Love is letting him put his cold hands under your shirt and only complaining a little bit
a @steddielovemonth prompt | 616 words | CW: N/A | Rating: G
--
“I’m freezing,” Eddie whines as they walk through the fairgrounds.
Steve rolls his eyes. He knows this game. It happens every time they go out and do an outside activity for once, no matter if they’re in the thick of summer or dead winter. He spends ages trying to get Eddie to wear proper layers, keeps a blanket and a spare jacket in his car just in case, and yet still finds himself listening to Eddie whine and cry about the chill. “You said you’d be fine,” Steve reminds him, letting out a deep breath.
Eddie huffs and grabs Steve’s arm. “I didn’t think it’d be this cold.”
They’re in the back half of the Fall Festival, where most of the attendants have drifted over to the food and heaters or the rides rather than the mostly closed stalls of the harvest exhibits from earlier in the day. They had just gone to the car for a quick smoke (read: making out in Eddie’s van while the kids made themselves sick on the Gravitron) since Steve’s head can’t take some of the rides and Eddie’s the biggest scaredy cat (but only with fair rides, he argues every time, because apparently there’s a difference). (There is.)
Steve glances around to check the empty fairground and tugs Eddie in close, rubbing his arm. “We could go sit by the heaters?”
“And listen to Ted Wheeler’s take on the midterms?” Eddie scoffs. “I’d rather rot.”
“There are other seats than near Ted Wheeler,” Steve points out.
Eddie’s teeth chatter as he rolls his eyes. “You can never be too far away from Ted Wheeler.”
“Why are we saying his name like he’s the boogeyman?” Steve laughs, leaning in close to kiss Eddie’s cheek. “Would hot apple cider warm you up?”
“Only if I can add a little spice to it,” Eddie says, patting his jacket pocket.
Steve grins, his own cheeks straining with the cold. “You’re on.”
They’re not quick to make their way toward the food stalls, even with the chill in the air. Steve will be the first to admit it’s colder than he anticipated, despite checking the temperature forecast at least three times before they left. Even he’s cold, bundled up in his sweatshirt and jacket as he is. He keeps his hands in his pockets, letting Eddie hang from his arm even though they could probably get away with holding hands right now.
“Fuck,” Eddie says, fully shivering. “How much longer are we here for, anyway?”
“Till the kids run out of money or Mike loses the bet he made with Max about puking,” Steve says. “Whichever comes first.”
They’re near the bustle of fairgoers when Eddie stops and pulls Steve behind an empty stall. “I can’t take it anymore,” he grumbles as he tugs at the hem of Steve’s sweatshirt and shoves his hands onto Steve’s bare stomach.
Steve hisses, a shiver running through him as Eddie melts against him. “Are you serious right now?”
“Shut up, you love me,” Eddie mumbles from where he’s hidden away against Steve’s shoulder and behind the curtain of hair.
“Really reconsidering that right now,” he huffs. “You do realize I’m cold too, right? And your icicle fingers aren’t helping.”
“But you’re my personal furnace,” Eddie says, shifting to kiss the corner of Steve’s mouth. He’s got the biggest puppy eyes and pout on, a dagger to Steve’s chest.
Steve wraps his arms around Eddie and pulls him deeper into the shadows, curling into him just as much. “You’re an asshole,” he mumbles, but it sounds a hell of a lot like I love you.
Eddie just laughs, cold nose pressing against Steve’s skin. I love you, too.

If I Should Stay
Part 1 | . . . | Part 52 | Part 53 | Part 54
After everyone’s finished eating and the dishes are washed, Steve calls the rest of the Party.
They assemble at his house within the hour, and he has the dubious honor of standing in front of them with Robin as they go over the plan one last time.
It’s determined there will be three groups: the ones who stay above, the ones who cause a distraction in the Upside Down, and the ones who go in for the killing blow.
El, Will, Barb, and Jonathan stay above. Eddie, Dustin, Lucas, and Mike are named the Distraction Team, leaving Steve, Alli, Nancy, and Robin to walk into the belly of the beast.
Or it would, if Steve hadn’t forgotten about the adults. “You weren’t here last time!” He tries to defend himself.
Wayne volunteers himself to stay with the Distraction Team, and no one thinks to challenge him. “Hopper, you stay above,” Steve pleads. “And Joyce-”
“I’m a damn good shot,” she nods, fire in her eyes. “And he made this personal.”
Steve smiles hopefully. “That’s what I’d hoped you’d say.”
“Well,” Wayne says, checking his shotgun. “What’re we waitin’ for? Him t’be ready?”
“Maybe we could wait five minutes,” Eddie murmurs to his uncle, catching Steve’s eye.
Wayne looks Steve over, then nods and jerks his chin off to the side. “Hop to it, then.”
“Steve? A minute?” Eddie asks, but Steve’s already moving.
They make their way down a hallway and into an empty room, and once the door is shut, Steve stares at Eddie. “Well?”
“Well,” Eddie parrots, chuckling nervously. “I never thought anything like this would happen. And I don’t mean…” he waves his hand off to the side, encompassing everyone waiting in the living room. “I always knew I was gonna die in an unbelievable way.”
“Don’t-” Steve starts harshly, then shakes his head and turns away. “Please,” he says softer. “Don’t.”
“I’m sorry,” Eddie murmurs. “Bad phrasing. I don’t think I’m going to die. I don’t plan on it. In fact I’d rather like to live and see where this goes, since this is what I never saw coming.” He takes a small step forward. Two. Holds his hands out. “You and me. What are the odds, really?”
Steve chuckles, lets himself take Eddie’s hands. “You’re better at the math than I am.”
“Well then, I’ll tell you the odds: next to impossible. Yet somehow you saw me, decided you wanted me, and really, who am I to defy that? Who am I to not let myself have the one thing I never thought I could?”
“You’re talking circles around me,” Steve admits. “I think I get the gist of what you’re saying, but I’m confused.”
Eddie giggles. “It’s alright, I confused myself. Let me lay it out, as plainly as I can: I never thought I’d get to have this. You. But I do. And I’m going to do whatever I can to make sure we all make it out of this intact.” He gently tugs Steve’s hands, leading him closer. “And I really wanted to kiss you again. Just in case.”
Steve grins, rolls his eyes, and cups Eddie’s face. “Why didn’t you just say so?” He asks, and kisses Eddie soundly.
When they pull apart, Eddie blinks a few times before breaking out into a grin. “Damn. I’d tell you to kiss Vecna like that, and he’d do whatever you want, but then I’d have to kill him anyways.”
Steve makes a face. “That’s an image I never wanted in my head, thanks so much.”
Eddie giggles. “Can I make it up to you?” He murmurs, pushing closer in another kiss, softer and slower, less a goodbye than a thousand beginnings at once.
When they pull apart the second time, Steve looks at him for a solid minute before tearing his gaze and hands away. “Okay,” he says, blushing high in his cheeks. Even his ears feel red. “We’d better go before I get started on that dessert I mentioned earlier.”
Eddie’s silenced for a moment. “I mean,” he starts, “I wouldn’t be opposed.”
Steve grins. “After,” he says. “Extra incentive.”
“Y-yeah, okay,” Eddie nods, and follows Steve out to the living room.
His uncle immediately fastens him with a look, and he responds by shrugging and nudging their shoulders together when he sits down next to him. “After,” he murmurs in explanation. He feels a little cowed by the amount of afters he’s amassing, but it’s comforting, all the same: it means there will be an after for him, when everything is said and done.

Imagine Will going home after the first confession/make-out and immediately getting off alone. See, while Will had frequently gotten off while fantasizing about Mike in the past, this is the very first time he gets off with the thought “oh my god, this could actually happen. Mike and I having sex someday, that could be real”. Plus he now knows more things that elevate his fantasy. How Mike kisses, how he grips his hips, how he sounds when Will kisses his jaw and neck, etc. Safe to say Will does not last long.
Being the person that he was, Will was in the unique position of knowing what it was like to experience the feeling "if I disappeared right now...," though, not as happily as he could ascribe to his current state. More than a feeling. Here and gone. Been there, done that.
If the worst should happen and he disappeared again, if the ground opened and swallowed him up, if another gate split time and space and whisked him away - in that exact moment as he walked through the bedroom door after the best night of his life - he'd do so with a smile on his face. Didn't mean he wanted it to happen. Having now known what it was like to kiss Mike Wheeler, oh what a waste it would be.
What a revelation. It was like coming back to life all over again - another cliche experience of which he had personal knowledge. He was pretty sure his heart had stopped several times tonight. When he - when, he and Mike -
He'd kissed Mike Wheeler. Mike had kissed him. A lot. Quite a lot.
Please, let him live, actually. Forget all that darkness. He wanted to stay right there. Solid ground. Boring and wonderful planet earth. Linear and spinning. The cruelty of giving him everything he'd every wanted and then losing it? Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all?
No thanks. He'd rather not have known then, if this was lose-able, if this would get snatched away.
The burden of knowledge.
Please, let me keep him.
They'd kissed once before, days ago. Danger. A fight. More danger, imminent danger. More fighting, and then stillness. A kiss. A confession. Too much danger for those so young, for anyone, really. And - now. Time. Calm before some storm. A chance to talk and slow down and smile into each other's mouths and and and. Kiss. For the sake of kissing, not to seal the truth into each other's anxiety corroded skin when faced with the possibility of this was it. Now or never.
They were getting closer to hope. To normal. It was going to get bad again. But, they existed suspended in the still of a moment.
Try to be normal. As normal as it can be when you're in love with your best friend and he knows that now. A secret unspooled. No longer restricting and suffocating like vines around limb. The strength to fight.
His room was dark and Will didn't bother with the light. He closed the door behind him and let out a long, contented sigh. Still smiling. His face almost hurt from the constant strain, though it could never hurt him. The solid ground was more like clouds, feet so light they stumbled as he approached the bed.
He couldn't concentrate on one foot in front of the other when his mind was a haze of Mike Mike Mike. His kisses. And everything more.
Will fell back onto the bed in the room he'd been staying in temporarily at the farm. Ever since returning to his town, he was a boy in limbo. He'd bounced from Mike's floor to his bed to the couch in his basement, to a cot at the radio station, and now to a spare room at their latest residence. At least he got a space to himself for once, with privacy. Sharing with Mike had been lovely and terrible and exciting and agonizing. A head spin, a constant mind fuck. Tense and soft and tense again. Close quarters, a team! But often - too far away.
He regretted it now, knowing what he knew, how Mike felt for him. And how he'd felt for him for quite some time. He regretted them not getting their shit together in time to take advantage of a bedroom and a locked door and a bed big enough for two. Big enough for two seventeen year old boys to lay side by side (and on top and behind and under and and and - he had to stop. A jolt ran down his body, hooked under his stomach. Twitching under his jeans. The images in his head - enough, Will. Enough.)
Didn't matter. He couldn't change time, force a path not ready to be tread. That hadn't been their journey. They liked each other. Maybe even loved each other. Will was so in love it made him sick from it most days - Mike hadn't said he loved him, didn't have to. He'd felt it. Still wanted to hear it. In time - the thing he couldn't force to move faster or slower, backwards or forwards. Where time stood still he didn't want to re-visit. Figured he would again. Inevitable. The threat loomed, ever present. A steady imprint on his roller coaster reality.
Ever present like the phantom feeling against his lips.
Mike's lips. His mouth, Mike's mouth. Will shifted in his too-narrow bed and kicked off his sneakers and pulled off his coat, brought a finger to his lips. Traced the shape of them, traveled the sloping curve. Less than an hour ago he'd had his mouth pressed to Mike's over and over and over and over. Teeth nipping at reddened skin. A tongue, cautious, testing, then sure, tracing slick lips and slipping into wet heat. The tingle of how it felt when they touched. Seemed weird to him before he'd tried it, even if he'd thought about what that would be like over and over.
He kissed the spiraling ring of forefinger and thumb as he brought his fist to his mouth, kissing his own skin. Inadequate. Couldn't get away with doing that anymore as he'd often practiced and fantasized, didn't feel like Mike's soft lips and hot tongue. Didn't taste like him, just nothing but his own skin.
Gosh, was that another revelation, learning how Mike tasted. Couldn't describe it, but he wanted more. Sweet but strange, skin and saliva and the hint of his own fruit flavored gum mixing with Mike's 7up and popcorn. They'd been hanging out in Mike's basement - a night of normalcy until the next disaster. He'd wanted to stay over. Mom insisted on him coming home. School night. As if that mattered anymore.
The world could end. He needed Mike. Needed to taste him again.
Will turned into his pillow and kissed the fabric, lips soft and slow as he allowed himself to moan into the scratch of threadbare cotton as he relived a memory. Guess he could go back in time. Freeze it. Repeat it. Kiss the pillowcase like he kissed Mike. He hadn't known what he was doing. Didn't seem like Mike knew either. Sloppy and inexperienced and so, so eager. Mike had said not to feel nervous, he'd never kissed anyone like that before either.
He hated himself a little for it, but Will couldn't help but feel excited about that truth. Being the only one to go further, to get Mike in a way no one else had, in a way someone else hadn't. He'd wallow in the guilt later. Now, he relived it. Kissed and kissed and continued where he wished they had before they parted with great reluctance.
It had been wet and open and messy and full of love. The heady adventure of inexperience and need. Heat and teeth. Breath through nostrils and mouths re-sealed. Hands grabbing at t-shirts and then bare skin, hands under clothing.
He was definitely hard now, all from making out with his pillow and trying to conjure the phantom flavor that was all but gone at that point. He ran his tongue over his teeth once more, over his lips, and frowned when he only tasted himself. His hips thrust forward into nothing and he couldn't take it.
Will's hand flew to his zipper, hesitated a moment as his fingers trailed up the body-heat warmed metal, then relented and pulled the teeth of the zipper down and apart slowly. He brushed a hand against the parted gap in his pants, petting over-top the underwear covering soft hair and the base of his dick, smiling dazed at the teasing relief. Mike hadn't touched him there. They'd only kissed - well. Not quite true.
They may have gotten a little carried away.
He'd only been pining over the boy for the bulk of his young life, all of the parts that mattered, anyway. Before Mike and After Mike. The after was love and longing. The after now, having kissed him and told him how he felt and come out on the other side alive, in the true After - he knew too much. Felt enough to make him burn.
Hands sliding under his shirt, too gentle against his skin, against the scar tissue of a burn mark on his side and then felt all too good as those same gentle, huge hands gripped his waist and hauled him into an eager lap. Thighs around thighs. Ass on knees, then raised as he followed Mike to fall back against the couch, bodies flush. Hips slotted together, hot and hard and unacknowledged save for the sudden, jarring sound of a moan. Mike had groaned low in his throat, and shuddered over how it felt against Will's tongue. High and breathy a moment later as Will pulled away to press his mouth and teeth against the side of Mike's neck as their hips rolled and then slowed.
Too much, all too much. Pulling away with a heavy, rapid heartbeat. Slower, drier kisses. And Will's hand now, shoved down his pants, tight between his sweaty skin and the taut fabric of his jeans and briefs. Pent up. No relief despite skin on skin.
Will pulled his pants off the rest of the way. Tan and tight - chosen on purpose for his date (it had been a date, a date, a date!) He knew how his ass looked in them. Mike noticed, too. Felt it up for only a moment as they'd sat thigh over thigh, chest to chest. Cock to cock, too, when he admitted what they'd done. Will's hand stroked himself tight at the thought.
He'd felt Mike against him for only for a moment, but it had been enough for Will now to moan softly into the pillow again as his hand pulled at his cock, slow and too dry. Didn't care. Wasn't the point. He was traversing a memory, using sensation to slow time, speed it up, imagine what could happen if they both hadn't gotten too nervous.
Mike had been hard. Mike didn't just like him, want to be with him, want to kiss him - he wanted him. He wanted to do things with him. His body liked it, liked him. Wanted to fuck him, whatever that really meant - and fuck, wasn't that a revelation all in itself? The way Mike's hands had felt on his waist. A perfect resting spot, made to hold him like that. Will turned onto his back and spread his legs, splayed and vulnerable as he jerked off, slicker now as he leaked all over himself. Still not perfect, but good enough.
He knew how it would go, how he wanted it. Was that how Mike would want it, when they finally did get brave, find courage, have sex? Will, like this, like they'd been on the couch, with his legs wrapped around Mike as Mike's big hands held his waist, his hips, drove into him and guided him in time with his thrusts.
How would time feel as they made love? Too fast or too slow? Would it freeze? Would it matter? Will's hand sped up. Back arched, neck twisted as he writhed from the pleasure of it all, memory and hand and phantom kisses, cheek against the damp spot on his pillow where he'd mouthed and pretended he could taste Mike instead of the bitter flavor of the old pillowcase, fabric and old sweat and traces of shampoo and his own plain spit.
It was over suddenly, as words echoed around his brain. His orgasm caught him off guard as he conjured the ghost of Mike's mouth on his mouth, the bashful roll of his hips, and the sound of his groan and pretty words against his teeth.
"I like you so much, Will. So much. Could kiss you forever."
And Will had to live now, they both did. There was so much more he wanted to do, a door flung open, unleashing desires stashed inside a lifetime of want.
Will removed his sticky hand from his softening cock and rested his fingers in the mess on his stomach, tracing through pearly white patterns as it dripped into his navel and slid down his side. Unbothered. Out of breath. Smiling in disbelief that Mike was his, and he was Mike's.
He brought his clean hand to his mouth, curled a fist again, and kissed Mike good night. Mouthed his love into his own skin. Wondered if Mike was doing the same in his own bed, thinking of Will and how they couldn't lose each other again. Wanting. Knowing he could be getting it all, within reach.
No disappearing. Solid ground. They were going to make it.
Will had gotten a taste. Wanted more. A lifetime of thinking about never. Real was better. Real was kissing Mike forever. And everything else.
~❤️

