cherry, my fellow and favourite aussie. <3 i love you with my entire heart and i love your characters just as much, so choosing just one was a challenge. at the end astoria won because her and cho’s friendship ? they truly own my entire ass. this almost went to parvati because honestly speaking, she’s an underrated favourite of mine but you execute her so perfectly just like you do with the rest of your characters. believe me when i say that it’s not even an exaggeration, as i’m sure that i speak for everybody here when i say that your characters are so detailed and it’s one of the many things that i love so much about you ! not to mention your writing, i am forever in awe. i could go on and on, but i just love you and your characters so much. <3

MIKAELA KARKAROFF, PLAYED BY LEX.

this spot was originally going to be for ismene, but i chose kaela because i love her so god damn much and how iconic she is. not to undermine how much i love ismene because she has a special place in my lil heart and always will. <3 lex, you’re honestly one of the most funniest people i’ve met and i love the one liners you come up with when it comes with kaela. i’ve still yet to come up with how i can slide connections for her with any one of my girls, but seeing you on the dashboard in general is always such a joy and ilysm !

PANSY PARKINSON, PLAYED BY RACHEL.

without exaggeration, choosing only one between all of your characters was another great challenge for me, because i genuinely love every single character that you’ve brought in. whether they’ve been a canon character or an original character, you always manage to make them so different from one another, and bring so much life into your characters. i enjoy all the ideas you come up with, and seeing them come to life on the dashboard so much more ! you are truly one of the most creative people i’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, and it’s always so fun writing and coming up with plots with you. antigone and cho <3, nazli and cho <33, ginny and fleur <333, hande and fleur <3333 they are all so very dear to me and my heart. i love your characters so much, and you even more !

SEAMUS FINNIGAN, PLAYED BY ZIGGY.

ziggy, i honestly enjoy reading your writing so much because everything that you write sounds so chefs kiss ! seamus finnigan is an underrated character that you portray so perfectly, and there truly isn’t anyone that could play him as well as you do that it’s as if you’ve made up this canon character all by yourself. you’re that good ! jeremy allen white is also such an underrated, but absolutely hot take to have for seamus, and it works so well. i love him so much. <3 i can’t wait to come up with more plots and connections with him ( and the rest of your amazing characters ) for cho and fleur !

OLIVER WOOD, PLAYED BY MAEVE.

oliver wood, my favourite himbo character. <3 i feel like that isn’t what you were going for when it comes to oliver, but for him and cho’s dynamic, that’s how she and i see him. maeve, i don’t think you understand just how much i love your characters, but oliver really takes the cake for this round because of how well you’ve written him up. and because darren barnet is such a perfect faceclaim for him and i will never shut up about it ! i love the banter they have between each other and they are honestly my comedic relief friendship. i can’t wait to come up with more plots and connections with him, and the rest of your characters !

ORIANA TRELAWNEY, PLAYED BY CHRIS.

i don’t tell you this enough but i honestly am in love with oriana and cho’s dynamic very, very much. the fact that we have like four different threads going at the same time for them is a testament to just how much they mean to me! one of my favourite moments with you are coming up with oriana’s first prophecy together, and you telling me that you had never watched harry potter and you were running off everything rachel was telling you ahsjfajaf. you continue to be one of the most funniest people i know and ily a lot, chris !

"i must really look like shit for you to care," and honestly, whether kaela is aware of the good she does or not in that moment, this realisation is for the best. it spurs pansy into action in a way nothing else has ; forcing her to stretch out stiff limbs and sit up straighter despite the protesting of her spine, to run a shaking hand through her birds nest hair and rub the sleep from her eyes, smudging the mascara lines on her cheeks all the more. her clothes aren't just wrinkled but dirty from where she hit the ground and everything that came after. she does look awful. self diagnosed. she wasn't admitted as a patient, after everything, and she hadn't wanted to go home, so it's been a very long night of waiting for the clock to finally hit visiting hours. she must've dozed off - not an easy task in the plastic chair she'd settled into once she'd lost her third receptionist fight - for so much more time to have passed than she realised. a glance at her watch tells her they're a half hour away, and mikaela's presence says that the garnering of public favor is already in full swing. "i'm fine. i'm lucky," it's the first time she's ever been able to say that, and pansy swallows hard around the lump that forms in her throat before she puts voice to the truth for the first time and tells her unlikely friend, "theo saved my life. he's okay. he wasn't bitten or anything, but they admitted him. i've been waiting to see him. are you...?"

