I guess I hadn’t shown off the little pack axe (paxe?) all finished up.. so here you go! It works really well, the balance of packability and functionality is real good. It chops very well but isn’t hugely cumbersome to toss in your gear bag. I like the balance of weight, too, with the full tang construction. It feels more controllable as opposed to a small hatchet where all the weight is in the head. 4” blade and around 9” overall, 3/16” thick steel. This one is 15.2 oz (431g) finished with the sheath. The goal was to build a small hatchet-style utility tool which would pack more punch than your typical belt knife, but wouldn’t have you hesitating to carry it around all day.
