Official name for GranDracmon!Kafka AU as the idea won't leave me alone. It's holding my ass at gunpoint to conjure the most insane shit possible so I'm gonna deliver. The first being the timeline of sorts.

I decided to refresh my brain a bit on major pre-canon events. One thing being when No.6 attacked which was 10 years ago. At most, Kafka would've been 22-23 at the time while Kikoru is 8-9. (Important detail for me to fix the young Shinomiya's age for the Ghost AU.)

I'm highly tempted to have Kafka come into his eldritch heritage at 21 instead of 28. Why? To up the Defense Force's blood pressure even higher by having him fight and kill Kaiju No.6. Although I would have to change somethings first.

No.6 is a known danger to the Defense Force as they been steadily monitoring this particular monster's movements. The catalyst for the fateful catastrophic attack is a territorial dispute with the newly emerged Kaiju No.7. It kills the offender but the rage set off wasn't ready to ebb away until more blood is shed thus the attack on the city.

Any other situation, Kafka would've been in a shelter with everyone else. However since he has power here... The Defense Force gets unexpected help from the mythic 'Vampire King'. For those who don't know much about Digimon, GranDracmon is a very powerful Demon Beast type Digimon. I'm talking stronger than the series equivalent to the demons who represent the 7 Deadly Sins.

The fight between Kafka and No.6 was very ugly but there were a lot less casualties that day. However this feat had major consequences for him in return. Kafka is the most wanted by the Defense Force as he essentially became 'King of the Monsters' for killing the previous one aka 6.

Second is he been harshly weakened from his injuries. A few Defense Force officers decided to use the reflective nature of No.6's ice to increase the effectiveness of their light cannons against Kafka during the battle. This has left burnt patches across his body specifically the hind legs, left shark head's maw, right upper chest, upper back, right side of his chin to the neck down and left wing. (He retains those upper body scars in human form.)

Weak spots that allow others to harm Kafka in monster form without needing concentrated light. It also lessened his time in human form since it will take years for this side to recover. Finally there's the public opinion of him. Everyone is split 50/50 on what they think about the Vampire King. Some see him as a guardian while other believe he's a gigantic threat.

Even the Defense Force wasn't left unscathed since one of the lives Kafka saved that day is Hikari Shinomiya. The attack left her wheelchair bound, her spine took serious damage, so she can no longer fight. Hikari is one of the main advocates who want Kafka to be taken alive. She fully believes he fought No.6 to protect people than a territorial dispute like others claim.

You can say Tiny didn't make Kafka's situation any better either. He can't join the Defense Force as one of the changes caused by his hybridization is his human form's blood became a musty orange. Something our himbo wasn't happy to discover upon cutting himself the next day.

Another change is a 8 ft tall bipedal hybrid form of his GranDracmon heritage. It isn't as strong like the full form with the best fortitude estimate being around 6.4. Kafka can raise to a 9.8 by drinking kaiju blood so he usually keeps a vial on him.

Between the Defense Force, the 3rd Division aim to capture Vampire King while the 1st rather kill him on sight. Kafka will become a vigilante as it's the only path left to fulfill his promise to Mina. He shall fight by her side but in the form of a monster than man.

My December Challenges Masterlist

Alright, tomorrow the last month of the year begins and with it there come a lot of fanfiction writing challenges. This is going to be my masterpost, in the hope that I will manage to update this every day and not forget about it halfway through.

Moebius Redesign Extras: Songoose, Smalls, and Sourcream

Decided to Just do the rest of these in one post. Doing an Anti-Mina was one of the big motivations, I had the idea of her being more of a super agro-protester. Basically verbalizing the impression squads views in an even more distorted manner. Anti-Cream and Cheese are taking Cream's sheltered and polite animal lover character in a darker direction. Sourcream is heavily sheltered and emotionally suppressed by her mother, and keeps Onion on a lease because she doesn't believe any person would willingly be with her. Onion is wormmon from Digimon 02. Smalls I did last and realized I didn't have many ideas left, hence why the project ended here. He's just more feral-looking and meant to resemble big concept art more.

Digimon Adventure 02 (Blind Watch) - Episode 40

Damn! This was a lot to take in. I really enjoyed it despite the information overload. Loved seeing the international digi-destined/chosen children. Yeah, they were very stereotypical, but nothing really offensive, I thought they were pretty wholesome and cute. This episode was mainly focused on New York and Hong Kong with some other areas of the world thrown in in the background (and space lol, that's was a nice touch). Totally down for this 3-parter (got a little spoiled by the DVD menu).

