Man I need some help making some anti-GW propaganda but I'm broke. I genuinely think if we can get everyone together like the Hell Divers community we might be able to get the bastards to lower their prices instead of hiking them up again!

Imagine GW's reaction to mass 3d printing artwork. Posters of 3d printers with a line of super soldiers marching out, space marines dying in a last stand holding a gw banner as they're overwhelmed by 3d printed armies, a printer unleashing a full legion of models for the same price gw has you pay for five. Stuff like this! Fuck I wish I stuck to my digital media classes!

Prices are higher than ever in our day to day lives! We can't just allow one of our major escapes to be taken from our grasps for no reason beyond the greed of scumbag CEO's! We're fighting and winning against the gaming companies! We need to fight GW!

Remember that you can boycott gw by using third parties! 3d printing if you have a printer is a great option (websites like cults3d and myminifactory are my go to) and if you don't have a printer many 3d modelers have deals with Etsy sellers to distribute their pre-printed products!

While I do want a very public representation of our boycott and spread the word, what's more important is making GW lose money!

They need to lower their prices and gives us plastic or we'll give them resin!

Hey everyone,

I hope you can take a moment to read this post.

Some of you might already know that I have a small Etsy shop selling printable items.

I opened the shop at the end of January this year. Due to various circumstances, I couldn't update it until last month, which is when we made our first sale. Since then, we've gained some traction and sold a few more items.

I'm thrilled with the progress, but it's not without its challenges.

Recently, customers have reported issues accessing the files they purchased. They downloaded blank files, which I later found out were not damaged or blank. The issue is that customers using Apple devices cannot open RAR files. In all my listings (except for wallpapers due to their size), I’ve mentioned that the items are in RAR format.

Unfortunately, this problem led to some customers leaving 1-star reviews.

I've done my best to help them access the files, but the 1-star reviews remain, and they are currently the only reviews on my shop. This negatively impacts my shop's reputation and affects my progress toward becoming a Star Seller, which requires an average rating of 4.8.

So my plan is to not post a lot of political stuff here, acknowledging most people visit to get away from all the real-world crap (including myself!). And, honestly, it's exhausting. I want this place to be a fun place, not one where you get lectured and reminded about how shitty things are/are going to be, if I can help it.

But I've had a few people ask what they can do. Because right now they're feeling helpless and lost and there are, IMO, a few things that you can get to right now that might take a little bit of that away.

I renewed my membership to the ACLU. If any organization is going to help us over the next four (plus) years in dealing with trump and whatever he and his administration throw at us, it'll be them.

There is a video going around listing some retail stores and restaurants that donated to trump's campaign compared to those who didn't, and it made me think it's worth sharing the info. I know many more will be added to that list, but for now, if you're able, boycotting organizations you know supported him and patronizing those that didn't is a small way to make your voice heard.

These past few months have put me through the wringer. Super stressful work environment, and new meds messing with both my mental and physical health. I'm taking steps to change the meds, and banish this nasty depression it has kept me trapped in. I can only apologize for how long it's been since my last update, though I did my best to keep writing.

This chapter might be a bit smaller than what they usually are, but it was hard-fought for. I hope you all like it, and thanks for being patient with me.

Chrysanthemum

The alarm replayed across the air, ominous and oppressive. Chrys looked towards the sound, the weight of the message sinking under her skin. Never before had she found herself in this situation; never again did she want to. The worry that gnawed at her stomach threatened to make her vomit, and the last thing anyone needed was for her to bring her lunch back out for a visit. She forced the sensation down from the back of her throat, and turned to face her partner, ready to follow whatever instructions he had for her. 

“Sun, what are you—”

Yet she stood alone. The entrance doors clicked shut, broadcasting what must have been his departure. For him to leave without a word and so abruptly was unlike him. 

Wait, what even are our protocols? What am I supposed to be doing here??

