Does anyone else feel like they portrayal Kabru "cooler" in the anime than he is in the manga?
There's so many tiny differences that I feel like add up to a lack of the complex characterization he has in the manga. Small stuff like his facial expressions in certain scenes that to me reveal who he actually is behind his façade.
One of the ones that bothered me the most was this as he realizes Laios' true nature of a monster lover
In the anime he feels analytical/ thoughtful during this part but in the manga he's clearly more thrown off/disappointed with the realization.
And worst of all from the episode when he says bye to Laios
This is what we see of him as he says goodbye, his side profile from not too close and his EAR
And then he says "don't forget it next time" while posing and leaving as if it's an afterthought and not the main point he was making
This is how this interaction goes in the manga
His expression as he thinks about asking
His expression as he asks him to remember
He makes sure of it before even moving onto the exit. "Don't forget it next time, okay?" It's important for him and to me all these small expressions are important to realize that, it isnt some cool exiting phrase he just says, I thought thats what it felt like in the anime 🤔
And now on today's episode
Isn't this framed as Shuro seeing him as someone sinister? While in the manga this is framed as something lame edit: unhinged about him not something mysterious (Kabru looking at him moving away from Kabru vs Kabru moving away showing his back to shuro)
I might be thinking way too much into this but all these little details add up to me and make me feel sad that part of the complexity I love about Kabru is being lost. I was wondering if anyone else that read the manga felt similarly.

“Kento?”
You shakily step forward, your shoulder tilted back under Satoru’s grip as he firmly holds you back.
Just as you had found some sort of peace, just as you had managed to bandage and lick your wounds, the world won’t let you have peace. The honeyed gaze you’d mourned for so long stands tall at the treeline staring right back at you. His skin is covered from head to toe in scarred skin, the left half of his body now with more subtle scars from the stomach acid of the curse you’d been swallowed by almost two months ago. Most noticeably, a new marking runs along the top of his head. As though it’s been sliced open and stitched back together again.
You blink, feeling as though you’re seeing some sort of sick illusion designed to make you feel ill. Because you are. The rational part of you knows this isn’t him, souls don’t get to come back from the afterlife once Miriko has escorted them onwards.
And yet he stands here before you, his eyes devoid of their regular warmth.
It’s not him. It’s not Kento.
And it tears you to pieces knowing that someone took his body from you, when Miriko might even have been able to save him.
“Who are you?” You ask meekly. Satoru’s grip on you doesn’t waver, holding you back as you try to step forward again. You pull against him but his fingers curl into your shoulder as though he has intention to bruise.
Kento’s- no- the person’s gaze narrows, a sly smirk finding its way to Kento’s lips in an expression that makes your skin crawl. It’s so uncharacteristic for him that you physically recoil at the sight.
“I see you’re keeping secrets, Gojo.” Even his voice sounds wrong, the way it seems to hold syllables in a crooked manner.
That’s not Kento. The phrase repeats itself in your mind at every turn, the only fact grounding you right now.
Gojo doesn’t give the imposter the satisfaction of the response he wants. “What do you want, Kenjaku?”
You can’t bring yourself to tear your gaze from the stolen body of your lover to look to Gojo for answers, feeling as though you’ll fall apart the moment he’s out of sight. As though his image, stolen or not, is the only thing capable of saving your sanity in this instant, equally the thing capable of making you fall apart at any moment.
“Isn’t that an interesting plan your Vessel has some up with?” He tilts his head, a cold glimmer in his gaze. Electricity runs up your spine and you shiver.
“I thought he was dead?” Yuji whispers, staying out of earshot of Kenjaku. The name feels foreign to relate to Nanami’s likeness.
“He should be,” Gojo hisses, his hand hot on your shoulder. Anger radiates from him as he responds to Kenjaku. “You have thirty seconds to explain yourself before you’re a hole in the ground.” His voice drips with venom.
“Very well. I’m here to keep you all distracted.”
A grin curls his lips, petrifying you to the spot. Anger and agony turmoil deep within you, your legs shaking.
