main verse / the boys: the youngest and newest addition to the seven. grew up in a christian household, put in the limelight early through various pageants and such. was in a car accident involving her older brother as a teen, in which she was the only survivor. this, combined with her childhood — and her neurodivergency makes ophelia come across as cold, robotic; fitting to her powers which are essentially that most of her body ( beneath her skin ) is mechanical, though simultaneously alive. she regenerates at almost any injury and can shape her limbs into various weaponry. she does what vought tells her to do, because it's what she's used to, but her loyalties are fragile. gen v: the ice princess of godolkin. would be at the top of the rankings if they were solely based off skill and studies, but she lacks in charisma and popularity with the other students. would most likely side with cate and sam at the end of season 2.

am i the only one who's scared to ask their parents for money even though they said it's ok to ask them for money. but at one point i just adopted the thing they do when they say they don't have money for stuff...and to the point that i'm here going to have a break down. but then again the friend that i'm compering myself to is kinda rich so it's ok if her allowance is more 1.5k/2k a week and she can just ask her parents for money if she's buying something that's either school related or art related....but then again i'm over here bc i'm just very scared to ask for money bc like- i can starve myself so i can get more money- it's not a big deal to me i've done it many times but then again i don't want to seem like a money grabber if i were to ask them for money bc i wanted to buy things to start up a new hobby like jewelry making like those girls on tiktok but then again if i use any of my money i now have to save up to get to the goal of getting 10k (i forgot to say this is in php) to spend on a wedding that's going to happen in Sydney(it's in two years) but now i worry that i might not buy the stuff that i want to bc i will only have 200 aud(exactly 272.85 Australian Dollar) and that i will have left over money bc i'm scared to use my money. i know it's pointless to try and cry over money bc i normally get 100php as my allowance but then again i commute to go back home and if i calculate how much money i will get each month; 1 week = 500 (but -100 bc we won't start until aug 29 and there's no telling how many more days will there be no school this year except for the many goddamn holidays) 500 x 4 will be 2,000 but my commute is normally 30 php so 30 x 5 = will be 150 each week. and 150 x 4 = 600, and 2,000 - 600 = 1,400 but we don't know about the school expenses, dates in where there's no school and i...sometimes even indulge in eating snacks and then i will lose money......i can ask my parents for money for the school stuff but it just feels weird and they're already working hard and they still have to pay off the house and i'm just so goddamn scared...and now there's the topics in where my friends will ask me if we can hang out...i know my mom gives me money but then again i will have to give her the change of the money so i just literally just try not spend anything when hanging out with my friends. i don't really know what to do, i want to but stuff i like but i still need to save for the wedding for two years and i'm not even sure if i'll like the things they're selling there....like- i will probably buy a few stuff but then get scared bc then i will only have a like money that won't really let me buy stuff...idk i just haven't calculated the amount of money that will be needed- i actually asked my mom if i can just get my hair cuts during the free haircut program my school has to let them save money since i don't want them to spend too much money since they already brought me my mac book..and they still have to pay the house, i mean- we aren't broke, my father has a well-paying job and my mom- has her dental clinic and her teaching work...my father is still working on his lawyering business ...like- by no means, we aren't broke..we just....let's just say during the earlier years of my childhood, my mom was still trying to save up money since i used to do to a private school and now i'm here in a public school, trying to not get kicked out since everyone in the school is on scholarship and during the first year they can remove you from the school if you get an average of below 85% (and this is a science-based school by the way) idk i just think they're doing so much yet i can't do anything that well...i don't like singing even though my mom tells me that i sing pretty good...my drawing isn't as like impressive unlike my friends and even my paintings, they surpass me in it.....like- i don't really have anything talented in me that will take me apart from the crowed except for the fact that my irl last name is normally the last one in the list and- i think that's the only thing that's different about me.

can we do the drama aunt just one more time? so i've been with my gf for 3 years. we moved in together a while ago because I was moving from my childhood home (had been planned for years) and she was moving out of our ex's (who turned out to be an abusive asshole after she displayed ptsd symptoms). so things are going great but then she loses her job like 3-4 months in. I tell her it's ok I was earning enough to keep us both afloat for a while and she had been having a hard time trying to keep her full time job while her symptoms flared up.

so she takes a few months off, getting unemployemnt and I'm working and things are fine. Then I change jobs and we move out to a new, bigger place and we're still doing alright but things are a little tighter when she loses the unemployement benefits. she has to be hospitalized because she had a bad panic attack in public and reacted violently so the cops detained her. she spends like 2 weeks in the psych ward and then when she comes back she's severely depressed. she feels like she's ruining things, she feels like a failure bc a 30 y/o should have her shit together right?. so I tell her to not worry bc I'm here for her.

flashforward a year and she's still a bit shaky but recovernig from the depressive episode. she's been told she's in the spectrum and she discovers she might be a they actually. so they go on a bit of a self-discovery journey and discover they might actually like to do artistic stuff for a living. I invite a friend over for lunch (let's call her A). A is generally a good person I hold her very dear to my heart but A is completely ignorant on mental health stuff and still very confused on the whole gender stuff. She was also raised evangelical which will make the shit she pulled next really fucking ironic. So A meets my gf and decides she doesn't like them. A says that my gf is taking advantage of me with this psych stuff. A says I'm working for two people when Gf should do her part. I get upset I tell her that as far as I knew partners supported each other right? even when things were difficult, even when there's no fucking money, even in sickness and in health right? and doesn't she work to maintain her father who is a pastor and hasn't worked for the family for the ten years i've known her?