Part 4
Robin wouldn’t call the walk home pleasant, but it did give her time to think. Time to second guess everything she had done. Time to rehearse the conversation she was going to have with Steve over the phone. And then time to remember he’d be with Eddie tonight and with any luck, putting the moves on him.
When she got home, she dialed halfway and stopped about three times before calling anyway. When Steve picked up, he was breathing a little hard.
“Please tell me I just interrupted you and Eddie running a marathon”, Robin groaned as she fell back against her bed.
“You knew what might be happening when you called. By the way why are you calling? Your date with Nancy finished already?”
“Oh we’re finished alright.”
“That doesn’t sound good. What happened?”
“Are you sure it’s more important than Eddie’s blue balls right now?”
“Robin you’re way more important than Eddie’s balls.”
“Hey! I heard that Harrington!
“She’s more important than your dick too!”
Robin felt her bottom lip quiver a little. “Steve, you have no idea how much that means to me.”
“I mean it. If you wanna talk I can send Eddie home and you can come. Or I’ll go to you.”
“Your courting suitor won’t mind being booted?”
It took a moment for Steve to answer and Robin worried that she might actually be getting on Eddie’s bad side.
“No, I don’t think he’ll mind”, Steve said. “I’m like....85% sure he’s super into me and will let me get away with anything.”
Robin felt a bit of weight lift off her shoulders. Sounded like things had gone well for them tonight. “We can talk tomorrow. You know, when he’s not humping your leg.”
“First thing in the morning”, Steve promised. “Good night.”
“Night, Steve.”
That left Robin to wallow. Or rather to let her thoughts race one right after the other. And she didn’t want to forget when her brain made a particularly good point so she wrote them all down.
When Steve came over to her house the next morning, she had a handful of papers.
“These contain everything that can happen regarding my decision to either forgive her or not, date her or not, or move to Connecticut.”
“You’ve truly covered all the bases”, Steve said, settling in for a long morning.
-----------------------------
Eddie’s first instinct that morning was to find Nancy. Actually, it was to kiss Steve all over his body (the inner elbow was an oft-ignored area) but since Steve was busy, he figured he’d seek out Nancy and figure out what happened.
Something went wrong and he felt partially to blame for it. He was the one who switched up the plan.
Not wanting to cross paths with Ted Wheeler or get held up by Mike, Eddie climbed his way to Nancy’s window and tapped. Her window thrust open and she let out a sigh.
“I thought you were Steve.”
“Good morning to you too, sunshine-whoa.” Eddie paused when he got two feet on the floor, seeing an array of papers on Nancy’s bed.
Nancy turned her gaze to the mess on her bed. “I know how it looks-”
“It looks like you spent all night working on college essay when you should’ve been making out with Buckley.”
“They’re not ess-did you and Steve make out last night?”
“Mmm, and then some”, Eddie smiled dreamily at the memory.
“Unbelievable”, Nancy began to pace around. “So you just bypassed all the awkwardness, whether he’s gay or not, and any sort of history you two had and went right to jumping his bones?”
“You did say those would all be miniscule obstacles. And you were right!”, Eddie threw his hands up. “And you’re not celebrating with me. What happened last night?”
Nancy sat on her bed, right on top of the papers. “I mean how can I have baggage with someone I never even dated?”
Slowly, Eddie sat down next to her, waiting for her to continue.
“Last night, Robin asked why me and Steve broke up. And apparently, my answer painted me as an unfeeling, manipulative bitch and she walked out on our date.”
“Robin didn’t say that?”, Eddie’s brow furrowed.
“No, no of course she didn’t but I’m pretty good at reading between the lines.”
“Or projecting and putting words into people’s mouths.”
“It doesn’t matter. This was a stupid idea”, Nancy got up and started balling the paper up.
“Hey hey what’re all these anyway? If they’re not essays what were you doing last night?”
“They’re....”, Nancy took a breath. “They’re scenarios, okay? I decided to take a page out of your book and jot down what might happen. If I apologize to Steve, maybe we can fully mend our friendship, Robin will give me a second chance. Or I’ll apologize, Robin forgives me but still doesn’t want to date me. Or like a bunch of...other ideas...”
“This one just says ‘move to Paris’.”
“Oh like you’ve never thought of moving somewhere and changing your identity.”
“This seems like an....extreme reaction to one bad date.”
“It wasn’t just one bad date. This is...it’s something major.”
“You care about Robin that much, huh?”
“And Steve!”
Eddie’s eyes widened at that.
“I care about him. I know that might be hard to believe but I never meant to hurt him back then. And there was just never a good time to explain everything that I had been feeling, every choice that I made and-what are you doing?”, Nancy asked when Eddie stood up from the bed.
“Hold that thought.” He grabbed Nancy’s phone off the hook and dialed a number. “Hello Mrs. Buckley, is Robin there? Yes, and I’m sure Steve Harrington is with her? Of course. Thank you.”
Nancy went over to him, eyes wide. “What are you doing?!”, she asked again with more urgency.
“Don’t be rude, I’m on the phone”, Eddie said before giving said device his full attention. Steve must’ve answered because Eddie said “Hey baby” in a way that made Nancy feel like she shouldn’t be listening.
She stood there helplessly while Eddie spoke on the phone.
“What’re you two peapods up to? ....Really? What a coincidence me and Big Wheel are doin’ the same...Yeah?... Sounds perfect?... Say, in an hour?..Gotcha.” While Eddie talked, he ignored all of Nancy’s questioning facial expressions which were all incredibly emotive.
“Oh! I almost forgot. I remembered what I was trying to say last night. You and Robin are the otters, but you and and Nancy are the hermit crabs.”
“Eddie what the fuck?”, Nancy whispered in a hiss.
Eddie turned towards the wall as his voice got a little deeper. “Oh yeah?..Would you like that baby? OW! Okay Nancy!”, Eddie exclaimed when she hit him with an encyclopedia. “Bye, see you at the place. Mwahmwahmwah”, Eddie kissed the receiver of the phone both to fluster Steve and to annoy Nancy more.
“God you’re worse than Mike.”
“You mean better, right?”
“What the hell was that call about?”
“The four of us are gonna sit down and have a little parley.”
Nancy was regretting putting this plan into action every minute that passed.
Part 6
I’ve thought about who their fifth person should be that acts as a mediator and I think I’ve come up with the funniest solution but imma keep it to myself until I actually write the next part. And maybe if u guys are good I’ll post steve and eddie’s full night

The One I've Been Waiting For {Part 13 of 13}
Word count: 1.3 K
Summary: Billy Hargrove is just one of the many students you're supposed to help. The last thing you expect from your interaction is that he'll start flirtt with you... Much less that Billy would stir up feelings you'd rather keep hidden. Despite the mutual sentiments that soon enough start to grow, there are a lot of reasons for whatever it is to be left alone, and one of them is your age...
{Stranger Things Masterlist}
A/N: In this story, reader is 5 years older than Billy, who's 18.
•••
Epilogue
You're seated on Billy's lap on the armchair, softly swinging your legs. He's explaining about this new research he'll be participating in his internship. Billy is currently studying whales, and you've never seen him so excited about anything before. He even got you a necklace with a whale's tail pendant.
“And that means I get to bring you when we go whale watching.” He says, pecking your lips. “The Marine Biologist and the veterinarian. We're a perfect match.”
“No shit! Really?” You smile, wrapping your arms around his neck. “That will be amazing.” Kissing him again, you only pull away when the bell rings.
“I'm showering!” Max yells from her bedroom.
“Maxine, aren't you the official door opener?” Billy shouts back.
“Well, since I'm at the top this time, I'll get the door.” You say, pushing yourself up and winking at Billy. Before you even open the door, you know who's on the other side because of the many voices. So you yell at the same time you pull the door open, at the top of your lungs. “YOU'RE ONE DAY EARLY!” You burst out, making them scream like scared, little babies.
“Damn it!” Billy mutters from the inside, and you know you scared him too.
Looking at the kids, you smile. They'll spend two weeks here with Maxine, but you guess they decided to make a surprise and show up earlier. “Come on in.” Stepping aside, you watch as the small army moves inside. Mike is carrying a box, which gets your attention. “What's that about?”
“It's your first-anniversary gift.” Eleven answers as Mike puts it on the couch. “But you can't open until Wednesday.”
“But now I'm curious!” You complain, walking over to the box.
But Lucas and Dustin stand in your way. “Nah, nah. Wednesday only.”
Showing off your tongue, you go back to Billy, sitting on his lap again. “Let's wake up real early and take a peak.” You whisper in his ear.
“Definitely.” He answers, placing a soft kiss on your neck.
You've been married for almost a year now. You and Billy had a simple party, for family and friends only. It was beautiful, and it happened on the beach. And Billy has been a responsible man now, a loving, gentle husband. There were times when he told you that he was scared to be like his father, but you told him then, and you'll keep telling him for as long as he needs, that he isn't.
Some people say that you got married too early, still trying to find flaws in your life. But the truth is that every day with Billy is the best day ever. You do have some arguments, but you never go to sleep before settling things down. Love is the priority, and neither of you will let anything get in the way of that.
But what really matters to you, is how happy Billy is. He tells you that almost every day when you wake up, still in bed. He thanks you for the life you've given him, for your love and patience. He says that he doesn't think he deserves this. But he does.
When Maxine is done showering and comes to the living room, you smile to see how happy she is with the surprise. Life is good now, and it'll only get better.
°°°
Billy's heart is filled with good things. Only good things. He left the past where it belongs. All the anger, the bitterness, the agony... She chased it all away. (Y/N), the light of his life.
“So, Wednesday,” Maxine says, a finger pointing at (Y/N) and her brother. “You two will have an amazing romantic day at that super romantic hotel, and then come back here for your party.”
“And open this huge box!” (Y/N) says, jumping on his lap a little.
“And to open your gift.” Max rolls her eyes. “But until then-”
“Beach. Pretty please.” Dustin asks in a fake begging tone. “I've been daydreaming about his for weeks. Can we just go?”
“Go put on your swimsuits, kids.” (Y/N) is still speaking when they move. Billy caresses her side to get her attention and smiles at her when she looks down at him.
“Why don't we go change as well? There will be a nice sunset today.”
“Mmm.” She raises an eyebrow, a half smile on her lips. “The kids will crowd the house for a few days. And we'll have plenty of time to join them at the beach. Why don't we stay here and enjoy some alone time?”
At this awesome idea, Billy smirks. “It sounds way better than going to the beach with some kids.”
“It sure does, love.”
“I love it when you call me that.” He whispers, his thumb caressing her lower lip. And he does. It melts his heart every damn time. Hearing her use that word referring to him in that soft, honey voice... Drives him crazy.
°°°
“That's precisely why I call you that, love.” Smiling, you stand up. “And you should enjoy some action while you still can. I'm late this month so any day now.” You say, stopping before the box. You were super embarrassed in the beginning when it came to these things, but Billy always made you feel comfortable. “What the hell can this be?”
“You're late.” He says, and you glance at him before looking down at the box again.
“Yeah, that's what I said.”
“You're... Really late.” He repeats and, deciding to leave the box be, for now, you turn towards him.
“... Are you keeping track of my period, Billy Hargrove?” Crossing your arms, you raise an eyebrow.
“Yeah. I drive past the drugstore every day, I'm the one who buys you tampons most of the time, (Y/N) Hargrove.” That makes you blush, and you stick your tongue out at him before walking to the kitchen. “And...” He starts, following you and leaning against the sink as you take a bottle of water. “It's always a party when your period is over. For both of us.” With that stupid smirk on, Billy comes closer, pinning you against the sink.
“Would you keep it down? We have a bunch of kids to be aware of.” You whisper.
“How late are you, babe?”
“I don't know. I don't really keep track of it. I only know it's coming because I have cramps.” Shrugging your shoulders, you look at the fridge, at the calendar. “Mmm... Been a while actually.”
“So.” He mutters, his big hand laying on your stomach. “There's a possibility it won't be coming any time soon.”
“What?” You nervously chuckle, pushing him away when you hear the kids coming. “I don't think so, Billy.”
“Well, we're not always being careful, are we?”
“And whose fault is that?” You ask, hands on your hips.
“Fifty percent mine.” He answers with a smile.
“Billy, forget it. I'm just...” Your voice fades as you take a closer look at the calendar. “...Around two weeks late.”
“Kids!” He yells, startling you. “You gotta walk. I'm taking car one to the drugstore and car two won't fit all of you.”
“What the hell, Billy,” Maxine complains, coming to the kitchen with her army behind her. “What do you need from there? We have the meds box, and it's full.”
“I'm not buying any meds.” He says, as you just watch the scene, arms crossed. “I just need a pregnancy test.” And with that, he's off, leaving you with all of those wide-eyed kids.
“Oh. My. God.” Dustin mutters.
“Holy shit, I can't believe it!” Maxine shouts, and you slide a hand under your shirt, touching your belly.
It's still too early to be sure, but you were never been this late before... And you remember feeling sick a couple of days ago. So maybe, just maybe, there's a tiny, fresh life growing inside you.
“Maybe...” You whisper, a smile taking over your lips at the thought of having a baby with Billy. “Maybe.”

