Backstory . . .

Midori Shingaki (formerly Midori Tamura) is the daughter of Tamako Shingaki. After her mother's divorce with her father when she was barely three years old, she had no surname for a long time. This caused issues with her school admissions and government documents. But Tamako didn't feel confident in using her maiden surname as it wasn't the norm.

When Midori grew up and started to understand her past and the world around her, she took the initiative to take her mother's surname instead. Her mother is originally from Okinawa but came to Tokyo for job and exposure, where she met her ex-husband. Midori and Tamako never had enough money to go back to her hometown.

Tamako developed complications during the pregnancy which made her permanently disabled from the bottom down. She previously also had a chronic illness which flared up due to stress from her toxic marriage and the eventual divorce. She is a single mother and had to take care of her baby daughter, herself, the home and the finances all by herself.

Ages: 7-18 . . .

When Midori was 7, she got to know that her father still continues to harass her mother. Tamako never let Midori know about her dad and so she stays clueless. But ignorance is not always bliss, she lived in constant fear of stalking and harrasment. She could barely sleep at night without her pet spider plushie.

In a fit of rage and frustration one day, she ran away from home; in the hopes she'd get peace somewhere else. That is the day her life changed, for the better at least.

Midori came across a dojo. Where an old man taught martial arts to kids from ages 4-17. She didn't know which one it was, she didn't care. All she saw was an opportunity to get stronger. She really wanted to learn how to fight, to protect her mom and to feel stronger than the very man who made her feel weak and small.

For the longest time she would secretly witness the lessons, practice when no one was looking. And she was good at it, was a fast learner too. Soon she got a hang of it and it started becoming something fun. It was no longer driven by rage and spite but fun and happiness. She found her calling.

But one day a guy with gelled spiked hair caught her. He was so much taller than her. He didn't seem mad though, just confused. So he brought her to the main hall, somewhere she only observed from the sidelines. Now she stood in front of everyone.

When asked, she reveals what all she had been doing. She was an honest child. But the dojo master isn't even mad. He is impressed.

Midori begs him to not tell her mom. When he asks, she almost cries and says her mom doesn't have money and she'd be very sad if she finds out she can't pay for something she really wanted.

So he says that if she wins a fight against this dude called Baji, he would take her in. for free. and she does, she wins. The old man is so impressed by her, he pets her head, smiles and practically makes her family.

But Grandpa Sano isn't the only one, she finds siblings in Shinichiro, Emma and Mikey as well.

Mikey and her are best friends, for the longest time. They are inseparable, yin and yang, incomplete without one another, the bond is greater than even those shared by siblings. Naturally, when toman is formed, she is also a founding member.

During TOMAN she is almost at par with Draken in terms of hierarchy and thus very close to Mikey. Somehow Midori always reads through him, and so does he. This plays an important role later on.

She becomes an orphan at the age of 14. Her mom's bosy couldn't handle the co-morbidity anymore. They lived in a rented apartment after the divorce. Midori had no way to pay rent anymore and thus has a few days before she becomes completely homeless.

That's when Draken takes her in. He talks to his old man (the brothel owner) as he likes to call him, and let's her stay with him. They become roommates. Two separate beds, separated by a night stand, and a room of their own. It's spacious, thankfully.

V1. Bonten

She loses everything she had. But although she is sad, she feels free. Nothing else to lose...

Or so she thought.

Because in a couple of years she loses the only family she'd known;

Shinichiro died

Emma dies

Mikey disbands TOMAN

Everyone goes their separates ways

Midori's life is a mess

Draken eventually takes the stance to be away from gang life, but she can't do that. Fighting is all she has ever known. And leaving Mikey alone is just not possible. She needs him, Mikey needs her.

In the bonten timeline, Mikey keeps her close to him. It's almost like a toxic queer platonic relationship. He needs her. She keeps him alive. And she needs him, as if he was her emotional support human.

It's too much for Midori. But maybe for old time's sake, maybe because of the bond they shared or maybe because of extreme concern and too much kindness she holds, she stays with him. They are deeply codependent on each other.

And eventually, when things get too much for both of them and neither can take it anymore, in a twisted form of love... they kill themselves and die in each other's arms.

V2. Draken

This is the AU where Emma doesn't die. Midori is very stressed. She is gonna be 18 in 3 years, she can't possibly live in a brothel her entire life. She wants to be independent, and have a home to call her own. Since Draken and her are roommates they talk about this almost everyday but neither have the money to buy anything.

So they both work for years, tirelessly; saving every penny that they can. Working multiple jobs. And eventually, by the age of 19, they make enough money to buy a house on EMI. It's a very small apartment, almost a studio like. And they pay the money in installments till they call it their own. It's a one bedroom apartment, nothing they aren't used to. But instead of two beds, there is one. Which the two share because they have been dating since they turned 16.

Mikey gives SS motors to Draken as it had been his dream job where he works with his girlfriend and Inui.

He swiftly pulls his bag onto his shoulder.

He carefully steps closer to Donnie, putting his hands firmly on his shoulders.

Like with Moriko, he tries to let his Chi flow into Donnie. It's harder this time- though he's not sure if that's because Donnie is more stuck in the hivemind right now than Moriko was, or if it's because he's already used his Chi to purge the Kraang twice now and is getting tired. Or possibly both?

on this blog you can ask things to any three cheers for sweet revenge, the black parade, or danger days characters, BUT with a twist! this is based on my au :D

how the au works:

the demolition woman is Illi Mcmillin

the demolition man is Phillip Lero (inoverse/my au frank iero)

the realm of the black parade is called the paper kingdom and it is an in between of heaven and hell in the afterlife, its a place for people who dont fit into the category of good or bad

when illi died in the gunfight she went to the paper kingdom

Illi and Milli (inoverse/my au mikey) are both vampires

Phillip is a border collie therian, not entirely important to the au but i love that hc so i put it here <3

helena is the mcmillin siblings mother and also a vampire (my ass had no idea how to fit this DIVA in the au so I just went with her being their mother lmao)

since the members of the black parade (band) are unnamed, i call them by what their place in the band is (ex: gerard = parade leader, vocalist/frontman, ray = lead guitarist, etc (edit!: so I decided to let them have names! If u want u can call them by mcrs names, but the fancy versions (Micheal, Raymond, Franklin, etc))

the reason the parade unamed is bc after being granted their divinity they wanted to keep their past selves out of the picture kinda. but it wasn't mandatory to restrict their real names from being used until draag rose to power on earth after, basically, kidnapping the black parade from the afterlife (LORE DROP 👅👅)

Illi murdered the devil but you can still ask him stuff

not much changed about the fabulous killjoys in this au other than the existence of a funpoison love child so erm.... *embarrassment* (I FEEL CRINGE OKAY 😭😭😭) (im also working on a way to make it were the fab 4 end up being alive or smth but it's confusing so 💔🥀)

I also added my killjoysona (demolition widow, or just widow or demo) to this for shits and giggles lol, she's an alien from Jupiter that crashed onto earth (coincidentally right in front of the killjoys diner) and decided to live their part time, she also has some time to my hesitant alien au, but I'm not gonna add that here (may change my mind idk)