She gets upset then saying that that's her family so she actually has to do something and I tell her well Gf is my family and I'd appreciate it if she left whatever. A and I stop talking but we still follow each other in social media and shit. A constantly posts about abusive relationships using economic power relationships for personal gain etc . Another friend messages me and tells me they think I'm in an abusive relationship. I tell her I don't understand why. This friend tells me that my Gf is taking advantage of the fact that I can work. I tell this friend that that sounds stupid but they say I'm being gaslit or something.

I start to think I might actually be in an abusive relationship but idk I don't understand. I google it and the internet is very vague about this. I don't know what the hell is happening. I start to think I might actually be the abusive asshole. I have a nervous breakdown that ends in me deleting all social media for like a year.

I lost my job. I got another one. I lost it. I bounced between jobs for almost a year. Then I get a good job that pays well. During this time Gf has decided that maybe she doesn't have the artistic abilities to do anything and stops trying to sell their art. They get into trading, buying and selling collectibles. I loaned them some money to start but then it became a self-sustaining thing. They pay me back and we go on a trip. During this trip A messages me asking how things are with Gf. I tell her things are actually good, she's got a business we're doing well, we adopted two cats. A loses it telling me my Gf is trying to tie me to them and that maybe this codependent relationship needs to stop. I ask her to explain me how because I really don't understand (my psychiatrist has suggested I might also be in the spectrum since I can miss social cues constantly). A says that Gf is manipulating me into thinking I am in a good relationship. She knows this because her ex did this with her. I ask her what ex but she doesn't explain.

I try to explain this to my psychiatrist whom I'm visiting because the lithium is making me sick and she needs to adjust my dose. She starts asking me questions about my relationship and I tell her. Yes, I knew she had ptsd when we started living together, yes, she did lose her job and spent a long time without one, yes she is in psych treatment. Then she asks me about my friend. yes, she's been in a bunch of toxic relationships, yes, she's been very vocal about my gf, yes, she's the same one that once tried to tell me my abortion was an offence to her god. my psychiatrist tells me she thinks A is not actually a good friend.

I try to talk about this with other people who know A to see what they think but I get told time and time again that A is just trying to help that I'm actually wrong about her because my Gf has turned A against me. My Gf doesn't even mention A, I tell her. This friend, who is actually a psychologist, then tries to convince me Gf must be doing it in my sleep.

I try to talk about this with another psychologist, one that I actually pay money to see and she tells me that she thinks my friends may be in a cult and they are trying to make me join them by separating me from my family (who is my Gf but also my sister who I don't speak to so much bc she lives a glamorous ER nurse life). I tell her it can't be possible because doesn't a cult need a leader or something? Psychologist tells me A is probably the ring leader.

So two nights ago I was making a playlist about songs from my country and I was kinda drunk and I messaged A to ask her what songs I should add. I tell her I kinda miss her and the way we used to meet for coffee and pie and she texts me back the next day saying she misses me too and I should add such and such song to my playlist and are you still dating Gf? I tell her I am and she doesn't respond. Then she sends me a link to a blog about abusive relationships and how many husbands stop working when their wife finds a job etc and I didn't reply.

I remember the thing Psychologist said. Now I can't stop thinking about if she is in a cult or not or if my Gf is the abusive one because I think she got in my head.

Second of all, I'm a bit funny with money because I think it's okay to support a partner but it's so vital to make your own money incase a relationship goes wrong and you have no out. It's not an abusive relationship if one person financially supports a partner if they are in a committed relationship and they see longevity in the relationship. I think it's important you set boundaries as well though. It's good your partner has somewhat recovered and is making their own money too.

Neo moves to Vinyl with army buddy Tati Kulra, joining Vinyl City Interpol.

Neo and Tati meet Kliff, who is annoying and hates Neo. Kliff works in the robotics and bomb-defusing department.

Kliff is fired after revealed his involvement in illegal trade. Selling confidential blueprints to willing buyers. Kliff flees Vinyl City.

Kliff joins a constantly moving circus under a new alias and uses his skills to build robots for the circus.

Tati becomes Chief of Interpol while Neo decides to pursue wanted criminals as a bounty hunter when rumors pour in about Kliff's whereabouts.

Kliff blackmails the ringleader to gain leadership over the staff.

1010 is made by Kliff and is immediately warped to Kliff's liking.

5 years pass as 1010 is subjected to abuse and neglect from Kliff.

Neo is clued to Kliff's location as the Circus takes place in the woods outside a town neighboring Vinyl City.

Neo discovers 1010 trapped in cages in the backstages, hell ensues.

Kliff almost escapes by carjacking, but Neo shoots out the tires and catches Kliff on foot.

Tati quarantines the Circus to arrest and interrogate the staff and meets 1010.

Neo and Tati agree to remove 1010 from the circus.

Neo moves 1010 to a secure, secluded home closer to Vinyl City.

Tomic is begged by Eve to move to a less light-polluted section of the city and becomes Neo's neighbor.

1010 hate Tomic, the ones capable of moving freely (Red, Green, and Yellow) pull "pranks" on Tomic. ("Pranks" Kliff pulled on them back then.)

Tomic pranks them back (much to their fear and then confusion) with harmless pranks. Russel stops after a bit when he acknowledges Tomic isn't a threat. Belle and Bella become intrigued with the safer pranks Tomic uses and ask for advice to tone down their "pranks".

Shiro (White) is blind at first and needs glasses to see after regaining their sight. Before getting repaired, they'd rely on wheelchair usage to get around. This became less used when their legs became manageable.

Shiro, some point after regaining their sight, finds Neo's progress photos of 1010's original state to their current, fixed states and suffers an emotional relapse. Becoming depressed when they realize how badly they were mutilated by Kliff's alterations.

