I'm so happy to hear you liked it!! I don't usually like to post about my writing before I'm in the editing stage at least bc I don't like building expectations like that and making people wait. This time I hadn't even started writing (I was actually writing another, quite different fic that is almost ready to go up now). It was just an idea I had been rotating in my head for some time and I wanted to know if there were people who agreed with me. But everyone has been so lovely and enthusiastic and I can't wait to get it done and share with the class!

Now, for your question. Actually, no, first let me take this opportunity real quick to say:

Now, I was going to go into this whole spiel about how Charles is actually a really interesting case because he

seems to have had rather forward views when he was alive

unlike many of his peers, died before growing to adulthood in Thatcher Britain beat them out of him and left him a cynical husk of a person

So I actually like to think he is less behind than you'd expect from a guy who didn't live to see the iron curtain fall (see, just for some examples, his helping his classmate and unwavering support of other's queerness (though his reaction to Chad and Hunter in particular warrants a whole essay)).

And then after thinking all these thoughts I realised that pretty much everything we thought to know about dinosaurs in the 80's has since been overhauled. (Jurassic Park hadn't even been released yet!) And then I couldn't get this image out of my head of Charles scream-crying at a museum plaque (ineffectively since a) he is inperceptible, b) it is an inanimate object.)

So yeah, my answer is dinosaurs. I also firmly believe he checked out re the internet the moment they got rid of the dial up modem, if not earlier.

the only thing their ratty old, cramped ship has got going for it, is its stealth; so they sneakily poach goods off of big transport ships. when all goes well, they're long gone before the stolen goods (and optional knocked out security) are discovered <3

they're a ragtag bunch, but they're good at what they do

one day, based on a tip from the notorious information broker Kim Hongjoong, the 99ers steal a very specific crate from a very specific corporate science vessel 👀

they don't know what's in it, but they do know Hongjoong will pay good money for it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

so, um, so they're a little surprised when their stolen goods wake up and try to steal their ship 😬

...that's you. you're the stolen goods.

you're also a highly illegal science experiment, who escaped the clutches of famed nanobiotech developer / your ex-lover -> Park Seonghwa 😬

the 99ers quickly realise they're caught up in something way bigger than they're equipped to deal with; Seonghwa will want you back, but you and them also realise there's smth super shady going on with Hongjoong's interest with you

the fic is extremely slow burn

it's a shaky alliance between you and the 99ers

and at the start they only protect you in the hopes it'll get them out of this mess alive. they'd use you as leverage against either hongjoong or seonghwa in a heartbeat if they thought it'd help them

but as you survive dangers together, are forced to work as a team, (and live in extremely close quarters w/ off the charts sexual tension), things slowly start to shift

so when they finally have the perfect opportunity to throw you under the bus and make it out with their skin intact... they can't

and they risk everything to save you 🥺

Let it be known that this is a fictional humanoid creature and that dealing with trauma should be taken seriously in the real world and not berated or anything like that. I hope you all know (or I will make it more known) that I’m a big supporter and believer of therapy and love. Despite all the dark fics I write.))

However, she might get an offer to breed with another hybrid, now that you put the idea in my head - she is a full blood cocker spaniel after all.

To be completely honest I still haven't planned anything that's worth of an actual fic (who do you take me for? An organized person? HA) but I would lie if I said that I didn't think about it a lot, so

As you know, somehow in this AU Hyacinthus came back to life and started working for the emperors

The dynamics of how, exactly, it all happened are pretty undefined as of now, but that's secondary information and it's not really important. (Maybe.)

What you need to know though is that Commodus is the one who takes him in, because of course he does. Hyacinthus is the perfect revenge against Apollo, after all, both because he's known to be his greatest love, and seeing him side against him would hurt Apollo a lot, and because, whatever happened, Commodus would always have leverage against Apollo, in a "You don't want to do what I tell you? Well look what I can do to your precious little flower" sort of way

He also uses this as an excuse to get back at Hyacinthus himself, too—something that is a direct result his festering inferiority complex and the can of worms that are, again, his feelings upon seeing the one man Apollo's name is always associated with

Hyacinthus is a better man and fighter than him even when he's brainwashed and he just CAN'T stand it

It all worsens once he sees how much Lester is still attached to Hyacinthus, and how hard he tries to get him to snap back. He never cared that much for him after all, did he?

