It's a chocolate smoothie kinda day today! Who is with me?? If you know me I love mint with chocolate and the mint in my garden is spectacular! Choc-Mint Magic 2 bananas, fresh or frozen and sliced 1/4 avocado 1 heaped Tbs raw cacao powder Pinch of salt 3-4 sprigs of mint 3/4 cup milk (any) 1 medjool date (pitted) Blend for 1-2 minutes to ensure mint broken down. Smoothie Mishap
Today's smoothie was a bit of an experiment and neither tasted nor looked very good (although the ingredients were healthy and I drank it anyway): raspberries, avocado, dried mint, spinach, local honey, and a splash of almond milk. How does one make an avocado smoothie that is not a brown, oily glob? Avocados are an important source of healthy fats that I would like to work into my smoothies occasionally...