Neo had to keep photographic evidence of their repairs to give to Interpol as they handle Kliff's charges.

Manny (Blue) has an appetite and chews on everything. Their favorite treat is gummy fruit snacks. The straight coat they wear stays on, even after solving the appetite issue, as they're frightened of what their hunger might urge them to do if he overpowered Neo...

At one point, Manny stresses out too much and eats a bit of his own arm before snapping back from his hunger urges.

Belle (Yellow) and Bella (Green) -before gaining separate bodies- seemed to be fine after being removed from the circus. After getting separate bodies, they show severe signs of separation anxiety. They have their own shared room, but Neo keeps finding them in the same bed most nights. But slowly they learn to be comfortable sleeping in their own beds.

Russel is a constant flight risk, but can't run far (at first) since the weeds and flowers growing out of their body heavily impairs their body movement. After being repaired, Russel runs away the first night they can. He comes back after they suffer a mental breakdown and trusts Neo enough to hug him.

Tomic comes around often to give Neo groceries and spend time with the boys. Shiro and Manny get to see him more and notice how easily Neo and Tomic get along.

The boys, in a confused way of saying thanks, start trying to set up Tomic and Neo.

I have the most books out of everyone in the family, but they’re all either lined up or stacked in random points in my room because of said lack of shelves. Why did you last smile? Andrew Ilnyckyj finally has a new cooking videoooooooo, which is the main BuzzFeed content I watch these days. I think his last one had been posted in January, so I’ve been feeling pretty starved for some new Andrew content.

Do you have a close relationship with your immediate family? I’m not close with them in that I don’t feel shy about kissing/hugging them or confiding in them; my family are not those people for me. But like we don’t fight (anymore) and we’re able to have pleasant talks over dinner, which is as close as I’d possibly ever get with them. 

Idk, we were ultimately never able to cultivate an emotionally strong relationship with one another, which I’ll always feel bittersweet about; but at least I now have a blueprint of how I’d want to build my relationships within my family, should I ever have one of my own.

If I gave you twenty bucks what would you do with it? Use it to pay my sister for the drawing commission I asked her to make. My total bill comes up to around that amount, anyway.

If dinosaurs could be tamed, would you want one as a pet? Nope, they can stay in the wild.

Do you crack your knuckles, neck or toes constantly? I crack my knuckles the most and my ankles as well. Never my neck and toes.

Are you constantly catching colds or other sicknesses? No, I rarely get sick.

Is there a movie from your childhood that you still watch today? I do an annual Toy Story rewatch because it’s my absoluete favorite kid’s movie. I will also always be in the mood to watch The Game Plan, which I watched every single weekday after coming home from school in like the 3rd grade.

Have you ever seen The Rocky Horror Picture Show? Nope but this has been on my list for years. Just never gotten around to downloading it and finally seeing it for myself.

Where do you do most of your shopping? I usually go to small, independent businesses that sell trendy pieces for a lot less, but I also drop by H&M from time to time. Once I feel secure enough with my savings I also wanna be able to start shopping from Zalora because they have really nice brands over there as well, haha.

Are you afraid of mice? I don’t imagine I would be since they’re tiny and cute. I’m afraid of house rats, though, especially considering how big they can get D:

What type of souvenir do you usually purchase when on vacation? I typically don’t get souvenirs for myself, but this is also because I’ve never traveled solo. My family collects magnets from all the different places we’ve been to though (and also from my dad’s work travels), so our fridge doors are filled with them. 

Do you vacation often? Yeah, my family would usually take 3-5 trips a year, usually around the country and sometimes out of; but of course we’ve had to put a stop to it since the pandemic blew up.

Are you comfortable wearing your pajamas in public places? The only place I’d be comfortable doing so is at the nearby McDonald’s, since I’ve seen residents from my village come in there wearing their PJs or housewear. Otherwise no, I’d rather dress up.

What's your favorite candy bar? Twix!!!!!!!! And while they’re not technically bar-shaped, I love Reese’s Cups too.

Do you own more than one copy or edition of a book? Hahaha yeah. I have two copies of Twilight (one is from my boxed set, another was given to me by a childhood friend, Maryrose) and Breaking Dawn (one is also from my boxed set, while the other one is the special white cover edition given to me by Angela).

If you could see any musical on Broadway right now, what would it be? Miss Saigon. That’s the only musical I’m into.

If you could put any person or characters face on money, whose would it be? I definitely want to see a woman’s face on a dollar bill or coin sometime in the future. < Oh man, this is a pretty good answer. We do already have women in our P500 and P1000 bills, but they’re accompanied by men :/ It’d be neat to see a woman take over a bill/coin all on her own, like Gabriela Silang.

The place that you'd most like to be right now is where? God I really wish I were out in a coffee shop right now but I have to saveeeeee. I’ve been meaning to check out this nearby cafe that also doubles as a co-working space (which means I can do work there without feeling guilty or anxious that I’m taking too much time there, yay), and I might visit next week.

Do large crowds make you anxious? Depends on what the context is. If I find myself in the middle of a stampede that’s quickly going ugly then I will definitely start to panic; but if I’m at, say, a concert, then personally a bigger crowd means a better experience for me.

Do you own a helmet of any sorts? None of my own, but we do have a helmet for our bike.

Will you willingly sing in front of other people besides your family? No unless a huge sum of money is up for grabs, lmao. I’ve only sang in public once, when my mom made me do a solo number on my 7th birthday.

What's in the box? Yeah, I’m not feeling creative enough for this question...

Does your family generally decorate for most holidays? No, only for Christmas.

Would you take the chance to be Nancy Drew or The Hardy Boys for a day? Eh, I’d pass up on the offer. Mystery isn’t my thing.