“But it would appear my job is done,” he hums in satisfaction. “Goodbye Satoru, Sukuna. y/n,” his voice lowers as he utters your name, turning on his heel and waving as he parts the treeline.
“No!” Your cry pierces the sky as you dash forward. Whether it’s your suffering or your anger fueling you, whether you would tear him apart or beg for him back, you don’t know. One way or the other, your feet carry you to him before your mind can catch up.
Before you can reach the treeline, a pair of strong arms restrain you, pulling you back. The pads of your fingers dig into his skin as you clutch desperately against his muscles, trying with every ounce of strength to escape the arms, but they don’t relent.
“Yuji, get Kusakabe and Choso and go after him!” Gojo instructs, making a point for Yuji not to go after him alone. Your student dashes off as you try desperately to tear yourself away from Gojo.
“Please!” You cry desperately as tears start to fall and your breathing begins to falter.
“y/n, it’s not him,” he reminds you softly, his voice hushed and gentle. As your body begins to shake in his grasp, no longer pushing against him, he catches you as your knees give out. Lowering the both of you slowly to the ground, he doesn’t dare let you go.
“They took him from me,” you cry out breathlessly, your vision blurring behind your tears.
“I know sweetheart,” Satoru comforts, gently rubbing your arm.
As the realization of Nanami’s stolen likeness turns to reality in your mind, your breaths turn shallow, the edges of your vision going white. You curl into yourself, gasping desperately for air as you shake violently, unable to hold yourself up.
Satoru recognizes your pain from when you were in the hospital, his muscles tensing around you as he realizes you’re panicking as you gasp for air. For help.
In contrast to when this happened in the hospital, Satoru doesn’t feel useless as he lets go of you, only to sit down on his knees in front of you, gentle fingers tangling with yours.
“Focus on my voice darling,” he whispers, his thumbs running over the back of your knuckles as your lungs burn under the crushing weight of anxiety. Your eyes flicker to his face as a sob wracks your body.
“I- I can’t-”
He shushes you softly. “I’m here, I’m not going anywhere.”
You clutch desperately to his hand, letting him pull one of his hands from your grip as he uses it to cup your face, wiping your tears.
It wasn’t fair. Wasn’t fair that you never had a chance to try to save your boyfriend.
Your anxiety threatens to swallow you whole, to envelop you in darkness, and as it does you feel something within you slipping. The more thoughts of Kento race through your mind, the more you feel it again.
The same twisting feeling in your gut of losing yourself. Losing your humanity. You hunch forward, your stomach threatening to wretch against your will as you claw desperately at the ground.
This time, though, you’re not alone.
And as the threat of losing yourself grows deeper and darker and stronger, so too does Satoru’s resolve as he recognizes your pain and agony.
Like a hand reaching through the darkness, he finally reaches you.
“y/n! Sweetheart, c’mon. Listen to me, listen to my voice,” you aren't sure how long he’s been trying to get through to you, but as he cups your face and moves your vision up to him, you manage a breath of air. As it fills your lungs, your vision clears just a bit. “That's it, breathe for me.”
Your lashes flutter as you focus on his chest, slowing your breaths as you cling to him like a life preserver.
His voice keeps you above water, and as your breathing steadies, you look up at him through teary lashes.
“Here with me now?”
You nod slowly, lips parted as relief floods Satoru’s expression. His blindfold sits around his neck, gaze focused entirely on you, like nothing else in the world could ever matter.
Taking a deep breath, you straighten your back and pull your cheeks from the sorcerer’s gentle grip on you, taking a moment to get your bearings. Your body feels hot and there’s a faint tremor in your hands still, but the relief of feeling air in your lungs pulls any focus away from the aftereffects of panic.
As Gojo’s arms fall to his lap, your eyes trail his movements, landing on his arm where you had gripped him in an attempt to break free of him. To your horror, decay litters the back of his forearm, cracks wrapping his muscles. They extend the length of his forearm, wrapping up to the middle of his bicep.