call him old fashioned but this wasn't really what he had in mind when he was invited to a charity match. granted, this was a few hours before the match; something he'd rarely had the chance to witness from the non-player side lately; so maybe this WAS the norm and he just didn't know about it. still, something tells him that having someone judging your every move as you try to set up your tent is NOT really part of the british quidditch customs but he could be wrong. "uh..." he lets out a soft sigh, as he finally manages to successfully attach the poles into their corresponding places. "it is done, i think..." his eyes flash to kaela, already expecting a comment. "mikaela-" he murmurs beneath his breath, grip tightening on her arm the moment that it becomes clear that she moves with the intent of leaving. he lets eulalia step away from him, other arm unwrapped from her waist, but in the same motion gives the universal gesture for a second, please to the sea of photographers that descended after the snitch was caught in hand - one finger held up high to see, an apologetic sort of smile twisting at his features. a camera flash betrays one of the slower to react, the picture snapped sure to appear in tomorrow's broadsheet, but antonin ignores this in favor of pivoting them both away from the prying eyes of those media vultures and pulling her fully aside. "we have a private home booked near dublin for the night. there's room enough for you and your brother, if you can find him," his gaze, steady to now, flickers towards her waiting guests, "i would like not to see you and your... new friends faces in the tabloids, tomorrow morning. it would be a pity to see all the good work we've done here, today, undone with a scandal."

"probably none of them. it's hard to get to minister without stepping on a lot of people, and his son is a fucking nightmare - he broke a ceramic sink with someon's skull, once. didn't pay for the damage, either," it's like he needs to get all that out before he can allow himself to admit, with great difficulty, "mikaela's alright. she's got, uh... something going for her, you know ?" and sure, his limited knowledge of mikaela karkaroff's being OUTSIDE of her howler profile probably means that 'something' is a massive pair of [ redacted ], but...

it's much too childish to walk right up to kaela and ask, feeling mildly unwell, are you mad at me? - especially when she suspects the answer might be yes, or, if she hasn't seen her date, that it'll BECOME a resounding yes once she does. luca picks at her fake nails and works herself into knots trying to decide how best to break the evening's ice, wondering if it's best to just wait until tomorrow when it'll just be a memory. there's nothing inherently wrong with it, after all. they're just friends. friends that know each other carnally, but... well, mikaela's familiar with that concept, so luca's sure she'll at least get that. and he's her landlord. and something her best friends godfather. that part will be the sticker, she knows, and she's pretty positive she SHOULD just let it play out and wait until the next day, but when there's just so much good gossip surrounding them that she's finally in a position of indulging, luca just can't resist the pull into her best friends orbit. and also, unfortunately, the sick and twisted instinct of a simple, "are you mad at me?"

a small flute of champagne is dwarfed by pax's hand as he observes the minister from the drinks table, a look of smugness almost forcefully placed upon his features as he watches the older karkaroff schmooze and act the minister the wixen world waited for. he'd laugh if he weren't surrounded by those blinded by his act. "i'll bet you 5 galleons he boasts about you during his speech, kaela," playfully elbowing the younger karkaroff, pax smirks.

"always the toasted, huh ?" unaware of how closely she dances to a rather sensitive subject, astoria gives mikaela an incredibly exaggerated frown and what is supposed to be a comforting pat on the shoulder ( though her automatic over familiarity probably doesn't help it come across that way ). she's dressed the part of a beautiful princess, crown and all, a perfect & tragic vision for the stake she also won't be burned at tonight but had far less hopes of, than the other. for all her faults, she's NEVER been too much of a sore loser - there's always next year ! "i think you'd have been a wonderful choice. i've always thought that, though. and you'd think that after you almost got torn apart by that werewolf that your dad had to kill you'd have at least earned some pity points with the judges-... though i suppose, if you didn't get it after you broke off your engagement then you were never going to get it based off of that-" she only breaks to suck in a deep breath, clueless to the end and only pivoting to a new thought because she herself is feeling a little parched, "we could get a drink, if you want. just two runners up having little drinkies, thinking about what could've been and waiting for marietta to go up in smoke- it'd be fun !"