Do you eat soup when you're sick? No. I prefer to drink lots of water as I usually lose my appetite when I’m sick anyway.

Is there a specific mug or coffee cup that you have to use all of the time? I don’t have to use it, but I’m in love with the mug Angela gave me just this past Christmas. I use it all the time now.

Have you ever watched Doctor Who? No, but I don’t think it’s my kind of genre or show.

Do you prefer to do your shopping online or in person? If I already have an idea of what I want to get, I prefer to get it in person. But if I need something oddly specific and have no idea where to start, that’s when I start to look for online shops or go to Shopee or Lazada altogether.

If you read, which book or series did you enjoy most as a child? Angie Sage, with her Septimus Heap series.

Do you read tour guide type books before you visit places? It’s been a while since I’ve traveled extensively, and when I was younger I didn’t really read into tourist guides. Now that I’m older, I do want to start reading up before visiting a different country – not necessarily about the best places to visit, but more about the culture and practices I have to observe. I remember being reprimanded by a Korean when I tried to snap a photo of something I saw while out in public in Jeju, and I don’t want to do something like that again.

How do you get rid of your hiccups? I hold my breath, which is a trick taught to me by my mom. Not always effective, but it does work sometimes.

Is there one saying that you've adopted from someone/somewhere else? I’ve picked up “Awesome!” which was Gabie’s catchphrase. My former director also liked saying “Anywhoooooo” when she wants to digress, and I’ve since adopted that into my vocabulary and mannerisms as well.

Can you lie effectively and smoothly? Yes, but I feel like shit every time I have to.

Do you buy Halloween candy when it's on sale after the holiday? No, I don’t enjoy candy anyway.

Why is your favorite teacher your favorite? She taught beyond her curriculum - music, which isn’t even part of my top 30 favorite subjects - and always made sure to inject a little bit of useful life advice in all her lessons.

Who can never fail to make you laugh? Hans.

Do you agree with the "they're just being kids" excuse? No, especially if the kids in question are already 16/17 year olds.

How many pets have you had in your lifetime? Countless goldfish, one chick, one rabbit, one cat, two birds, and two dogs.

Would you kindly recommend your favorite movie to me? Two for the Road shows a realistic take on love told through cars and a non-linear tour around Southern Europe. If you’re into that and Audrey Hepburn’s pretty outfits in each scene, definitely check it out.

This is an AU I wrote on the todomomo discord server eons ago. Anything posted to this blog will be transcripts of old original work and not really edited, save for formatting. I have no guarantees if I will ever finish these AUs either so these will only be kept as an archive.

OK @xharu‘s tdmm psycho pass au fanart got me like 💡💡💡 all day at work so like ASHFJGLS JUST TAKE THIS IDEA VOMIT

ok so part of me wants to have Inspector!Momo and Enforcer!Todo but also Inspector!Todo makes so much more sense

esp if All Might and Endeavor are high ranking inspectors in the Public Safety Bureau

So like lets go with Inspector!Todo that needs to live up to his dad's reputation and very-good-at-her-job-but-not-always-confident Inspector!Momo as a team leading Division 1

That consists of Todo, Momo, and KamiJirou as enforcers and two others idk I haven’t decided yet

BUT ANYWAY Inspector!Todo takes his job very seriously like Gino in pp s1 bc not only is there living up to Endeavor's reputation, its also making sure he doesn’t fuck up his psycho pass bc he’s not the first one to walk down the MWPSB path

Bc knowing me, ofc im gonna throw in Dabi there and ofc its going to be Dabi who was the first one to become an inspector for the MWPSB like Endeavor and ofc his story is that his pp falls down into latent criminal status and he’s demoted into Enforcer

And duh Endeavor is disappointed af that his eldest became an Enforcer and thus becomes that trash dad he is putting pressure on Todo to do better than his brother

And this is just more backstory not related to tdmm but y’all need context so.....

Dabi's an Enforcer who somehow manages to run away from house arrest in the MWPSB while on a mission and goes into hiding bc duh Sybil's got eyes everywhere

So on the run Latent Criminal Dabi manages to join up with Shigaraki's gang who are also a bunch of LCs hiding underground, and you can guess the rest but also more on that later

Ok back to tdmm:

Todo always tries to keep his crime coefficient at like 65 bc it really doesn’t go any lower considering he is under stress and he knows and that makes it worse so ya really like s1 Gino

Momo's good with her pp like Akane is so honestly it keeps around 20-30

(And for those that didn’t know, crime coefficients: 0-100 = you’re good, 100-300 = latent criminal, 300+ = Sybil doesn’t like you)

And Jirou probably hang around 110-120... Kaminari probs a little higher 150ish and part of me wants to make him like Kagari whos pp has been above 100 his whole life but nah im not gonna do that bc that’s playing the trope card

Anyway........

Kendou, Tetsutetsu, Monoma and Yui and idk who else from 1-B make up Division 3 bc must have Class B in there and KendouMomo friendship okay

OKAY now then......