The two attendants from the Atrium stood out against the sea of quietly occupied children. If anyone here might have a shot of giving her some kind of guidance, her best bet was from other employees.

“Uh, hey,” Chrys asked, hurrying over, doing her best to project some sort of veneer of calm, lest her anxiety take control. “Everything seemed fine when I left. What the heck happened?”

Neither moved to look at her, or acknowledged that she’d spoken. Their game of “Go Fish” was more interesting, eyes locked on their individual sets of cards. Chrys waited, arms crossed over her chest, gaze pointed, until someone caved. The one on the right took that title; A heavyset, disheveled looking man with greasy hair, who offered only a measly, nonchalant shrug in consolation. 

 “Eh, she must have slipped from the group while we were walking back. Kid was there when we lined up.”

Soon the other joined in, a small, diminutive stick of a woman, likely around the same middle age as her counterpart. She clicked her teeth and added a card to the center pile. “My guess is she got distracted by something we walked past and snuck off. I’ve heard of stuff like that happening from some of the other staff. Hell, this place is like temptation in a bottle for kids.”

Chrys’s composure threatened to crack. Could they not hear themselves right now? Her tone took on a sharp edge. “What do you mean “you guess”? Aren’t you worried about her?”

“Oh chill, she’ll be fine.” The male attendant answered, unfazed. “They’ll send every mechanical bozo they’ve got in this place after her, like that creepazoid clown you’ve got here. Soon as the lights go off she won’t stay missing for long, I can tell you that.”

Chrys bristled. She didn’t appreciate the blatant, derogatory dig. “Is that about Sun?”

“Nah, the other one.” The same attendant answered. “After all, the guy’s part of security now, it’s his job to handle shit like this.”

Just then, every light in the vicinity began to fade, blanketing the daycare in a soft but artificial twilight. Some of the children shouted in mock terror, their cheeky giggles giving away their true amusement. Chrys startled out of reflex, eyes wide as she watched the scenery take on new life around her. 

Stars. So, so many stars. 

On every post, every wall, every support beam, even the ceiling and the fake clouds dangling overhead, glow-in-the-dark stars greeted her with their nostalgic light. Never would she have thought that the cheap ones she used to have decorating the ceiling of her childhood bedroom might be able to provide any sort of substantial light, but here they were, their collective amount—and likely higher quality—creating more than enough illumination to easily see by.

“See? Right on cue.” The attendant continued. “I bet you he’s the one who finds her first. Five minutes, tops.”

“Nah, it’ll be Roxy. Fast is like her whole thing. Ten bucks.” The woman chimed in with a barking laugh.

“Ha! You’re on!”

In the background of their grating banter, a new message spoke through the intercom, pulling Chrys from the conversation.

“ATTENTION ALL GUESTS: PLEASE REMAIN IN PLACE. OUR ANIMATRONIC STAFF AND SECURITY BOTS ARE CURRENTLY INVESTIGATING. THEIR SCANS ARE FOR IDENTIFICATION PURPOSES ONLY. LOCKDOWN WILL REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL THE MISSING CHILD IS IDENTIFIED AND RECOVERED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.”

The automated voice spoke with an ignorable note of authority, demanding obedience through command. She could only imagine how frightening this situation must be to the other children throughout the pizzaplex; To go from having the time of their lives one instant, to then finding themselves in a world of darkness and danger the next. At least the children under her responsibility seemed impervious to this, safe and secluded as they were here in the Daycare. A small blessing.

Marigold, however, could afford no such luxury. Wherever she was, odds were that she was alone, overwhelmed, without anyone to guide or comfort her. And if anyone with less than innocent intentions found her before one of the animatronics could… she closed her eyes against such a thought. The math, however, remained clear; With each minute that ticked by, the risk of this turning into a catastrophe grew. 

