April’s the one who dressed them up based on their interests. Excluding leo’s and donnie’s techs. Donnie made his tech and leo’s hologram control thing. And leo’s hologram necklace is actually a gift April got from her science teacher, Baxter Stockman. More on that later tho. Maybe. Idk yet

In my version, things are more lighthearted. Shredder is an alien that took over the utroms planet and so the utroms escape to earth. Theyre like pests tho, they carry ooze that makes ppl sick. Theyre not TOO harmful, but theyre bothersome. the turtles do fight crime that happens and also tries to help out with utrom situations. The turtles are mostly carefree and has a more positive outlook on everything. Leo tends to be the most innocent, other than mikey. They both have so much joy and love in their hearts bless them

The best way i can describe donnie is that he’s like Rise donnie but less vocal abt his sense of superiority and intelligence(?) my donnie is more mysterious and puts on an off-putting facade just for the fun of creeping people out. He cares for others tho and it rlly shows that hes kind hearted. Just a bit weird and sometimes takes his pranks too far (he pranks his brothers with his inventions to show how impressive his inventions are. Sometimes it fails and so their adventures consists of them having to get around donnie’s invention problems) if you watch Sgt frog, then u can tell i got heavily inspired by Kululu lol

For April, i wanted to make her be a popular girl in her school. Shes not a mean popular girl. She just is popular for some reason and shes cool with everyone. Everyone gets along, mostly, but she just doesnt like being around people and prefers to stay home doing her own thing. Shes an art kid who loves anything artsy, especially making her own stories

Overall theyre just having fun tbh. I want them to not have trauma for once😭 or at least not yet. Other than the whole utroms situation, their problems are mostly them wanting to have fun outside and do normal people stuff but April doesnt let them cuz she knows people will be weirded out by them. They’re both p good at expressing themselves through actions. Cal gives Edith room and trust to make her own choices & she pushes back on his own self depreciating ways and I think, pushes him to ask for what he wants when he isn’t really likely to do that on his own (he grows a lot when they’re actually together loll). As for how they clash (as tho I didn’t go dm u ab this one; its ok, the ppl should know💀) the way they deal w negative emotions aka. cal repressing them and just deciding to deal, vs edith who responds w anger/becomes explosive. I initially took this as things that would cause arguments but, cal is v chill and edith is too soft for him to be upset.

15. Do they always say 'i love you' before leaving?

Hmmmm I’m not sure it’s an always when they leave, I think In some universes it’d be more consistently than others depending on the high stakes situations they’re in yk. Cal says I love you mostly through actions and his behavior so if you count that than every 'be safe' or hug goodbye is 200% an 'i love you'

I feel like if he was told ‘pick out an outfit for Edith’ he’d take into account what she likes, that being practicality and also dark colors. Actual doodles in class this time! They're kinda ugly tho since they're mostly for me to playtest the general gist of how they're like as a character(?) Idk how to properly describe it.

It's not obvious since these doodles were from quite a while ago, but the unnamed character here, specifically her younger self, was also present in a previous post. To be percise, it's the Orenji post with Magpierre where she was seen walking with her and the lyrics "That faraway island, covered in morning glow" was written overhead.

I haven't sorted through her entire story yet but she's based off of a Steven Universe OC I had when I was younger called "Crystal", so I'll be calling her that for now.

Of course, if you know anything about SU, you'd know that it doesn't make any sense for a Gem to be called a "Crystal" since crystals aren't gems. But because I was kinda of an odd child when I was younger (still am, I have very bad reading comprehension so I understand things differently), I wanted a character that was based off of the Cluster because I thought they (it?) were an awfully cool concept that was honestly very underused considering how much of a threat they were played out to be.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that the original "Crystal" was actually NOT a whole gem, but is actually a more stable version of the small Cluster gems shown throughout the show, y'know those weirdly formed hands and feet?

Here, the original "Crystal" was a Cluster Gem made out of 80% Sapphires and 20% Lapis Lazuli, an experiment by the Diamonds to see if they can reuse, reduce, recycle™ the shattered remains of the soldiers from the opposing Crystal Gems' forces. Partially because Sapphires are rare and they were running out of them due to the war, the other is to see if they can still maintain the abilities of a Sapphire and their consciousness despite them being a merge of multiple different Sapphires. After all, they were cut from the exact same cloth, no?

Now, you might be asking: "Didn't you literally just state that they're 20% Lapis Lazuli as well, why aren't you bringing that up?"

