at least try and highlight games that are probably hitting next year.  That said consider that your reminded to you know check out Food Devil and The Witch’s Bakery, they both look great.  Also quick shot out to Pokemon Legends Z-A which I am certainly thinking about but has so many ways it could drop the ball I ended up removing it. 

This list is not in any particular order, I am excited for these games for different reasons and who knows, maybe some of them I end up not picking up for one reason or another but there games I would really love to see have a big success from the promise of them all 

Monster Prom 4: Monster Con

Monster Prom is a series I really love, one of the most fun dating sim type experiences turning it into a more board game esc experience where there this fun multiplayer element. It’s a great, funny experience even alone you can enjoy the storytelling, romance and jokes in equal spades and together it’s a really fun shared experience that comes down to digestible runs that make it less intimidating than a lot of other visual novel type experiences. Monster Con adds a con setting and a ton of really fun new features to the formula that make me the most excited I’ve been for a Monster Prom Spinoff. The new character designs are great and one of the main focused returning characters being sapphic trans woman Zoey makes me even more excited. 

Abyss X Zero

The developers last game was gay and while they haven’t said if this game has anything gay in it I am pretty sure the devs are like girlfriends? So like, I don’t know feels likely. It looks cool, Like the graphics, the customization looks great, it’s got great style, I really am excited to check out the game and give it a shot. I think the art style really manages to capture a fun anime vibe and the action actually represents that same vibe making for a really resonate experience that I think is going to really going to fill some primal need in me. 

Split Fiction Last Minute addition to the list, Split Fiction sounds incredibly exciting. Two authors join a program to make their novels realities one scifi and one fantasy. An accident causes the two  to end up in one simulation fractured between the twos novels. They have to work together in order to save their own stories from being stolen by the company. It’s got perfect girlfriends potential but also like really right on the money in themes with the idea of a company trying to feed writers ideas into a machine to own them forever and make whatever they want with them. I’m extremely excited to experience this story and love the Friend Pass System. 

Sword Of The Necromancer: Resurrection 

Sword Of The Necromancer is one of my favorite games ever and I just played it this year, you can expect to see a lot more talking about it in the rest of my end of the year lists but right here what is worth noting is that this is a remake of Sword of the Necromancer in their new games Engine as a sort of stop gap product. This game retells the love story of Tama and Koko and Tama’s attempt to revive the woman she fell for on a job. Since it’s a remake I can say that this is one of the best game stories I’ve played, it’s not super bloated with stuff, it’s simple, effective, romantic and well performed. The changes to gameplay we’ll have to see if their better, worse or just a side grade from the original but this is certainly an exciting game.

Lost Records: Bloom and Rage

From the original creators of Life is Strange not the ones who wrote away the main relationship of the series or is accused of inserting nazi stuff in their games or accused of workplace harassment, no it’s the studio that made 1 and 2 and then left their series behind to Square Enix to make new ideas. Lost Records is another go at their style of narrative game aiming to hit 90s kids nostalgia while also tell a story about adults and the past and more. It’ll have gay romance in it and probably a ton of angst.  It seems like a really great time with a great story that will be able to really speak to a lot of folks so I am thrilled to see them get to bring out something with the level of ambition of this narrative game. 

Unbeatable

This is just one of the coolest looking games visually, the animation is just so damn good and honestly it alone is a selling point. Then we got the main girl looking gay, the great music, and the fun concept for a story and I am feeling like this could be a real special piece of art. Unbeatable has you brining back music to the world, fighting cops, and being badass and honestly, it’s all I need in life. 

Scholomatch 

I didn’t expect much going into the demo but in the niche heights of matching game dating sims Scholomatch seems like it’ll be something pretty fun. It and Spirit Swap should both be coming out and should both be really exciting entries next year. This games non human girls and polyamory make it lean slightly over SS to me but it’s fun that we have two casual cozy little games where we can focus on romance and just a simple little gameplay loop so it’s not all VN. This game has you being a new student at a magic college where all the students are teaching each other rather than teachers. You play match 3 to impress the other students and learn new spells all while having conversations and getting closer to the cast of characters. I fell in love with this game in the demo when a girl who could see the future saw me as her best friend and was really sweet then realized we hadn’t become best friends yet and was so apologetic. It was sweet but also I can’t imagine how hard it is for her to have seen my character as a best friend for years in visions and having to realize “That might not even happen, because I’ve seen this I might ruin this deep important friendship” and like wow, that’s I am so invested in her I have to buy this game. Also obviously I am going to kiss her and at least a few of the others. 