Glancing down at your own hands, still tremoring lightly, you realize you have matching splits littered across your own skin from the tips of your fingers.
“Oh my god,” you whisper, gingerly reaching out to hold his arm. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to-”
“It’s okay,” he soothes with a calm grin. To your surprise and relief you can see now that it is veeeery slowly healing. “Crazy technique though, you don’t make it easy to heal.”
You shoot him a sorrowful glance, resting your hand on the ground and transferring cursed energy from the life of the grass beneath you into both his and your arms.
“I’m so sorr-”
“Stop apologizing,” he insists before you can even get one apology out in full, flexing his hand as you heal it with ease. The ground beneath you shrivels and decays, spreading across the ground in a random root-like pattern. With his arm healed, he holds it out in front of him with a grin. “See? Good as new.”
It’s oddly reassuring and you shoot him the best lopsided smile you can manage, though it doesn’t meet your eyes. Although you both had a long way to go in understanding one another, and certainly a long way to go when it came to anger and being constantly at odds with one another, Gojo was surprisingly understanding with you at this moment. Soft, even, and it puts you at ease.
Getting to his feet, he brushes his knees off and pulls you up with him.
“Thank you, Satoru. I- I think I would have… lost it again without you.”
He hums as he runs a thumb over your knuckles. “Not losin’ it on my watch,” he squeezes your hand reassuringly, giving you a gentle tug towards him. When you follow his lead, he tucks you against his body, eyes scouring the treeline. They shine brightly and you wonder just what he can see with his Six Eyes.
He grimaces after a moment, pulling his blindfold up over his face.
“He’s gone,” he tells you, breathing out through his nose.
You follow his gaze out to the treeline. “Who was that? Who’s Kenjaku?”
“A sorcerer who seems to want us to suffer,” he starts. You glance up at him, wondering if there’s a deeper meaning behind his words than the surface level nod to what he’d taken from you here and now. “He has the ability to move between bodies,” he explains, his chest rising and falling as he lets out a breath.
“Why- Why would he…?”
“He wants me dead. He wants me to hurt, and you got caught in the middle.” He hangs his head, strands of white hair straying from their upright position to lay over his blindfold. “Fuck,” he mutters simply under his breath.
“What did you do to him?” You ask, trying to keep your voice light-hearted though it doesn’t come across as such.
“Ha ha,” he shoots you a smile, knowing you intended it as a joke despite your tone. “He just wants to watch the world burn,” he shrugs, “and I’m the strongest.”
“You’ve mentioned that,” you mumble, chewing on your lip. “Is Yuji okay?”
“He’s fine. Him and Choso are on their way back, let’s go meet with them.”
You nod slowly, but as Gojo takes a step forward and you remain cemented to the spot, your gaze on the ground, he turns to face you. His brow visibly knits together in confusion beneath his eye covering, examining your pained and confused expression.
“I’m not over him,” you tell the snowy-haired sorcerer quietly. You see the way his biceps tense, pulling the fabric of his dress shirt’s sleeves taut. “I-” you hesitate. “I guess I just feel like a bit of a mess.”
He scratches at the back of his neck, and you wish you could more clearly see his expression, but it’s half blocked. A pit forms in your stomach, twisting in discomfort.
“I-” You pause, trying to make sense of your own emotions. “I don’t mean that- that I don’t care for you, Satoru.” You bite your lip in an attempt to ease your nerves. “I just mean that… Seeing him now, again- I mean I know it’s not him but-” you close your eyes, taking a deep breath. Staring up at Satoru from beneath your lashes, you finally manage to get your point across. “Seeing him just feels like a reminder that the wounds are still fresh.”
From where he stands a foot away, he shifts on his feet as he takes a moment to make sense of your words. The gentle smile that pulls at the corners of his lips is one you recognize immediately. It’s fake. You know him all too well now that you recognize the smile he braves on his lips when he’s forcing himself to be strongest, and in that moment you’re thankful you can’t see his eyes. The guilt pooling in your stomach might just eat you alive.