Well about that, like any good Manhwa author (fuck them mfs for leaving me on a cliffhanger every single episode😭😭), I will leave it to the actual post I'll be making for the original "Crystal", since I just managed to find an old artwork of her (along with a BUNCH of notes) while typing this out.

Damn, the post's getting a bit long so I'll have to speed up the pace.

As I mentioned in a couple paragraphs before, I don't have the full story and personality set up for the new "Crystal" yet. However, the basis of her entire story is that she's kind of this semi-immortal, living artifact of history who's been through most of the major historical events herself. "Semi-immortal" because the sole reason she's still alive is because of the numerous amounts of gems/gemshards she's embedded into her skin (for story reasons, I'll clarify more in the future).

I don't particularly feel like addressing this part but, she used to be this experimented-on child that escaped from a run down laboratory (right before the calendar changed) with her friend, who's a merge between one of the Anguished and their original self. Said friend was already long dead before Maylisa came to find "Crystal" (or hell, way before Maylisa was ever born tbh), but I'll try to find some time to talk about them as well since they're also based off of an old OC of mine that I'd repurposed for this universe.

There were a lot more I'd like to talk about (stuff like how Crystal escaped from the laboratory, how she was experimented on, how her friendship with the other experiments came to be formed, what happened after she left), but I don't want to leave future me with a bunch of retcons and a lack of explanations so, I'll be going more in-depth once I sort out her as a character!

and at some point way before hattie and bow and goose end up there, they pass over harbor because theyre tryna figure out if they wanna stop for a supply run or not and the mafia shows up n makes trouble ofc

she gets the mafia to leave her alone but in the process ends up crash landing somewhere near subcon (not sure if its like in the woods or just off the borders but close enough either way)

in the crash tho, a bunch of time pieces shatter n get fucked up and end up scattered across time

she has to go through and try to clean all THAT up because plain n simple those things are hard to get and just leaving a jumbled mess like that it Very Not Safe

in this whole debacle her family dont know whats happened and the ship is kind of undocumented because the crash basically happened forever ago but also it hasnt yet but also it never did?? so like. shes missing for a good decade before shes finally back to her present (by this time hat n bow have come n gone so she missed goose anyway)

while she was going through time collecting time peices, she got in whole heeps of trouble and while its only been 10 years in her present it feels like its been at least 50

shes gotten acused of witchcraft, cursed about 5 times over, there was that one time she was thrown in a dungeon for 7 years for disrespecting a king or something

point is they came back fucked up

they're half undead and their soul is a little bit missing because someone stole it at some point and they only barely got it back a little bit. also cursed to be tied to shadows so being in the sun too long isnt very good for them.

ive also been playing with the idea they were cursed to live either other people's spirits and energies OR their flesh. not sure which yet

i do feel like it'd be nice if they and snatcher could end out with a deal where he eats the souls and she eats the bodies. or something

Violet: she would make you little trinkets to show she cares and drop them off in places for you to find. They’re always signed with a little not so you know that it’s her. She would absolutely spend time finding out all your interests and have conversations about them just because. I don’t think she would be overly shy about these things but actually try (not in a super confident way tho)

Klaus: klaus would absolutely chat to you about your interests and research to maximise the conversation. I feel like he would be the type to leave you notes with quotes from books but he wouldn’t sign them at all. He would be more shy(?) when doing anything because dude probably has limited society skills from just reading books all the time.

Sunny: I know sunny is a baby last we know of but if she grows up (wow that sounds menacing) she would definitely bake or cook things for you. I feel like she would copy what she sees other people do and use that as her main way of showing love.

Isadora: (absolutely cannot leave her out) she would put couplets everywhere you go for you to find. Like there’s a million of them. She would be a good person to talk to and uses that when she’s knows you’re having a bad day. I low key feel like she would be a bit shy but not so nervous when trying to show someone she loves them. And she’s literally the most caring.

Duncan: I feel like he would be pretty confident. He would research a ton so he can act like he’s always had the same interests as you. I feel like he would be the type to just write in his diary about the person he loves instead of doing his journal work. He defo has margins covered in heart doodles with his name + whoever.