“Have a nice day.”
You watched the couple leave the store with cones in their hands and slid up to the counter to face the pouting Robin.
“What’s wrong with you today? Is it your period?” You whispered the second question, not wanting anyone to overhear.
She just scoffed, “no bozo.” And before any other comment could leave her mouth, a new customer walked up to the counter.
“(Y/n)!” Dustin’s high-pitched voice greeted you.
You immediately rounded the counter and pulled him into a tight hug, swinging your bodies side to side, “Dustin! I’ve missed you so much!”
You pulled away from the embrace, hands resting on Dustin’s shoulders to look him over. He’s only been gone a few months, but he already looks older. His tight curls squished under a new yellow cap with the words Camp Know Where ‘85 with a chunky computer in the middle, the only indication that he went out of town for most of the summer.
Dustin looked away from you and flashed a gap-toothed smile at Robin’s bored expression, “hi.” His voice was high-pitched and cheery, as usual.
“Hi,” was her monotone response.
“I’m Dustin.” “I’m Robin.” You watched their quick introductions.
“Pleasure to meet you. Uh, is- is he here?”
“Is who here?” Robin questioned the boy, but you already knew who he was talking about.
And just before you could answer Dustin’s question, the parlor doors swung at lightspeed, with Steve’s shining happiness making his presence known.
“Henderson!” Steve threw his arms above his head, giving you just a glimpse of his waist. And then when he got more excited at seeing Dustin’s face, he jumped over to him, hands waving above his head and putting his stomach on full display for the store, it made you flush a bit.
With your arms crossed over your chest and hip digging into the cool counter, both you and Robin watched Steve and Dustin do an intricate handshake, one that you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing before this moment.
“You got the job!” Dustin pointed out, something Steve must have mentioned to him.
“I got the job! And all thanks to this gorgeous gal,” Steve walked behind Dustin to then walk behind you and throw his arms over your shoulders and pull you into his chest. “Probably wouldn’t have gotten it, if it wasn’t for her.”
You flicked the back of your hand into his shoulder and threw a scowl his way, “Steve, you showed up when we were filming the mall commercial. Also our actual boss knew that a guy would bring in girls.”
“Yeah, well,” he shrugged his shoulders, “still wouldn’t have gotten the job if it wasn’t for you.”
“So, you’re saying you’re a stalker and obsessed with me?”
“Yes.” His immediate response.
You ignore the “ews” coming from Robin and Dustin as you turn your head to give a kiss to Steve’s jawline, just as obsessed with him.
With a lull in the conversation, Robin spoke up, “how many children are the both of you friends with?”
“Hm, well, there are the boys. Will, obviously, Lucas, Mike, and Dustin, so that’s four. Then we have Max and El, so that is six. Adding you and Eddie, that’ll be eight for me. Nine sometimes because of Steve.” You answered back with sincerity and sarcasm.
A pinch to your arm jolted you away from the counter and you promptly turned to Steve, who was acting like it was a gremlin that touched you rather than the obvious. You just huffed at his game.
“Dustin, why don’t you go sit down and I’ll bring you some ice cream. On the house as your welcome back.” A flashing smile brightened the teen's face at your words.
“Awesome! Thanks (Y/n), you’re the best. Can I get a banana split?”
“Aye aye captain,” a mock salute before you rounded the counter.
Robin hurried to the backroom when you told her to take her fifteen leaving only you and Steve on the floor. You hummed quietly to yourself as you started to build Dustin’s treat and only stopped when noticed Steve standing beside you, right hand resting on the counter with his left hand resting on his hip. You gave him your attention with a slight rise of your brow, a slight question of, “yes?”
“Nothing, just admiring.” He tilted his head and licked his lips before flashing a smile knowing he got your heart racing.
You bit your bottom lip to suppress the giant smile wishing to form and just rolled your eyes before going back to your task, “don’t you want to catch up with your friend?”
“You mean our friend?”
“Yes, our friend, but pretty sure that’s your best friend. You even have a special handshake.”
Steve stepped closer, your elbow brushing his uniform top, and dropped his head to be closer in height, “are you jealous? Of a thirteen-year-old?”
“No.” Your answer was sure and quick as you worked to add the toppings.
You heard the chuckling and without looking at his stupid (pretty) face, you knew he had either a shit-eating grin or one of the annoying smirks that made you want to slap him (you would never though). His arms slid and wrapped tight along your abdomen, a firm and comforting squeeze causing your back to be firmly pressed along Steve’s chest.
“No displays of PDA at work, Harrington. You know the company policy and Buckley’s rules.” You gave two quick taps to his forearm.
He didn’t give any type of response, but as quick as a breeze, he left a kiss on the side of your head before removing his arms and leaving you behind the counter, heading over to Dustin’s booth. You stood frozen for a moment, fully and slowly letting your body and mind catch up to what just happened in those few seconds, and when it did register, your face felt hot.
Once the sundae was crafted you grabbed a spoon and headed over to the corner booth and as you walked closer you could hear bits and pieces of Steve and Dustin’s conversation.
“Hotter than Phoebe Cates? No.” “Mm-hmm.”
“Who’s hotter than Phoebe Cates? Gotta be someone special, she’s a babe.” You placed the treat in front of Dustin and slid beside Steve.
“Oh, just my girlfriend,” Dustin smugly replied as he dug in.
Your eyes widened and you turned your head towards Steve, he just gave a tight-lipped smile.
“Brilliant, too. And she doesn’t even care that my real pearls are still coming in. She says kissing is better without teeth.”
You opened your mouth to say something but closed it when nothing came to mind. Again you just glanced at Steve and saw he held a similar expression at this new information regarding Dustin and his new relationship.
“Well, I’m- I’m proud of you, Dustin. That’s ro- that’s kinda romantic. Right, (Y/n)?” His voice stuttered for your help. “Yeah, yeah. You’re really growing up, Dustin. Gonna be a real chick magnet when you’re older, just know it.” ‘Tone it down a little idiot’
Dustin grinned at both your praises and continued with his food, “so, do you really just get to eat as much of this as you want?”
“Yeah. I mean, sure. It’s not really a good idea for me, though. I gotta keep in shape for the ladies.”
“Oh, and where are these ladies you talk about? I would love to meet them.” You faced Steve head-on with your fist digging into your cheek as your elbow sat on the table.
You saw how Steve’s ears burned red at the tips and how his mouth was opening and closing, only stuttering sounds leaving the void. Dustin was just grinning as he dug his spoon for another scoop of ice cream.
“He’s struck out a few times when you weren’t here,” Robin voiced from a few booths away.
“Oh really?” “She’s cool.”
“Ignore her. She’s not.” Steve responded to both of your statements, “so, where are the other knuckleheads?” His attention was back on Dustin.
The question caused Dustin’s mood to drop a bit, “they ditched me yesterday.” He shoved the plastic spoon into a banana.
Both you and Steve gasped, “no,” Steve replied in disbelief. “My first day back. Can you believe that shit?” “But Will was so excited to see you again, told us himself that morning.” Now you were upset on Dustin’s behalf and upset with Will.
“They’re gonna regret it, though, big time, when they don’t get to share in my glory.” His light was back. “Glory?” Steve looked at you for a second then back to Dustin, “what glory?”
Dustin licked his lips of leftover ice cream, looked around at the pretty empty dining room, and scooted a bit closer to Steve. You and Steve both leaned in closer as well, wanting to know what this glory Dustin was talking about was.
“So, last night we were trying to get in contact with Suzie…”
Steve made a phone gesture and Dustin nodded. “Cute name,” you blurted out. Dustin hummed in agreement.
“And, uh…” he leaned his elbow on the counter and covered his mouth with a hand. He took another glance around the store, customers in seats or booths talking while Robin was at the counter taking orders. Then it seemed that Dustin said something, but it was too low for you to hear a word. Even Steve looked confused, and he was sitting beside Dustin.
“What?” Steve after a moment of processing the nonexistent words.
Dustin clicks his tongue and swipes at his nose, “uh…” he inhaled deeply and once again covered his mouth making his words unintelligible.
“Dude we can’t-“ “Just speak louder.” You and Steve spoke at normal volumes. It seemed to piss Dustin off as he banged his fist on the table and shouted.
“I intercepted a secret Russian communication!”
You sat up straight as all noise died off and heads turned your way. Nervous laughs spilled from your mouth and you threw your hands up, “sorry, my- my friend has bad humor. Please, as you were… please.” You gritted the last word through clenched teeth.
Luckily everyone turned away, a few still eyeing your table, Robin included with her brows raised. You pushed hair away from your face and looked at the boys.
“Dustin, what the hell are you talking about?” “Yeah. What- what does that mean?” The tween rolled his eyes, “it means, Steve, (Y/n), we could be heroes. True American heroes.”
“Huh.” “Mm-hmm?” “No.”
Their eyes turned to you as you shook your head with a scowl. Your nails tapped the counter the longer you thought about Dustin’s words.
“What? You don’t want to be a hero?” Dustin questioned.
Still, you shook your head no. “We’ve done enough ‘heroism’ in the last two years. I’m not getting involved in anything more.” You were putting your foot down.
“Woah, okay, let’s just- what’s the catch?” Steve threw an arm atop the booth behind you.
“No catch, I just need your help.” “With what?”
Dustin grabbed something from his backpack, a book. “Translation,” and when you looked closer it was a Russian-English English-Russian dictionary.
“Do either of you even understand Russian? Cause I don’t. And Steve you barely passed Spanish, which again, isn’t Russian.” Telling the boys the one problem standing in their way. Steve opened his mouth like he was ready to defend himself but closed it and cocked his head in surrender.
“We’ll manage.” Dustin said with an air of confidence.
You just shrugged and left the booth needing to help Robin with the growing crowd.
-
You sat in the food court with your headphones covering your ears as a cassette played music while your eyes focused on your book in hand. Occasionally you would take sips from your soda and scan the crowded dining area.
You tried to distract yourself from earlier with Dustin and Steve. Dustin instantly thinks about being heroes, American heroes, that is, trying to take down Russians. You saw how Steve’s eyes lit up at the idea, of getting some fame and glory. Probably thinking this would show his dad something or just get him off his back, you weren’t sure.
You wanted no part, not even a finger involved in this little idea that’s festering in their brains. The past two years have already been enough, you don’t need to be doing something for the limelight. Even though Russians are a lot better than interdimensional monsters trying to rip you apart. You would like to just put all that behind you and move forward with your relatively good life.
With your eyes so focused on an invisible point, you didn’t notice the person standing before or even waving their hands in front of your eyes until you were given a light push to the shoulder. You blinked a few times and then when you saw the culprit, they blew wide. You thought it was Steve or Robin just annoying and telling you to head back, but instead, someone you completely forgot about stood before you.
You slipped the orange foam coverings off your ears, “Tessa.” You sounded breathless in your ears.
The girl who stole your first kiss stood tall in the loud mall. Her hair lightened and was full of volume and bounce, a shine to her lids and lips while her lashes were curled in black. She wore tiny gold hoops, a few gold necklaces stacked together, and some rings littering her hands. She wore a flowery summer dress that was designed with flowers in white and orange, it stood bold against her dark skin.
She looked as beautiful as ever.
“Hi, (Y/n),” her smile curled around your name, “how have you been? It’s… it’s been a while.” She held her arms behind her with her shoulders pulled back.
‘did it suddenly get hotter?’ ‘were you sweating?’
“Uh… I’m- I’ve been o- okay. Didn’t think you- I thought you didn’t want to be around me?” You leaned forward a bit, trying to keep that line as private as you could in a crowded and loud shopping mall.
Her head dropped and she rolled her lips, you couldn’t help to follow the motion. You looked away and at your lap, it was like she had a magnetic pull on you. You didn’t like it.
“Yeah… kinda shitty of me to just… leave you in the dust. I’m sorry,” you looked up at the apology, “I- I didn’t want my parents to find out… and with the way you acted at school the following day- I knew to keep my distance. For both our sake’s.” She sat down in the empty chair at your table. She put a hand on the table and stretched towards you.
“I was wondering… if there’s any way we could… be friends again? I do miss you, and Will. He was like a second brother to me.” She gave a comforting smile, her eyes shining from the light.
With hesitation, you jerkily move a hand from your lap and set it over hers. It’s been so long since you shared the same bubble.
“I would- I would like to be friends again. But I think… I think it needs to be done slowly. I can’t just- just cannonball back into it. And, I think we should think about it a little, to see if we do.”
She nodded with understanding, she always understood without many words. She patted your hand with her free one before standing up and walking away, a smile threw over her shoulder and she disappeared into the moving crowd.
‘what the hell just happened?’
You didn’t do much reading after that. You just slipped the headphones back on and reset the cassette. You checked your watch and rolled your eyes as you saw you only had five minutes left of your break so you gathered your things and headed back to your ice cream parlor.
Distracted by the beat and lyrics of your music, you, once again, don’t hear the snickers of girls trailing behind you or hear the rapid clicking of heels. When you’re just a foot from the store, a sudden push to your back made you trip over yourself and hit the square linoleum floor.
Your book smacked the floor, your walkman and headphones crashed with a terrible sound, and thankfully, your empty soda cup didn’t spill anything. Your elbows and knees hurt a bit.
The laughs behind you made a scowl paint your face. You pushed yourself off the floor and turned at the commotion and felt yourself freeze up at the main person, but pushed through it.
“What the fuck is your problem, Carol?” You stepped close to her.
She stepped back and bumped into her followers. Her red hair was curled and styled as usual with shorts and a tight shirt as her outfit. Her eyes raked your work uniform and she laughed even harder, hands holding her stomach from pain.
“Oh,” she sighed, “you are so entertaining to watch. That whole thing with Tessa… what would Steve think?” Your shoulders get tense.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” A stiff reply. She continues her snarky giggles. “Oh really? You looked just about ready to ki-“
You shoved her shoulder, hard, making her lackeys hold her for support. You felt the eyes on you but kept yours trained forward.
“How about you mind your fucking business, Carol. Steve and I do, and you’re not a single thought in our heads. Could’ve give a shit what you and Tommy are doing, but from what I’m seeing, you’re still a bunch of jackasses who are pathetic losers that enjoy other's misery.” You hissed the words close to her face before turning away.
You were the bigger person. You weren’t looking for a fight, you just wanted to put her in her place and walk away as she floated away from your thoughts once again. But it was never that easy with mean girls who are looking for a fight.
As your eyes caught the storefront, you saw Steve standing near the entrance with a worried expression. One hand on his hip while the other gripped the doorway, a cleaning rag slung over a shoulder. And then he started moving forward, quickly and you didn’t know why until you felt her claws yank your shoulder and a burning touch spread over your cheek.
Carol just smacked you.
You stood stunned for a second before you leaped towards her and grabbed a fist full of hair and started pulling as she cried like a baby. It didn’t last long, Steve wrapped his arms around your waist, and her friends, with great effort, pried you off her. Steve turned you away from the fight and walked you away as you screamed profanities at her. He went back for your fallen items when you were settled in the back room.
And that’s where you stayed for the next four hours of your shift.
-
“Do you… wanna talk about earlier?” “Nope.” “Okay.”
The constant ringing of the desk bell pulled Robin away and you heaved a sigh with closed eyes, a thank you to the heavens. Your head gave a small thump on the table in the back room, arms limp at your sides.
Dustin was originally in the back room when Steve dragged you through the double doors, the boy's eyes blown open at your seething energy. Then Robin came through the doors and shooed the two out, Steve tried to talk back but Robin shoved him away and told him to man the counter for a few minutes.
Now you were alone and cooled down, knowing you’ll need to tell Steve about earlier, especially Tessa. You hated that you instantly succumbed to her presence, it’s like you unintentionally cheated on Steve. You love Steve too much to withhold those thoughts and feelings that needed to be said.
You heard the swoosh of the doors and footsteps coming your way, two sets. Then you heard the scraping of a chair being pulled out and stuff being set on the table, guessed it was Dustin and the other person was Steve. And even with your head still down, you had a feeling they were communicating through looks and silent gestures.
“(Y/n)? Baby?” Steve’s low voice was right next to you, “are you okay?” His hand rubbed along your spine.
You didn’t want to look into his eyes, cause the second you do it will either be two things; Steve instantly knowing what’s swimming in your thoughts or you crack and start spilling everything. And you don’t want to have that conversation at work.
By the grace of some angels, Robin called for you up front and you shot up from your chair, the legs screeching against the tile. You push through the doors and stand beside Robin, hands on your hips and a sigh out your mouth; you had to withhold the eye roll.
“Hello, Erica. How may we serve you today?” You plastered on a fake sunny smile and your even faker sweet voice.
Erica Sinclair was in the colorful parlor practically every day since summer started. Always comes in with her group of friends and asks for a sample of every flavor. At first, you allowed it cause she was Lucas’s sister, but just after a week, you were over it.
“I would like to try the peppermint stick, but one of your workers won’t allow it.” Her steely eyes set on Robin who had a bored expression on her face.
“Erica, I’m sure you’ve tried peppermint stick plenty of times to know how it tastes. It’s peppermint.” Your customer voice slipping up.
“Yes I have, but I would like to try it again. Are you refusing me service?” Her hands sat on her hips as she cocked her head. You closed your eyes, having to stop another eye-rolling.
“Robin, why don’t you head to the break room.” And she didn’t have to be told twice. Your attention is fully on the head-strong girl.
“Erica, I was very lenient with you at the beginning. But you can’t come here every day and abuse our sample policy, you’re technically robbing us.” You leaned against the counter.
Erica stood her ground, not making a move and you weren’t either. You weren’t in the mood today. When you saw people entering the store and getting in line, your customer service voice perked high. “If you’re not planning on buying any ice cream today, may you please move out of the way so I can attend to the paying customers behind you?”
She stayed in place and you were worried you would have to give in and get a stupid sample of peppermint stick for her. But she rolled her eyes and walked away, you held your chin high at the small win today.
As you helped the last customer in line, you turned around to head through the doors and you could hear the boys and Robin talking. And just as you entered you heard the end of a sentence she was saying, something amazing as Steve and Dustin wooed in awe.
“That was pig Latin, dingus.” And Steve smacked Dustin with his banana peel, “Idiot.” “But I can speak Spanish and French and Italian, and I’ve been in band for twelve years. My ears are little geniuses, trust me.”
Steve looked up your way, arms crossed over your chest as you leaned against the door frame. Your brows were raised, giving him a silent ‘what are you gonna do?’, he eyed Robin with a cautious look as he held the tape recorder.
“Come on, it’s your turn to sling ice cream, my turn to translate. I don’t even want credit. I’m just bored.” She leaned in with her hand held out.
The bell wouldn’t stop dining, but you couldn’t move. You just stared as Steve debated in his head, eyes closed with a pout on his lips as he tilted his head side to side, before sighing and swapping the recorder for the scooper in Robin’s hand. With an eye roll, you pushed through the doors and back to the counter to help with the restless customers. Steve joined a minute later and posted behind the cash register as you scooped the desserts.
You hated this stupid situation. How you were having a good summer and then when Dustin returns, saying he has a Russian message, Steve jumps into the action. And now Robin’s being lumped into the mess, you wanted to kick something. Why can’t these types of things leave you alone, why is there always something happening in Hawkins?
You slipped away from the counter and started to bus tables. Spray bottle and towel keep your hands busy as you let your mind go blank, or at least you think your mind goes blank when in reality you’re scrubbing hard at an invisible spot with a scowl painting your face.
“Everything okay?” Steve’s sneakers entered your eye line. You didn’t bother looking up, “peachy,” you gritted out.
“(Y/n), come on. Look, it's not that big of a deal. It’s just translating.” He huffed and it just made you angrier. You scrubbed harder at the clean table, “I don’t care if it’s just translating, Harrington. I don’t want Robin roped into you and Henderson’s stupid, heroic crap or whatever. Even just something as simple as listening to that tape could have horrible effects and I don’t even want to think about the-”
Steve pulled you into a hug with a hand holding the back of your skull, keeping your face close to his shoulder. He whispered reassurances about how everything was gonna be fine and that the upside down is gone. You wanted to believe his words, but you couldn’t. You pulled away from Steve, dropping the cleaning supplies beside you.
“Uh… can- can I go on a break? I- I think I need some air.” Eyes focused on your dirty sneakers.
Steve’s hands rubbed along your arms before slipping to hold your hands, “yeah. Yeah, I can cover up front.”
You slipped from his touch and rushed out of the loud and crowded mall.
-
After sitting at the entrance for ten minutes, you cooled down enough to head back inside and plow through the rest of your shift. As you shuffled through the crowds of people, there was a strong slam to your chest and it knocked the air from your lungs. A hand came to your chest as you were preparing to tell the person to watch it, but instead, you saw three dipshit kids.
“What the hell are you three doing here?” Daggers pointed at their shocked faces, “You know, Dustin’s at the store right now. Even told me how you guys left him yesterday, he’s been gone for three months.” Fist on your hips.
“Woah, okay, it’s not like that.” Mike spoke up first, “We helped set up his radio tower so we could hear from his ‘girlfriend’.” quotes around the word. “Plus, Mike and El left right away. Max and I, along with Will stayed into the night.” Lucas added.
“Hey! Screw you, man!” “It’s true!”
“Okay!” You held your hands out to stop the arguing boys, “look I don’t care about that. Why don’t you go apologize to your friend while you’re here for… whatever reason. Actually, what is your reason for being here?”
“It’s the mall, why do we need a reason?” Will asked. You watched the three boys, “Cause you’re all up to something. I can tell, and it’s nothing good. Plus where’s Max?” You knew Hopper didn’t allow El to visit the mall, which you thought wasn’t fair, but didn’t comment.
Lucas shrugged his shoulders, “we’re on a break, so she hasn’t called.”
“You mean, you’ve called, but she hasn’t picked up.” Will retorted. Lucas gave him a quick punch to his bicep.
‘stupid boys’
“Whatever. Just stop by the store and talk to Dustin and you all better be home before dark, especially you Will.” You ignored the eye-roll from Mike and gave a quick kiss to Will’s hair as you continued your walk to the store.
Steve was behind the counter serving a couple of girls as you walked over to him. He turned his body towards you, head tilted with a tiny smile. “Feeling better?” “Eh.” He chuckled.
“Oh! Guess who I ran into a few minutes ago.” “Hmm… Daisy Jones?” You shoved his shoulder, “No. Thing one, thing two, and Will. Pretty sure they almost rowed me down when they were running away from something.”
His brows furrowed, “huh.” “What?” He pointed a finger lazily, “Max and El were in here earlier. And then giggled when I asked if El should even be here before they ran out.” You squint your eyes, “huh.”
“(Y/n)!” Robin called your name through the open divider, her elbows on the counter. “We have one sentence translated, The week is long.” She said in a poor Russian accent.
“Oh… great.” You weakly gave thumbs-ups, a strained smile.
-
“The week is long, the silver cat feeds, when blue meets yellow in the west.”
The four of you gathered your belongings and Steve pulled the metal gate down to lock the store, “I mean, it just… it just can’t be right.” “It’s right,” Robin reassured.
“Honestly, I think it’s great news.” “How is this great news?” Steve scoffed, “I mean, so much for being American heroes. It’s total nonsense.”
“It’s not nonsense. It’s too specific. It’s obviously a code.” Dustin argued.
“Great. Feels like I’m in a James Bond movie now. Dealing with Russian codes and shit. Something bad in the plot is gonna happen and we’ll all be in deep shit.” Hands flared in the air at your dramatics. Robin and Dustin just shook their heads at your antics while Steve grabbed your hand closest to him.
“Yeah, it could be a code or Buckley’s translation skills are just crap.” “No, they’re not, Harrington. It’s correct and obviously, they’ll use codes over radios. They aren’t gonna blatantly say, Fire the warhead at noon. So them saying The silver cat feeds- why would anyone talk like that unless they’re trying to mask the true meaning of their message?”
“Exactly.”
“And why would anyone mask the true meaning of their message unless the message was somehow sensitive?”
“Exactly.”
You stayed quiet and zoned out as Robin and Dustin talked back and forth, also missing the mocking face Steve was pulling at their words. It’s been a long day, you don’t even want to think about Russians invading Hawkins.
“I can’t do evil Russians. I just want one normal year.” You muttered. Only Steve heard you as Dustin and Robin conversed and continued walking.
With your brain on auto-pilot, you didn’t notice Steve’s abrupt stop until there was a sharp yank to your arm making you stumble. Your sneakers squeaked against the tile as you looked at your boyfriend as he dropped your hand to begin patting his pockets as he stared at a horse ride. He pulled his pockets inside out and loose change spilled to the floor, but he just shook his head.
“Steve?” You stepped closer, “what’s-” “Steve, what are you doing?” Robin called to him
“Uh, it’s a quarter. I need- Does anyone have a quarter?” He looked at you and you just shook your head no. He called for Robin and Dustin again and they joined the two of you.
“Sure you’re tall enough for that ride?” Robin jokes. “Quarter!” Steve voiced again and Robin threw in one. He spun as he caught it out of the air. Then he placed the coin in the slot and the golden horse started its gallop as its cheery music followed.
“You need help getting up, little Stevie?” A gentle shove to Robin’s arm was your silent ‘stop it’ and Dustin chuckled at her teasing. Steve just shushed everyone as he was focused heavily on the melody.
“Would you two just shut up and listen?”
They quieted down and continued to listen. You looked between the three of them, Dustin’s face changing as the music played longer. Your brows were creased in confusion.
“I don’t-” “The music!” and Dustin stripped his backpack and pulled the recorder out. He played the tape just as the ride ended.
“I don’t understand.” Robin finished your earlier thought. “It’s the exact same song on the recording,” Dustin answered. “Maybe they have horses like this in Russia,” Robin supplied.
“But it’s called the ‘Indiana Flyer’. I don’t- That wouldn’t make sense.” You inputted. Steve shook his head, “This code, it… didn’t come from Russia. It came from here.” His eyes are on the three of you.
A wave of uneasiness crashed over you.
You scrubbed your hands over your face then carded your fingers through your messy hair, “god dammit.”
-
The car was silent. Just Steve driving the both of you to your house, radio so low it wasn’t even playing music. An elbow propped against the window with your fist digging into your cheek as you stared at the fast-moving trees. Your lips were sealed shut since leaving the mall and saying a meek goodbye to Robin and Dustin.
“Baby?” Steve spoke quietly, a hand on your thigh, “what’s going on in that pretty head of yours?” His thumb rubbing your knee.
You kept quiet, thoughts in space with glazed-over eyes. Russians were in Hawkins. Evil Russians were doing something in Hawkins and now it was basically up to your little group to figure out a code. Why the fuck were you suddenly given the Spider-Man treatment? With great powers must also come great responsibility, the responsibility to fight demons and find hidden Russians.
“Why didn’t Dustin go to Hopper?” Your first words after half an hour. You didn’t turn your head, but you felt Steve’s eyes looking your way and the quick squeeze he gave to your skin.
“Well, you know Dustin. Always ambitious, and he wants to be a hero.” “But this is something that the government should be handling. This isn’t something we can just stick our noses in for fun. It’s Russia for fucks sake-” “We’ve handled Demogorgans, I think we can handle decoding a Russian code.”
The maroon BMW pulled into your driveway, headlights shining bright on your dark house. Jonathan and Joyce’s car was parked so everyone was home and asleep right now. Steve cut the ignition and you instantly grabbed your things and left the car.
“(Y/n)!” Steve shouted before you heard his door slam shut and his fast steps against the gravel. You walked through the front door and headed straight to your room, already knowing Steve is just a few steps behind. You threw your things on the floor, kicked your shoes off and grabbed a pillow from your bed, and turned around just as Steve walked in and closed your door. You started to smack him repeatedly with the pillow in hand.
“Wha- (Y/n)...” “You’re being a dick right now, Steve.” A huff and you stopped hitting him. “Okay, what’s going on? You’ve been off all day.” Steve stepped closer. You dropped your pillow and curled your fingers into claws.
You gripped the hair at your scalp, “everything, Steve! This whole day has been a fucking mess and I feel like no one is listening to me! I- I don’t want to deal with shit like this anymore! I can barely sleep at night, Steve. Nightmares sink into my brain if I were to close my eyes for more than a few minutes. And- And with today… how Dustin mentioned being American heroes- oh I knew you took his simple bait into helping him.”
An empty chuckle fell from your lips as you turned your back to Steve, “and then fucking Tessa Anderson walks up to me in the food court and… and my heart skipped a beat. And I hated myself during our conversation cause I just thought about how beautiful she looked and I stuttered on my words, I- I even said I would be willing to be friends with her again, but I don’t even know if she was part of the whole Carol incident.”
Small tears dropped from your eyes and rolled down your cheeks and off your chin, you turned back to a motionless Steve and his wide eyes.
“Steve… I- I,” you took a step towards him with your hands clasped in front of your face, “please, please know that I love you so much. It was just old feelings, I- I- I’m a fucking idiot and- and I understand if this ends our relationship-”
Your words were cut off by the force of Steve’s lips, his hands holding your face. You unravel your twinged hands and fisted them into the cotton of the scoops uniform that the both of you were still wearing. Your bodies were so close that your feet stumbled as you leaned back to contact as Steve leaned in further.
Steve pulled away first, his hands still holding your cheeks. You chased after him, scared that it was a final kiss, but he gave two quick pecks before moving out of reach. Your eyes blinked a few times before fully focusing on Steve who held such a gentle gaze.
“I love you so fucking much,” he all but sighed out, “and I’ve been a blind idiot all day.” Your eyes squinted and pursed your lips.
“Wha-“ “I wasn’t paying attention closely to how you were feeling or acting. I just brushed it off like it was nothing, that’s shitty of me. At least with the Russian stuff, I mean. The Tessa stuff… I’m glad you told me, I- I mean I knew you would tell me. Cause you mauling at Carol had a reason behind it- other than her slapping you.”
With closed eyes and a sigh, “Steve… I feel like I’m being a shitty girlfriend.” “How so?” Fingertips ghosting over your earlobe.
You licked your lips, “well, firstly, Tessa. I wasn’t gonna leave you for her, never in a million years. But just- the way she made me feel is how you make me feel and you not being the cause made me feel sick.”
Steve nodded at your words, “wanna know something?” You slipped your hands from his shirt to the band of his shorts and you looked into his eyes.
“Last year… when we started to get closer, and Nancy was drifting away from me… you started to make me feel things. My heart would race and my stomach would form knots, and it was because of you. Nancy used to cause that feeling and when it changed to you… I was worried. But then they stopped completely at the sight or even thought of her one night and soon-“ Steve leaned close, “do I consume your thoughts? Every waking moment? Every dream you have at night? Cause you do.”
His voice dropped in octaves, a shiver sprinted over your spine and you released a shaky sigh, “you do. Your smile would flash in quiet moments and sometimes I hear an echo of your laugh. Ninety-nine percent of the time, you fill my thoughts even if I’m with you. And at night, if I’m alone-“ you moved a hand to hold Steve’s neck as you pushed his face towards your shoulder so your lips would brush the shell of his ear, “I imagine your hands touching me. Your palms slide over my arms and stomach, fingers squeezing my thighs or boobs as you trail wet kisses any place you can reach. And when my heart is racing and my bare chest is panting with want, I set my index finger to my collarbone pretending it’s your tongue. And with a teasing pace, I’ll slowly trail it between my lonely breast, passing my belly button, and stop just before-“
Suddenly you were lifted into the air, the world turned upside down. There was a swift smack to your ass and then you bounced against the springs of your bed with Steve hovering over you. He pulled his scoops shirt off in that attractive way boys do, and then his shoes followed before setting a knee on the bed. His fingers tugged at your top so you leaned forward to permit him.
His fingers sunk into your hair as your lips melted together, bodies moving automatically. You bent an arm behind your back and easily unclipped your bra and slipped the straps from your shoulder and flung it away. You let your fingers tangle in Steve’s messy locks as he trailed his lips toward your neck, making you lean it to the side for more access. Your eyes were squeezed shut and your lips were parted as light pants sang into the quiet night. Your grip tightened on Steve’s hair as you gave small tugs, his groans vibrating on your body.
Your nails scratched his scalp as he dipped his head lower, sucking purple bruises along your collarbone followed by the wet trail of his tongue to the valley of your chest. You laid on the bed as Steve moved his hands, his left going to your right boob and his forearm keeping him propped up.
His mouth latched onto your left breast, tongue wetting your nipple until it was hard and you were arching your back. His thumb swiped over your other nipple and it made you sigh from pleasure.
“Steve…” you moaned quietly.
He gave a kiss to the perked nipple before latching to your lips again. Your knees bent on the side of his hips, trying to push him closer.
Steve pulled just a hair away from your open mouth, “I’m gonna show you just how much I love you.”
He kissed your lips, then your neck which followed to your two breasts that he took more attention towards. His left hand slid further down your waist and stopped at your shorts. His mouth set simple, quick pecks over your stomach that was moving with your fast pants.
One more kiss to the skin above your waistband and he set his eyes on you. Propped on your elbows with your head thrown back before jerking at his stopped motions. His brows rose and he did a quick tug on your shorts, you quickly nodded your head. In one pull he took your uniform shorts and underwear off, leaving only your white socks. You pulled your knees closer to your body before Steve crawled over and set his hands on your calves, pulling your legs down a bit and then pushing your thighs open.
“Steve…” Your fingers curled into your sheets as Steve’s pretty brown eyes just stared at you. His chest was bare and displaying his dark mess of hair along with his thick thighs straining against the seam of his shorts.
He laid on his stomach and pressed kisses to the inside of your right knee, his supple lips dragging further up your thigh. The air of his breathing ghosted over where you needed him most.
“Steve-“ A more desperate whine.
“Don’t worry, baby. Just gonna lull you into sweet dreams.” And he gave a lick of his tongue.

