Castlevania Netflix's Fatal Flaws

I don't hate Netflix's Castlevania, but I do dislike how it's basically representing the series as it is seen today. It's practically taken over its identity, and that's tragic for a few reasons.

It feels like it doesn't want to be Castlevania. Warren Ellis seemed to want to make his own animation I.P. with the ideas he and the team presented, but an actual fan of the property convinced them to put the name on there so people would watch it.

How it changes course so drastically. Season 3 builds up some interesting ideas for Season 4 to pay off, and yet when the latter season came around, those built up ideas were an afterthought. At least when Dragon Ball had a change of course, it tried to keep what was established before relevant to the new story developments.

I'm tired of many saying: "Fanboy and Chum Chum failed after being canceled with two seasons. Nickelodeon missed its opportunity with Cartoon Network's Adventure Time."

Nick selected FBCC much earlier (c. 2004) and gave it FOUR SEASONS (12–13 eps each, like many Frederator co-productions). It ran for less than five years (2009–2014). Networks count things differently.

The same goes for CN, except they chose to expand Adventure Time's lore in Season 5. Nick decided not to.
