One thing that I find messed up about Minos is that he never gets punished.
Like what??? Like you're telling me that Minos was out there driven kids so crazy to their death, AND MANLPULATING NICO, and Hades did nothing about it.
Not just that, he WORKED WITH KRONOS FOR A BIT. YOU'RE TELLING ME NICO DIDN'T TELL HIM, "Hey dad, that guy that's literally a judge for you was completely okay with helping Kronos and killing gods knows how many kids. Don't you think you should maybe,I don't know, do something about it???"
Like did he have a contract or something, I see no reason why that man is still in such a position. I'm sorry???
I can't remember why he was placed as a judge, but wtf???
You're literally known for making sure no one escapes punishment, but Minos is fine and dandy.
And we know he has to be somewhat aware because instead of giving Deadelus a severe punishment he gave him a job that he probably knew the guy would enjoy.
HUN KICK MINO'S ASS OUT.
Like I don't think we get how bad what he did to those in the Labyrinth was. The insanity didn't kill them just because they had harder time getting out of the Labyrinth. No.
Chris Rodriguez literally was so bad after a whole year that he just gave up.
Tumblr media
Rick give me a Chris book right now wtf, you're telling me this guy was so bad that he was about dead but still managed to pull himself together in a year???? I don't want to hear y'all bashing my boy, he been THROUGH it.
Anyway. Fuck Minos. Why we let people who messed up others so bad get away with it even in the afterlife??? Hades, what???

“Bianca’s judgment”
Short fic about Bianca di Angelo
➴➵➶➴➵➶➴➵➶
“Father, please,” Bianca started.
She was sat on the arm of her fathers throne. Minos was in front of them for judgement and Bianca was not happy with him.
Hades gave his daughter a nod. Bianca slides down off of the throne and walks to Minos.
“Well I hear you have been treating my brother badly, and I want you to know I’m not happy,” she smiled dangerously.
“Excuse me! I’ll have you know I am a king-“ he tried to argue, only for Bianca to cut of him off.
“And I am the princess of this kingdom, which is not yours. I suggest you keep your mouth shut. I don’t care if you were royalty 4000 years ago. I’m royalty now.” Bianca’s tone was low and angry.
She was never one for threats or intimidation, but she could make exceptions for those who hurt her baby brother.
Hades flicks his hand, signaling the skeleton guards to take Minos to the fields of punishment.
His punishment was Bianca’s suggestion. He would experience the punishments of all those he unfairly judged for the rest of time.
Bianca sat back on the arm of her fathers throne. She would have had her own throne but hades didn’t want Nico asking questions if he saw it. So Bianca was content to sit next to her father for now.
Persephone glanced at her step daughter. “I never took you for cruel.”
Bianca shrugged. “I’m not, I think was being fair. I just don’t like people hurting my brother.”
Persephone was about to say something before Demeter materialized. Before she could speak Bianca slid off the throne. “I have homework to do-“ Demeter thrusted a bowl of wheat into her hands, “oh- thanks grandmother! I’ll eat it while I do homework!” She quickly walked out the throne room before Demeter could insist on anything. She shoot persephone an apologetic look on her way out.
Bianca did not in fact have homework.
She had some yelling to do, Minos wasn’t off her hook just yet.
➴➵➶➴➵➶➴➵➶
I will stand by the head cannon that Bianca becomes a princess in the underworld until I die
She did not choose rebirth, she was just in her room because hades didn’t want Nico trying to bring her back

Theseus #4 (In the Labyrinth)
No sooner had Theseus settled into his princely position, than King Minos of Crete, calls upon Athens for its bloody yearly debt. King Minos son had previously died in the Athenian games, and as an act of revenge, he threatened to invade Athens unless the kingdom sent seven male and seven female youths to Crete to sacrifice for his half-man, half-bull creature within his labyrinth; the Minotaur. Theseus volunteers as one of the youths, determined to stop the beast. King Aegeus tells Theseus if he survives, to switch the ship’s black sail to white upon his return, so his father will know he lives.
Arriving in Crete, King Minos’ daughter, Ariadne, falls for Theseus, and vows to help him if he will marry and bring her to Athens after defeating the beast. Theseus agrees, and Ariadne consults Daedalus, the ingenious inventor of the maze, as to its secrets. She gives Theseus the secrets, and most importantly, a ball of thread, so that he may retrace his steps. That night, Ariadne sneaks Theseus to the entrance, and he enters the dank corridors.
Ariadne is one example of smitten women assisting male Greek heroes on their quests with invaluable clues and tools. The Argonauts, arriving at Colchis to acquire the Golden fleece, were assisted by the princess Medea, who uses magic and ingenuity to help Jason succeed in his labors.
There are many interpretations for the symbolism of Labyrinths in myths. On the surface they show a character on a journey to discover their purpose or destiny through finding the correct path to reach their goal. They’re also symbolic of the stage of the hero’s journey Jospeh Campbell calls the “belly of the whale,” where the hero commits to their metamorphosis, and thus re-emerges from the ordeal, reborn anew. The Labyrinth center could represent a unification with the hero’s inner self, a higher power, or the ultimate challenge, and the tunnel could represent a birth canal.