There had to be something she could do, anything to help speed things along. In a building this large, with all the various nooks and crannies she might have wandered into, going about this in a blind sweep would be far too tedious. Kids were masters of subverting your expectations, able to get themselves stuck in the most ridiculous of places. Pressing her palm to her forehead, Chrys dug through her memories, seeking anything notable, any sort of outlier that might give her some insight into whatever was going on in that little girl’s mind.

She’d been teary and reluctant to leave her mother when she’d arrived. Commonplace, most children suffered from some form of separation anxiety at that age. She played, she laughed, she had fun… and seemed hellbent on continually bringing up a certain ambiguous “big brother” every chance she could get. Was that the missing key? What was it she had said about him again? Something about wanting to share a pizza together, that he was some grown up that worked at some beach…

No, wait, that wasn’t it. She’d said here at the beach. Did… did she mean the pizzaplex? 

“Hey,” Chrys said, interjecting herself back into the conversation. “Is there anywhere in the Pizzaplex that’s beach themed, or, I don’t know, might be considered kinda “beach-y”? Someplace like that?”

The two attendants shared a look of confusion, glancing at the other for mutual confirmation that they’d heard her right. 

“Uh, not really.” The man replied, in a tone that made clear what he thought of her question. “The big things are the band performances, golf, the raceway…. everything else is pretty standard kid stuff, like the arcades. It ain’t really a “beach-y” kinda place, if you catch my drift.”

The woman piped in with a snap of her fingers. “Oh, hey now, isn’t one of the free zones pirate themed? They might have some beach decor or something.”

“Oh yeah, Kids Cove, right? I always forget about that place. Hasn’t it been, like, under construction or renovations for forever or something?”

“Yeah, something like that.”

Internally, Chrys vibrated. It may only be a nugget, but this was more of a lead than she had thirty seconds ago, and she’d be a fool to dismiss it. 

“Yes! That’s got to be it! Marigold had said something earlier that makes me think that might be where she’s gone! We have to let someone know. How do we contact Sun? Or Moon? Is there a way we can ping them or something?” 

The pair scoffed at her. 

“Who do you think we are, Vanessa? She’s the only one with direct line access to those overpriced tin cans.” The man patted the seat between the two of them. “Listen, why not sit down and relax with us for a second? I’m sure someone will find her soon, and everything will be just fine. I promise.”

His voice dripped with a syrupy sarcasm, the kind that came across as both patronizing and belittling. In her veins, her blood boiled. A little girl was out there somewhere, likely now having the worst birthday of her life, and they weren’t willing to lift a single finger to help her? To even try?

No. Unacceptable. 

“Fine. If you won’t help me, then I’ll just go out there and find a way to tell them myself. Stay with the rest of the kids until I get back. Don’t work too hard now.”

 Without giving either of the two a chance to retort, she pivoted and left, marching her way to the entrance of the daycare, stopping only once to grab a flashlight from the charging station mounted on the wall behind the security desk before stepping beyond the gate. 

There was no way she was going to let that little girl suffer any longer than was necessary.

Starting and Building Your Kawaii Wardrobe – Where to Shop, DIY's, and more!

Ciao lovelies! In the spirit of the New Year, I know some of you may have a New Year’s resolution to “Try new things” or “dress in cute fashion”, or something like it! Maybe your New Year’s Resolution is to try out dressing in kawaii inspired fashion! Maybe you already dress in kawaii fashion but are always looking to expand your wardrobe! Well, today’s post can help, because today we are talking about how to start and build a kawaii wardrobe! I’m going to be giving my shopping tips, links to plenty of DIYs, and more that can help you in your kawaii fashion journey! Let’s go!

Today I’ll be talking about general “Kawaii-Inspired” fashion, not one specific style of Kawaii fashion.

Finding Kawaii Inspired Clothing!

