comics as an art form make me insane. they’re so difficult to do well. there’s so many different ways to make sequential art work and most of them are deeply unintuitive. onomatopoeia that feels completely ridiculous to put down often reads seamlessly. panels on a page become a fractally nested image composition challenge that’s only possible to lose because if you do a good job no one will notice. you have to direct the readers’ eyes on a specific path across the page but also account for the fact that they won’t follow it. comic time isn’t linear. if the order of events isn’t crystal clear the story becomes incomprehensible. sometimes you need to do this on purpose. all this for a medium almost universally considered less effective than animation and less respectable than plain text. even its own name doesn’t take it seriously

A-Frolic Workaholic Alcoholic
The beer in her hand still ice-cold; she empties the glass in one go. It hits the counter louder than expected. She doesn’t hear it though. Her train of thought’s catching up on her. What colleagues want, favors friends are always asking, comments made by family. Dad had a way of saying things. Comments full of envy no one noticed due to its unobvious layer of charm. Karen had learnt from a young…

Do we have free will?
When you are free, you have a will. When things happen the way we want it - we call it a free will. However, when life happens contrary to our desire, we call it destiny. So, whether an event is a free will or a destiny - is determined by the direction of our thoughts. For example, if I want to have potatoes for dinner, the cook also thinks of cooking potatoes and we see potatoes in dinner, we tend to say. “See, I willed potatoes for dinner, so I have potatoes.
On the other hand, if the cook thinks of cooking macaroni and you see the macaroni at dinner. Then you say, “Oh it's my destiny to have macaroni today instead of potatoes”. So, if our thoughts are aligned with what nature has in store for us, then we are free. Now the question is, how do I align my thoughts with nature? Well, it is when we become free from stress, our mind is in rhythm with nature, and we are hollow and empty.
This is as explained by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
P.S: Sudarshan kriya breathing technique taught by Art of Living helps you shake off the stress and starts your journey towards being hollow and empty.

How many times have you wished for "more time" in your day?
30 minutes a day may seem to be too much time to loose. “Time is apparently money when your boss is using it, yet somehow it’s “free” time when it’s leftover for you to use.” David Kadavy – Mind Management, Not Time Management. We all wish we had those extra hours to fit in everything we want to do, whether it’s pursuing a passion project, spending time with loved ones, or simply catching our…

Always Favors You
Another Sibling Danny and Jason idea!!
"Are you Jason Peter Todd?!" demanded a deep and commanding tone from the strange glowing being in front of them.
All the Bats stiffened and tensed, no doubt gearing up for a fight against the being that somehow knew Red Hood's full name.
Jason, Red Hood, decided to put on a brave front despite no doubt cursing in his head and wondering how the heck did this thing know his full freaking name.
"Whose asking." he snarled out, his hands twitching for his gun when the huge glowing knight with purple flames coming out of his helmet and cape, who was riding on a nightmare looking horse while they all had been in the cave going over tonight's patrol.
The Knight didn't seemed bothered by his response nor did he even seem to care or flinch when Batman made his own demand on 'Why was he there and who was he' or when Damian unsheathed his sword and pointed it towards him. Instead the strange glowing Knight reached to it side and pulled out... A glowing scroll? Huh. (Also he completely unnerved everyone in the room when the Knight didn't even react when Batman had tossed a Baterang when he reached for his side)
The Knight opened the scroll and spoke clearly with purpose.
"Jason Peter Todd,
You are hereby invited as a special guest of honor to the crowning of our future King of the Infinite Realms.
Daniel Phantom, once Daniel Jackson Fenton, and once Daniel Austen Todd.
Prince of the Infinite Realms, the Keeper of Balance, The Peacekeeping Halfa, the Defeater of the Tyrant King Pariah Dark, The Great One, Youngest of the Ancients, Ancient of Space, The Bridge between Life and Death.
You, the half-brother of our King, have been given the highest of honors for your past actions and will be given housing and food in the Realms and Phantom's Keep, for the week long event. Personal servants and attendants will be at your disposal and a seamstress will be on hand to tailor make your attire for the Coronation.
Signed: Clockwork. Ancient of Time. Watcher of the Infinite Timeline. Kronos. Mentor and Adviser.
PS: I shall have Fright Knight ("Me" the Knight bluntly said for a second) leave this scroll along with a personal one for you from Daniel to read over and once you make up your mind sign the bottom of the scroll.
I do hope in time you will pick the right choice Jason Todd, we of the Infinite Realms would like to reward you for your actions. After all, if you hadn't gotten young Daniel away from your father that night all those years ago, we would never had gained our Prince nor be free from our once Tyrant King.
Ah, one more thing.
The Infinite Realms will always favor you Jason."
Jason felt like he couldn't breath as Fright Knight? Rolled up the scroll, pulled a letter from his side, and held out the two items for him to take.