On Hyacinthus' end this all borders less on the side of drama and more on the side of comedy LMAO

While not being able to discern right from wrong atm, as he's been coerced into absolute obedience through very shady means, he has this unexplainable feeling inside him that he really, really doesn't like Commodus (which intensifies every time Commodus starts another one of his long rants about how bad and evil and selfish Apollo is and about how he'll absolutely get his revenge) and he expresses that through little jabs he makes in his direction that Commodus can't really do anything about because they are worded in a way that makes them seem innocuous

On the other hand, he's on civil terms with the rest of the "staff", so to speak, and some even respect him because of how skilled he is (specifically Lityerses) so he does have some allies there

They don't actually know who he is though since, while he works for the emperors, Hyacinthus is never referred to by his own name, but always by some sort of epithet

(This is why Meg never made the connection either, despite knowing the myth well enough to inform Grover that Hyacinthus was Apollo's boyfriend)

It's mostly a measure they take so Hyacinthus doesn't remember his past before they're actually done using him

As for Apollo and Hyacinthus' relationship in this, it's a bit complicated, because Apollo changes his stance and tries to get him on his side the moment Hyacinthus' disguise drops, while Hyacinthus doesn't remember him. At all. So his efforts don't really work

Which results in a lot of frustration and hurt feelings

Despite this, Hyacinthus' unexplainable feelings persist. And he's very confused :)

I'm still not sure when this would be set—I wanted to either limit this to The Dark Prophecy or make it a "he appears occasionally as a spy or something until they find out who he is" thing that spans over the five books (without actually retelling the whole story though because holy shit that would be exhausting) but that's something that can be figured out later oof

Anyway, keep in mind that this is all just a result of my daydreaming, so if I actually write something concrete about this, some plot points might change!! And also the dynamics!! And the vibes in general!!! My brain is just a dumpster fire tbh so expect a lot of mental U-turns here

Jealous Will fic potential

per @parkitaco’s post on jealous Will which I have been thinking abt nonstop, Will being jealous over Mike getting a bf would be such a juicy fanfic bc of the different reasons as to why Mike and Will don’t think the other returns their feelings:

Mike is skeptical bc of his own poor self esteem. Despite sometimes having his suspicions, he genuinely doesn’t understand how someone like Will could love him. I don’t think Mike thinks Will is straight, or that it even matters that much to him, bc he thinks love is transactional and that he himself doesn’t have much to offer Will (he’s of course, wrong on both accounts lmao).

Will, on the other hand, is now convinced Mike is straight. He probably used to think Mike could be queer (season 2 and probably pre canon even), but he was “proven” wrong in an extremely painful way (rain fight, season 3 in general, etc) and now despite Mike sometimes showing clear signs that he returns Will’s feelings (bedroom scene) Will simply doesn’t allow himself to hope. Will thinks Mike doesn’t return his feelings because he thinks Mike is straight (it’s also bc he believes that he doesn’t deserve to get what he wants but yk that’s another post, Will is complex guy), I def think he would have more hope if Mike never got a girlfriend and they never had the rain fight and everything building up to it lol.

So just imagine, if it Will finds out that Mike is in fact queer via getting a boyfriend that’s not Will. I don’t think Will would do his whole “I’m just gonna sit back and let Mike be happy, even if it’s not with me” mentality this time. No, Will would be petty. Petty and jealous and if he ever interacted with said bf when Mike wasn’t looking he would use the full scope of his WillByersSassTM, and Even better if this is Will and Mike in college and they’ve rebuilt their friendship so they’re close again, so Mike’s bf gets jealous of the byler friendship and it’s a petty feud between him and Will and Mike is extremely confused, and ofc Mike had sworn up and down to himself that he wasn’t gonna push Will away just bc he was dating someone so he tries his best but he didn’t account for how jealous Will was gonna be and AUGH the drama potential I can see it so clearly—

Parker srsly if you don’t write this I might have to ngl, it’s too good of a premise it needs to come into existance one way or another 👀

First Impression: So I actually knew just a smidge about him before I started playing twst (shoutout to this character essay and this anituber's reactions to the twst cast). I thought he was kinda cute, green hair is always a top tier design choice, but I don't like stanning characters based off appearance alone (I mean, sure the essay had bits abt his insecurities but I need to see the trauma/insecurities in action before falling headfirst into the rabbithole)