a/n: kinda hate this, but it's been ages since I've posted, and this has been sitting in my drafts for a while.
• ──────────────☾────────────── •
One week. I've been in Forks for one week and I've already been roped into attending some kind of late-night social gathering at a beach in La Push by a group of friends I met while working at the local grocery store in town. That would probably be exciting for most people, especially if they're new in town and know absolutely no one, but I don't see it that way. I would much rather be hiding away in my room, curled up under my weighted blanket with a good book and a hot cup of tea, not freezing my ass off at a bonfire on the beach surrounded by strangers. Despite it being late August and technically still summer, the nights are significantly cooler than the days, which aren't very hot themselves. Thankfully it's not raining out. I would have turned down the offer to come had it been anyone other than the sweet, kind-hearted Angela who'd asked. But since I didn't, I'm stuck listening to the annoying, air-headed Mike Newton go on an over-exaggerated tangent about the time got caught sleeping in his math class in high school and received detention for it.
As I try my best to be attentive, I can't help but let my eyes drift around the large group of people that surround the area. It was only supposed to be a small gathering, and that's how it started out, but as it gets later, more and more people show up. I sigh, continuing to scan the crowd until my eyes land on a small group of guys standing nearby. Just by their appearance, I know who they are. Jessica made sure to inform me prior to arriving about the "weird" reservation kids who act like they run the area and would probably show up to stand watch like guard dogs. She and her friends had a lot to say about the four guys, none of it being particularly nice. I don't see the problem, though, because they have kept to themselves the whole time. They speak when spoken to, but other than that, they keep conversation amongst themselves. I find myself intrigued by the reserved strangers.
My gaze lingers a little too long because one of them looks up and our eyes lock. Instantly, a shiver runs down my spine, a sudden rush of warmth replacing the coldness I'm feeling. Something about him draws me in and pulls me towards him, yet I can't find the will to move. He's beautiful, in a boyish kind of way, wearing khaki shorts and a black cut-off T-shirt despite the chilled weather. He's the one to break the impromptu staring contest when one of his friends nudges his side and steals his attention. I'm a little disappointed when his rich brown eyes look away. I watch for a little longer as they share a few hushed words before all of their eyes shift to me. The extra attention forces me to finally divert mine away.
"Hey," I lean closer to speak to Angela, "I'll be back. I'm gonna take a walk down the beach."
"Okay." She nods, "Do you want me to walk with you?"
"No, it's okay. I won't be gone long."
I walk along the shore, kicking rocks until I get far enough away that the loud music and shouting sound like a soft murmur in the distance. I find a washed-up log and sit down, watching the waves crash against the shore before retreating. It's quiet and peaceful. I could probably fall asleep sitting here. The sound of a stick snapping behind me ruins that thought. Turning my head away from the water and towards the forest, I come face-to-face with the handsome boy.
"You shouldn't be wandering around out here by yourself. It's not safe." He speaks as he takes a hesitant step closer to me.
"I could say the same to you."
"Why did you leave your friends?" He asks, coming to take a seat on the log next to me, making sure to leave a little space between us.
"They are hardly my friends." I laugh dryly, staring back out at the water. "I didn't even want to come."
"Then why did you?" I shrug in response, not really having a reasonable answer to give. "I could give you a ride home if you want."
"I don't even know you." I chuckle. "Didn't you just lecture me about it not being safe to wander off out here alone, and now you're offering me a ride home. Talk about stranger danger. This is literally the plot and premise of every teen slasher film."
"It was hardly a lecture. More of a piece of valuable advice." He smiles, offering his hand to shake. "I'm Embry Call."
"Y/N Y/L/N." I reply, grabbing his hand. It's unbelievably warm yet comforting.
"Now we're not strangers. Want to take me up on my offer now?" He asks. "If not, you could always go back and ask that Newton kid to tell you another story to help pass the time."
"I would rather step on a Lego than listen to another one of his stories." I scoff. "But I should let Angela know I'm leaving first."
"Let's go then." He chuckles and stands up, waiting for me to rise to my feet before leading me back to the bonfire.
• ───────────────────────────── •
The drive to my house seems to go by quickly. We make small talk here and there until the conversations eventually fizzle out completely and we fall into a comfortable silence. There's a weird tension that lingers in the air. Not a bad weird, just different. I want to know more about him but he's a little closed off. When we speak, it seems like he wants to let me in, he wants to talk to me, but something is stopping him from getting too deep. Despite that, he makes me feel at ease.
"We're here." he speaks softly, pulling me from my thoughts.
"Oh, okay. Thanks for the ride." I reply, attempting to hide my disappointment with a smile. "And for not killing me." I tack on a joke for further convincing.
"No problem." He laughs as he opens his door to get out. He comes around to my side and opens my door for me, grabbing my hand gently to help me out of the truck. "I'll wait here until you get inside."
"Okay," I nod. "Will I see you around?"
"Maybe." He shrugs.
"Goodnight, Embry."
"Goodnight, Y/N." The way my name rolls off his tongue so soft and smooth sends a gentle shiver running through me. Every thought in my brain vanishes and it's only the sound of his voice playing over and over again like a broken record.
By the time I make it up to my room, I'm smiling hard and surely sporting flushed cheeks. I look out my window to check, and there he is, still waiting like he said. I wave down at him once we make eye contact. He smiles and waves back before climbing into the truck and reversing out of the driveway.
I go about my usual nightly routine before finally settling into bed. The smile that this mysterious boy has somehow managed to plant on my face has yet to disappear. I think back over our interactions throughout the night, and although they had been small and more than likely meaningless to him, they had me giggling and kicking my feet like a little schoolgirl. Figuratively, of course. Once I manage to calm myself down, I close my eyes and begin to drift off to sleep, whispering a quick prayer that tonight was only the first and not the last time I would be seeing the handsome stranger.

"That movie was awful." I scoff, walking with the rest of the group out of the theater.
"I thought it was awesome!" Mike exclaims.
"How? There was an unnecessary amount of blood and gore that did absolutely nothing for the plot, and the graphics were horrible."
"Woah there! Didn't know we had a professional movie critic on our hands." Mike jokes, receiving laughter from the rest of the group.
I roll my eyes as they begin gushing and raving about the action movie as we walk down the street. I fall back behind the group a bit, putting a little distance between me and them, but not too much that it's noticeable. Not that I think they would notice anyway. Despite having hung out with them numerous times since the bonfire two weeks ago, my friendship with them hasn't progressed at all. I just don't feel much of a connection with any of them, other than Angela.
"Hey, Y/N!" A call of my name pulls me out of my thoughts. I look up at Angela and her friends to find the source, only to see them looking back at me, confusion written on all of their faces. "Hey!" The masculine voice calls again from behind me, a little closer this time. I turn around this time, coming face-to-face with one of the guys from the bonfire, Embry and a couple of others not far behind.
"Do I know you?" I ask.
"No, but I know you. I'm Jared Cameron." He offers me his hand to shake.
"Y/N Y/L/N." I shake his outstretched hand. The next one to introduce himself has short, curly hair and a boyish grin on his face.
"Quil Ateara. The fifth, but the greatest." He chuckles, shaking my hand. The last one steps up wearing a smug expression as he introduces himself.
"Paul Lahote." He smirks, grabbing my hand and bringing it up to his lips. However, before he can make contact with my skin, he is stopped by Embry's stern voice.
"Enough, Paul." He orders to the snickering man.
"Hi, Embry." I redirect my attention to the boy who stands a few steps behind the others.
"Hey." He replies, our gazes locking briefly before he looks away.
"We're heading to a little restaurant down the street," Jared explains. "Wanna join?"
"Oh uh-" As I try to find the words to respond to his spontaneous offer, I'm interrupted by the voice of a female, that I have come to realize I am not the biggest fan of.
"Hey, Y/N. Who are your friends?" She asks, leaving me no time to respond before turning to introduce herself. "Hi, I'm Jessica Stanley." A chorus of 'hey's and 'hello's come from the group in response.
"We're heading home if you're ready." She directs her attention to me this time.
"Okay."
"We were actually offering her to join us for dinner," Quil states, presenting the offer Jared had extended to me just a few moments ago. "If she hasn't eaten yet."
"That's so kind of you." Jessica speaks with fake enthusiasm.
"Will you?" Jared questions, eyes trained on mine.
"Sure." I nod, turning to the group I had come with. "If that's okay with all of you."
"Go ahead." Angela is the one to step up and speak, a small but noticeable smile on her face. "Text me when you get home?"
A simple nod is all she needs before she grabs Jessica's hand and guides her back over to their group.
"Let's go," Paul speaks, throwing his arm over my shoulder as if we've known each other for years, and begins to lead me away. "I'm starving."
The restaurant we end up at is a cute, family-owned Italian place. It's cozy and welcoming, much like the rowdy group of boys who invited me to it.
"You have got to try the pizza," Quil leans in from his chair beside me to show me the options on the menu. "It's amazing."
"You think so?" I ask, amused by his never-ending enthusiasm.
"I know so." He winks, flashing me a toothy grin.
"The chicken alfredo is also really good." Jared adds from his seat on the other side of the table. I take their suggestions into consideration as I browse the menu.
"Everything looks and sounds delicious," I say, a sigh of defeat passing through my lips. "I don't know what to choose."
"We could order a couple plates of pasta and a few large pizzas to share. The portions are pretty big." Jared suggests.
"That's fine with me." I nod. "I'm still kind of full from the popcorn I ate at the theater so I won't be able to finish a full meal by myself."
"Don't you worry your pretty little head," Quil taps the tip of my nose with his index finger, forcing a giggle out of me at his antics. "Whatever you don't eat, I can gladly finish for you."
"Sounds like a plan then." I smile.
Once we finalize our decisions and put in our orders, we fall into easy conversation. A majority of it is Jared, Quil, and Paul bickering about random stuff or asking me questions. Despite their endless chatter, I can't help but let my mind linger on the quiet male sitting directly to my left. Before I can gather the courage to talk to Embry, Paul grabs my attention.
"How come you hang out with that Newton kid and his friends if you can't stand them?"
"Huh?" His question throws me off a bit.
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but you didn't seem too thrilled when we saw you outside of the theater." He elaborates. "And you looked a little annoyed when that Jennifer girl butt in to our conversation."
"You mean Jessica?" I chuckle as I correct him.
"Yeah, her." He nods.
"I wouldn't say that I dislike them, necessarily." I shrug. "I just don't click with them well, I guess. Angela is cool, and Eric isn't too bad, but the others are just so...I don't know. Jessica has to always be the center of attention, and Mike is overly flirtatious and too handsy for me."
"Handsy?" Embry questions, addressing me for the first time since out intial greeting outside of the theater. "Has he touched you?"
"It's nothing bad," I assure him. "It's just little things like trying to hold my hand or mess with my hair. Just weirds me out a bit."
"He still shouldn't be trying to touch you without your permission." He grumbles. "Someone needs to put him in his place."
"It's fine." I shrug. "He's harmless, just doesn't understand boundaries." Before he can say anything else, the food arrives.
"Is there anything else I can get for you?" The waitress asks after placing all of the food on the table. A chorus of "no's" and "no thank you's" float around the table. "Okay. Just call for me if you need me." As soon as she walks away, we all dig in.
"I am stuffed!" I exclaim after taking the last bite of pasta on my plate. There's still half a dish of pasta and a full pizza left on the table, but at the rate that the boys are eating, I'm positive it will be gone soon.
"You humans and your small appetites." Quil laughs around a mouth full of pizza. His comment earns him a harsh glare from the others.
"Humans?" I laugh at his strange words. "What are you, then? A dog." The table falls quiet as the four share a look before breaking out into nervous laughter. Ignoring their weird response, I change the subject.
"So, what is school like on the reservation?" I ask.
"Boring," Jared replies. "And a lot smaller than public schools."
"What do you do for fun?"
"We spend a lot of time hanging out with our friend Sam and his fiancee, Emily, at their place. It's our home away from home." He answers.
"Or going cliff jumping." Paul adds.
"Cliff jumping?" My eyes widen as I repeat the words back to him. "Is that even safe?"
"No, but it's fun as hell." Quil chuckles. "Gives you a huge adrenaline rush. You should come with us and give it a try some time."
"Absolutely not." Embry interjects, shutting down his suggestion before I can answer for myself. "She could get seriously injured, if she doesn't die from it."
"She'll be fine." Paul jumps in. "Jacob's little leech lover did it and survived."
"Barely." Embry scoffed. "Jacob had to pull her out and perform mouth-to-mouth on her."
"Well, it's a good thing she will be with us then." Paul responds cheekily. "What do you say, Y/N? I don't mind providing a little mouth-to-mouth if necessary."
"I'll pass."
"You should come hang out on the rez, then? At Sam and Emily's place." Jared suggests.
"I don't know." I shake my head. "I don't want to intrude. You seem like a really tight-knit group."
"It's fine." He waves me off. "You'll fit right in." A smug look flickers across his face, as if he knows something that I don't.
"Maybe, but not tonight. I need to get home soon."
"Of course." Jared nods. "Let's pay the bill and then we can head out."