-          If you’re on a budget, my recommendation is to shop in Thrift Stores! You can find really cute pastel sweaters at thrift stores, you can find really cute skirts and dresses, and sometimes even really nice handbags! I have found lots of items that work for a general “kawaii-alternative” fashion look in thrift stores! You really never know what you could find there. I’ve found dresses, skirts, sweaters, bags, and blouses all for really good prices, and all worked for kawaii fashion. You can even find cute home décor and sometimes even cute jewelry! Unsure where to start when it comes to thrifting or just want some tips? Check out our top 5 tips for Thrift Shopping!

-          Another great place to look for “kawaii-inspired” clothing is Hot Topic or Forever 21! You can find cute overalls/overall dresses, t-shirts, skirts, skater dresses, knee and thigh high socks, and other cute clothing! The only problem with these stores is that they can be somewhat expensive.

-          Another option for getting kawaii clothing is to make it yourself! Fabric stores like JoAnn even have patterns you can use if you don’t like drafting your own. And there are plenty of good clothing tutorials online, Yumi King’s channel has many if you search far back in her videos (a good way to do this is to order the videos from “Oldest First”). 

-          If making clothes from scratch isn’t your thing, you can always modify clothing to suit your needs! We actually have some clothing modification tutorials, and I will be trying to make more this summer. Our Clothing-Mod tutorials include: Adding Cat Ears to a Hoodie, Shoe Upgrade, DIY Cutsew from a T-shirt, and DIY T-shirt into Tank Top.

Finding Kawaii Inspired Accessories!

-          You can always find kawaii looking accessories in certain shops, you just have to know where to look! Some good stores to look for kawaii accessories in are: Claires, Icing, and Hot Topic! My best advice is to always look through their clearance section! You can find really cute stuff on sale often there.

-          Another place to find cute accessories is in the kid’s section of stores. This might seem weird at first, but kid’s necklaces can be altered into cute bracelets, and you can use charms and such from kid’s jewelry to make into earrings, rings, and brooches. 

-          Another great place to find cute accessories is Etsy! There are lots of stores on Etsy that sell cute handmade accessories! Same with Storenvy. The only downside to searching these places for cute handmade jewelry is the higher prices, but you are supporting small businesses, so I say it’s worth it!

-          Lastly, you can also make your own kawaii jewelry! Kawaii charms and other jewelry findings can be bought rather cheaply in lots from Etsy or Aliexpress, and you can make yourself a whole collection of cute accessories! Quick question and please don't feel obligated, but would you mind if I asked how you printed patterns on interfacing like that? I've been wanting to get into making my own clothes and adding little embroidery flair to collars and sleeves, but my stitching is pretty amature, and I'm not super confident about my ability to snag your patterns on a restock, considering how rapidly you've been selling out. (Alternatively if you don't want to share the process which is totally valid if you could stock your cottagecore pattern plentifully I can just take my chances on Tuesday)

You've got a lot of options! (Especially since I had to return the interfacing I got on Tuesday, and the new stuff won't be here until Saturday, and I am quietly dying of agony with the delay)

The simple answer is, I bought a pack of "printable self-adhesive water soluble interfacing" online. They're available on Amazon in US letter-sized sheets of 12, and I could put them in my cheapo inkjet printer and tell my computer to print my computer files onto them. I didn't experience many hassles that way. (Well, until I ordered the 6m roll, which was... an Experience from beginning to end.)

You can also just trace or draw a pattern onto the interfacing with a pen. Or skip the interfacing completely, and draw your pattern onto your fabric. I often cheat and use a pencil, because it might not wash out of the fabric completely, but if it's covered with embroidery, who cares? But there are all kinds of pens and pencils and paper and chalks and dyes you can use, depending on what you need and what's available to you.

I know that some embroiderers work spontaneously, making it up as they go. I wanted to be that person for a long, long time, but the truth is, I find it way less stressful and more artistically satisfying to have a pattern to follow. There are a ton of embroiderers who spend their entire careers stitching other people's patterns and not even feeling the need to make their own. There's a ton of artistry and craft just in the act of embroidery itself.