Impression now: LOVE HIM!!! MY MOST FAVE OF THE DIASOMNIA PEEPS!! (😭so why does he keep forcing me to hit 100 pity everytime i aim for his ssrs😭) there's so much to dissect about his character and backstory, but aaaagh... i'll eventually get to bingereading book 7... Eventually!! (I also hear his Halloween SSR vignette has some interesting food for plot 👀 but alas, gotta keep myself unspoiled)

Favorite moment: kinda related to my first (proper) impression, but i'll never forget how hard i ugly-laughed while reading this vignette👇

Unpopular opinion: Sebek isn't actually that loud? Idk... he reads to me as someone who's pretty level-headed 78% of the time, he is a trained knight and while he is highstrung, I think he can rein it in better than most of the first years, at least (in a reader insert, i'm not gonna write him very noisy, i believe mans shuts up if u make out sloppy style)

Favorite relationship: Tbh, I can enjoy most Sebek ships, he deserves to be drowned in love 😤 He's another one of those characs I love seeing in any ship art, ull never get me to choose one (1) out of em all!!

would jinny be on young justice, will it be long distance, what would their dynamic be?

My gut instinct was to say that I’d probably want to focus on them in those first/awkward stages of dating? Half the fun of reading for me sometimes is just enjoying the journey of two idiots figuring things out. Sometimes ya just want some sickly sweet fluff!

But the more that I think abt Cassie having a fraught history dating Kon/Tim, the metas abt comphet & okay also CassieRose visits my mind a LOT, not rent-free just as a surprise guest atm… also Jinny still on the heels of finding her last gf cheating & when we last saw her doin the road-trip thing with her friend (now kinda-sister???)

I’m like 👀 there’s some messy potential here AND I LOVE IT

But to circle back & try to answer in mostly the same order:

If DC were to give me the reins to write a run today, I’d def want to know what Outsiders is gonna do with Jinny first & make sure I’m not stepping on too many toes obvsly. Long distance I think doesn’t really factor when one of the pair is able to fly so uh 😅 change in setting would have to be more of a factor to consider that? (Again, college AU I might consider it for its conflict potential 🤔) (also what qualifies as long distance bc I’ve got a friend who’s dating a guy that’s like 3hrs away, but that’s Texas distance so it’s nbd for them to see each other on weekends but I know some ppl would consider Not Living in the Same City as long distance so aksjsks) idk, distance just isn’t a big deal to me in Gen tho too. Like, You Find A Way to make it work or you don’t and that’s where delicious Conflict™️ can take root lol

And ahh dynamic… that age-old question… who’s Red/Blue, the Grump/Sunshine, who falls first vs who falls harder, god there’s so many things to consider. I do think I fall back on thinking of them as the Opposite Worlds Attract kinda dynamic (wait no, now I’m thinking of night at the museum and zom made that gemhex, not wonderhex I’m 😭😭😭)

Argh…. Ngl i sent this one to more than one person in the circle of perverts bc I want to force ppl to say nice things abt themselves and now i gotta do the same thing. I feel like my answer before this year would’ve been my dialogue!!!!!!! Like. I do think i’m good at that. It’s hard to even say that because I feel like when I do enjoy a good quip and i feel like whenever i reread my original stuff im like “oh. I’m so marvel brained”. I don’t think dialogue is my strength in cloneverse tho.  At least. I don’t think it stands out. But otherwise that’s what i would land on.

Maybe it’s bc i’ve been in a very sorry for myself slump lately bc my current wip is giving me such a struggle but i don’t even know. Before now and my latest wip driving me crazy I would’ve said. Maybe coherence or theming? Like i don’t even know if thats a thing i CAN say like is it possible to be good at themes? Sorry im being so hard on myself rn I think if i were to look at my writing i would say i think it’s halfway decent but i don’t know the answer to the question…

Oh this is an interesting one. For such a long time the answer would’ve been my old Talentswap fic for DR, tbh it always was like. Surprising and honestly kinda nice to get like a random comment of someone being like ‘hey i just discovered this! Sad its not updating but i really enjoyed it!” something like that. And I think b/c it was multichap it was very interesting and different when ppl were reading Almost for sure.

My secret weird answer is IYWD. Like. I’m at peace with the fact that its practically dead and nobody is gonna find it again i guess but a small part of me still considers it my favorite thing i’ve done in a long time so nobody does comment anymore but. That would be the thing i secretly kinda want. I’ll take literally anything tho obviously i love anybody that ever comments on anything.

