Wow I guess we're here now
Anyway
Hello Outer(?) and Baron. What are you up to? (and how do you feel about the sudden intrusion)
Finding yourself back in the Doodlesphere, 'Outer' nods at you as a greeting.
"'sup. name's miksa. baron and i weren't really doing anything."
Tumblr media
"as for my feelings about the intrusion..."
He shrugs.
"i don't really mind it, sometimes maxime's ink-tics are pretty funny."
Despite trying his best, you notice him struggling to stop himself from laughing at his own bad pun.

Art Nouveau stained-glass windows made by Miksa Roth in 1903 for the Villa of Ignác Alpár in Budapest. These are copies of the originals that are still in the mansion that is now a privately owned children's home.

I kinda understand the ackerman power disappearing since it is said they're a byproduct of titan science so I took it as that their enhanced abilities comes from titan power (they awaken similarly to titan shifters with the electric shock thing) so when the source went away their powers did too it makes sense to me
My issue how come ymir cant control them when we saw she' able to call them to the paths like other eldians that's where the plot hole for me is
Yeah, that's true. If their powers come from dabbling in the source of a titan's power, meaning the Founding Titan's power, then it would make sense that their powers would disappear if they found their root in her power. It's just the whole thing with her not being able to control them in general that I think is kind of a contradiction, and that includes being able to call them to the paths, yes. I suppose maybe there's a delineation between where Ymir's power ends and the Ackerman's power's start, being that it's rooted in science, rather than magic, and maybe it just uses some of the same properties that Ymir's power comes from, but there isn't a direct line between them. I don't know, lol. I suppose Ymir being able to call them to the paths could make sense in the fact that the Ackerman's are also Eldian, and so they're still connected through the paths to every, other Eldian in terms of sharing the same, racial makeup. No other Eldian is born with any special powers, other than being able to turn into titans, which isn't really so much a power as it is a curse. Titan shifters have to be able to eat another Titan shifter in order to gain those powers. They're not embedded into their genetic code, the way they are with Ackerman's. It's just weird, because Ackerman's can't be turned into titans, and their minds and memories can't be controlled or altered, which suggests that Ymir has no power over them. That just always suggested to me that their power wasn't directly linked to hers. But I guess it is, lol. Again, though, where the separation comes in, in terms of her not being able to control them, must come from some sort of engineered difference in their genetic code from the rest of the Eldians, I assume from however they were engineered using Titan science.
On top of that, other than sharing the knowledge of past Ackerman's, there's no other similarity in an Ackerman's power and in the power of the various Titan shifters. Titan shifters, for example, don't seem to gain any sort of special knowledge about how to use their powers upon awakening, the way Ackerman's do. It seems to me they more gain the memories of past titan shifters, whereas Ackerman's don't seem to share any memories with past Ackerman's, other than, again, an instinctual knowledge about how to fight. There's no indication, for example, that Levi or Kenny or Mikasa remember the lives of past Ackerman's, or carry their emotions, the way Titan shifters do with past shifters. And then, Ackerman's don't posses the ability to heal instantly from any wound the way titans do, or even to heal permanently at all. Maybe they have enhanced healing abilities, but it doesn't even seem so. For example, Miksas's scar from Eren attacking her at the beginning never fully goes away. Levi is out for a significant amount of time from him hurting his ankle during the Female Titan arc, and Kenny succumbs to the wound Levi inflicted on him during the Uprising arc, along with, I'm guessing, being crushed under the weight of the collapsing cavern. So, yeah, Ackerman's don't seem to have any sort of special healing powers the way Titans do, either.
It's all just very vague and undefined, haha.