In other good news, Etsy has a lot of other people selling embroidery patterns with stick-and-stitch designs. What got me started on this track is buying a stick-and-stitch pack from Florals and Floss, which has lots of really cute little designs that fit really easily into modern clothing. The content of our embroidery patterns is centuries apart, but the materials we use are the same.

Its artist has also published a book, The Embroidered Closet, that sounds like it would be right up your alley. (For people worried about shipping, it's also sold as an ebook and is available to many libraries on Hoopla Digital.)

I went out today to pick up meds and get my covid and flu shots (was gonna get the sat but had to reschedule) and then went to goodwill for a bit to look for some work clothes (need some like black underlayers and could use an alternate pair of boots cause like my usual work boots are steel toe and kinda heavy for like Halloween acting where I might be like crawling around and my fashion boots and getting pretty worn out and they've got the kind of lace up things that come undone if you're also, like, crawling around.. need crawling around boots), ended up finding some stuff I needed + couple extra goodies including some little gifts for my mom, I've been feeling less tense spending money this week knowing I'll have a paycheck incoming, MOSTLY it has just been necessities like pet stuff or like work related thing like I preemptively ordered some clothes online as so if I can't find even cheaper stuff irl before work starts I have it but otherwise I can totes return it, but even that has been a relief like yay I'm super prepared here, I got black long sleeve shirts because I'm gonna be outside so this way I won't freeze, I did in fact find some perfect boots at goodwill today a little on the higher side for second hand faux leather at like $15 but I'm like, but you know what I'll be paid I don't need to leave behind what I need to be comfy and regret it if I can't find anything else just cause I'm like "well maybe if they were $10 🙄" cause that's the thing like I'm always having to forgo my comfort to shave off dollars here and there it sucks!! Ultimately it's not gonna be like an ENORMOUS check it's a seasonal gig with only a certain amount of days buts it's still significantly more money I usually rake in per month so

I've made like one single more luxurious purchase of a couple skincare things cause I'm like scraping the end of my last jar of moisturizer and I really need to do something about my facial hair coming in it's getting itchy and feels kinda dry, I perused reddit and men say like working a quality balm into it down to the follicles before bed really helps, and wouldnt you know it the etsy shop that makes the moisturizers I really like makes a beard balm too??? 🥺 I'm using the word luxurious so loosely though like even that's not all that expensive it's just like fhjdgjkf I almost never buy any special things for myself these days like Me as a person is just not in my budget, but anyway that's probably mostly it for now at least until I find our like when checks get deposited like if it's weekly, biweekly, or what, and at the end of the whole season I'd like to see what my checking account looks like after evenings all deposited and my credit card balance is at 0

Fun times with Emily today. The jeans I ordered on Etsy from camelotstreasures came in the mail, and they're so lovely! They are exactly what I was hoping they would be, and complete the "mini me" look I was going for perfectly

I also went to Walmart and finally got a little bed for her. I've been debating getting one for a while and ended up caving today, lol. I dressed her up in her pajamas, gave her my tiny Sir Hoots A Lot so she could have a plushie to sleep with, and set her up on top of my dresser. I think it's super cute, and I'm glad I finally got the bed!

Tomorrow, I'm planning on dying an Our Generation jacket I got on sale to make it look like the blue jacket I wear. I'm also going to finish painting and sealing her headphones, and I might try to work on her carrier when I finish.

I'm having a lot of fun getting back into American Girl doll stuff :)

Manifestation - Everyone Is You Pushed Out (EIYPO) - The World Is Your Mirror

Hello everyone! This is another short post to cover a simple topic under the umbrella term manifestation to hopefully shed some light on the topic.

So if you are new to this concept, EIYPO, let me try to explain it to you. The world, the 3d world that you see and perceive is a reflection of your inner being, your thoughts, feelings and assumptions. Whatever you believe to be true and real, gets reflected back to you in your day to day life and interactions with other people.