"Are you sure this is okay? They won't mind that I'm here?" I ask Quil as we make our way up the drive way toward Sam and Emily's house.
"Of course not." He gives me a reassuring smile. "We've told them all about you, and they are excited to meet you. Emily's happy to have another female to hang out with. Something about there being too much testosterone around here." He rolls his eyes laughing. "Word of advice though. Don't stare at Emily's face. It pisses Sam off."
"Noted." I nod as we walk up the steps.
"Honey, I'm home!" Quil shouts into the house as he throws the door open.
"Please leave." Paul deadpans.
"Hi! You must be Y/N." A woman greets warmly as she makes her way across the kitchen, making sure to smack Paul in the back of the head and telling him to be nice. "I'm Emily Young." She introduces herself as she pull me into a hug.
"Yes, I am." I nod smiling, reciprocating her hug. "Nice to meet you."
"I'm Sam Uley." A man steps up next to her, greeting me as he does. "That's Seth and Leah Clearwater," He gestures to two other unfamiliar faces sitting at the kitchen table. "And you know the rest of the hooligans."
"Hooligans?" Jared scoffs. "I'll have you know that I am a very distinguished young man." He says as he adjusts his invisible tie.
"Yeah, maybe compared to a caveman." Paul retorts, causing Jared to retaliate by intiating a wrestling match in the small kitchen.
"Enough, you two." Sam barks, trying and failing to hide his amusement at their antics.
"Come sit." Emily turns to me, gently ushering me to the only empty chair at the table, which happens to be right next to Embry.
"Hey," He greets in a quiet whisper as I take a seat.
"Hey."
"Are you okay?" He questions, a look of concern on his features.
"Yeah," I nod. "Why wouldn't I be?"
"You just seem a little tense." He answers. "And they can be a lot sometimes, even for someone like me who has spent years dealing with them."
"I'm okay," I assure him with a smile. He simply nods before turning to finish his lunch as Emily sets a plate down in front of me.
"I'm not sure if you've eaten already but I saved a plate for you." She explains. "Food doesn't last long around here with all of these men so I made sure to put some aside when I heard you were coming."
"I'm starving, actually. I haven't eaten yet today." I reply. "Thank you!"
"You haven't eaten? Like, at all?" The boy named Seth asks from his spot opposite of me.
"No." I shake my head. "I was up late last night writing a paper for my English class and started working on it again as soon as I woke up. I guess I got a little too carried away and forgot to eat anything. But hey! At least I finished my paper. Four days early at that."
"You should still make sure you're eating properly though." Embry states.
"Of course." I nod in agreement. "It's a bad habit I've been trying to kick for years. Once I get locked in on something, it's hard to step away. My mom has lectured me, like, a million times about it."
"So it happens often, is what I'm hearing." Emily steps in, her mom voice making an appearance."
"More often then it should." I respond sheepishly.
"That settles it then." She shakes her head in disbelief. "I'm now making it my personal duty to make sure you are eating three full meals a day. Can't have you getting sick on us."
"You don't have to do that." I argue.
"I know I don't have to, but we take care of our own around here. I know you're new to the group, but I already consider you one of us." She explains, her tone leaving no room fro argument.
"Okay." A blush warms my cheeks as I finally begin to dig into my food.
"Embry." Sam calls his name from where he stands by the kitchen door. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"
He responds with a nod before rising from his chair and following Sam outside. They are standing on the porch right outside the door, speaking in hushed whispers. As the conversation goes on, Embry seems to grow increasingly frustrated or angry, I assume by the expressions on his face. A few more words are shared between the two before Embry stomps off the porch and Sam returns to the kitchen, letting out a heavy sigh as he enters. The others give him a questioning look, but all he does is shake his head in response.
"What are you doing tonight?" He asks, coming to sit at the table next to Emily.
"Nothing really." I shrug. "Planned on just hanging out at home and reading a book."
"Lame!" Quil and Jared shout simultaneously.
"I'm hosting a bonfire tonight if you would like to join."
"Please do!" Emily almost begs. "You can meet the other girls as well. Kim and Rachel, Jared's and Paul's girlfriends."
"Sure," I nod. "Why not?"
"Perfect!" She smiles. "Would you like to run into town with me? I need to grab some groceries for the barbeque."
"Of course. I don't have anything else to do."
"Let me go grab my purse."
• ───────────────────────────── •
"Hey, Emily. Can I ask you something?" I ask as we walk down another aisle to grab the things she needs.
"Ask away."
"Does Embry not like me or something?" I question. "Like, did I do something wrong? Or offend him in some way?"
"Of course not." She shakes her head at my words. "Why would you think that?"
"I don't know." I shrug, nervously fidgeting with the loose threads on my sweater. "He just seems closed off when I'm around. I just thought maybe it was something I did."
"That's just Embry." She reassures me. "He's always been more of an introvert compared to the other guys."
"You sure?"
"I'm positive." She stops walking and turns to face me. "Don't read too much into it. Just give him time. He'll come around." I nod in response, choosing to trust her words and expel those negative thoughts from my head. "Now come on, we only have a few more things to grab and I'm afraid those bozos might destroy the house if they are left alone too long." She giggles as she begins walking again, me following close behind.
When we return to the house, the guys are horsing around outside, as Emily and I head to the kitchen to put everything away. Once all of the groceries are in their rightful place, she begins to prep what will be needed for dinner.
"Is there anything I can help with?"
"No, I got it, but thanks." She politely declines. "Why don't you head outside. Or you can hang out in the living room and watch some TV. Whatever you want to do."
"You sure?"
"Yep."
I begin to make my way towards the door to go outside when I notice Embry sitting on the couch by himself. I hesitate briefly before making up my mind and stepping towards the living room instead.
"Hi, Embry." I speak softly, as not to startle him.
"Hey, Y/N." He greets, glancing at me over his shoulder and then turning his attention back towards the TV.
"What're watching?"
"Nothing, really. Just flipping through channels to see if anything good is on. So far, I've found nothing." He shrugs.
"Do you mind if I join you?"
"No, I don't mind." He scoots over to make room on the couch. We fall into a tense silence as he continues to flip through channels before he finally settles on a true crime show.
"Are you excited for the bonfire?" He asks, finally breaking the silence and turning his head to look at me, our gazes interlocking.
"Yeah, actually. I am." I reply, smiling. This is the first time we've had an actual conversation together since the one we had on the night we met and I can't help but feel giddy about it.
"Good." He nods, he lifts one of his hands to tuck a loose strand of hair behind my ear. "You look beautiful, by the way."
"Oh, uh, thank you." I can feel my cheeks heat up instantly. "You do, too. Look handsome, I mean. Not beautiful. Not that you aren't beautiful, I just-" I blush harder as I stumble over my words.
"Thank you." He interrupts, chuckling softly.
Our conversation dies out as we stare into each other's eyes. However, the silence this time is much more comfortable. Without realizing it, we had begun to lean into each other. So close that our noses are almost touching.
"Can I-" Embry begins to speak but is cut off as Sam's voice carries through from the kitchen.
"Embry, come out. I need your help gathering the fire wood."
"Okay, be right there." He replies, backing away. "I'll talk to you in a bit, okay?"
"Okay. Yeah." I nod, another blush dusting my cheeks as I start to think about what would have happened if Sam hadn't come in.
Embry then gets up from his spot beside me, leaving me with a soft smile and following Sam out the door.
• ───────────────────────────── •
The bonfire burns brightly, providing some warmth against the chilly night air. I sit with the other girls, talking and laughing as the guys kick around a soccer ball off to the side. Just like Emily, Kim and Rachel are kind and inviting, making it easy to fall into comfortable conversation. Even Leah, despite her quiet nature.
"So, you and Embry, huh?" Rachel nudges my side gently with her elbow, wiggling her eyebrow suggestively.
"What about me and Embry?" I ask confused.
"Are y'all, like, a thing?" Kim is the one to ask the question.
"Oh, no. Definitely not." I shake my head, laughing at the incredulousness of the idea. "If you haven't noticed, he barely speaks to me."
"Which is kind of crazy to me because the guy can barely keep his eyes off of you." Rachel says.
"Right!" Kim exclaims. "Glad I'm not the only one who noticed."
"You're seeing things." I argue.
"But you like him though, don't you?" Leah asks.
"Would you think I'm crazy if I said yes?" I bite my lip nervously. "He. doesn't even give me the time if day. Today was the first time we've held a conversation that was longer than three words since the night we met, but I can't help but be drawn to him. Like some kind of invisible string is keeping me tied to him. I sound weird and obsessive, don't I?" I sigh, feeling embarrassed at my admission.
"Not at all." Emily smiles, providing me with some comfort. "Like I said earlier, just give him a little time."
"You should-" Before Rachel can finish what she is going to say, they sound of men arguing grabs all of our attention.
"I said back off, Paul!" Embry shouts angrily at his friend.
Paul laughs menacingly. "Oh yeah? Or what?"
Embry lets out what I can only describe as a deep growl as his body begins to shake in anger.
"Careful there, Call." He says mockingly. "Don't want to lose your cool in front of your girlfriend." Those words seem to be the final trigger, because on my next breath, Embry's clothes shred to pieces as he turns into a giant wolf.
All of the air leaves my lungs as the scene unfolds. Paul is next, shifting into a massive beast in the blink of an eye, right as Embry lunges for him. The two begin to fight, large jaws snapping at each other as they roll on the ground.
"What the actual fuck?" I whisper as I finally catch my breath.
"Leah, Emily." Sam calls. "Get her inside." As soon as the words leave his mouth, a black wolf, larger than the other two, takes the place where his once human form stood. The others soon follow, beginning to chase after the two who have now managed to tumble into the forest.
"Can someone please explain to me what the hell just happened?" I gasp out as we make our way into the living room.
"It's not really our place to say, but Sam can as soon as he gets back." Emily places a comforting yet firm hand on my shoulder, forcing me to take a seat on the couch.
"They're not gonna kill each other, are they?" The horrifying thought leaves my lips before I can stop it.
"No," Rachel shakes her head. "They'll be fine. This actually happens quite often."
"That doesn't make me feel any better." I look at her as if she is insane."
"Sam will calm them down, and then they will all return safely. Not scratch or bruise in sight." Kim explains. I nod, taking a deep breath.
"So they're werewolves?"
"We prefer the term 'Shifter'." Leah states.
"Can all of you do that?"
"Nope. Just me and the guys."
"You're the only female that can turn into a wolf?"
"The only one known." She nods.
"Okay." I nod, trying to process the new found information. "Wow! This is a lot to take in."
"You're handling it pretty well, though." Kim giggles. "I half expected you to run off screaming."
We sit waiting for about ten minutes, them answering the questions they are allowed to answer, before the door swings open. Jared, Quil, and Seth walk into the house, Sam, Paul, and Embry moments after.
"Sorry about that, Y/N." Paul laughs as he throws himself down on the floor in front of where Rachel sits.
"No problem." I respond before turning my attention towards Sam.
"I'm sure you have a few questions."
"That's the understatement of the century." Sam chuckles at my response as he begins to explain everything. Their history, abilities, what causes the first shift, what triggers every shift after, how they control it. He goes on for what feels like half an hour until he feels that he has covered everything.
"Now that that is out of the way, there is one more thing you must know, but it's best if you and Embry discuss that privately."
"Um...okay?" I turn to look at Embry, who is still standing next to the door.
"Can I give you a ride home?" He asks. "I'll explain on the way there."
"Sure." I nod, standing from the couch. "Thanks for inviting me. Despite all of the chaos, I really enjoyed spending time with you all."
"Of course, Y/N." Sam smiles gently. "You're welcome any time."
• ───────────────────────────── •
The first ten minutes of the twenty-minute drive pass in silence. Neither of us willing to break it, but eventually I speak, not being able to stand the tension anymore.
"Embry?" I call his name softly, my voice coming out as almost a whisper. "There was something you wanted to tell me."
"'Want' isn't exactly the word I would use, but I don't really have a choice." He sighs heavily. "For starters, I want to apologize. I didn't want to drag you into this. I tried to keep my distance, but my friends were hellbent on playing matchmakers. If it had been up to me, tonight wouldn't have ever happened."
"Oh." His words trigger an ache in my chest.
"It's not that there is anything wrong with you. You're great, actually. It's just that I didn't want to bring you into my world because it's too dangerous for you."
"Dangerous? How? What does any of this have to do with me?"
"That leads to my next point. There is this thing that us Shifters do. It's called imprinting." He explains as he slows the car down before pulling over to the side of the road and putting the car in park.
"Imprinting?" I ask as he turns to me, eyes locking onto mine.
"Yeah. In looser terms, it's kind of like finding our soulmate. The one person we are destined to be with. When we find our imprint, they instantly become the one thing in this world that we would do anything for. We will become anything they want or need us to be. A protector, a friend, a lover. They become the center of our whole world. The gravity that holds us to the Earth. Everything and everyone in our lives suddenly comes second to them."
"Are you saying that-"
"Yes," He nods, responding before I can finish my sentence as if he had read my mind. "That night we first met, on the beach in La Push, I imprinted on you. It's not something we can control, it just happens. We don't choose who we imprint on. The moment I looked into your eyes, my fate was sealed."
"Is that why you avoided me? Did you want it to be someone else?"
"No." He shakes his head. "I was avoiding you because bringing you into all of this is dangerous. There are other supernatural beings that exist, and just you breathing puts you in danger because of the connection we have."
"Other supernatural beings? Like what?"
"Vampires. Those are our biggest enemies and what triggered out phases."
"Vampires," I mutter his words back to him in disbelief. "Here in Forks?" He nods in response.
"So if you don't have control over the bond, what would happen if I didn't want it?" I question. "Not saying that I don't, just asking." I quickly explain.
"You could reject it, but it wouldn't be easy. For either of us. The longer we spend apart, the more it will begin to hurt. Not just emotionally but physically too. We would both grow weaker, and it would affect my shifting and other abilities."
"Wow."
"And I'm not saying that to scare you at all, just answering your question honestly."
"So what does that mean for us?"
"What do you want it to mean? Like I said, you are now my sole purpose of living. Your safety and well-being, your life, are now my greatest priority. I will be whatever you need me to be."
"Okay. So, if I wanted to pursue something romantically, would you only be doing it because you have to? Because I actually really like you. Like a lot. But I don't want to force you into anything that you don't actually want."
"I like you, too. And I'm not just saying that because of the bond. I do genuinely mean that. I know it didn't seem like it because of how I acted and how I treated you, but the more time I've spent around you, the more my feelings have grown. My feelings for you are real, they are just amplified by the connection we have."
"Okay."
"Is that want you want?" He asks. "To pursue this romantically?"
"Maybe." I shrug. "Do you?"
"I would like that." He smiles softly.
"Me too." I return with a smile of my own, subconsciously leaning closer to him. "We should probably take it slow though."
"Definitely." He responds, moving in more. Our noses brush gently as he speaks. "Would you be mad if I kissed you? Right now."
I shake my head at his question. "I think I would be more mad if you didn't"
That's all that needs to be said before he leans in the rest of the way and molds his lips softly to mine. Butterflies erupt in my stomach instantly. My body feels like it's on fire, but in a good way. His hand finds my cheek, angling me to deepen the kiss as both of mine find the nape of his neck, my fingers tangling in his hair.
Once we both run out of breath, he pulls back, pecking my lips a few more times.
"I should probably get you home." He whispers, resting his forehead against mine.
"Yeah, you probably should." I whisper back, brushing my lips against his softly. He groans softly, caving in and kissing me hard.
"Okay." He moves away to settle back into his seat. "For real, I need to get you home."
"Sorry." I blush.
"Don't apologize." He says. "I didn't mind at all. And now that I've gotten a taste of what its like to kiss you, I don't ever want to stop, but we've been sitting here for a while out in the middle of nowhere."
"You're right. Let's go."
The rest of the drive is spent with light conversation and giddy smiles shared between the two of us. He keeps my hand interlocked with his the whole time and places light pecks against the back of it every now and then. We finally make it to my house, much to my disappointment. Embry, being the gentleman he is, walks me to the door.
"I guess this is goodnight, then." He says, hands still holding mine tightly, as if he doesn't want to let go.
"I mean, it doesn't have to be." He quirks an eyebrow at the insinuation behind my words. "Do you want to come in?"
"I shouldn't." He shakes his head, releasing one of my hands so I can unlock my front door.
"But I think you should." I open the door, tugging on his hand as I step inside. I watch as he battles with whether he should decline or give in. I wait patiently as he makes his decision.
"Fuck it!" He finally says before diving in for a kiss, kicking the door closed behind us as we stumble into the house.