“I’ll be here when you’re ready,” he assures, his tone hammering home the point that he’s not as ‘okay’ as he’s letting on, but neither are you and you’re no in any state of mind to be trying to help him. Certainly not when the guilt of leading him on eats you alive.
“Satoru…” You chew on the inside of your cheek absent-mindedly.
It’s unfair.
Unfair of the world.
Unfair to you.
Unfair to Satoru.
You can handle the world being unfair to you. It’s a familiar old friend sidling its way along throughout the entirety of your life. Living the shadows, but always there.
Yet looking at Satoru now, it hurts that it’s not fair to him. It hurts that you know you aren’t being fair to him.
It hurts even more when he still offers you his arm, and you still take it. You don’t have the strength to handle this on your own, afraid of losing everything in the face of your grief. So selfishly, you wrap your hand around his strong arm, letting him shoot you his fake smirk.
It makes you angry, though. Angry at yourself for continuing to hold him at a distance while keeping him just close enough to have him there when you needed him. Using him. Using his feelings for you.
You let out a shaky breath as your mind drowns you in doubts. Should you be so angry when he’d used you for so long? When he had done to you far worse than simply keeping you at arms’ length?
It was easier to blame him, to be angry with him, but that wasn’t fair either.
Because the truth is simple.
You care. You care a whole hell of a lot. Because if you didn’t, then this wouldn’t hurt so bad as it twists and boils in the pit of your stomach. It wouldn’t make you feel like you’re about to wretch.
“You alright?” His voice breaks through your stupor, your eyes lifting to see his cheery smirk.
You frown, but nod.
He hums. “You sure?”
You don’t give him an answer, your brow pulled together as you questioningly narrow your eyes at him. He smirks, jutting his chin out at your fingers, your knuckles white with how tightly you were gripping his arm.
“You’re holding onto me like I’m gonna fly away ‘r something,” he laughs with a teasing lilt.
You blink down at your grip on his arm, relaxing your muscles and easing the tension around his arm, though it didn’t seem to be bothering him all that much. “Sorry. I’m okay.”
He nods in acknowledgment before letting a comfortable silence fall over you both as you make your way towards the school’s main entrance. As you approach, you’re able to make out the figures of Kusakabe, Itadori, Shoko, Yaga, and Choso. Fushiguro is a small distance from the group as well, likely keeping space between himself and Itadori.
As you grow closer, you hear Kusakabe and Yaga discussing the strength of Kenjaku’s barriers in comparison to the barrier surrounding the school, and their concern for the fact that the attacks on the school seemed to be growing in frequency.
You let your hands fall from Satoru’s arm, straightening your posture and steeling your expression as you both arrive at the group. Still, you’re met with pitying stares that only further the shame and sadness you feel.
“He got away,” Satoru comments as eyes turn to him.
Choso nods. “We went after him but he threw himself into a group of humans and we lost track of him,” he explains with a miserable tone.
“Shouldn’t he be dead?” Yaga asks as he turns to face Satoru with crossed arms and a pointed stare.
“I thought he was,” he confirms, though Yaga’s huff of irritation even brings a grimace to Gojo’s face.
“y/n, how are you doing?” Yaga’s voice softens as he turns his attention to you. The pitious tone he uses makes your stomach stir in utter embarrassment as your mouth opens and closes once, twice, words lost on your tongue.
“She’s fine,” Satoru interrupts and for once you’re thankful he’s taking the words from your mouth, but Yaga isn’t so pleased.
“Satoru Gojo, I wasn’t speaking to you. Don’t test me, you’ve done enough lately, or do you want to talk about the incident with the higher-ups now?” Despite the inherent gravity of the subject, his demeanor is that of a parent or teacher scolding a child, and it seems to get to Satoru in such a way as well.
He averts his gaze from Yaga, arms crossing over his chest. “They were asking for it,” he grumbles childishly.
