even now, I can't believe that it's really gone. I started playing on NA when it released, and then moved to JP after the english servers shut down. but even before that, I was aware of this game- watching transformation videos and looking up plot synopsis on the wiki.

7 years is a long time. a lot happens. and this game has remained a companion for me throughout the ups and downs of that time

when I thought about what I wanted to do to say goodbye, I wanted to create something big, bold, that'd truly express how much it means to me. But in the end, EOS depression hit hard, so here's a sketch of the mikazuki villa girls instead. I'll probably still create that big piece of artwork sometime.

there's a lot of stuff I still want to create for this fandom, so I won't be going anywhere for a while. plus, I want to finish watching most of the stories that I haven't yet caught up on.

In the end, I guess moving forwards is pretty mundane. something's gone, and I'm gonna be sad about it, but in the meantime there's meals to eat and chores to do and life to live. It's how I think about the villa gang moving forwards after Iroha goes away- moving forwards one step at a time.

I'm not sure if I'll be playing excedera or not- right now the idea seems kind of overwhelming, and I think I'll wait to see more about the gameplay and story to see if I'll be interested.

but for now, thank you, everyone in this fandom who helped turn this madoka gacha game into something truly special and meaningful.

For the ask about a character thing: Mia

Oooh, interesting. I didn't expect to get a question about Mia! Let's see...

Favorite thing about her: She comes off as so wise and competent but when we see her inner dialogue, she makes it clear that she doesn't feel wise or competent; she's just a god-level bullshitter. I think that makes her more relatable.

Least favorite thing about her: I wish she hadn't dedicated her whole life's work, even leading to her death, for a mother as selfish and weak as Misty. From a character aspect I understand, Misty was her mom and Mia loved her. But she deserved better. I guess that's more of an issue with Misty than Mia though...

Favorite line: "For a lawyer, the worst of times are when you have to force your biggest smiles."

Brotp: Mia+Maya

Otp: MiaxDiego, I guess. Idk I'm not really passionate about any Mia ships

Notp: hmmm... I guess MiaxPhoenix? They just don't have a shippy vibe to me, even if Mia did call him cute in the Japanese version of AA1-1

Random headcanon: Mia can put away ramen burgers even better than Maya can

Unpopular opinion: ummmmm I can't really think of anything ^^;;

Song I associate with her: Mikatsuki by Ayaka. You could think of it as a Miego song, or even familial with Maya or her mom. Just get ready for pain 🥲

Shine Bright

Two nights of festival fun have passed and the last day begins. Despite the.... blackout from last night and terrible headache he had this morning, Sougo is, for lack of better words, better. As good as he can get after dealing with his hangover on his own anyways.

He is relieved that it is a calmer event than the previous two evenings. Unexpectedly though did he find himself in companionship with Mitsuki in this place. Which he is grateful for really, the other brought a sense of relief and calm that he feels is much needed right now.

He doesn’t want a repeat of last night for awhile....... or ever, if he had his way.

“It’s a lovely night out isn’t it. I hope nothing bad happens tonight.”