Crescent County

Be a witch, race on a broom, work a delivery job across a pretty open field, kiss girls, this game is pretty damn close to a perfect concept. I take qualms with any connection to solar punk when also capitalism exists but the game is super freaking pretty so I can only complain so much. I think this seems like a really fun and special game, I am intentionally waiting to play the demo until after I put this post out since i started this article before the demo was announced and didn’t want it to color it’s entry here but as I am typing I am wanting to rush so I can jump in and give this game a shake. 

Cabernet 

Speaking of amazing concepts, we really do not have enough vampire games and Cabernet is a narrative focused game about being a newly turned vampire. You have to deal with your hunger and your families ongoing issue with vices, your dad was an alcoholic and you avoided drinking but now you need to drink blood and it’s that high. It’s an extremely down to earth vampire story that has an eerie ton but it also has room for romance and hopeful stories or so it seems. I am really excited to experience this beautiful and exciting game. 

Deltarune chapter 3 and 4 2025 is finally gonna be it’s year, maybe. Deltarune Chapter 1 and 2 are contenders for my best games of all time so I mean I can’t not be excited for the next two chapters. I don’t know what will be happening, will Noelle become a full on party member, how will it handle lingering plot points, will it get weird and fucky and tie more into undertales, what’s up with the secret boss stuff, I don’t know and even post release who knows how much is answered before 5? I just know I want the purple lizard to guess the little deer girl and that’s enough for me so long as there is goofs along the way.

mateo is obviously in the green lion, i feel like green herself would look like a cross between all three lion designs from the three iterations (defender of the universe, voltron force, and legendary defender) + some of the aesthetic mateo has w his z-blob comics (i dont know how z-blob fits in yet i came up with this while i was brushing my teeth)

izzy would be in yellow, i feel like it’d look like the original defender of the universe yellow lion but with some of izzy’s magical pizazz yannow? (also i know that blue probably feels like, at first glance, it might fit her better esp w how bunchu is blue but just bear with me once i get to blue and my explanation)

logan would be in blue, since he can’t dreamcraft the way the others can it, for the majority of the time, would look like defender of the universe’s original blue, without much variation. once he gets bigger it’s start looking different but i’ll need to think more abt what it’ll look like

as for why he’s in blue and not izzy: in the show, logan kind of struggles with messing up more than the others do and tries to prove himself worthy (which is why he brings lunia’s hourglass to “lance” (really funny that the nightmare king chose the name lance now that I think about it))

i will admit that i have not gotten the chance to watch defender of the universe in full yet, but i have been watching the beast king golion series that got adapted into the cartoon. in that series, takashi shirogane, the pilot of the blue lion, (equivalent to sven) dies, and princess fala (equivalent to allura) takes his place in the blue lion. there is an small arc + full episode dedicated to her struggling to make it past the team (minus akira kogane aka keith) expecting her to be on his level, and struggling with the fact that she keeps messing up more than the others do (sound kind of familiar?)

anyways also kind of off topic but there’s agent takashi which made me do a double take (especially because he looks like legendary defender’s takashi shirogane. the short black hair with the white in the front? i couldn’t believe it. i was laughing hysterically. shoutout to background character agent takashi for being the reason for this au btw you barely get any screentime but you have a special place in my heart and i haven’t seen anybody else notice the similarities) and i decided “hey what if he was blue’s pilot before logan and now there’s more drama during the REM competition”

And, of course, finally, we have zoey in the black lion! probably not too much of a surprise, my idea is that the team has no way to form voltron and fight the nightmare king because they don’t have somebody in the black lion but hey wouldn’t you know it? there’s this really skilled person who has a lot more experience with the dream world than them and she could be perfect! her black lion, i feel like, would take a lot from force’s black lion, with some elements from the defender of the universe and legendary defender black lion too

i will say that i may be inclined to change my mind about some of these choices!!! i know that there are arguments to be made about swapping izzy + logan (especially since, with my point about agent takashi causing drama could be enhanced by the fact that izzy specifically accidentally runs into him in the background of the episode where the competition is introduced) and if anybody wants to shoot me an ask feel free (do be warned, though, tumblr has been clearing my ask inbox for no reason- i will look in it, answer one ask, and it will be empty for all of my blogs. i’ve even lost asks from a long time ago that i meant to answer at some point, and it sucks that it’s happening in the first place.) i will do my best if i do get an ask but keep in mind that tumblr has been really hungry for asks lately!