After my dad gave me my new outfit, I was by myself again. Well, Minos was with me and he taught me a lot of things. Fighting, building a small camp to survive the nights but most important...How to reach the dead. Obviously I wanted to connect Bianca first, but he told me to start small, to just raise some nameless ghosts. (First bad thing he told me. No ghost is, or was ever, really nameless....) But yeah it was hard enough to raise anything at all especially on my first training sessions. But after a while I gained strength and knowledge. But no matter how hard I tried, I could never reach Bianca...

The moment Zagreus sees Midas try to manipulate Nico is the day Midas is violently reminded that Zagreus is the Prince of the Underworld who's entire job is to break out of it to find security flaws for a reason.
I like to imagine Zagreus finding Minos and Nico like on the outskirts of the underworld and just far away from the labyrinth entrance that there is no escape.
Like Minos is in the middle of trying to groom Nico into committing one of the cardinal sins of the underworld and suddenly hears boss music and the sound of flaming footsteps coming at him in a dead sprint.
Nico is mostly very angry and very confused. Particularly if this is the first time needing his godly brother. He either learns to shadow travel really fast or is in for the mothering of his LIFE

yknow, given Nico’s old special interest in pirates, my new headcanon is that his initial plan after impulsively running away in TTC and becoming a rogue was that he decided he was just gonna become a pirate. cause he was 10 and just learned his other special interest (Mythology/Mythomagic, specifically Greco-Roman mythology) is real so it’s probably a logical leap for him to assume pirates like that are still a thing.
Which immediately makes a significantly more hilarious dynamic between him and Minos because suddenly it turns into Minos trying to manipulate this son of Hades into helping revive him but to do so he has to wrangle this 11 year old into stopping trying to run off and become a pirate, and instead convince him to live in some lame underground tunnel system. Just imagine for the first few months of Nico living on his own/training with Minos, every couple of days Nico goes “-AND NOW I WILL BECOME A PIRATE” and Minos has to steer him back into the Labyrinth.

ok so bianca lives au!
the stress of being inside talos causes bianca to accidentally shadow travel (which explains the lack of a body)
talos is defeated, just to clarify
the quest continues on, zoe dies, and percy gets back to camp and tells nico bianca is dead
nico in this version denies it because he can feel that she isn't, but the rest of that interaction follows canon
so meanwhile bianca is in the underworld and when she figures out how to control her shadow travel she gets back to camp the day after nico leaves
unfortunately she can't do much to help find him, but she does search while also rejoining the hunters
eventually she realizes he's in the underworld, but minos leads him away before she can get there
after that it's a game of cat and mouse
nico has been convinced that he's wrong and she's dead because that serves minos' goals better
so she tries to find them, minos keeps moving away, this goes throughout the labyrinth
at the same time annabeth, percy, grover, and tyson are on their quest and have been told to keep an eye out
they see nico at the ranch and try to tell him, but he refuses to listen
after percy kills geryon, annabeth manages to send an iris message
bianca shows up, there's the reunion/explanation, nico hates percy less, and since now he has a whole reason to not trust minos, he sends minos away.
nico doesn't want to go back to camp atm, so he stays at the ranch and bianca sticks around too
then the quest continues, calypso's island happens, annabeth and percy go back in with rachel's help, etc.
bianca shows up and helps them in daedalus' workshop (nico didn't have enough control to properly return minos to the underworld so he ended up sticking with some chthonic kids from the ta)
they escape, go to camp, where nico and that immortal ares kid who's name i don't remember join them, as do the hunters
so castor doesn't die
lee still does because reasons
tlo goes more or less the same except more powerful demigods = less deaths
also hades favors bianca so she stays in the underworld freeing up nico to assist the others
plus bianca and hades, demeter, and persephone show up earlier
alabaster will probably work his way into this b/c i love him
and he is a chthonic kid so maybe...
so there you have it! bianca di angelo lives. she's also scary.

i 🤎🐮
do you think asterion sensed sally's motherly love for percy and became jealous of him..
especially bc posideon was basically the reason why he was born, resulting in him being abused by m*n*s
like..his mom hated him from birth, she didnt even hold him it was the handmaidens who took care of him for a very short while
so when he meets percy already prepared to kill him he senses sally's love and is jealous that the son of the god that ruined his existence gets to have a loving parent
and how about the battle of manhattan!? percy got the life he never had, loved by his family and friends (+ posideon!) while asterion has to fight again and again just like when he was young ☹️☹️☹️

"I can bring her back" I whispered again and again. Almost like a mantra. I stayed up all night, I trained and tried to reach Bianca in the underworld. But it didn't matter what I did, she never showed up. I talked about it with Minos a lot and he convinced me to ask my father that I could bring a soul, in return for hers. I didn't want to kill anyone. I wasn't a killer...not yet anyway.
But I needed her back, I couldn't live that way, I was nothing. I had no home, no family...
But I had an idea. I could give my soul for hers. So I went back to the underworld.
