Hiya! I'm a 40something-year-old writer and cosplayer from Minnesota, USA. Nonbinary, a couple decades before there was a word for it. Folks call me Star, and I love that.

Use any pronouns for me you feel like; I'm partial to they/them, but I've collected pretty much all the Pokemon badges of gender there are by this point, and shift between male/female/secret third thing as my whim carries me.

The name is new, though. You may have known me by my previous username, that I used for... oh, only around 35 years or so.

Then, last year, in preparation for appearing in a nationwide news article about the new form of gender confirmation surgery I was among the first to have, I disappeared absolutely everything-- my handle, the books I wrote, fanfics/fanart, anything about me online-- for my own safety.

There were suddenly an awful lot of alt-righters who knew me by my legal name, you see, and they kinda weren't too keen on me... uh, being alive.

But it seems like that storm has finally passed (thanks, Internet's short attention span!), so here I am again! Quietly working on two books I can't talk about yet, in the background. Exploring my newfound love for cosplaying my fictional doppelganger, Simon Petrikov. Busy thrivin'.

im 19, an artist from minnesota, and currently majoring in animation!!!!

ive been drawing since i could remember, although ive only recently started animating lol

i draw a lot of fanart, mainly mlp and vocaloid!!!! i also like to draw my ocs a lot too!!!

i am also a cosplayer!!

Inside The Uncanny Experience: A 2-day immersive fan convention for people who love the X-Men.

On September 16th & 17th, The Uncanny Experience took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota at a historic venue called The Minneapolis Club.  The team at Giant-Size Productions transformed the location in Xavier Institute for a 2-day immersive fan convention for people who love the X-Men.  Attendees were addressed as students, given Student IDs as badges, a class curriculum, and were taught by cosplayers and creatives of the X-Men Universe...

I decided to share some of my photos from the book project on my tumblr. I spent 3 years traveling to 20 cities for the book project so I have plenty of images.⁠ .⁠ We kick off in Minneapolis, Minnesota with Lano Thor and his Lagiacrus from Monster Hunter. I photographed him in his home he shared with his brother. My setup was simple, Canon 5D II with a flash pointed up at the ceiling for a general overall fill. At first, I posed him next to his armor but then switch to a more central standing photo as you can tell in the second image. I had Lano fidgeting on the computer (notice Ruby Rose weapon he lean his chin on) and on his helmet. His costume was already done but I figured I can cheat a little with the work-in-progress photo.I thought his room has such a unique color theme with green carpet and blue walls with green blinds. I think I spent a hour there.⁠ .⁠ I later followed him to Anime Detour, Minnesota's largest anime con. I spent about a week in Minneapolis following different groups of cosplayers so you'll see more in upcoming posts.⁠