A small smirk makes its way to your lips as Yaga brings a thumb and forefinger to the bridge of his nose, growing frustrated. He mutters something under his breath about granting him strength before raising a hand in the air, waving it dismissively. “Consider yourself lucky that I’m ending this conversation here, for now,” he warns.
Gojo’s head falls back, mouth open in a child-like silent groan that has you stifling a giggle.
“Let’s get our facts straight,” Yaga ignores Gojo’s little outburst, focusing on the task at hand.
“Kenjaku is using Nanami’s body. He was able to make his way through the barrier and straight to y/n and Gojo, telling them it was a distraction,” Yaga lays out the facts.
“But nothing is missing and no traces of any other curses or curse-users were found,” Kusakabe continues, chewing on a toothpick thoughtfully.
Leaving Gojo’s side, you make your way over to Yuji, who looks a bit shaken. He’s deep in thought, jumping when he notices you beside him. His salmon hair is more disheveled than usual, his playful demeanor replaced with a thoughtful and serious expression.
Your voice is low when you speak with him, Kusakabe and Gojo discussing some details of the encounter behind you. “What are you thinking, Yuji?”
He instinctively brings a hand up to his cheek where Sukuna usually appears. “I just keep thinking about the finger that Cho and I found,” he admits, eyes trained on the grass beneath him. “If they didn’t take it, I don’t know what they could be after.”
“How many fingers are left?”
“Not including the one here, three.”
“Could they have found the other three?”
Yuji weighs the theory against his own thoughts, shrugging. “Why distract us if they’re nowhere near the school?”
Taking a step to the side, you turn your attention to Satoru. His arms are crossed over his broad chest, soft hands rested over each bicep. His gaze is trained on Kusakabe with a serious expression. Though he doesn’t give it away, you recognize that he seems worn out, a look you’re sure you carry as well.
Focusing on the latest attack, if you could even call it that, you wonder if Yuji could be right. How far does his Six Eyes technique allow him to see? Could he in theory have stopped them from getting fingers even if they were far from the school? Why would it matter anyway? At the end of the day, whether Jujutsu Tech gathered them all or the curses did, twenty fingers will always be twenty fingers.
“What if he was lying?” Yuji’s voice breaks you out of your thoughts.
“Hm?”
“They couldn’t kill Gojo on their own in Shibuya and that was without you in the picture, right?” He glances behind you at the eyes now trained on him. “They want you gone.”
“They wanted you to transform,” Kusakabe nods in agreement, running a hand through his short brown hair. The older man huffs, fiddling with the toothpick between his teeth. “They wanted to kill ya while you’re down.”
“Guess we should consider ourselves lucky you didn’t, then,” Yaga grunts, frowning. “What kept you with us this time?”
Slowly, your eyes trail towards Satoru, quickly followed by the steady gazes of the rest of the group. He tries hard to hide it, but the blush that dusts his cheeks is obvious, at least to you. Gingerly, he scratches the back of his undercut in an effort to divert attention away from the growing heat on his features.
To think that Gojo of all people had become your rock, you’re positive no one could expect it. You certainly couldn’t have, even a couple of weeks ago. But as thoughts and memories of earlier that morning flood your mind and your cheeks heat up in a shade similar to his, you can’t help but wonder what the hell the twisting feeling in your stomach is meant to be.
Guilt or confusion, maybe both? You aren’t sure.
All you know is that it feels as though it’s eating you alive, a sickly feeling gnawing at your every limb.
With a knowing expression, Shoko finally chimes in, her finger twirling the end of her hair. “I hate to interrupt, boys, but I’d like to do an exam with y/n.”
Yaga waves his hand dismissively. You catch the way Gojo stares between you both as he watches you wave to Yuji and follow after her. Though you can’t see his expression, you can envision the intense stare behind the black blindfold.
Your shoulders slump as you follow after Shoko, your expression visibly falling.
“You look like you’re about to pass out,” she comments bluntly, shooting you a small smile behind her usual tired expression.
You blink in surprise, chewing on your lip. “Do I?”