Quigley: he’s a sap. Like he full on would be the type to burst out into speeches that he’s compiled in his head. He would definitely stop all his work just to stare at you with like heart eyes. I feel like he would read books to find sweet lines to say cuz he has the resources so might as well.

hero spends some nights with mari playing ghost chess or playing piano because I don't think ghosts can sleep

SPOILERS FOR MS. MARVEL

ok guys i expected this show to be pretty average.. nope. it was great. just 1 episode in and its already one of my favorite marvel shows. heres a bit of my thoughts on it -its so cool to see more representation. im not Muslim or Pakistani so i cant say anything about those aspects (tho im sure u could find stuff about it online from those more knowledgeable) other than its great to see other cultures and languages in a production like this. and like MoonKight they had what i assume to be cultural music, which was also rlly cool -ITS SO RELATABLE! LIKE SKDFJSGS;, i dont have the words. the fact that she daydreams all day about being a superhero, doodles during class, is a literal fangirl, and has parents who doesnt understand what she likes, is. so. relatable. this is the most ive ever seen myself in a marvel character, which is kinda the point of the show. but still. i was watching her talk about making her cosplay and looking at fanart and its just, i do those things. i have marvel shirts and dream about going to cons. the amount of, just feeling, i felt when her mom completely shut down her plan to go to AvengerCon is just, immense. like wow, so many ppls parents judge their kids for the things they like. the scene where Kamala tried to put something around her hips after her mom told her the outfit was too skimpy or tight (without even seeing it i might add) was something i just immediately felt. she didnt even need to monologue about why she felt the need to do it, i could instantly understand based on her action and expression. i cant put into words how this feels like a show that just gets us -her friendship with Bruno (im still not over that song why would u do this to me Disney). its so accurate to how friendship is and its so wholesome to watch. Kamala feeling out of place in school and being quite to meeting with Bruno and talking about the con? thats great, thats the friendships i wanna see. there was no romance, tho there may be based on the look they shared on the roof, but im surprisingly open to it. i usually never like romance in action based shows but they understand each other so well. their struggles and dreams, like even if their love is just platonic its still there. and i love to watch it (not to mention its the literal perfect superhero partner dynamic, the one who fights and the one in the chair) -the directing. ive had a lot of problems with Disney directing as of late (cough cough Boba Fett) but marvel shows have always been fine. WandaVision was rlly unique in its idea, so was Hawkeye, but none have stood out in just plain directing so far. until this. theres no weird shaky camera for no reason, no weird up close face shots (im looking at u The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), nothing like that. just good camera work and going 100% with the theme. the drawings coming to life on the walls and their texts becoming signs and Kamala's planning being animated/drawn. its like spider-verse and i love it. it seems so true to her character and the vibe of the show. reminds me of a movie i think exists where some guy in high school has the ability to make the things he draws real, but im not sure if i just made that up lol -references. some ppl call them easter eggs but either way their great. like me tell u i was screaming whenever i saw something from the greater mcu. even before the show started i noticed how MoonKight is now in the intro logo. there was a lot but some things i remember r the og captain america song at the con, the drawing mentioning his ass, also at the con, the trust a bro truck and original ms. marvel design as art during the end credits. im sure there was more and im kinda disappointed im not remembering them after just watching it -the mysteries. whyd the bracelet (idk if thats what its called but for now bracelet) give her powers? who r the ppl in the end scene (i dont think any other marvel show has had an end scene first ep)? will her old friend refriend her? OMG SHE STILL HAS THE POWER TO EXTEND HER LIMBS?? BUT NOW ITS LIKE CRYSTALS???

IM ALIVE (NEW UPDATES AND MORE!!)

HI GUYS! So I know I disappeared for... a couple months.. now.. KGJHS

Things have- as you might have guessed- been really crazy and I just hadn't had the energy to draw or interact outside of my immediate circles n all @_@

BUT New month! New plans! New and Better me!!

I wont get into details of it all, but after such mental exhaustion and general craziness/stress of life, I'm finally gaining my energy back and even seeing a therapist and psychiatrist, and feeling more like myself again ♥

And with that, there are New Announcements as well! Regarding things like art, freebies, artfight, and more!So let's get right into it!!

Firstly; Yes I am drawing again! Starting this Monday, July 5th, I will be back to streaming just about daily! I plan to do a Monday-Friday schedule streaming.

Mondays will be for warm-ups and doodles (maybe throw in some quick freebies in there >:3c wink wonk) Tuesdays through Thursdays will switch up between Patreon Rewards, Commissions, Trades/Artfight, etc. And Fridays will either be for more Personal works or just fun stuff! Whether freebies or other things! A sort-of winding down thing!!

NOW GRANTED: I may not instantly follow through this schedule, as I dont wanna overwhelm myself, but I figured having a sort of routine should at the least help! That way I can give myself breaks throughout the week and have the weekends for relaxing (when Im not doing the freebie streams!)

Which brings me to my next thing-

I do plan on doing the weekend freebie streams as before- they just may not be until later this month! That way I have time to get back into the rhythm of drawing and not immediately throw myself into the midst of everything (that wont turn out well JGHJHSD)
