He didn't just say what I think he did, did he? Never-ending spiral or Miles and Alex keep singing about each other...
The reason why I started looking into it was this line: "So I put on my suit, polished my best shoes " Constantly, Miles Kane (Change the Show) Sounds familiar? Yeah, it is, isn't it? "Wardrobe's lint-rollin' your velveteen suit And smudgin' dubbin' on your dancin' shoes" Mr Schwartz, Arctic Monkeys
So i thought, okay... Let's listen to some more of this Constantly song... "Driver, stop, turn this cab around 'Cause I hear the sound Of Bandini's call " Constantly, Miles Kane (Change the Show)
So pull over, I know the place Don't you know an apparition is a cheap date? What exactly is it you've been drinking these days? Jukebox in the corner Long hot summer Star Treatment, Arctic Monkeys So you will be like: okay... The first 2 lines are somewhat similar, but who is Bandini and what has it got to do with Long hot summer? We all knew that Long hot summer is Paul Weller's (The Style Council) reference and that The Last Shadow Puppets were into it during the EYHCTE recording. Check this interview here [5:14 min]
But what has Bandini got to do with any of it? In 2019 Bandini released his debut album “Barflies” produced by Camelle Hinds who worked with [coughing in gay] Style Council, Paul Weller)... This Bandini is great too btw.... Check it out...

Thoughts on "Everything you've come to expect" being a perfect album... But not perfect in a way that you liked all songs instantly... No, your amuse-bouche is, of course, "Miracle aligner" and "Aviation"... Then you develop your pallet to consume "Bad habits" - and explain to others how it is a perfect example of an ambivalent tonality song - it is perfect in its imperfections - when opposites collide; when it sounds off tune till you learn to appreciate it's beauty... Then you probably learn to float in the air with "The Dream Synopsis" and roughly spit the lyrics and rub your jaw along the "Sweet dreams, TN"... Suddenly "Dracula teeth" creep up on you and all you are left with is a potent vision of the lipstick on the pillow via his cheek and "Pattern" lures you in and not even in your wildest dreams it occurs to you to go to sleep... "She does the woods" suddenly becomes so graphic when you finally stop and listen... and you are suddenly in the bushes during the festival with purple cagoules passing you by... And you think of BBC Radio 1 interview and Alex's dirty knees... And then, of course, "Everything you've come to expect"... Hotel room, free love revival, never-ending spiral, goosebumps soup and honey pie... Preferably sang face to face across the Steinway and his sons... If you know what I mean... There is also a separate topic of "The Bourne Identity" about travelling with monogrammed suitcase and keeping on your costume... And to cement the point made in "Used to be my girl" - this album for sure bends you far out of shape like no other...
The cherries on the cake are the covers section and for visual stimulation - the photo album...
At this point, you have been taken on a journey... You have been fine-dined, taken on an adventure, lifted to highs and cruelly dropped to lows... Crooning, screaming, whispering, guitar, drums, strings, Miles, Alex, Milex... [Special notes from the connoisseur - this beauty has to be consumed on vinyl with a glass of red... Trust me... ]