If someone is acting a certain way toward you, it is easy to see that as evidence as that is how that person feels about you. Say for example a person is rude to you. You probably make the assumption that that person does not like you, which, to be fair, is quite understandable. Because you hold the belief that a person would only be rude to you if they dislike you, then that means that person must not like you.

Could we change that? Well, yes we can! All we have to do is change our assumption of the way this person treats you, and the way they feel about you.

So we will accept that this person is still capable of liking us or loving us, and now, we will choose to start seeing them in a more loving light. In your imagination, you want to see that person treating you well. You can use visualisations, scripting or my favourite: affirmations. Persist in this new assumption “person x is always treating me right” and it will come to pass. Not only are you always treated like royalty (for example) but it is also important to stop seeing that other person as someone who is ‘rude’ for example. That’s the old story, and we won’t be telling it anymore. The person on our mind is now always nice (at least to us) and always treating us right.

So I have several examples of how this has worked in my own life using affirmations. Now I have a list of affirmations that I have recorded which are tailored towards my specific person (SP), but because EVERYONE is you pushed out, I have seen my affirmations reflected back to me from other men as well.

Here’s a few examples including the affirmation:  1. “Our sex is the best that he has ever had” - A guy I slept with twice last year suddenly re-appeared and after texting for a bit, he told me I was the best sex he has ever had. Well, of course, I affirmed to be the best. Now of course I affirmed for my SP to think this, but, if random guy said it, then you best believe SP feels the same!

2. “He is the happiest when he is with me” - Surprisingly enough, same random guy from example 1 told me this exact thing just a couple of weeks ago, that he’s the happiest when he’s with me. Naw, sweet, but also, not my SP! (Don’t let stuff like that concern you though, this is what they call Birds Before Land, a post I will need to make at some point)

3. “I am the best” - When talking to my SP I asked him why he came back after we (he) ended things, his response? “Because you’re the best” 

4. “I am amazing” - During the same conversation as example 3, my SP said to me “I wish you knew how amazing you are”, and I kid you not, this was the first time my SP had ever called me amazing (he’s not big on compliments)

5. “SP always pays for my drinks” - I know this one might seem shallow (and cheap of me!) but hey, SP makes big bucks and I deserve to be treated when we’re out, so why not? And yeah, a few weeks of affirming this and my SP now always pays for the drinks when we are out.

The list goes on but I hope I have demonstrated my point. Change your assumptions about your reality, how people see you, how people treat you, persist, and they will change. They have to, it’s the law.

crochet roundup post for may/june...!

I don't have a blog for crafts despite my chronic interest categorisation so I'll just post em here For Now. Apologies for anyone who follows me on twitter as I've been posting on there sporadically. I might make this a bi-monthly little roundup to help motivate me to keep pursuing projects 😊

1. Granny square blanket

First ever project! Learnt how to crochet using this pattern. I bought a "crochet beginner" kit from an Etsy shop which included four yarn colours, a hook, a darning needle and an information booklet. I was supposed to get access to a facebook group which had tutorial videos but they were slow in adding me to the group, so I ended up turning to video tutorials on YouTube, with the one I used in the final project being BellaCoco's basic granny square.

Once I'd started making squares (upon squares upon squares) I decided that I wanted to make a patchwork blanket from the completed squares, rather than making one large granny square until it was blanket sized.

To this end, I bought two skeins of brown dk yarn (alas, in ever so slightly different colours 🫣) from a local fabric shop and crocheted an extra row around every. Single. Square (This took fooooorever). Then proceeded to sew the individuals into long rows of squares, which I eventually sewed together into the full blanket. I used a whip stitch to connect my squares which left the front side with a really pleasing ridge between the individual squares!

