The Phoenix Art Museum near where I live has a section dedicated to the miniature rooms made by Narcissa Niblack Thorne between 1932 and 1940. They are supposed to represent rooms from different historical eras from the Middle Ages to Modern Times. These four supposed to be rooms from the 1920s. These ones are my personal favorites. While I was reading Lackadaisy, I thought about these rooms and which ones would fit which character. Which room would you guys think would suit which member of the Lackadaisy cast?

European and Pan-American traditions meet atop a sideboard showing off a miniature village scene. Little Victorian figures and tiny candle-decked Christmas trees are surrounded by small stucco Spanish-style buildings with tile roofs and arched windows. The dramatic background is a Mexican oil painting.

Upgrading the 'polaroid magnet' idea of 2019 for 2023's Xmas card trades, these ones are made from wood and use actual magnets! Luxurious! |D All the poses are also referenced from actual party photos i've taken of other people, to add to the candid vibe lol.

The dreamcatcher is kind of a gag gift (yes the craft project i reffed here) for some friends. Since they don't have the ability to fight their nightmares i have offered to [try and] do it for them XD

Made from: Wooden craft polaroid (plus some backing MDF pieces), magnet, misc decorating items (glitter, wooden shapes, gel pens, paint etc). The dreamcatcher is just a storebought one with laminated paper mes wired to it

The Mane 6 all going after their go to creative activity! This was directly inspired by the MLP Art/Creative Discord server we set up, since it got me wondering what each would enjoy and share of their own.

AJ making adorable little wood creatures. Rarity obviously doing some creative sketching. Pinkie doing some art - which I imagine as falling into expressionism. Fluttershy composing melodies and songs, possibly with lyrics. Rainbow doing art as well, though pure chaos and just letting out all her emotions, going for abstract until it feels right. And finally, Twilight being a writer (she will absolutely deny writing fanfiction while being completely red faced).

Herbarium tour room box. 1:18 scale.

I wanted to make this piece because I kept making miniature herbarium specimens and I wanted a way to display them. What better way than to lay them out like we do for tours or open houses on the counter tops.

The box is a separate fruit box, and the herbarium cabinets were also made from smaller fruit boxes. The inside lid and sides are covered with some of my favorite specimen labels.