Digimon introduced: Syakomon, Flareizamon, Gorillamon, Octomon, Apemon

Notes:

-So...some questions. Imperialdramon can breath in space apparently (or maybe he's flying so fast he doesn't need to breathe?) Also, the main kids' digimon made it clear that they only speak Japanese. So like...are digimon programmed to speak the language of their partner? Is it regional? Maybe it's like how if I buy an Alexa in Japan it'll come out of the box speaking Japanese. I wonder if digimon are capable of learning other languages...or if Koushiro could tweak their programming.

-So Michael's a digi-destined AND his dad's a movie star? How main character can one kid be!?

-Okay so new squad members:

New York digi-destined: Tatum (Airdramon), Maria (Centarumon), Lou (Tortomon), Steve (Frigimon), Sam/Phil (Flareizamon)

Hong Kong digi-destined: The Poi Brothers (Syakomon), Yue Hong (Apemon), Dien (Gorillamon)

India digi-destined: Mina

They're all so cute! The American team kinda gave me Captain Planet vibes with the diversity. As a Latina, I was excited to see Maria <3 Also, it's a cool idea to have triplet kids with matching digimon (the Poi brothers).

-Omg Syakomon's design is adorable! They look like a Polly Pocket :D

-It was cool to see different digimon partners, most of them being digimon the main kids have fought before. I kind of wish we got to see more of them in their rookie forms like we did for Syakomon.

-Why does Palmon get to evolve to Lilymon but Michael's Betamon only goes to champion level? With Benjamin there I would think everyone would power up, but I guess that's too much effort for the animators lol. (Either that or Betamon hasn't achieved a higher digivolution yet...)

-Loving the chilly winter vibes on this chilly winter day. Seeing anime characters bundled up makes me feel better about the cold.

-What is this Creation of Adam pose? Lol suddenly Hikari's in a renaissance painting with Angewomon. (No wonder the Poi brothers fell for her)

-Yue kinda seems like a badass, wish we could have seen more of her.

-Mysterious ending with Mummymon creepin' on a little boy. Nice eerie setup to entice me to watch on. It's funny how drastically everything's improved now that we've dropped the previous arc.

Dreaming To Reality: Oneiromancy Chapter Twenty Eight - 05

Kudamon flopped down on Miyako’s bed and watched her partner have her self-contained freak-out. She had been able to watch the entire exchange from a distance, before zipping around the building to sneak into her room through the window, so she knew exactly what had just happened and why her partner was having a fit.

“Well,” Kudamon said, slowly. “That was awful.”

“Where did she hear that word!?” Miyako hissed through her teeth as she made clutching motions with her hands. “Even if she didn’t know what it meant, you don’t just spontaneously come across that word!”

“She kept mentioning cops or the police,” Kudamon said as she tilted her head. “Maybe she spoke to a cop?”

“But if that’s true, that means a cop knows about Digimon, or at least the word Digimon, and knows enough about me to approach my sister about it!” Miyako said as she continued to flex and unflex her fingers, as she tried to control her rampaging emotions and think.

Kudamon frowned. “Didn’t the Ryuzakis say that the government was doing some sniffing around? Is this what they meant?”

Miyako froze, her entire body going rigid except for a shudder that ran down her spine.

“Shit!”

“Sounds to me like we should take Mina up on her offer, and have them look into this too,” Kudamon drawled. “As this sounds more like their alley.”

Miyako gave a sharp nod before she quickly grabbed her DT2, typing out a frantic email. “And the chatroom too. I’ll also keep trying to probe Momoe to see if she’ll give anything else up.” She paused at that as she chewed over the thought. “Or maybe check the security cameras for the store, and see if she talked to anyone during her shifts.”

“Should we tell the others?” Kudamon said.

“Not yet,” Miyako said. “We don’t want to panic anyone else until we know there’s definitely something to panic about. As it is, there’s nothing we can do without more information.”

“So you’ll just panic by yourself?” Kudamon asked as she quirked an eyebrow.

“That’s the price of being the level-headed one,” Miyako said, not looking up as she typed her message. “Stress, panic, worry, and suffocating responsibility.”