I have a Love is Blind au for a fandom I’m not gonna mention. Idk i might’ve mentioned it somewhere but eh. Its like ten chapters but only the first 5-ish are done i’m kinda 

And i’ve talked abt this this isn’t really a. Like. Oh I’m hiding this forever thing but. I have a DR Togakure hookup fic that’s written like. To take place during a naegiri wedding like in the post first game canon. And it is one of my favorite things i’ve ever written even tho it is smut, ngl my friends have been trying to convince me to post it and i might but im genuinely terrified nobody is gonna read it and im gonna be. Sad about it

Lol um… lj3porter fic. I’m two sentences into twelfth night coded j2 wooing Jace for Porter fic. Unfinished creeper Jace + j2porter fic…  a Jace topping Zara zarajaceporter fic. A fic that is in the IYWD verse that’s like a prequel that’s normal SB related. And if we could old fandoms I have semi abandoned talent swap (the ch 3.3 doc is like 10k lmao). Love is blind au.

If we’re counting original projects. My fantasy pseudo taming retelling. Horror comedy / locked room mystery called Date / Die. I have a. Sports romance (don’t look at me). And my weird lofty rom com thing that is this decade spanning story and used to be abt a “platonic” romance but idk I was like. They’re best friends they’re the most important ppl in the world to each other and they like having sex does that make this a normal romance. Maybe. Maybe not.

This is such a weird pull b/c i haven’t read it in years but Wing Man is a Bokuaka fic thats one of my fav of all time that makes me so happy idk its so like. Sweet and tbh i feel bad i never commented on it i really should bc they deserve to know i still think about it. but i just don’t reread fic all that often even my favs.

Actually that’s a lie i just remembered! I’ll cite something recent and i’m a little shy to cite something from the circle of perverts but also this is completely sincere i know i jokingly call @innskeep bambi’s LJ3 fic the perfect piece of fiction all the time but i do reread it… I just like them. I think it’s really cute and i like my little guys…  I love getting J3’s pov so much like i genuinely think its so comforting and special…

I won’t lie I have a total DurDawn soft spot so like. I do think it wouldn’t fun to write something small for them. Also fucking hilarious as zukkacore that I’ve never written zukka and like. In my heart I would like too but they’re almost too precious for that? It’s hard to explain. Actually another answer might be for Mailee I actually think Mailee is soooooo underrated as a ship bc they have so much potential to be good for each other that wasn’t able to foster under azula’s thumb so I like that slightly toxic edge

I do a little bit of research but honestly not at much as i should. Last super deep dive i did was on the different filipino mythologies and history throughout the different regions bc ithink that subject is so interesting. but that has nothing to do with the sb circle that was for my own stuff. Lately I had to look up a little bit of elvish for something sb related lol. im such a fake fan of LOTR i love it but i’ve never actually read the books

🧠 What’s an idea you have that you can’t quite call a WIP yet?

A few! I’ve talked abt Jace hireling au I think that would be fun. And I joke abt Clone gamechanger au all the time and I SAID I wanted to try and make it work so like. Maybe. I’d love to try clone gamechanger au i think its funny and cute and i wanna do something indulgent.I feel like i’m forgetting something. Jess has real estate in j2porter vegas roleplay so i kinda wanna try maybe doing J2porter 50s housewife roleplay as a sort of sequel? I still like the idea of doing a You’ve Got Mail Shop Around the Corning fic. And. I feel so so so so indulgent wanting to write LJ3 stuff but like i just like them. Funnily enough, I actually started writing the next chapter of BHaMB last week!! I got inspired to continue my work, and so far, so good! So look out for that one! >:D

And to answer your question, if Doflamingo killed Sanji right then and there, you better believe Law would lose all semblance of control, drop everything he planned and worked for just to try and kill Doflamingo too. And I'm not gonna lie, he might die too because of his recklessness and rage. He's already fucked up to begin with during that fight and we all know he's... well... suicidal in the sense that he doesn't care if he dies as long as Doflamingo dies too. So, yeah, it's a pretty depressing outcome if that were to happen ToT

Doflamingo seeing some of Cora in Sanji like Law does though... hmmm 👀 I hope you don't mind if I use this in my fic Anon because I LOVE the idea >:3