You’d been casually seeing Mike for the past three months and while you can tell that you’re both completely different people than you were 5 years ago when you last saw him, you couldn’t help but feel like no time had passed. It felt natural, it felt right to be seeing Mike again and you found yourself looking forward to it every day.
Even though you’d been seeing each other for three months, neither of you broached the subject of making things official between you both and you didn’t know if that was something Mike wanted or not. But, as you were getting ready to meet him on this particular afternoon, you decided that today was going to be the day you actually spoke to him about it. The two of you took Miles for another walk along the beach before you invited him back to your place.
‘How come you wanted to come back to yours and not Graceland?’ he asked, unclipping Miles’ lead from his collar and hanging it up once you’d closed the door behind you.
‘We always go back to your place,’ you replied, slipping your shoes off and heading into your living room, Mike trailing after you. ‘Plus there’s something that I wanted to talk to you about and it would be easier if there wasn’t anyone else around to listen in or anything.’
Mike furrowed his brow as he sat on the edge of the sofa next to you, turning his body so he was facing you. ‘Is everything okay?’
‘Everything’s fine,’ you were quick to reassure him as you moved closer to him, sliding your hand into his and smiling when you felt his grip tighten. ‘I just wanted to, maybe, talk about us? You know, where we are, where we stand, that kind of thing?’ You looked at him to see him already looking at you, a soft smile on his lips.
‘Sure,’ he replied gently. ‘So, where do you think we are?’
‘I was kind of hoping to ask you that first,’ you said, feeling shy all of a sudden, scared that he was going to turn around and say that he wasn’t interested in anything too serious with you.
‘Well, I like where we are,’ Mike began and you felt your shoulders deflate slightly, scared that your fears were about to come true. ‘But, I think that’s it’s been long enough. I think that, while this has been really great, I want to take things further, I don’t want to bump into people we know and have to introduce you as my friend, I’d much rather introduce you as my girlfriend, if you’d let me.’
You had to take a couple of seconds to process what he had just said. Whilst he said pretty much exactly what you wanted him to, there was still a part of you that didn’t really believe that you’d heard it come from his mouth.
‘Is that okay?’ Mike asked, reading into your silence wrong.
‘Yeah,’ you said simply and quietly, a shy smile forming on your lips while you looked at him. You moved closer to him on the sofa until your leg was brushing up against his and leaned in to gently peck his lips. As you were about to pull away, Mike wrapped his arms around you, keeping you in place as he deepened the kiss. Not breaking the kiss, Mike moved until he was hovering over you with his back pressed against the sofa and you wrapped your legs around his waist.
‘So, do you want to be my girlfriend?’ he asked, moving his lips to your neck as his fingers began to slip underneath the bottom of your t-shirt.
‘Yes,’ you gasped, throwing your head back when he scraped his teeth along your skin.

teehee just a little fic i wrote
“Will!” Joyce called out from the kitchen, waking the boy up. “Mike’s here!”
Will rubbed his eyes, seeing the sunshine of late day make rays in his bedroom. Everything was still. He wished that he could go back to sleep. He had fallen asleep sitting up, reading, wrapped up in the most fuzzy blanket that he could get his hands on. He was warm, comfortable, calm.
Mike. Will sat up straight, causing some folds of the blanket to expose his arm. He shivered at the sudden coldness of it, immediately regretting his decision. Before he could readjust himself, he heard a knock at the door.
“Come in,” he said.
The door opened soundlessly, revealing Mike, looking cute as usual. Will looked away, flushed, and full of shame.
“Hey,” Will removed his blanket, throwing it to the side of his bed. He moved to stand up, facing himself with Mike and his soft face, his freckles, his charcoaled color hair. His eyes, which usually came off cold and uninterested, turning into the most understanding and compassionate eyes that Will had ever seen, rather than the ones his mother gave him.
“What’s up?” His voice was serene, peaceful. A tone that Mike only used with Will.
Will felt like he might die, his heart pounded fast. Calm down. You’ll be obvious if you keep this up. “Nothing, just reading.”
“Cool,” Mike walked towards his nightstand, lingering a bit to read the title of the book Will was reading, which still remained on his bed, tangled in the blankets. “Well, uhm—sorry for coming unannounced…”
“Oh, don’t worry about it,” Will smiled. No matter how much he cursed himself for having a crush on him, another boy, Mike always got to him. He always made him feel safe, a yellowish-orange color, warm in his stomach, forcing a laugh or a smile out of him. Mike made him feel good.
Mike smiled back. “Good.” He walked and sat down on the carpet of Will’s bedroom, looking a bit awkward just sitting there. Will followed his lead and sat down across from him. “Hey—” his voice shook.
“What?” He asked, his voice filled with curiosity.
“Well uhm…” he looked off into the distance, outside Will’s bedroom window. “I’m—okay. This is… let’s see…”
Will’s interest peaked. He unconsciously leaned in.
Mike immediately saw Will limiting the space between them, becoming a little uncomfortable. He tried to not let it show as he slowly let himself lay on the floor behind him, still thinking about how he should act and what exactly he should say next. “I’ve been doing a lot of thinking… and well… okay. I want to tell you something but I’m just—it’s scary. Like what you said back in that junkyard with the cars. About opening up.”
What does he want to tell me? Will thought, maybe he’s in love with me. He immediately brushed the idea off, not wanting to get his hopes up and thinking about how probable that was to actually happen. “Mhm…?”
“It’s just… ugh. Uhm…” He put his hands over his face, struggling to find the right words. “I’ve been talking to Robin lately, and well… I just… I don’t know what to do, Will.” Rubbing his eyes, he tried to collect himself. “I want to tell you so badly. But, if it doesn’t go down well, I don’t think you’ll want to still be friends with me. Which would just be too painful for me.”
Will bit his lip, thinking. “It’s okay Mike,” he replied. “I won’t stop being friends with you over something stupid. I’m with you till the end of time.” Crazy together. He could hear Mike smile briefly.
“I know, I’m probably overreacting, but still, it’s scary.” Mike took in a deep breath and slowly sat up again, meeting Will’s eyes. “I’m just gonna say it. And try not to cut me off until I’m done, ‘kay?”
Will nodded, on the edge of his seat.
“I want to kiss you. I want to kiss you so badly it hurts. I’ve always wanted to, I just never really knew how to process what I was feeling. And what I feel is that I want to kiss you so bad that it hurts. I love you so much, Will. I love you. IloveyouIloveyouIloveyou.” He was turning more red by the minute. “I just, I want to kiss you. I can’t stop saying it. I want to kiss you.”
The entire world stopped. Will was still trying to comprehend what Mike was saying to him, what he felt about it—the overwhelm of emotions made him stop, shut down completely. He felt like throwing up, in a good way. Everything was overflowing from him—especially happiness. He was so happy he couldn’t even smile, it would do his emotions a disservice—he needed something otherworldly to express his happiness.
“I want to kiss you,” he was on the verge of tears. “I want to kiss you. I want to kiss you.”
Will almost started to cry as well. All words left him. He tried to communicate ‘please do’ through the slightest expressions, by the tilt of his head, by the look in his eyes. All he could muster up was slowly moving his hand out, towards Mike’s.
Mike looked down, seeing Will’s hands. He knew exactly what this meant. He always knew exactly what Will meant—years of staring at him, talking with him, laughing with him had prepared him for this moment. There was no greater joy in the world. Mike placed his hands on Will’s cheeks and leaned in, closing the gap between them.
They were finally able to feel each other’s soft lips, the feeling of their faces together. His hands on Will’s face, the way Will’s hands were given a burst of energy as they flew up to touch Mike’s elbow, the way he instantaneously leaned into the kiss. They never wanted it to end. Everything they could have possibly wanted.
The boys stayed kissing until Mike had to break away to get some air. He looked dazed, brushed with cherries and roses. He felt perfect serenity and tranquility. He didn’t take long to lean back in. Will did not complain.
The day would last forever and innocent kisses would fill the minutes, the hours. The sunshine from Will’s window hit them perfectly, adding a pure warmth and coziness that wrapped them up.
From that day on, they were always tangled in each other, and gave each other kisses whenever they had the chance.
They had never been happier.

Thanktival 2022 - Day 7 - Horrible Histories
Title: The Office Party [AO3]
Characters: Milton "D.I." Bones / Mike Peabody
Prompt: HHTV News Team
Summary: While decorating their Christmas tree, Mike and Milton take a trip down memory lane to the very beginning.
————
The Office Party
“Remember our first Christmas together?”
Milton snorted. “You mean that office party two weeks into my new job where I made a fool of myself by wearing an ugly Christmas jumper while everyone was dressed formally? Yeah, I’d rather eat glass than remember that.”
Mike laughed as he passed him the Christmas lights. “I’ll have you know that I thought you looked very fetching with that cute little reindeer on your chest.”
“Not funny,” Milton grumbled, pointedly not looking at him.
“It’s a bit,” Mike said, unable to keep the fond smile off his face. “You did, though, you know? Look fetching that night.”
Milton heaved a heavy sigh and let his head hang. “I looked like a bumbling fool is what I did. I thought the bosses would fire me right then and there.”
There was a beat of silence as Mike took in the tension in his shoulders and the way Milton gnawed at his lip. He looked so utterly miserable that Mike gently reached up to cup his face. “But they didn’t.”
“I didn’t know that then,” Milton reminded him. He closed his eyes for a brief moment. “I just wanted to make a good impression, you know? To show everyone that it wasn’t a mistake to hire me.”
Mike allowed his thumb to stroke over Milton’s cheekbone. “I hoped you hadn’t heard the office talk back then.”
“Oh, I did,” Milton glowered. “I was very much aware of the fact they’d only hired me because their favourites pulled out last minute and they desperately needed someone to do the job. I also knew people were betting on when I’d leave, and that they were laughing behind my back every time I screwed up.”
“I’m sorry,” Mike said softly even though he knew it didn’t change anything. “For what it’s worth, I never participated in any of that. And neither did Sam or Bob.”
Milton heaved a heavy sigh and finally leaned into his touch. “I know. You were the only ones who actually talked to me, both at the office and at that blasted party. I thought it was pity at first.”
“Oh Mil,” Mike whispered. He let his hand fall from Milton’s face so he could interlace their fingers and gently pull him down from the ladder. Looking up into those eyes that he loved more dearly than any other, he pressed a lingering kiss to Milton’s lips. “It wasn’t pity at all. And I meant what I said: when I saw you in that Christmas jumper you took my breath away. I know you didn’t have the best time that evening but I? I fell a little bit in love with you that night.”
To his surprise, Milton huffed out a laugh. “I looked like a walking Christmas tree at a funeral, Mike.”
“You also looked like you wished the ground would open up and swallow you but that didn’t stop you from holding your head up high the whole time,” Mike said, giving his hand a squeeze. “I admired that about you. Still do.”
Shyly, Milton ducked his head. “I didn’t know that.”
“Then it was about time I told you,” Mike whispered before he leaned in for another kiss.
There was a beat of silence after he pulled back before Milton’s lips twitched up into a fond smile. “Sam teased you mercilessly, didn’t she?”
The noise Mike made was somewhere between a laugh and a groan. “You have no idea. She knew immediately that I was crushing on you and wouldn’t stop gossiping with Bob about it every time you went to get us more drinks. It was a nightmare. Bob actually started taking notes on our interactions that night. For the Bones-Peabody wedding report – his words, not mine. And I’m not kidding, Mil. I’ve actually seen them. They exist.”
He basked in the sound of Milton’s unabashed laughter. “So that’s why he was so eager to do a speech!”
“I can already hear him, Mil.” Mike cleared his voice, trying to imitate Bob. “And then they sat there at the party, awkwardly looking at each other – but not for long!”
Milton leaned his head down so his forehead was touching Mike’s shoulder, shaking with laughter. “We’re going to get the most accurate wedding speech of all time.”
“And probably the most embarrassing one too,” Mike said with a grin. He wrapped his arms around Milton to hold him close. “We’ve come such a long way from that moment, haven’t we?”
He felt Milton hum against his shoulder in agreement. “Five years … I can’t wait to see what the next five will bring.”
Mike closed his eyes, imagined their wedding, their honeymoon, maybe even adoption down the line, and smiled.
“Probably more grey hairs for me,” he joked.
Milton snorted.
“As if you care.” He pulled back to look up into Mike’s eyes. Smiling softly and a little dreamily, he brought up one hand to card his fingers through Mike’s hair as Mike knew he was fond of doing. “And neither do I.”
They stood like this a little while longer, lost in each other and the moment, before Milton finally found the strength to pull away. It took them another hour until the Christmas tree was sparkling in all the colours of the rainbow and the rest of the house was decorated as well, mistletoe very self-indulgently included. They shared a quick kiss under it before they let themselves fall onto the sofa. Exhausted but happy they glanced at each other.
“Elf?” Mike suggested at the same time as Milton said, “Night at the Museum?”
“That’s not a Christmas movie!” Mike protested with a laugh.
“You’re wrong and you know it,” Milton told him. Then his face softened. “But yeah, we can watch Elf.”
Mike grinned and put on the movie while Milton went to the kitchen to get them some of the cookies they’d made earlier.
They were halfway through the film when Mike turned to him, pointed at Buddy’s outfit on the screen and whispered with a grin, “Imagine you’d have worn that to the Christmas party.”
Wordlessly, Milton reached for the pillow behind him and hit him squarely in the face with it.

heyy, how are youu? hope you're doing great!
this is my first request in a while so I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense 😭
Can you write something about how Vanessa and we have been in a relationship for a couple of months and she gets jealous of someone (It can be anyone you can think of) But she doesn't know how to tell us because she is still too shy to express her feelings towards us?
aaand if u take request for smut, can u add some soft sex with lot of praise? 😁
a/n: sure can <33 I love me some jealous vanessa.
Trigger warnings: smut, top!Vanessa, bottom!reader, jealously, established relationship, car sex, rough sex, vaginal fingering.
Vanessa knew she was protective over you.
How could she not be? You were just so sweet, a ball of sunshine, and she was lucky to have you in her life.
You were too good for her, all she wanted was to make you happy.
The two of you were at a bar, enjoying yourselves as Mike wanted to celebrate on getting your promotion. He was a nice guy, Vanessa and him were even friends, nothing more. She only has eyes for you.
Whenever she looked your way, saw you laughing with Mike, she saw him place his hand on top of yours, making her clench her jaw, he should know better, you hadn't told Mike about your relationship with Vanessa as she understood why, the judgement you both could get if it was let out, but Vanessa wanted nothing more than to kiss you in front of everyone to show them you are hers.
It was supposed to be a nice night out, but all she wanted to do was go back home, lay in her bed and sulk.
When it was time to leave, close to midnight, you were getting rather tired as you, Mike and Vanessa walked out of the bar, Mike seemed a bit tipsy, so did you, Vanessa couldn't really drink that much as she was the one driving.
"Hey I had fun tonight" She heard Mike say to you, her back was turned from him, she didn't want to look at you standing near him.
"Yeah, same here. Thanks for the shout."
"Of course, anytime."
Vanessa wanted to leave.
"I'll see you another time, Vanessa is waiting for me, see you!" You waved your goodbyes and walked off to where Vanessa was standing by her car.
When you both got inside the car, she didn't even speak not once. Letting you ramble the whole way as you turned on the stero.
You must have caught her the change in her mood.
"Honey?" You said, placing your hand on her thigh, she didn't move away. "What's wrong, you seem upset."
"It's nothing."
You scoffed, "don't give me that" you said, "I know you too damn well to know it's not just nothing."
Vanessa knew you were right about that and she couldn't hide away from this.
She let out a sigh, biting down at her bottom lip.
"It's... Mike."
"Mike?" You said, confused, but you let her continue as you knew she wasn't always the best at putting her words together in expressing how she felt.
"You didn't see the way he was looking at you, how much he was touching you, it's just-" she groaned, her hands hitting against the steering wheel as it hit you.
"Oh my God, you're jealous!" You grinned.
Vanessa turned her head to look at you, furrowing her eyebrows.
"Jealous? Why would I be jealous, I'm the one that gets to kiss you and take you out on dates not him" she muttered, gritting her teeth together.
You chuckled, your hand coming up to caress her cheek as she couldn't help but lean into your touch.
"The only person I want is you, silly. The entire time I was thinking of how fucking hot you looked and how badly I wanted your fingers inside me. Not once was I ever thinking of him."
Her eyes widened at that, pupils dilating.
"W-what? You were thinking of me?" She stammered, her cheeks burning.
You nodded.
"Can I show you how much I need you?" You asked, waiting for her permission, she didn't hesitate as she quickly nodded.
Her eyes stayed on yours, you found her hand and placed it under your shorts, she immediately groaned, feeling how wet you are.
"Yeah?" You murmured, letting her take control as she rubbed against your clit, her digits soaked in your juices, "this was all you."
Her gaze never left yours, Vanessa easily slipped in a finger into your cunt as you moaned, chest heaving up and down, she wanted to rip your clothes off and fuck you right then and there.
"Who does this pretty pussy belong to, mhm?" She asks.
You whimpered, back arching into her touch, she slowed down her movements.
"That's not what i wanted to hear, baby" she muttered.
"Yours! This pussy belongs to you" you moaned, feeling her curl in a digit inside you.
"Good girl, that wasn't so hard, wasn't it?" She teased with a light chuckle. "Now come all over my fingers, make a mess."
And you did.
You came with a sweet cry of her name, clenching around her and even then just watching you fall apart almost made Vanessa come herself, but she had more restraint.
She let you catch your breath as she pulled out her hand from your pants, fucking hell they were dripping with your wetness.
You watched her place them into her mouth, whimpering at the sight.
She moaned around them, sucking as she could taste you on her tongue.
Vanessa felt you pull against her tie, bringing her in closer to your body as you kissed her, soft, her hand rested against your cheek.
"I love you."
She heard you whisper.
Vanessa smiled, kissing you back harder.
"I love you too."