AfO is criminally asymptomatic (aka is villain af but Sybil doesn’t recognize his CC as what it really is) bc ofc he is

And guess what, Shig is too

So AfO nurtures Shig into a master manipulator n all that bc ofc he does bc "they’re both special"

And ofc AfO learns the secret of Sybil and becomes part of Sybil too bc y’know that’s how it is

But Shig doesn’t know that and he’s on a mission to find out where adoptive criminally asymptomatic mastermind dad went

But really this story will be Shig v Deku's team cuz gotta keep it organic

And tdmm's team will be v Dabi BC Y’KNOW

Makishima's role from the original pp will prob be divided between Shig and Dabi bc ya, sure, Shig is criminally asymptomatic but Dabi was an Inspector and knows the ins and outs of MWPSB so that’s why he joins Shig so they can play the system

So like, pp s1 there’s a bunch of cases that tdmm team goes thru thus:

1) one of em is Overhaul who runs a drug ring selling drugs that artificially lowers one's psycho pass

2) Gentle whos been quarantined his whole life in rehab bc his pp has been 100+ his whole life but breaks out bc he just really wants to be an Inspector of the MWPSB

And now the meat of tdmm is that they've been partners for a long time on Division 1 but even though they’re the same rank Momo relies on Todo too often for decisions on how to handle a case and Todo's always under pressure from Endeavor, he doesn,t ask for help when really EVERYONE CAN SEE IT. HE NEEDS MOMO AS HIS EMOTIONAL CRUTCH

Okay so idk what he actually did to incite the case (probably tried to bomb smth tbh) but the general idea is after tdmm team runs into Dabi and they confront him like Kogami + Akane did with Makishima at the tower. Basically, Todo loses it with seeing Touya becoming Dabi and tries to lethal eliminate him but ofc Momo knows that’s not the right thing to do since Dabi's coeff isnt 300+ yet and has to stop Todo but also stop Dabi from getting away

And Todo seeing Dabi makes his pp creep up reaaalllly close to 100+ which is Todo's greatest fear

So. Momo in the moment has to like throw the dominators away, tie up Todo or smth and knock out dabi all in a split second

And then finally todo comes to his senses while tied up and collapses on the floor like "im sorry.... thank you Momo. I believed in you"

And she collapses on the floor beside him too and they both kinda just put their heads together to take a moment bc ahsjjdslfs the whole situation was just too much

AT THE VERY END FINALE (assuming Dabi escapes like Makishima did or smth) WHEN TODO FINDS HIM, DABI'S GONNA BE LIKE "Im happy it ends this way and happy you found her bc I didn’t have someone like that to keep me afloat under all of dad's pressure"

(Note: whatever "ends this way" entails has yet to be decided)

(But he’s not gonna die and im not making Todo a killer)

this story could end with him leaving the country like Kogami did

And hey y’know what. lets do that. He escapes. that’s a re-occuring theme here lol

FOR FUNSIES:

The blossoming romance w Momo is what keeps Todo’s pp down. like it gradually drops from 65 to 40ish and he doesn’t notice it as plot and romance goes on until the very end when, the day after the finale when Dabi escapes, he wakes up, has an Official Date™ w Momo and then checks his pp later which suddenly is at 40

Qjdkkfsk how funny would it be if every time Todo thinks pervy thoughts of Momo his pp tracker spikes up from 40 to 70+ and whoever checks the trackers see it 😂😂😂

Bakugou just happens to check the monitors as Deku walks in like "Kacchan lets go its our shift" and Deku sees it too and he gets worried and consults Iida who talks to Kaminari bc he’s on Todo’s team and it goes around the MWPSB like wildfire among all the guys

So going out for drinks later is like 8 of them sans the Enforcers and really, most of the time Deku and Bakugou have their pp under control but when Todo tells them abt that moment, everyone is too sh00k and then THE WHOLE GROUP'S PP GETS TOO HIGH AND CAUSES AN AREA EFFECT ADKJDFJDAHSFK

the iinspectors themselves instigate a psycho hazard and the enforcers that stayed back, particularly the girls are like what the fuCK Guys

It probably becomes an inside joke among all the guys some ways down the line. they had to do their own damage control and it was A Disaster™ 😂😂😂

Aizawa is still the captain of the ship in this au bc even though he’s basically Saiga and retired, All might & Endeavor tell bkdk and tdmm's team to consult him bc he has really good insight on cases

and when Aizawa meets tdmm when they consult with him over Dabi's case he's so ONBOARD

And mebbe helps out with Todo's pp problem like dropping hints that hey, y’know, mebbe your partner can help - in more ways than one - if you just listen to her instead of tryna bottle it up all yourself

kamijirou has had a bet for how long it'll take them to fuck since they've been assigned under tdmm

Aizawa joins in on the bet

And honestly Bakugou probably does too only bc he gets pissed off looking at the unresolved sexual tension and being the victim so he wants to win

the golden son (and only son) in the family, definite daddy issues but his parents at least liked him and treated him well since he was supposed to be the heir, unlike hélène with whom they didn’t even bother 

hervé grew up like hélène with the romanov’s and was (is????) in love with anastasia buT it could never be (tainted love) as they were of different status and she was betrothed/married jehan and then he went to war and was betrothed to nadine (still working out when that was exactly but before he died/disappeared)

then rewind to about three years ago when he got taken prisoner on the outskirts of a coalition country (tbc) and....

he met the general from the coalition whom his father rostislav pavlovich had been selling information/conspiring with/being blackmailed (tbc) by for many years 

dressed in all his russian duke uniform deal, he learned hervé’s name and mr. naughty general man was like *prime opportunity to ruin rostislav further* hoping to take hervé for ransom/get money out of rostislav and killed all hervé’s comrades leaving him (strike one for hervé feeling guilty)

now comes the letter hélène saw her father read to them

they thought it was the death notice BUT it was actually a letter from mr. naughty general man being like *it’s ya boi i’ve got ur other boi send me some moneys pls*

basically rostislav made up hervé's death rather than saying what really happened bc he couldn’t have the family knowing what he’d been doing/how he knew the man/bring shame upon the family/be marked for treason/etc., SO he forged the death notice and told hélène/the rest of family that hervé died and his body was missing (saving his own skin, even though hervé was the ‘golden son’, in the end rostislav was always gonna save himself)....BUT hélène responded to the news by poisoning his dinner (so it backfired - and the truth died with him)