“You’re as pale as a ghost,” she confirms, concern etched into her features. The click of a lighter can be heard as she lights a cigarette and brings it to her lips. She pauses after climbing the stairs, leaning over the railing as she takes a long drag of the cigarette. She offers you a drag as well but you shake your head.
Taking a place beside her, she casts you a sidelong glance as she lets out a puff of smoke. From this angle, the destruction to the far half of the school grounds is glaringly obvious and stirs a familiar uneasiness in your chest.
It’s easy to forget that was just over a month ago. Even easier to forget that it was you who caused that damage. Still, it was the one portion of that day you had no recollection of whatsoever. You were just thankful your memories of your final moments with Kento returned to you.
Your eyes drift to the group you’d just left, attention training on Satoru as you reminisce over the morning, which somehow felt like years ago already.
“You two seem to be on better terms lately,” she comments.
You nod slowly, gripping the railing before you. “He decided to stop being insufferable,” you agree with a breathy laugh.
Shoko smiles, her eyes closing as the corners crinkle at your comment. “No more extortion?”
“No more,” you chuckle in agreement. The exhaustion of the morning begins to catch up with you and you slump your shoulders at the feeling, leaning your chin on your arms against the railing.
Sensing your unease, Shoko stubs out the cigarette and makes a motion for you to follow to her office.
The familiar sterile walls and bright lights feel like an assault on your senses as you blink in order to acclimate yourself to the room. You follow Shoko’s silent instruction to sit on the hospital bed as she pats it.
Shoko is silent throughout her testing, eventually determining you were dehydrated and advising you to sleep, which you happily agreed to do once the IV drip had run its course. Given that you were a Vessel, being in a hospital again was a strange feeling, but Miriko insisted dehydration wasn’t something she could heal. As if Shoko’s scolding wasn’t enough, now a dragon was scolding you over your health. Great.
Sitting with her clipboard in hand, Shoko taps the back of her pen against the paper. “It was you, wasn’t it?” She thinks aloud, calm eyes observing your confused expression. “That he brought Suguru to. All those years ago.”
“Oh, Geto?” You ask softly, remembering that Yuta had mentioned he was Gojo and Shoko’s friend. She nods. “That was me,” you confirm, voice small under Shoko’s observant gaze. She bears no scrutiny or malice in her expression, but still you can’t help but feel partially as though she’s silently judging you.
Then again, that isn’t how Shoko is. “What did he go to you for?”
“He asked me to bring Geto’s soul to the afterlife.”
It takes her a moment to process your reply. “Good. I’m glad. He’s safe?” She asks, her voice strained.
“Miriko is the in-between. I don’t know, but I assume he is.” It’s not the most reassuring, but it’s the truth. At least he wasn’t trapped in his body with Kenjaku anymore. That in and of itself was a semblance of peace of mind for you with Kento.
Busying herself with more testing, you let her prod at you as she needs. Listening to your breathing through a stethoscope, you’re both startled as Satoru nonchalantly walks in, ducking through the doorway with a grin that quickly turns to concern at the sight of the IV hooked up to you.
“What’s wrong?” He asks, rushing to your bedside in the most unsubtle fashion you’ve ever seen. You feel your muscles tense as guilt crashes over you again.
“You’re messing with my work, Satoru,” Shoko grumbles, lifting her head as your breath hitches at the sight of the white-haired sorcerer.
Before he has the chance to respond, you interject. “I’m fine,” you assure him.
He frowns, searching your expression for any sign that you’re lying, but when he can’t find one he huffs. “Fine,” he grumbles, turning to leave. He casts you one last glance before he’s out the door.
Shoko rolls her eyes, returning to listening to your breathing. Once satisfied, she leans back in her chair and writes your results on her clipboard. “We gonna talk about that?”
“About what?”
She smirks, leaning forward. “You know I could hear your breathing and heart when he came in, right?”
You pale, if that’s even possible. “Oh.”
“Mhmm.”
“He just scared me,” you lie through your teeth.