Do you own anything from Victoria's Secret "Pink" line? Do you really think the clothes are worth the price? Nope. I’m not even sure if Victoria’s Secret exists here lol. I guess there are probably a few shops in London or whatever.
What does your last incoming text say, who was it from, and how do you feel about that person? From Mike asking where the kitten’s food was. He’s my husband and I love him, though he does ask silly questions lol.
Did you have a New Year's kiss? No, I was asleep at midnight ha.
Are there any words that you cannot pronounce or that you pronounce incorrectly? Nothing is coming to mind right now.
After a long day at work or of doing something physical what tends to hurt more? Your back or your feet? My back, for sure. I have chronic back pain anyway though.
Do you have a smart phone? If so, what's your favorite app? Sure. I use Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Mumsnet the most, plus Spotify and a few games too.
Who would you say is the overall best person you know, and why? My husband. Because he picked me and continues to pick me.
If you had to choose between being a Nurse or an English teacher which would you choose and why? An English teacher - I’d hate to be a nurse - I’m really not very good with bodily fluids and bad smells lol.
Do you have a specific gas station you usually go to? Or do you stop wherever? Yeah, the one at the end of our road lol. I mean, I’ll go to other places if I need to but that one’s the most convenient.
How much older than you was the oldest person you have dated/had a relationship with? Chris was eight years older than me.
Is anything stressing you out at the moment? Nah, I’m feeling pretty chilled out right now.
What is your opinion on dating someone who already had a child/children from a previous relationship? Been there, done that, would never do it again.
Have you ever actually found a mascara that makes a huge difference for your lashes? Sure, most of them seem to do the job.
Would you rather have one or two great facial features that stand out, or have just an overall pretty face but have no special features? An overall pretty face, I think.
Do you have any plans for Valentine's Day? Did you do anything last Valentine's Day? It’s only July lol. We didn’t do anything last year, we never do.
Do you check your horoscope daily? If so, did you relate to your horoscope at all today? No.
When you need to remember something, how do you usually go about doing so? I put a reminder in my phone.
Do you think you're a confident person? In your opinion what makes someone "confident" anyways? I think I have an average amount of confidence? I mean, I’m happy to go places alone and do things alone, at least.
How would you describe someone that is your type of guy/girl? I really don’t have a type.
Do you read books often? What is your all time favorite book and author? I don’t really read much anymore, but my favourite author is probably Neil Gaiman. Neverwhere is definitely my favourite book of his but I also like Alice in Wonderland and The Night Circus. I love fantasy type stuff that’s also kind of based in reality.
Have you recently accomplished anything that you are proud of yourself for? Yes! Setting up my own successful business, and I’m also proud of myself for learning to ride horses even though I fell off in a lesson and it really knocked my confidence.
Are you still friends with any of your exes? Do you still communicate with any of them at all? I wouldn’t say we were friends but I have a few of them on my Facebook.
What is your opinion on people that shop at Sephora for makeup as opposed to buying makeup from the drugstore? I really don’t care - people can spend their money on whatever they want.
When you enter a store like Target or Walmart where is the first section you go? It depends - normally I just start at the entrance and work round unless there’s something specific I’ve gone in for.
Are you the type of person to fight for someone or walk away? It depends on the situation, but normally I’ll fight before walking away.
Is marijuana legal for "recreational use" where you live? Also what is your opinion on the recent legalization of marijuana in certain states? Nope. I don’t really agree with it being legalised but I do think it should probably be decriminalised.
Do you live on your own or with your parents/a roommate? Do you think you'd like to live alone? I live with my husband, three cats and a dog. If Mike died I think I’d prefer to live alone rather than with a roommate.
How often would you say you use Microsoft Word? Never.
What is the last online purchase you made? Some supplements for the dogs’ anal glands lol.
Do you usually have bad symptoms around "that time of the month"? Yeah, mood swings and spots beforehand, then pretty bad cramps for a couple of days - even to the point of vomiting. I also get diarrhoea for a few days lol.
Is there anyone you have to see on a daily/weekly basis that you really dislike? Nope, thankfully not.
Is your hair thick or thin? Would you say it's easy to manage? It’s really fine and flyaway - it’s not very easy to manage, no. It’s curly but frizzy and really not very nice lol. I just tie it up mostly.
Have you ever had to deal with any type of long distance relationship, whether it be a romantic relationship or a friendship? Yes.
Are you procrastinating doing anything right now? No.
How do you feel about being called sweetie/dear/honey/etc.? I’m not really a fan.
Have you ever had a thing for/relationship with a coworker? How did it end? I met Chris through work but we didn’t get together until he left.
What type of deodorant do you use? Do you notice any difference between powders and gels? Just whatever is on offer at the supermarket. I only use spray stuff though, I find roll-ons really sticky and unpleasant.
What would you say is your worst habit? Squeezing spots.
Do you have a place you go to a lot that you may be considered "a regular" at? Yeah, our local ice-cream coffee place, I guess.
Do you ever read the articles posted on the home page of Xanga? Has there ever been one that has really stood out to you? I’m sure I have done, but none of them stick in my mind now.
What is the weather currently like where you live? Rainy. It’s due to be like this for pretty much the whole of the next week lol.
Is there anyone that you text on a regular basis that you do not have saved in your phone? If so, why don't you have their number saved? Nope.
Do you have any plans for Mardi Gras? We don’t have that here.

Now while Onyx knew of Brian's new 'condition', eating brains didnt click in her mind. To think, her sweet and borderline oafish boyfriend a killer? She wouldnt imagine it in a million years, the very thought not crossing her mind. She tried to think about how it could be a metaphor or a double meaning, maybe it meant Alymer was eating away at his brain, how would she know? Maybe the attempt he made to take his life tied into this but him eating brains as if its a snack was a foreign concept to her. She seen Alymer eat animal brains, so maybe he was referring to that? God, shes gonna give herself a headache. She did indeed get a few new tattoos, some were littered on her body before she met Brian but there were some new editions to the walking canvas. They were little flowers, small enough to be noticed only when you get closer but they were all in one space, as if it was the bare bones of a mural. Her mind was brought back to reality, enjoying the warmth his hands gave to her body. "You should tell me something like that, no matter how small. I remember how much you respond when I mess with your ears, so if its now a spot that causes pain rather than pleasure, let me know." She gently scolds, pinching his cheek. "Worrying me isnt gonna happen. Trust me, you are worth every bit of worry I have." Her way of saying 'I only show vulnerability to you idiot.'
Thinking back to the first night they met, it was apparent he was for her. She only knew that because of how hard he made her laugh and share in music. Seems small to others but for her it was a milestone. For reference, she hasnt laughed since....she cant even remember. He made her belly laugh, laugh until her stomach hurts, feeling joy for the first time in so many years, something unheard of for her. Honestly she wanted to see if he was some kind of trick, something an enemy planted for her to become vulnerable and in a place where she could be manipulated and hurt more with trust being built. Oh how she was proven wrong and she cant even imagine life without him. So when he suggested his brother and her sister getting together, she laughs. Not at him, at the idea Mike would even survive the feisty woman. "How about no? Your brother would not survive long with her trust me. If he likes to flirt with anything that has a hole, she will hang him on the wall for decoration and make him a unicorn after cutting his dick off. Trust me, he does not want that. Now as for you meeting her, we can make that happen. Early warning, shes not the nicest." She meant it with love but with how possessive that woman is? Oh no. This is coming from Onyx who herself would strangle anyone for even giving Brian 'the eyes'. Imagine what Roxie would do if Mike flirts with someone else in front of her or she hears about it.
"You arent going anywhere." Her tone went back to the emotionless default so its hard to tell if shes joking or not. She knew she wasnt joking though. "Im not holding what you did over your head either, its pointless. I still have you, I can still touch and bite you. Thats all I could ask for." A boop to the nose, offsetting her words. "Love and I are like oil and water, so for you to come along and prove me wrong was a thing I didnt expect. Be proud of that." Onyx being vulnerable? Oh god, she is softening up. "Can easily be fixed if you put your face in my tits. Duh." She retorts, using her thumb and nail to gently graze at his soft skin. Being able to hold him like this brought her peace, knowing she had someone at her disposal and was able to be soft for him. Even if she didnt communicate about what she did, she found this to be a balance. Vulnerable and heart on the sleeve vs a rock that you have to work to open. She cherished him more than he could ever comprehend and she wouldnt tell him that but she would show it. Seeing his eyes grow heavy from her touch, she kisses the top of his head, 'accidentally' healing a small portion of his wound in the process, glad her magic was undetectable in the dark. "Good to know, I missed your skin on mine. Cute to think you call the shots when I have you whining and begging for release. I agree though, cuddling shouldnt have a time limit." While she didnt want to stop, she was nervous she might trigger him again so cuddling might be better for the moment. They can discuss boundaries later on the dos and donts regarding Alymer's take over especially. That made her want to throw him into the stratosphere but she knew her time wasnt right, so patience is key here.
"... It's not so black and white... I mean, I feel pleasure wherever you touch me... Even when you nipped my ear a minute ago, it felt good but my mind just didn't have a chance to register the feeling before I freaked out..." Brian was so moved by Onyx's words about worry, he didn't quite know how to respond. His heart pattered joyously and his eyelids fluttered quick and brief; for a moment it felt as though the juice was being flushed from his system; like he could function clearly again. She wanted him but not the way Aylmer wanted him. The sensation of almost breaking that blue hold he was... was beyond description. And yet all through it he never really resented the parasite. Didn't even want to make him pack his bags. Darn it, he nearly straight up liked having the little guy around in spite of everything bad that had happened because of his being here.
"Maybe Mike's a little... hovery... when it comes to girls, but I've never known him to be crude or mean or anything like that... Still, if you don't think they'd hit it off, that's fine... But leave the violence out of it, next time... I-I don't think I can take any more..." Brian really didn't like to imagine his brother being mutilated; they didn't always see eye to eye, sure, but Mike had shown a lot of patience when it came to Aylmer—and even way before then—when they'd first moved out of their father's place—Mike had sacrificed the single bedroom in their apartment all for Brian's comfort. Brian, though seemingly distant at times, would do anything for his family. He could never choose between them, either, which made the situation with Onyx and Aylmer so unbearable.
Onyx wasn't emotive, but she made Brian laugh in kind. All those quirks of hers—biting, for example—Yes, he saw it as a quirk, rather than a kink—made her so very much distinguishable from other people.
"You will always have me... I hardly know who I am without you... Plus, it's like you say... there's life after this one... I'd find you again..." On the verge of tears over big love and existentialism, Brian's nerves very much welcomed the levity of the tits comment. He swooned at the idea of feeling her heart through his face. It wouldn't mark the first time he'd laid facing her chest, but plenty of time had passed since he could recall being so close to her at all. He didn't want this or the coming cuddles to end.
Considering how Brian loved to be controlled—Albeit by Onyx and only Onyx, and usually just when it came to sex—it's fair to say this was seen as a chink in the armour by Aylmer, and made the young man look like an easy target (at least compared to other potential hosts in the same building).
"I didn't mean it like that," Brian snorted softly, a weak roll of his homey, bloodshot eyes. Onyx tended to be a lot more dominant than Brian by nature, but he knew that was probably due in part to the troubles in the past with men and so he wouldn't have fought her on it even on those times the mongering parasite made sure to leave him starved for control.
As the glowing gap in his head partially healed via Onyx's magic, the infamous 'colours' whispered a few pearls of either wisdom or gloom. They spoke too softly to decipher exactly what was said.
Brian regarded Onyx with a (mostly) contented smile, his head now back on the pillow as his battered body gave in to more needed rest. He held his arms out, gently coaxing her back to their embrace.
"What type of house would you live in if you could have anything you wanted? I've outgrown this apartment is so many ways... Your place is nice but it's your place... I want to find OUR place..." If she was looking close enough, she would probably see that 'our' included Aylmer.
smolcuriouskitten // cont'd [ x ]
Brian didn't face Onyx straightaway but gradually turned his head towards the woman he loved. He knew that making eye contact wasn't an imperative since she seemed to never change her expression (usually) and therefore it wasn't easy to read her reaction to what was being said to her.
Still, he had called her in here and now he was obligated to treat this like an actual civil conversation.
"Well, that's kind of just it-"
The young man practically recoiled when he saw that grin which was, unfortunately, getting to be more and more characteristic. It was also a bit of a 'war flashback' moment for him, as he could recall breaking out into maniacal smiles for no reason at all starting with his connection to Aylmer.
"You and he have been doing an awful lot of talking lately..." Brian sighed, still in the dark as to the light shooting out of his head. Right now he had a rig of saran wrap and tape over it to keep the elements out, but he knew that would only get him so far. Needless to say, hats were a must when out in public. His brother Mike was bringing new fashions over weekly.
"I just don't want you going down the same path as I have, Onyx... And I don't want more trouble for Aylmer, either... It's not any secret how much I've had to pay the cops to keep quiet about things as they are..."
***
The parasite was indeed incapacitated, currently swaddled and sipping chicken brains from a blender cup with a straw, but the severed link between himself and Brian had caused an additional phenomenon; he could now hear all of Brian's thoughts! Even from another room!
Needless to say, the attempted co-conspiring taking place in the bathroom caused unhappiness to swell inside of his blue body. Onyx was his only recourse during these tough times, this he believes wholeheartedly... Aylmer didn't actually posses a heart, instead a heart-like part called the aortic arch, but that's neither here nor there. All that mattered was his will to pit Onyx against Brian because Brain, bless him, was of little to no use anymore.

Steve takes one last look in the mirror and frowns at his store-bought cowboy costume. He looks positively lame, more like a spoilt child rather than a Wild West outlaw. But Robin insists he wears an actual costume because, "putting on sunglasses and saying you are a Tom Cruise character isn't a costume, Steve".
Eddie says as much when he heads over to the new trailer to pick him up. But he has no clue Eddie practically stumbles down the front steps because he's too busy staring at the cow-print chaps that frame his butt in the best way possible.
Steve chooses to ignore Eddie's outfit: a homemade vampire bat costume he had been threatening to wear for weeks. They already argued about its tastelessness when Steve walked into the trailer last week to find Eddie sewing clumps of black furry material to the shoulders of a sweater and sculpting felt ears. But hey, if this is how Eddie wants to deal with them almost dying from the undead Upside Down equivalent... Steve just has no intention of defending him against a gaggle of teenagers when they are all supposed to be enjoying a Halloween party in the safety of Steve's house.
Robin and Nancy have finished the party planning, dressed in a failed couples costume (Robin's neon green jumpsuit and inflatable alien head far from complementing Nancy's impeccable Ellen Ripley). And Nancy is genuinely pissed about it because Argyle and Jonathan are dressed as a zombie bride and groom and look fantastic.
Steve stubbornly spends far too much of the night manning his parent's liquor cabinet for fear the kids will sneak a drink. And Eddie's smart enough to not tell him he saw Dustin (dressed as Gandalf the Grey) and Max (similarly controversial as Freddy Kruger) take a drink from a rogue beer can, gag and set it down on the Harrington's expensive coffee table without a coaster.
Eddie eventually drags Steve away to the downstairs bathroom, intertwining their pinkies, with a "come on cowboy" he'd waited all night to say. He managed to convince him that Will (aka Luke Skywalker) would take over as resident party-pooper at the liquor cabinet - even though Eddie did have to relinquish one Hellfire campaign to the kid so he could finally show off his Dungeon Master skills. Plus, it gave the kid a distraction from pining over Mike (who somehow managed to make Dracula look pathetic).
"You wanna kiss me, bat boy?" Steve asks with a little liquid courage and a blush as he closes the bathroom door and crowds Eddie against the vanity.
"Yes," Eddie says, suddenly completely panicked.
He didn't think they'd get this far considering they had almost kissed countless times before now, but were always interrupted. By Eddie's recollection, the last time was about 78 hours ago outside his trailer when Steve looked like he was about to kiss him goodbye until Max came running over with candy to share.
He leans in but Steve holds up a hand in protest.
"Um, Eds? Your fangs."
Eddie remembers his plastic vampire teeth and claps a hand to his mouth, utterly mortified. He spits them clean out into his palm and dumps them in the sink.
"Dude, ew," Steve says, screwing up his nose.
Eddie wipes his mouth with the back of his hand and rubs his spit-covered palm on his jeans. He then removes Steve's cowboy hat and combs his non-spitted-on fingers through his flattened hair. They look at each other for a moment before Steve leans in and places a soft kiss on his lips. They separate and sigh with utter relief.
They proceed to furiously make out and forget the party outside until someone comes banging on the bathroom door, at which point they exit, entirely flustered and awkwardly duck their heads out of view of whoever it was at the door and head for Steve's bedroom with lightening speed. Days later they find out it was a traumatised Lucas (he dressed as Maverick from Top Gun) who of course, blabbed to everyone before the party was over.
#the thought of steve in a cheap cowboy costume has been plaguing my brain#really had to shoe-horn in all the costumes i wanted to mention lmao#steddie#steddie hcs#steve harrington#eddie munson#steddie headcanon#lilys ficlets#👕🧥