meanwhile hervé’s being kept prisoner by mr. naughty general man –––– until news reaches them of rostislav’s death (hervé still doesn’t know it was hélène) and mr. naughty general man was like ‘might as well make the son work for me now’ and threatened hervé that if he didn’t obey/do so that he’d send someone to kill the family including hélène and his sisters and hervé wasn’t having none of that 

so hervé was like ‘i don’t have a choice’ but also relieved for the opportunity to disappear, etc. and after what hélène had said (wishing him dead/hating him for leaving) he thought he was doing her a favour (actually he thought he was doing everyone a favour, anastasia and nadine too)

he was sent to various entente countries by mr. naughty general man (i really need to come up with a name at this point) to carry out his dirty work, acting as a spy and offering information as his father had

he cast aside his name, cut off all his curly locks, and became ‘dominik lisowski’, posing as a polish soldier and lived in poland for most of the time

while living there he happened upon a polish family which had been slain by coalition soldiers only leaving the young son józef and just as hervé had been given a new start, he felt the boy needed one too/couldn’t leave him there to be killed, and so in his heart adopted the boy as his son/but to others was just like he’s my apprentice/prodigy, etc.

in the years since his ‘death’ he has been doing mr. naughty general man’s bidding serving as a ‘spy’ in various places around the holy roman empire but mostly poland (if anyone found out he’d be killed for treason...and the family name tarnished, maybe even the entire family killed for being the children of a conspirer ––––– i warned ya about the pavlovich curse) but posing as a soldier and though it is in the war, living life to the fullest free of aristocrats and burdens and living the simple life (is fishing in poland a thing??? him and józef definitely go fishing and live on a seaside town)

until he lost contact with mr. naughty general man when news was received of the deaths in switzerland and the sultans disappearance (details around this are tbc...but it ain’t the last we’ve heard of him mark my words and he gon be mad @ hervé for leaving)

mother pavlovichna will pass away over the next few days (hélène is yet to receive word) and he has mostly returned józef’s sake in case something is to happen to him (eventually it might)...so hélène is now aunty hélène and even though her and hervé are like bitter/etc. she wouldn’t hesitate to look after him

also the engagement with nadine will be back on now he’s returned

tbc but there will be some conflict i imagine between stefan in his efforts to secure the engagement w hélène and hervé wanting to stop it

also i think as far as hervé is concerned he just thinks he is ‘missing’ and didn’t know that everyone was told he was dead?/ 

and leading on from that uncertainty around the peerage/dowry/etc...and which sibling is the head of the family (probably going to remain with hélène idk)

anw he’s going to really struggle with returning to royal court after so many years/coming to terms with duty once again and how to talk to people 

also living on edge in case what he did is discovered or mr. naughty general man returns (he will)

and hélène will be refusing to speak to him/accept he’s back/etc. so twin dramas

Long ago when the world was created, small pieces of shiny fragments called innocence were scattered around the world after the great flood. One in particular was called the Heart… When people discovered this “Heart” it was somehow split into two halves- two sisters with large, white wings. Adam and Eve cared for these two…. until the day the Earl came. He stole half the heart. This part of the Heart *aka Dark (obviously)* was raised to become an enemy towards the human race. After about 200 years of being raised, the kidnapped part of the heart had become so sick and twisted with evil, that her wings turned an ominous black.Her sister, on the other hand, had learned how to survive on her own. She worked in a town called Mater building dolls, playing with the children, and helping those in need. *holy beep what a do gooder* Her wings may have stayed white, but they seemed to glow even whiter with every good deed she did.Soon, after about 400 AD, the two were locked in a supreme battle. The pure side thought her sister had betrayed the human race, but in reality she was only kidnapped and manipulated to kill. (NOTE: The Earl taught her that the human race was a foul thing, and it needed to die off)) From what the Pure girl had said, the Dark girl had turned on her “father” and killed him. Or so she thought…Now, in the 21st century the Earl is back and even stronger than before. The two girls have been doing all they can to keep him from sending the universe into utter chaos and causing the complete destruction of the human race…

Yes! @dreamxng-forever and I constantly crack jokes about our eereree characters. Her princess is in love with the time prince, but she forgets he is like…. Chloe Lockwood. I created her in like sixth grade. First OC. I projected a lot onto her. Even though we was good at a lot in school, she was bullied a lot. She felt alone, but she had one really good friend who cared about her a lot. It’s something I went through when I was in elementary school. 

20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details  (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?

Hazel and Hades sing a lot together. Hazel sounds a bit like a higher pitch Meg from Hercules. Hades has my voice essentially. Both are basically parts of me in a sense of like… idk. everything. Hazel is my more like…. Confident, get-shit-done side and she doesn’t take a lotta shit. Hades is more my sensitive side. He was affected differently by what the two went through I guess.

21. Your most artistic OC

Wendy. She draws flora and fauna when not in the lab. She probably owns an etsy or something.

Hazel- She isn’t COMPLETELY stone cold and Hades really isn’t just a shy ball. Hazel can be vulnerable but doesn’t like it a lot. Hades really can fight. He’s just scared to. He isn’t totally helpless. Mr. Wicca is not good and pure. He is actually a terrible person, but Wendy keeps him under control. 

23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?

Hazel started out as having my dead name, much more feminine, and likes dresses. Now, she has some form of pixie cut or something punky, REFUSES to wear something to feminine because of her mother, and is also Filipino rather than white. Hades also became Filipino. Or they might be Japanese. Idk. 

 24. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why?

I’d like to meet the time twins. They’re both parts of my personality. Idk.