“Right,” she agrees, letting up far easier than you expected. She gets to her feet and turns to face the counter, washing her hands as she removes the latex gloves over her hands. “He looks at you the same way he looked at Suguru.”
Your jaw tenses as you fumble with the fabric of your dress on your lap. “Things changed a lot in the last month,” you admit quietly. Shoko eyes you over her shoulder quietly as she lets you continue. “He kissed me this morning.”
Her brow raises, arms crossing over her chest as she turns to face you. Leaning back on the counter behind her, she tilts her head curiously. “You don’t seem very excited considering your heart rate when he walked in.”
Your lips part as you hesitate. “I’m scared,” you admit. She comes to sit on the edge of the bed, her weight causing the thin mattress to dip beneath her. Her presence is oddly comforting and you realize you should have spent more time with her to begin with.
“Why’s that?”
Your chest tightens as you wonder where to begin. Things were scary with Nanami, sure, especially given that there was a decent amount of patience required on his part to ease you into your first relationship in a long time, but with Gojo everything was tenfold.
“I don’t know if I’m ready,” you admit through the sea of emotions plaguing you. “I’m not over Kento yet and this morning… I know it wasn’t him but…” You trail off, eyes trained on a jar full of cotton swabs though you may as well have been staring at the wall.
“It’s not easy to lose someone you love,” she agrees to urge you on.
“I think I feel guilty. Like I’m betraying Ken by moving on so fast,” your voice is barely a whisper and Shoko has to lean in to hear you. She takes a deep breath, nodding slowly.
“He would want you to be happy, you know. He always put others before himself.”
It stings, hearing the words you know already said aloud. You know, you know more than anyone could ever tell you. It doesn’t make it any easier, though. It doesn’t make you feel any less guilty. Worse still, it brings tears to your eyes knowing he would want you to pursue things with Gojo if it meant your happiness.
Bringing a hand up to your face, you rub your temple. It almost gives you a headache simply at the thought of it.
As the IV drip finishes, she stands up from the bed, grabs one of the cotton swabs, and presses it to your arm, using medical tape to secure it. Leaving her hand on your arm for a moment, she stops you from getting up to head out.
“All I’m saying is that he looks like a puppy around you. He has for a while, actually,” she chuckles, a somber glimmer passing through her eyes so quickly you second-guess whether you even saw it. “I know he wasn’t good to you for a while, but he does care a lot.”
You swallow hard, the lump in your throat doing your tired body no favors. Thanking Shoko, you give her a small wave and move to head back to your cabin- Satoru’s cabin.
Really, it had started to feel like yours as well. If you thought about it for longer than a moment, you knew at the end of the day there was a semblance of home returning to your life, something you were certain you wouldn’t feel if not for him- for Satoru.
Where once you had considered your old cottage your home, and to a degree you still did, now your home lived within those around you. Where once your home lived within Nanami and Taro, you’d be a fool to say you weren’t warming up to the idea of Gojo being your home.
Maybe it was worth a shot. Maybe, when the time came, you would be willing to pursue something with him.
Locking eyes with him through the kitchen window of the little cabin you were heading towards, a small smile easily finds its place on your lips like clockwork.
–
The past few days with Satoru had been… odd. He didn’t seem to know what to do with himself after you had told him you weren’t over Kento. He was overbearing at times, practically attempting to drown you in water after finding that you’d been dehydrated, while other times you would catch him staring while being strangely distant with you.
Talks with Shoko helped and had become a nightly occurrence and a good opportunity to give both you and Gojo some time apart. You figured the both of you needed it, given the circumstances of your relationship.
You made an effort to try to find more time for your own hobbies as well, returning to tending your garden outside the old cabin that had once been your home. It brought with it a sense of calm which you were grateful for.
With the sun setting overhead, its warm rays leaving room for the cooler night air, you breathe out a sigh of relief at the sight of a full bed of flowers before you. Your eyes drift over the beautiful summer colors and you find yourself gently running your fingers through the petals of a gorgeous yellow peony that had bloomed far larger than the rest.