Summary: as you start fresh in a new city, you hope Gotham won’t be the same as the town before. And after beginning a relationship with the cutest boy you’ve ever seen, you really hope things go well - but it all takes a turn when he leaves his laptop open and unlocked…
Author’s Note: I do not support any actions taken in this fic. This is purely for self indulgence - I do not condone these actions in the real world. Stalking is a real crime and a horrible thing to actually do. I’m just writing out my own sexual fantasy.
navigation ✩ part two <?>
Edward had frequented the café you work at almost immediately after you got the job. Granted, that wasn’t long, but seeing such a handsome man everyday gave you something to look forward to.
You’d been pretty down after leaving your hometown - your ex having ran you off. Edward already knew that, though. He also knew his name was Michael and he grew up in a wealthy family - but you hadn’t.
Typical, he thought, some big and rich town boy looking to use a pretty girl for a short time before discarding her and moving on like it never happened.
But - rather uncharacteristically - he didn’t move on as fast as they normally do. He held on, harassed you into quitting your job and losing your friends. That wasn’t enough for Mike though. He wanted it all. He continued with his tormenting until he was satisfied and you had fled town.
Edward made a mental note to compare this man to Icarus, flying to close to the Sun, too greedy for his own good. Edward would make sure his wax wings melted. But that was an issue for later.
Right then he was focused on getting your attention. At this point in time you’d never spoken to each other. At least verbally. In Edwards eyes he just knew the glances over your shoulder meant something more than seeing if he needed a refill.
It was a way of telling him you were interested, you wanted him - just as much as he wanted you.
To be fair, he wasn’t completely deluded. His creep-o brain hadn’t made it all up. You were interested. And you definitely wanted him. Your favorite pastime being filling up his cup, slightly bent over with your shirt undone. This gave Ed a complete face full of your chest.
The best part was watching his face go red but he’d never move his eyes, keeping them set on the one spot. You’d giggle, ask if he was okay, pretend you didn’t know. But you both knew you meant it.
One day you had purposely worn your skirt higher, bending over and letting Ed see your red laced thong. His eyes never left you after that.
Another day you had deviated from your schedule, requested off on a day you normally worked. This threw Eddie of his rhythm. You walked in wearing your normal clothes, one’s Edward never saw outside of binoculars, media posts, and long distances away.
A low-cut, v-neck shirt and tight jeans topped off with Vans and sparkling jewelry.
You scooted into the booth opposite him, smiling. The poor boys expression was one of shock and fear. Were you confronting him? Had you found out it was more than just coming into the café everyday? Did you find out his plans for Michael?
None of it made sense. Why would you be smiling if you had?
You giggled. “I figured since you haven’t asked me out yet we’d just have a date here. It’s long overdue, don’t you think?” He nodded his head excitedly.
Edward smiled at the memory, you’d always been so forward, choosing action over inaction every time. He kissed your forehead and tucked you in.
“Mmm. D’you have to go to work?” You groan from the bed, grabbing his face and pulling him in for a proper kiss. Ed hums and struggles to catch himself as you pull him down more.
He breaks free, panting. “Honey, I’ll be late.”
“I don’t give a shit,” you retort, pulling him on top of you. You wrap your legs around his waist and pull him in, grinding up into his hips. His head hangs between your neck and shoulder. He groans at the pleasure.
“Stay with me,” you plead in a sultry tone, rubbing him with each sentence. “I want to feel you again.”
Your menstruations start to work on Eddie, he’s giving in. He kisses your neck and you feel him harden in his pants.
It takes you starting to unbutton his shirt to bring him back. “My love, I really have to get going. I’ll miss the train.”
You huff and roll your eyes.
“Wait for me?” He asks. It’s a simple question that highlights undertones of a fear you’ll leave.
“Of course,” your voice is so soft it melts his heart. He kisses you one last time.
━━━━ ✭˚ ? >
You’d fallen back to sleep soon after Eddie left. You’d definitely had a long enough night to put you out of commission for the whole day.
You woke to the sound of a notification dinging. You checked your phone to see if it was Edward, only to realize your phone was dry. You look around for the culprit, connecting eyes with Ed’s laptop.
You squint at it angrily, moving to shut the screen but your eyes glimpsed the text appearing. The notification.
‘Local Billion-Heir Dies in Explosion at His Own Estate’ It’s talking about Michael.
Your hand comes to cover your mouth gently as you click open the article. Someone planted a bomb in his house, timed it perfectly to catch him off guard. They also leaked a lot of terrible things Michael and his family had been involved in.
Were it not for his death, you’d say he deserved it. His dirty laundry being aired to the world. Serves an asshole like him right. But he died. You remind yourself. He didn’t deserve death. Even after everything.
You happen to look up and read the tabs open on Edward’s computer. Basic stuff. Netflix, YouTube, and Spotify filling all three of the notes. Opening Netflix brings you to the movie you were watching with Ed last night - interrupted by other activities.
You check Spotify, finding a couple of handmade playlists and artists you could easily guess he listens to. Moving to YouTube you keep the same curious mood, sure it won’t be any different than the previous two.
It’s a video of a man sitting behind a table, plastic and metal pieces of a device scattered before him. You read the title. ‘Bomb Building for Beginners’
You gasp and jump back, knocking over the desk chair.
No. No this couldn’t be right. Just a crazy coincidence. Something for work. He is the head risk analyst at Shuttle Co. Maybe that has something to do with it.
You need to look more. The video is pretty basic, the man states that the video is purely for viewing purposes and not to be followed.
You search his desktop, hoping to find nothing while your heart pounds in your chest and a voice in your head knows you’ll find more.
There’s a file. ‘M.C.’. Michael Collins.
“Please be wrong. Please be wrong,” you beg in a whisper while clicking it.
You’re not. It’s pages upon pages of information about Michael. His parents. Where he went to school. What his hobbies are. Every partner he’s ever had since high school - including you. There’s pictures here you’ve never seen from the press.
Did Edward take these?
There’s also diagrams of bombs, how to detonate them from safe distances, keeping them untraceable…
You feel like your going to faint. Or vomit. Probably both. But some morbid part of your brain is still curious. It still wants to look, see everything Ed has done.
You find more on what Mike and his parents got up to. The files leaked to the press. The Collins’ ran a sex trafficking ring as well as some other extremely illegal incomes of money.
Their story of wealth was bullshit.
Maybe it was deserved. The thought passes your mind for a millisecond before you correct yourself. No. Not good. No one deserves to die like that.
C’mon. You know you wanted Big Mike Collins to get what was coming to him. And based on the evidence, his family was long overdue for a reckoning. The voice in your head persists.
“No! Stop. No one should kill anyone. I’m not defending a murderer.” You hit your temple with the heel of your hand.
You freeze, looking at the clock on the wall, realizing Ed will be home any moment. You scramble around trying to figure out what to do.
Do you take the laptop? Turn it in to the authorities? No, surly they’ll kill Eddie for what he did. You don’t want another murder. Do you leave him a note? Ask him to leave you alone - don’t talk to you ever again?
Your thoughts are interrupted buy Edward’s apartment door opening. “Hey, sweetheart, I missed you.”
His eyes land on your worried expression before flicking to his laptop, open and displaying his plans for Michael. Fuck.
“S-stay away,” you extend your arm in front of your body. “You’re a murderer!”
He sighs, setting his bag down. “Y/n, I only did what was best. You can’t tell me that asshole didn’t deserve his karma.”
“You’re crazy!” Ed steps toward you, palms up in submission. You jump back. “Get away from me!”
You run to the bathroom, locking yourself in.
“Y/N! Y/n, please. Listen—”
“Go away!” You sob, back pressed to the door. Your arms wrap around your knees, hugging yourself.
“He was terrible to you. He deserved to be put in his place!”
“By killing him?!” Your voice cracks and Ed’s heart breaks to hear you so broken.
“You saw the things he and his family did. How corrupt they were. They had it coming.”
“I don’t want to be with you anymore.”
Edward freezes, looking aghast. “I— but we— we’re meant to be together, y/n. Please. I’m yours! Just give me a chance!”
“No. You lost that chance when you killed a man,” you turn to the door angrily, pretending the wood was Ed’s face.
“Please! Open the door!” He begs, desperate. “Let me make it up to you! I promise! I’ll never do it again!”
Silence.
“Y/N OPEN THE DOOR!” He punches the wood dividing the two of you. “Open the door… please.”
The last word sounded so needy it reminded you of the night before. Involuntarily sending butterflies to your stomach and the memories. Fuck this is wrong on so many levels.
You hear his quiet sobs behind the door. Your positions match each other. Backs pressed into the wood, heads leaned back with arms hugging your legs. Everything the same down to the tears slipping down your cheeks.
“I wanted you to feel safe with me,” Edwards voice is hoarse and pathetic yet somehow still erotic. “I knew you’d never feel secure with that asshole still out there. I knew your fears of him coming back and breaking us up. But y/n, I’d never leave you. Not for anything.”
Against your better judgment, your heart warms at his words. How much he cares.
He’s demented! The logical side of your brain tries to reason. But the irrational side is giving in, sending heat to your core at the sounds of Eddie’s panting.
“Please don’t leave me,” fuck his begging is getting to you. If he keeps it up your logic won’t last long.
You both sit in silence for a moment. Fuck it.
You stand and Edward turns at your noises just in time for you to open the door, looking down at his pathetic form on the floor.
“Y/n- please I—”
You lean down and kiss him so fast he has little time to breathe. You place your hand under his chin, pulling him up. He struggles between standing and not breaking his kiss with you, scared it’s the last.
Once he’s up and his face above yours, his hands make their way to your jaw - holding you close. You press your tongue into his mouth and Eddie hums. Your jaws move in time, used to each other.
“You said you wanted to make it up to me?” You say parting from Ed and allowing him to breathe. He’s panting hard.
“Yes! Please! Anything. I’ll do any—”
“Get on your knees.”
His pupils dilate. “Yes ma’am,” he hits the floor immediately. You know this is wrong but - fuck - the way he’s looking up at you, glasses fogged, hair a mess, waiting.
“Take them off,” you gesture toward your shorts and he obeys. Grabbing the hem and tugging them down hastily. “Underwear too, Ed.”
Just your demanding tone alone has Eddie hard as a rock in his slacks. Once he’s done as he’s told, you smile and pull your shirt over your head.
He’s watching your every move like a hawk. Never taking his eyes off you. He sits with his hands in his lap, waiting for further instruction.
You run your fingers through his hair, lightly grabbing a handful.
“Go on,” you look him dead in his eyes. He knows what your saying and he follows. Opening his mouth he connects with your already soaking wet pussy. You’re both still keeping eye contact while his tongue starts to work on you.
You lean your head back and moan loud when he presses through your folds, flicking your clit. You use the hand full of hair to push him harder against you.
He moves his hands from his lap to your hips, massaging circles in the bone. Your legs go weak at the feeling of him working his tongue on you, knowing exactly how to press and push to get you closer.
You moan his name loud enough to feel the echo through the tiny apartment. You’re both panting, with you singing his name out repeatedly - sprinkling in bits of yes and swears to fuel his desire.
Eddie decides your not pushing hard enough and uses his grip on your thighs to pull himself into you with such a force you almost lose your balance.
You pull his head back by the hair and Edward moans at the pleasure, breathing heavy. You kneel down, bringing yourself to his level. Your lips connect again and you hum at the taste of yourself.
“Get on the bed, love.”
He nods again and stands at once, making his way to the beaten mattress.
Edward lays flat, patient for you, yet nervous most of all. You climb on top of him, raising yourself above his body. You reach into his side drawer and pull out a pair of fluffy handcuffs you never got around to using last night.
You gently take his wrists in your hands. “You gonna be a good boy for me?”
He gives a small, yet eager nod, doe eyes trained on yours.
“Words, baby. Use your words,” your voice, Ed notes, is gentle - like rain, or sunshine.
“Yes. I will.”
“Good.”
You lock his wrists in place, pulling the cuffs through the metal of the bed-frame.
You climb down his body, pushing his shirt up above his chest and moving on to his slacks, unbuttoning them as you place a tender kiss to the happy trail just above the low hem-line.
You take his pants and boxers down in one fluid movement, letting his impressive erection fall to his stomach. The poor boy already leaking pre-cum onto himself.
You bite your bottom lip and smile.
Once his pants are off you settle between his knees, taking his length in your hand.
He’s already pretty vocal. Moaning at the pleasure of just your hand on him. You knew he hadn’t done much before you but fuck you loved this.
You pump your hand once, rotating your hand and rubbing your thumb across his slit before moving your palm back down.
Fuck the moan he gives in response is enough to make you cum. It’s whinny and needy and silently begging for more. But you can tell from just this it’d be easy to make him cum.
You lift his cock up and lick a long stripe from base to tip, locking eyes with him as you go.
“F-f-fuck, ah…” his hips shake as his head falls back.
“You like that, baby?”
“God— fuck. Yes! Please…”
“Please, what, love? What do you want me to do? Anything for my sweet boy.” You brush his sweat-soaked hair from his forehead.
Already sweaty? Damn. You had more of an effect than you’d thought.
“P-please… keep touching m-me. Please,” he struggles against his restraints, wanting desperately to touch you.
“As you wish.”
You continue moving your hand up and down, rotating and pumping at an agonizingly slow pace.
He’s whimpering now.
“Mmm. Uh. More… please?”
“More? I’m using my whole hand, I can’t use more of that.”
He moans again as you stop your hand to grab his balls, squeezing them into your hand along with his shaft, letting them fall out of your grip as you move to pump him again.
“Mouth… use your mouth, fuck. Please.”
“Like this?” You ask, giving him an evil look as you wrap your mouth around the tip of his dick, swirling your tongue and humming.
“Y-yes. God— more, please,” he looks pathetic; his arms are straining against the handcuffs, face contorted in pleasure, hips shaking, chest sweaty.
You decide to stop teasing. Taking him more and more in your mouth, sinking down on his cock.
His exclamation of pleasure doesn’t fall on deaf ears, that much is evident by the pool of arousal dripping from your core, down your thighs.
You use your hand to pump what few inches you can’t take. He groans, long and whinny.
“F-fuck…”
You hum, sending vibrations throughout his base. You start to bob your head at a pleasant pace, not wanting to torture him anymore.
A string of curses leave his mouth along with hums of your name.
You dig the nails of your unoccupied hand into his thigh, leaving crescent shaped indentations in Edward’s skin.
He hisses at the pain mixing with pleasure, groaning when you drag your fingers down, leaving red scratches as you go.
You scoop his balls into the same hand that’s holding his length, squeezing them together.
“Fuck, baby— I’m close. Please— shit!” He interrupts himself when you spit on his tip, using your free hand to work it down his shaft and back up to the head of his cock.
You pull away from him, not ready for him to finish yet. Reaching up to the restraints at his wrists you unhook the claps and free him from the cuffs.
Ed’s hands immediately fly to your hips, shoving his face into your breasts - which happened to be positioned perfectly above him.
You smile, humming at the pleasure, and sit back on your heels. Edward follows you up, eyes locked on yours the whole time, mouth never leaving your tits.
His arms wrap around your body, Ed pulling you as close to him as possible. You run your hand through his hair, scratching his scalp along the way.
“Such a good boy for me…” you trail off, flashes of what was happening before all this coming to you. Reminding you of what he did.
Fuck this is wrong. Twisted in every way imaginable. But isn’t this what you’d always wanted? A man willing to do anything for you - not afraid of your big and rich ex, not worried of Mike coming for him because of you?
Your thoughts are interrupted by the pleasure of Ed pushing your hips down, grinding you against his erection.
“Fuck…” you’re more sensitive than you thought. Edward moans with you at the feeing - sending vibrations through your chest.
“C-can i— um- could i…”
You look down at him expectantly, his doe eyes locking on yours, he’s pleading with you to understand what he’s trying to say so he doesn’t have to speak it out loud.
You know what he wants, but it’s so fun to hear him ask. You play dumb.
“Could you what, baby? What does my pretty boy want?” You brush your hand through his hair and down the side of his face, cupping his chin.
He smiles sweetly at the nickname. “Can I put it in?” His voice is small, insecurity laced in his tone.
“Of course, baby.”
He nods quickly, reaching beneath you and aligning himself. You help him; leaning up, pushing your chest more in his face (though he’s not complaining), moving your hips to get him adjusted right.
You sink down slowly onto Edward’s cock, groaning and the sensation of him stretching your walls.
“Ah-h— uh…” he moans in your ear, trying his best to calm his heartbeat, or even steady his breathing. To no avail.
The sight of you, completely naked, cock pressed into your cunt, and blissed out will always have this effect on him.
“F-fuck,” he shakily groans and you rock your hips back and forth. He keeps looking between your face and where your bodies are connecting, unsure of what to focus on.
“Please… fuck. Y/n, please keep going. God! Don’t stop…”
You wouldn’t dream of it. Because fuck he feels amazing. He’s deep enough for you to feel his cock pushing into your cervix.
You lean in and capture his lips in a heated kiss. You push your tongue into Ed’s mouth, moving your jaws in time with each other.
You soon move your face to his neck, biting down. He exclaims in both shock and pleasure. You keep your teeth sunk into his skin until your satisfied with the mark that will be left.
You push Edward back, making him lay down again. You lean back, looking toward the ceiling. Edward wraps a hand around your breast and pinches at your nipple.
You moan at the mixtures of pleasure he’s giving you.
“Fuck, baby. Squeeze them,” you instruct. He does as he’s told. Using both hands to squeeze your tits, massaging them and occasionally rubbing your sensitive nipples.
You lean forwards and Eddie’s hands move to gently hold your hips as your fingers wrap around the columns of his throat, cutting of his circulation.
His head feels dizzy as you expertly roll your hips down onto him. A strangled moan leaves him and you don’t let up on your movements.
There’s a knot forming in your stomach, but you can tell Ed is closer to cumming than you.
You tighten your grip on his neck when you feel his cock twitch inside you.
“Fuck… can I- can I cum?” Edward’s squeezing his eyes shut, concentrating as hard as possible.
“Cum for me, baby. I want you to finish inside me. I wanna feel you filling me up.”
And just as he tips over his own edge you release his throat, allowing the blood to flow back to his brain.
Eddie cums deep inside you, holding your hips down to his.
The moan he gives is pathetic and needy, high pitched as he breathes out your name.
Ed uses his hands to move your hips, making you grind a few more times on him.
You slide off of him, feeling hollow without him in you.
You let him catch his breath, smiling down at him.
“Did you..?”
You shake your head. He looks upset.
“Don’t worry, love. You’re helping me with that. Right?”
He nods aggressively.
“Good.”
You move to position your core above his face, looking down your body and into his expectant eyes.
“You’re going to eat me out until I cum. Got it?”
“Yes ma’am.”
Edward hooks his arms behind your hips, resting his hands on your inner thigh.
He stretches upward licking through your folds, pulling a moan from deep in your chest.
You push yourself down onto his face, relishing in the feeling of his tongue pressing inside of you. His nose grinding into your clit.
“Mm, fuck. Ed… just like that.”
He makes your hips grind into his face, causing pleasure to erupt throughout your body.
You look down at him, eyes connecting with his as you grab at his soft blonde locks. Ed moves to your clit, sucking and lapping at the sensitive nub.
Your moans are like honey to Edward, sweet and gentle. He feels himself grow hard again. He didn’t mean to but— fuck you taste so good, so sweet, and your noises, and the way you look right now— he couldn’t help himself.
“Eddie… baby… I’m so close.”
He almost misses it, too lost in thought. Almost.
He slows his pace, pressing his tongue flat against your clit and working it up and down. Even strokes bringing you close to your release but not fast enough.
You take it into your own hands, grinding down onto his face and getting the force you desperately crave.
The knot in your stomach tightens and pulls until you believe it truly can’t anymore.
You tug on Ed’s hair, pulling out a moan from his throat. That’s what draws the rope in you taught. Releasing on Eddie’s face, squeezing his head with your thighs as you cum, shaking.
He laps it up, devouring your climax and anything left. Fuck you taste so fucking sweet.
You huff and pull yourself off of him. Eddie is smiling hard, satisfied with your pleasure from him. You land beside him, turning your head to Ed and matching his smile.
You kiss him, tasting yourself. He leans his full body into you. “Are you hard again?” He looks ashamed of himself.
“C’mere,” you tug him on top of you, letting Edward prop himself up on his elbows before he slides into you.
“It’s gonna be a long night, huh?” You giggle and Eddie smiles back at you.
“I sure hope so.”
━━━━ ✭˚ ? >
You wake beside Edward, smiling as you tighten your grip around his torso. You run circles on his skin as your mind wonders.
This was so wrong. You’d just knowingly slept with a man who committed murder. He killed a man. And he was unfazed. If it’s all so bad… why don’t you actually feel bad about it?
He’s so sweet. And he loves you, that much you know. He’s willing to do anything to keep you safe. You love him too. Nothing should get in the way of that. And Michael? That sex-trafficking, abusive asshole deserved it. He had it coming.
Thank y’all for reading !! Had a lot of fun w this one but please remember that I condone none of these actions and it’s purely fantasy!
