I started watching New Girl recently. And I've finally seen THE episode, I mean, the one where Nick and Jess kiss for the first time.

I have to say, this is one of the best TV kisses I have ever seen !

I love how the whole episode leads to that final scene, to that very real kiss. I mean, Nick grabs her and then there's no background music or anything distracting you from what's happening, all you hear is Nick and Jess kissing and breathing. 

And after the first passionate kiss, Nick touches her forehead before giving her another kiss. This is so hot and gentle at the same time.

That scene is just perfect.

And I love Nick Miller so much ! He's definitely high on my list of favorite male characters. I would have loved to watch the show during it's original run.

i know people love pining (especially seemingly unrequited pining) as a ship dynamic and like, same obviously but the Best ship dynamic is actually when both characters have feelings for each other and they both know on some level they feel the same way but they're not ready to admit it or take the step for whatever reason so all of their Moments are filled with this fizzy kind of anticipation not just for us, the audience, but for them too!!!! it's like, it's gonna happen. we know it's gonna happen. they know it's gonna happen. but Not Yet. and that's okay. they can wait. they can send each other that private little smile and know they'll get there eventually. we, on the other hand, will then be tearing our hair out in absolute agony because why can't they just kiss already!?!?!?!??! it's fucking great, 10/10, truly unparalleled

friends to lovers is amazing obviously but I also want more stories about friends who were dating or having sex and find it isn’t working for them and they just go right back to being friends. maybe a little break from each other to adjust or get over the person, but ultimately the friendship prevails. obviously being demi, friends to lovers is my only choice for dating and I do love how I can relate to it but there’s a certain anxiety that comes from only ever being able to date your friends, that if you ever go for it romantically/sexually, you are risking the friendship if things don’t work out. There are loads of other ways to lose friends, but it’s pretty common to not stay friends with people you’ve had relationships with, and we have basically no media representation of healthy, purely-platonic relationships between exes. And I really want that.