Danny sat on a rooftop feeling confused. It was currently 3 days later than he last remembered. That was 3 DAYS with no memory of anything. He didn’t even know what city he was in. The only thing he is sure of is that it wasn’t mind control. His experience with Freakshow let him know that.
Along with this feeling more similar to the time his mom shoved high proof cleaning alcohol that was ectofied in his face during an excited rant. The fumes alone had him missing a few hours. Luckily Jazz was there and kept his blackout drunk self entertained.
So the question was, where the hell was he and what did he do?! Also, what caused him to blackout? Last he remembered he was in Metropolis and he got nearly hit in the head with a green glowing stone that he only vaguely could tell was somehow not ectoradium. After that? Nothing.
Aka: Kryptonite is highly compressed ectoplasm and causes Danny to get black out drunk just by being in its vicinity.
P.S. I also would love to see what chaos you think Danny would get up to lol

Surviving Reality-Insanity
Just jump in, don’t think – let’s kill each other off on first instinct. It was on the 11th of July. They blew another building to the ground. Only 51 survived. When I heard, I went to the desert and had myself a mushroom. Jumped and hopped around (la di da di da), brought my blaster and blazed it super duper loud. I didn’t know sadness could taste so sweet once you put a music layer on it. My…

Is your Mind doing this?
A farmer cultivated a stunning sunflower garden that captured the admiration of many, including the Japanese emperor. Upon learning of the emperor's intention to visit, the farmer requested 1.5 days to prepare. The emperor's office granted the time, assuming the farmer would enhance the garden for the royal visit. However, when the emperor arrived after 1.5 days, he found only one sunflower standing amidst a harvested field.
To the emperor's surprise, he remarked, "Oh, this sunflower is larger than last year's." The farmer, disappointed by the emperor's comment on the solitary sunflower, explained, "I sacrificed the rest of the sunflowers to ensure the emperor could appreciate this one without comparison. Unfortunately, my efforts seem to have been in vain, as the emperor is still comparing it to last year's. My original intention has been defeated, and I apologize for any disappointment."
This is to say how our mind is hooked on in comparison to the past all the time. That is we are hanging on to the past. Whenever we are drowned in an event or an impression or an impact of an event, we forget the cause. That's how we are drowned in an event. Its bondage. That impression stays in the mind. We keep thinking about it for weeks, months, or years. We picked up a fight with someone yesterday. Today our whole day is spoiled since we kept thinking about it - I should have said this; I should have taken this stand; I should have done that. So though that fight ended yesterday physically, it continues today in our consciousness in our mind. And what happened as a result of that? We missed the wonderful thing that happened today at this moment. Today has offered you something different, today's gift. Yesterday, time posed a conflict in front of you. Today it is offering you something else but when we are hooked on to yesterday's conflict, we miss today's gift. We are oblivious to the gift of today's present to us. Tomorrow someone is coming and giving you good news but it does not really register since you are still hooked up with the conflict 3 days back.
This is Sansara. This is Maya.
But kids don't do that, have you noticed that? Kids pick up a fight and forget that in one or two hours. They are playing with each other again. They completely forget that they had a fight. Every time they pick up a fight - it's a fresh new recipe, a new fight, no stale fight. And as adults, nothing appears to be fresh here. As adults, even though our love is stale, our fight is stale because everything we link to something in the past. Whereas kids live in the present moment, they enjoy every moment. Everything is fresh and alive for them. Everything is new for them. For them, the tree speaks to them, the moon speaks, the sun speaks, and everything has life. We have moved away from this little little world but an awakened one doesn't. We have moved away from this little world of charm, beauty, love, presence, and living in that present moment.
An awakened is the one who despite being intelligent and sharp in its intellect continues to enjoy the little world of innocence, beauty, and the present moment.
"The above is as explained by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar".
By the way, have you learnt Sudarshan Kriya? It is a rhythmic breathing technique that cleanses the negative emotions in us. It gradually helps to bring the mind to the present moment faster if practiced regularly.