Mr. Wicca has been practicing magic for as long as he can remember. He’s about 500 years old and keeps himself young with necromancy. His assistant, Wendy, is an elf who is a few hundred years old. Both work together create potions and elixirs that they give to the time twins to sell. Mr. Wicca dyes his hair lavender to keep out any silver while Wendy dyes hers blue for fun. Mr. Wicca wouldn’t be anywhere without Wendy, and he sees her like the little sister he never had.

#47: Season 1, Episode 1 - Swap.com

A true piece of Even Stevens history right here, guys! This was the very first episode to air... ever! It premiered on June 17th, 2000 (yes, 17 years ago!!!) and introduced us all to a baby-faced, comedic boy wonder Shia LaBeouf. And a bright, young actress (pre-Kim Possible) Christy Carlson Romano. 

Strangely enough, our first glimpse into the Even Stevens-verse is an episode centered around a one-off character. Louis desperately wants to possess a rare trading card. Ernie Morton, the school nerd, owns the card and is willing to give it up for a price: A date with Ren. 

This one opens with Louis and Twitty at school in some computer/Geography hybrid class. As their teacher begins a lecture on Afghanistan, we get the very first actual dialogue of the series, and it’s pretty good imo:

Teacher: Now, if you turn your attention to Afghanistan... Louis: [shouting at the computer with joy] YES!!! Twitty: Louis, it’s just Afghanistan. What’s the big deal?

Of course, Louis isn’t celebrating over the wonders of Afghanistan. He’s talking to someone online who’s willing to sell him what’s clearly supposed to be a knock-off of a rare and highly coveted Pokémon trading card. This is so funny in retrospect because the entire planet was playing Pokémon Go! last year. Points for maintaining relevancy! But basically, Louis really wants to own a Roaring Drycon... Which is not a Pokémon, but is definitely supposed to be a Pokémon:

It turns out, the seller of the card is none other than Ernie Morton. A frankly nasty, unhygienic, arrogant, nerdy creeper to say the least. Thank god he’s a throwaway character and only here for this one episode. He tells Louis that the price he’s asking for is a date with Ren. 

Louis says to himself: “Why couldn’t he just ask for something easy? Like my mom’s Volvo.” - This is a small, but interesting parallel to Boy Meets World and was only brought to my attention when I read through this ranking of every BMW episode. Apparently, Cory puts on music, Topanga asks where he got it from and he says “I don’t know. It came with my mom’s Volvo.” Idk. Like I mentioned before.. there are a few (stronger) similarities between the two shows. I might even start a similarities tag, lol. But, yeah. This really stood out to me for some reason. 

There’s a scene where two girls approach Twitty all flirty in the hallway and Louis makes them run for this hills after awkwardly shouting “WAAAZZZUUUP?!?” at them. (Which I’m assuming is a reference to the classic Budweiser commercial that premiered in 1999 and became a popular catchphrase.) I’ve seen so many gifs of this. I’m even guilty of using one on my about page. Louis tells Twitty that he made the deal with Ernie, explaining “Ernie just wants to hang out with a popular girl, and I happen to live with one.” Once again, reminding me that Ren is supposed to be popular! I still think it’s cool that she’s not the stereotypical, vapid popular girl you usually see though. 

Ren really wants to beat this chick Adrienne Dunmore for Service Volunteer of the Month. She’s currently falling behind her and needs to work 4 more hours over the weekend. We see another one of Ren’s early placeholder BFFs, an Asian girl named Jewel. Random, but both of Ren’s placeholder best friends were minorities. Doesn’t really mean anything, lol. Just something I noticed.

Ren staring at Adrienne all green with envy after checking their volunteer hours. But, can we talk about how Ren’s entire bellybutton and stomach is showing?! What the heck, Disney?! I know it was in style I guess. But, for an 8th grader? Also, aside from it being purple... It doesn’t really seem like something Ren would wear. Probably just a first-episode hiccup.

And here’s Jewel. She’s also very peppy like Charlotte. 

We see the Stevens family at home that night celebrating Ren’s birthday! There’s a pretty funny bit where Donnie gives Ren various pictures of himself, blissfully unaware of how narcissistic he is. The show makes good use of this later on. One particular picture of Donnie “on vacation” is seen on Ren’s bedside table in After Hours! I love good, subtle continuity! It helps make their world feel a little more real. 

Donnie’s gift in this episode. 

...and here seen in S1, E13. This is actually pretty funny. Another photo he gave her of himself playing baseball can be seen in the bottom/left, too. Haha, perfect. The only weird thing is that it looks like she has some strange Donnie shrine, lol wth. 

Louis obviously forgot to get Ren a gift and tries to play it off by saying “I got her a thing. It’s a very very nice thing. But, I got it over the internet. These things don’t just pop out of the screen” with a mouth full of cake. It’s funny, but also a little sad. Steve says “Oh, Lou. Not again...” (which I hear perpetually in my mind whenever Louis messes up) before the entire family clears out of the living room -- disappointed as he rambles off his excuses. Oh, god.. I’m seeing shades of Uncle Chuck. 

Louis is wracking his mind trying to come up with a way to get Ren and Ernie to hang out together alone. Once he gets an idea, there’s a bit where he knocks on her door to tell her. It’s been gif’d a bunch and is a very popular post on here. Being clever (and selfish) he tells Ren there’s a program called “Adopt A Friend,” where you hang out with a needy young person for a day as some form of community service. Okay, I’m actually dying now that I have to write this out, oh my god. LOUIS!!!!!!! He tells her that Adrienne Dunmore is considering doing the non-existent program, which piques Ren’s interest. We get a voiceover of Louis telling her about Ernie, blatantly lying about the kind of guy he is. Using words like “nice, giving, helpful, and great!” This is juxtaposed against a montage of the real Ernie doing various things that are the complete opposite. He’s basically the worst kind of human. 

