I feel like the few ways nintendo’s expensive and shit emulator service can redeem itself is if it manages to include features that the average and not specialty emulators struggle with or don’t have. when the average person is using mupen or project 64, n64 netplay is a great selling point. It still performs worse than P64K or Simple64, but given how it’s orders of magnitude easier to set up a game. there is definitely value. Same goes for Tilt controls and rumble on the gameboy emulator. Not many people know about mGBA and are still using a vba from two decades ago so seeing tilt n tumble working with no setup is ideal. I fantasize about a port of boktai that uses the switches built in light sensor, pokemon on the emulators that can interact with each other and even the stadium games. Maybe even gamecube with the link cable and ereader functionality. I doubt anything like what i imagine will happen but i do think nintendo can do something cool.

It took literally almost a year but while Nima is absolutely NOT amenable to petting she will now let me just walk up to her and sit down without getting skittish, which is great progress considering she used to just bolt away and now she consistently lets me give her a chin scritch, which is also very funny to me that she won't accept a head pat but will actually binky after a chin scritch.

It's silly and sweet but I think there's actually something soooo, emotional, about Buck feeling safe and secure and free in a relationship that he doesn't have to keep up the facade of being okay with everything. Where he can feel like it's okay if he feels upset about something regardless of how silly it is because he knows he can lay that on Tommy without scaring him away. Just him being okay donning both his type A and (a little) needy personality knowing Tommy will counter it with the best balance of giving him that head tilt that says "be reasonable about this, babe" but also just let him pout. I always say I want Buck to be spoiled to the moon and back because he's always the giver in his relationships and he's obviously a guy who hasn't been loved like he deserves ever since he was a child but the most attractive aspect of that to me is Buck feeling like he CAN be pouty and needy and bratty and demanding and live his whole self with his romantic partner. And the most attractive version of that "spoiling" is actually a man who won't run away and who will respond to it with a mix of letting Buck feel his feelings but also, like, sass back to level him lol.

I always picture something like early in their relationship Tommy needing to fly to somewhere for a few days and this is the first time they will have that much distance and Evan "You're Never the One Who Gets Left Behind" Buckley gets in his own head a little bit about that and acts all pouty about it anytime Tommy brings it up. Tommy, realizing this is not baseless, takes in stride all of his "feeling the room with negative energy" moments. Till the moment of separation where he gives Buck an "you're being a brat about this" look he can't miss but just says a reassuring "you know I'm coming back, right?" Or something.
