Ancient Magus Bride finally has a new season in the hands of a new studio, Kafka, which directed the side stories earlier last year. With a new studio, director, sub-character designers, and art director, how did they do?

They did a pretty great job if you ask me. I recently rewatched the entire Ancient Magus Bride, and while there are definitely some differences, like in the composition, which looks a bit brighter than usual in some shots, with a larger contrast between light and shadow however the show's atmosphere and designs feel overwhelmingly the same as the last season, which is great. I was super excited about this season, and I was not disappointed.

The beginning shot of the episode was incredibly mesmerizing and a great representation and reminder to fans of all the curious, dark, yet whimsical magic world the story takes place in, taking us from beautiful color crystals to the deep underwater, and eventually through the mysterious hallways of a magical school.

Kazuaki Terasawa's direction in the episode heavily relied on the control of lighting and shadows. Throughout the episode, windows were utilized at various points to create a contrast between light and dark rooms, resulting in meticulously intertwined lighting that helped create a sense of space and emphasize the impact of the situation without the need to show the room or the characters' full expressions. As a result, every scene felt like it had a significant sense of importance.

Additionally, the direction in the episode also focuses on close-ups of the eyes and reflection, which creates a slightly unnerving vibe. Despite the world of Ancient Magus Bride being beautiful, this technique serves as a subtle reminder of how this world can also be frightening at times.

The episode had all the elements of why people love Ancient Magus Bride in the first place, and I believe moving the story from Elias's home to the new environment of magic college is a great change of pace and I can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Check Out Mawaru Penguindrum Idol Unit Triple H's Three New Songs in Special PV

    The forthcoming CD "RE:cycle of the PENGUINDRUM MUSIC COLLECTION" to be released on July 20 includes three new songs by Triple H, the three-member idol unit from the Mawaru Penguindrum anime franchise. A three and a half minute special PV introducing the songs along with memorable scenes from the latest compilation film is now streamed on YouTube.

  The members of Triple H are: Himari Takakura (CV: Miho Arakawa), Hikari Utada (Marie Miyake), and Hibari Isora (Yui Watabe). Although the unit was never actually formed in the anime story (Hikari and Hibari made their debut as Double H), they performed Japanese rock band ARB's cover songs as the anime's ending theme and insert songs.

  The album includes "ROCK OVER JAPAN - Triple H featuring Purin-Chu-Penguin" that adds Sumire Uesaka's performance as Purin-Chu-Penguin, as well as "YELLOW BLOOD" and "Factory," which were used in the first part of the TV anime's two-part compilation film, Re:cycle of Penguindrum.

    Following the first part released on April 29, 2022, the second part of Re:cycle of Penguindrum, "Boku wa Kimi wo Aishiteiru" (I Love You), is scheduled to be released in Japan on July 22, 2022.

Đức giành hai HC vàng, củng cố ngôi đầu ở Olympic mùa đông

Những đợt gió lớn tại PyeongChang tiếp tục ảnh hưởng đến khâu tổ chức ở ngày thứ năm Olympic mùa đông 2018. Trước sức ép từ các VĐV và giới chuyên môn, nội dung slalom nữ của môn trượt tuyết alpine và nội dung cá nhân nữ của môn biathlon (kết hợp giữa trượt tuyết và bắn súng) phải bị hoãn đến ngày 16/2.

Do vậy, chỉ có bốn bộ huy chương được trao trong ngày 15/2. Không có bất ngờ xảy ra ở nội dung cá nhân đổ đồi 10km của môn trượt tuyết Bắc Âu khi Eric Frenzel bảo vệ thành công HC vàng. Akito Watabe (Nhật Bản) giành HC bạc và Lukas Klapfer (Áo) giành HC đồng. 

Niềm vui tiếp tục đến với đoàn thể thao Đức khi Tobias Wendl và Tobias Arlt bảo vệ thành công HC vàng nội dung đôi nam môn luge (trượt băng nằm ngửa). Đây là HC vàng thứ hai của Đức ở môn này sau chiến thắng ở nội dung đơn nữ. Đôi VĐV Áo Peter Penz và Georg Fischler xuất sắc về nhì trong khi một đôi VĐV Đức khác là Toni Eggert và Sascha Benecken giành HC đồng.

Hà Lan tiếp tục thể hiện sự thống trị ở môn trượt băng tốc độ. Jorien ter Mors vượt qua hai VĐV Nhật Bản Nao Kodaira và Miho Takagi để chiến thắng ở nội dung 1000m nữ. Thành tích 1 phút 13 giây 56 của ter Mors phá kỷ lục Olympic  do Chris Witty lập ở Olympic Salt Lake City 2002.