Cut to the mall now! Ren meets Ernie and wow he didn’t even try to look good.

I can tell ya one thing -- If this was The Bachelorette, Ernie Morton would not be receiving the First Impression Rose. 

For whatever reason, Ren treats him like a special needs child or something? Talking to him in simplified English, slowly and loud as if he’s deaf or has trouble understanding. Louis said he was NEEDY! Not impaired in some way! (Well, maybe socially impaired...) This bit is kinda funny but it’s also kinda like... Wut. Anyway, Ernie takes Louis aside and gushes about how he can’t believe he pulled off this date. He does this really creepy/annoying thing where he sticks his tongue out constantly and I hate it. Ew. 

But, yes. Ernie is under the impression it’s an actual date. He even says he’ll only give Louis the trading card after he gets his “goodbye kiss.” Problem, indeed.

Louis spends the rest of the mall sequence sneakily running around like a freaking stalker... hiding in plants and behind newspapers -- to make sure Ernie doesn’t try anything, and that no one from school sees Ren and Ernie together.

The worry in his eyes and lack of discreetness is making me laugh harder than anything else. 

Ren spends 4 hours with Ernie and actually ends up having an okay time. She genuinely thanks him for “a wonderful afternoon” after taking some photobooth pictures together -- and that’s apparently good enough for Ernie. He gives Louis the card!!! Louis is stoked, but then the remorse starts to seep in. (I love remorseful Louis, though. It helps gives him more dimension.) He notices Ren window shopping and staring at a pearl necklace ~longingly~ before they head home. 

Ren is super excited to turn in her hours at school (going above and beyond, writing an entire paper on her experience) only to discover there is no “Adopt A Friend” program. Yeah. I’d be pissed, too. Not only that, she finds out that Ernie has been telling the entire school that they’re dating. She lashes out at him in front of everyone saying she wouldn’t date him if he were the last guy on earth and storms off. A little harsh, but is it really? Ernie was way out of line spreading fake intimate stories and lies.

Ernie left in Ren’s dust, being made fun of.

This show has a lot of heart. You actually feel for Ernie here. But you also feel for Ren because she was played by Louis. But, you ALSO feel upset for Louis because he knows he f’d up. The conflicting emotions. That night, Ren is fuming after she figures everything out. Louis hides from her by hooking himself onto the back of his door. This is also a pretty popular/memorable scene. We get a micro-mini mirror talk here, as well! I love the Season 1 mirror talks honestly!!!

“Man. Tell 20 or 30 lies, and right away you’re a bad guy.”

Ren discovers where he’s hiding and we get a line that’s not exactly great, but was used on a lot of Disney Channel commercials back in the day. (“What are you doing back there?”/ “...Just hanging out.”) But a line I do like is when Ren asks “HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SHOW MY FACE IN SCHOOL AGAIN, HUH?!” and Louis dryly responds “May I suggest plastic surgery?” 

After talking through the situation (the cover image of this post) we find out that Louis ended up trading in the Roaring Drycon card for money to get Ren the necklace she was looking at for her birthday. Awww. Ren loves it but hates the idea that he got the money from his scheme. She comes to terms with her own faults though when Louis makes her realize she only hung out with Ernie for selfish reasons. Can we also talk about Ren’s Y2K rubber band, pigtail hairstyle in this scene?! I 100% wore my hair exactly like this in elementary school -- with blue bands and everything, because I saw Ren Stevens wear her hair like that. Miranda Sanchez rocked this look too. Why was this style ever a thing? lol. Who came up with all of these crazy Early 2000s looks?! 

In the end, she turns around and gives Ernie the necklace. Apologizing & saying “This belongs to you.” Really??? WHAT A WASTE. At least keep the free necklace, Ren! Ernie and Ren makeup and he asks for a friend-to-friend hug. It’s kinda nice for a split second, but then we see his friends pop up and snap a photo of them ~embracing.~

AGAIN WITH THE TONGUE THING! What a creeper. x

This was a bit of a slow episode in retrospect. It’s super clear in my memory because Disney usually beats the first few episodes of a series into the ground. It’s a pretty safe and predictable plotline. Not a horrible episode, but definitely nothing too unbelievably special either. Not the greatest choice for a first episode, imo. Ren and Louis don’t really get to shine 100% and really flaunt that bickering sibling dynamic that the show is based on. It basically switches from Ren and Ernie sharing the screen, to Louis and Ernie sharing the screen. I mean, that sibling element is definitely there. But, you don’t really “get” that Louis and Ren are opposites always at odds. Louis just seems like a little brother who means well but messed things up for his sister, here. You also don’t really get to know anything about Louis as a character, his interest in comedy, or any of that. 

There aren’t a lot of laughs, either. But to be fair, it’s the first episode!!! Much like All About Yvette, the show obviously hasn’t really hit that signature Even Stevens stride! So, taking that into consideration.. It’s pretty solid and entertaining enough. I was going to rank it higher for the mere fact that it was the first episode to air and it isn’t totally bad, lol. But, I think I’m okay placing it here. Something else that’s a little “off” is that it’s missing that signature swing-jazz style music throughout the episode that’s so prevalent in others down the line. It uses mostly generic, quirky sitcom music. Another sign that it hasn’t found its place as a show just yet. 

This episode actually recently aired on Disney for their “Firsts on the First” marathon! They aired the first episodes of some of their most popular shows over the years to celebrate the New Year. Did anyone catch it? I did! I was actually home sick that night and it made my day so much better to see baby Shia’s face back on my television, honestly.