2. Alyssia Creates sun/moon/star squares

High on my granny square success, I wanted to pick up the project that originally inspired me to pick up crochet (I reblogged the post in question earlier today) I decided to attempt a slightly more complicated square design. I had to learn how to make a magic circle for this design and I picked up a bunch more interesting stitches, like a treble and half double crochet. This was also really good in terms of learning how to effectively change colours in a more seamless manner. I've made these designs in a few different colour schemes now; I'm planning on using some of them as coasters and stitching a few of them together to make dice bags for DND!!

3. Mushroom lighter holder

Does what it says on the tin. This ended up super messy but it was a successful attempt at a 3d object! Made for my lovely pal Jess! This was fun as I got to do some creative sewing to make the little spots on the mushroom head and I had to sew the strap into the body of the mushroom. Would make again and attempt to tidy up the stitches. Would also try a different pattern to see if I could make one to better fit the lighter in question. I think the design I ended up using was for chapsticks originally, so though I did amend it and add a few more rounds to the body and cap, it could be better proportions-wise!

Upcoming projects include a runner for our living room coffee table based on this granny square pattern (how gorge is it... I've bought new yarn for this project and I'm really excited to try a different brand for the first time...! And to finish up the sun/moon bags and a more finished version of the lighter pouch. After that... Who knows! If anyone would like me to send them some little items PLEASE let me know! sometimes when i'm bored i go on etsy and just search "occult" and you either get the most rancid or funniest shit ever and either one is a good time

our latest contestent is this store which claims to sell "Magical Implements" and primarily stuff that's from golden dawn, and as it's golden dawn it has the incredible property of looking like something an 11 year old would make up for a mandatory design and technology course, and this store manages to make it look like they were made by one

this terrible paintjob can be yours for only 66 pounds

but the thing that really made me want to post this is was a few pages over there's some decorative wall hangings. there's random symbols like your planets your zodiacs your elements you know generic tat that might look nice

and then there's this thing:

i don't know why this is so fucking funny to me. just putting a hebrew letter on the wall. putting what the letter is on the bottom in english. the fact you have to specify what letter it is because you know damn well anyone following golden dawn isn't going to bother learning what those letters actually are. the font choice. the fact it has to specifiy that it's the final version

imagine going into some guys house. it's entirely normal with a couch and tv and then you look the other way and see this on the wall. what would you say. what would you think. what if you had no idea what hebrew letters were and spent the rest of the day wondering what "peh final" means. what if you did know hebrew. what would you think

it's just so [something]. i'm going to be thinking about this for the next week

PSA for Small Businesses!

If you are a small business owner (like working on selling things from home on Etsy or in a small mom/pop store) you probably have a budget - a Reaallllyyyy tight budget, and that tight budget is being stretched too thin by spending on all the extra little upcharges from your printing supplier (things like rounded corners or a retail hole punch)

so listen up because Cryptids Don't Gatekeep - especially tips and tricks that can help out our other small business colleagues!

so go from this: a standard card you can get from a printing company (Vistaprint is common, though this is from Uprint) and go to this instead;

Beautiful rounded corners and a professional retail peg hole punch - perfect for actually being in retail stores or on a nice display at your local market or convention!

Don't wanna pay the absurd upcharge fees every time? Good, you don't have to! Buy the freaking punches/cutters online and do it yourself! It's a (much cheaper) one time purchase and then you can do it whenever! I got mine from Amazon as that was the best option available to me, but you can check out other specialty/stationary stores too!

Here's the little contraption that rounds out those pesky sharp corners (it has 3 different size options too!)

and here's a close up of that nice perfect rounded edge! Took a fraction of a second!

Here's the cool specialty retail hole punch thing-a-ma-jig

and for bonus tips here's the little adhesive tape thingy I use to stick my products onto the hanging cards (I kinda like this one, but I might try other ones in the future to see if any are better - sometimes the glue stuff has trouble rolling out and I have to re-do a section to get it to work)

And voila! You did it! You're ready to have the best display at your convention or hit the big leagues and provide professional merch at physical stores.

Go forth! Make things! Save money! Make money! Drool over rounded corners!
