The Mildenhall Legacy is about relationships and the bonds that people form. The setting is the American southwest, with subplots in Africa, Paris, and the middle east. Well damn. I didn't expect in this episode that we'd not only get the confirmation that Kinger had a "Queenie” in the virtual world, but that the reason he retreats into his pillow fort is because it's where he can remember his wife best, even if she's abstracted. ;_; ;_; ;_; Him hiding in the fort certainly seemed like a coping mechanism or a need to feel safe by being in there, but it being linked to the last memory he has of his wife and regaining some sense of sanity is a punch in the feels. Now excuse me while I grab some tissues. ;_; ;_; ;_;

What makes this even more impactful is that we've obviously seen in the pilot the negative effects of a player coming into physical contact with an abstracted being.

The fact that Kinger was actually even able to touch his dear wife at all in their final moments together before she was sent to the cellar 💔