Trong khi Hà Lan toàn thắng cả năm nội dung trượt băng tốc độ, Mỹ thể hiện sự áp đảo ở môn trượt ván trên tuyết. Shaun White chiến thắng ở nội dung halfpipe nam để mang về HC vàng thứ tư cho nước nhà. Ayumu Hirano (Nhật Bản) giành HC bạc còn Scott James (Australia) giành HC đồng.

Dự kiến sẽ có 10 bộ huy chương được trao trong ngày thi đấu thứ 6, hôm 16/2. Trong đó đáng chú ý có cuộc đua 10km tự do của môn trượt tuyết băng đồng nữ và nội dung đôi nam nữ của môn trượt băng nghệ thuật.

Germany still ahead in medal account with 2 gold on Wednesday

And potentially more to come on Wednesday evening. The United States sit fifth in the total medal count.

The Winter Olympics are in full swing, and Germany leads the medal count, but just barely. They have 12 total medals, but their real advantage is in gold medals, of which they have seven. The Netherlands and Norway both have 11 total medals, but have five and three golds, respectively.

In the early morning on Wednesday (at least for those of us in the United States), four gold medals were on the line in the Nordic Combined Normal Hill 10-kilometer, the Speed Skating Women’s 1000-mete, the Biathlon Women’s 15-kilometer Individual and the Luge Doubles competition.

The United States didn’t medal in any of those events, though one where they have a chance is the biathlon, which was postponed due to heavy winds. Medals were handed out in the other events though, and Germany, once again, cleaned up nicely.

Germany’s Tobias Wendl and Tobia Arlt took gold in the doubles luge, while Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken, also of Germany, took bronze in the event. It was Peter Penz and Georg Fischler of Austria who managed the silver. Germany’s Eric Frenzel also took the Nordic Combined event, earning the gold ahead of Japan’s Akito Watabe and Austria’s Lukas Klapfer.

Finally, the Netherlands added to their speed skating dominance when Jorien Ter Mors won the women’s 1000-meter, ahead of Nao Kodaira and Miho Takagi of Japan.

Canada is fourth in the total medal count with 10, including three gold. The United States and Japan both have seven total medals, but the US has four gold, while Japan have none.

Multiple medals will be awarded on Wednesday evening and we’ll update this post when that happens.

Aoashi, trailer e tutti i dettagli sul nuovo anime sportivo in arrivo da aprile 2022

La storia a tema calcistico di Yugo Kobayashi sarà portata in tv dallo studio Production I.G.

Pubblicato da Shopro un primo teaser trailer di “Aoashi”, che ci svela qualche dettaglio in più sulla serie animata, ispirata all’omonimo manga sportivo di Yugo Kobayashi.

Attualmente in lavorazione presso gli studi PRODUCTION I.G (Haikyuu!! L’asso del volley, Fena: Pirate Princess), l’adattamento debutterà sulle tv giapponesi ad aprile 2022.

Con il video è stata svelata anche una prima locandina ufficiale per l’anime.

Andando a parlare dello staff, la regia della serie è affidata ad Akira Sato (Release the Spyce) e della sceneggiatura si sta occupando Masahiro Yokotani (Free!, All Out!!). 

Come direttori d’animazione sono messi in campo Manabu Nakatake (Sket Dance), Toshie Kawamura (Karneval), Asuka Yamaguchi e Saki Hasegawa, che curano anche il character design con l’assistenza di Naho Seike, Yukiko Watabe, Miho Daidouji e Eisuke Shira. Le musiche, invece, sono composte da Masaru Yokoyama (Taiso Samurai, Farewell, My Dear Cramer).

A supervisionare l‘aspetto calcistico ci sono Kenichi Takeshita, Jun Soga e Kenji Iizuka.

Ashito Aoi è un giovane aspirante calciatore di un paesino sperduto del Giappone. Le sue speranze di entrare in una scuola superiore con una buona squadra di calcio, però, si infrangono quando causa involontariamente la sconfitta della sua squadra, che finisce per essere eliminata dal torneo. Ciononostante, cattura l'attenzione Tatsuya Fukuya, un veterano della celebre Tokyo City Esperion ed attuale allenatore della squadra giovanile. Tatsuya vede in Ashito del vero talento e lo invita ad entrare nel suo team.

Hana Ichijo: Maki Kawase (Junko Konno in Zombie Land Saga)

Il manga a tema calcistico viene serializzato sulle pagine della rivista Big Comic Spirits dal gennaio 2015 e attualmente Shogakukan ne ha raccolto i vari capitoli in 25 volumi.

La storia si basa sul concept iniziale ideato da Naohiko Ueno. L’opera è stata premiata agli Shogakukan Manga Awards del 2020, come miglior titolo nella categoria generale.