Though you’d seen him making his way towards you, you look up with a soft smile as Satoru’s long afternoon shadow stands tall over the bed of flowers before you.
“Thought I’d find you out here,” he smiles, white lashes fluttering from behind his dark shades. You preferred when he wore his shades, allowing you to see his striking blue eyes.
“Am I so predictable?” You giggle, not expecting an answer. He sits down at your side with his arms holding his knees, looking over the array before you. His gaze lands on the peony in your hand, planted soundly beside a peace lily.
“What kind of flower is that?”
“It’s a peony,” you tell him, removing your hand from the blossom. It sways back and forth in tandem with the rest of the buds in the breeze.
“Is it your favorite?”
“No,” you sigh, a bittersweet smile gracing your lips. But it was Kento’s. You don’t dare say it, but Satoru can see it in your smile.
“Which one is your favorite?” He asks, clearing his throat.
Humming, you glance over the array of summer blossoms sitting before you. Each one has a different meaning, carefully chosen to be part of the flowerbed before you for one reason or another.
“I think I like the blue Hydrangeas best,” you decide, pointing to a stem with dozens of flowers bundled at the top in a gorgeous little bouquet of their own. Blue at the top, they fade to a purple and eventually a pink at the bottom of the stem due to how you had watered them. It was a fun little trick you had learned with them that your father had taught you that he had learned from your mother. Though you knew next to nothing about her, it was one of the only things you had to hold onto from her.
“Flowers all mean something, right?” He asks, satisfied with himself when you nod affirmatively. “What about that one?” He asks, staring pointedly at the Hydrangeas.
“Beauty, prosperity, forgiveness, and good intentions.”
He tilts his head at them curiously before his gaze trails slowly across the rest of the blossoms. “What about those ones?” He points to a red blossom tucked in the back of the bed with similar petals to the peony.
“That’s a carnation. They symbolize deep love and affection,” you say softly, looking up at the way his eyes shine as he listens to you.
Sure enough, his questions devolve into a quiz. Questions about dahlias, begonias, tulips, magnolias, and finally landing on the peace lily. The first flower you always planted, which now sits proudly alongside the marigolds. The two flowers that brought you some sort of bittersweet peace.
“That’s a peace lily,” you tell him as he reaches out to gently run a single finger along the lily. They have a much different texture and look from the rest of the flower bed, and very rarely did they go with many of the arrays you put together for yourself, but nonetheless they were important to you.
Of course, Satoru asks what it means as he delicately removes his finger from the fragile bloom.
“Serenity in life, remembrance. Peace,” you tell him simply, staring at the resilient bud as it sways after leaving his fingers. You let out a small breath at the sight of the flower, averting your gaze from Satoru’s, ever watchful.
Usually you couldn’t get him to shut up, but for once his silence speaks the volumes that he doesn’t.
“What does it mean to you, y/n?”
You take a moment to consider his question, chewing on your lip. Sensing your unease at his question, he shuffles himself a bit closer to you. Despite the past few days being strange at best, his presence still gives you comfort and your heart warms knowing he’s trying to give you both the comfort and time you desire.
“I plant them in honor of the mother whose life I took. It- It was an accident,” you stammer over your words as you quickly try to explain yourself. He leans himself against you lightly, reassuringly.
“The one the higher-ups mentioned?”
You nod slowly, the memory a permanent scar on your conscience. “I didn’t know about my technique. My dad passed away and I accidentally awakened Miriko and…” you trail off, mouth opening and closing pitifully like a fish as you shake your head, staring down at your hands in your lap. Metaphorically bloodstained.
“It was an accident, it happens,” Gojo assures you, moving a hand to rub your back gently. You relax into his touch, your shoulders falling slack. Sliding his hand from your back to your shoulder, he pulls you into him. His warmth is a welcome contrast to the air that had long grown cool as the moon began to rise before you both, illuminating his hair and lashes in the most mesmerizing way.
“I know. Accident or not, I still orphaned a boy, though.”
A frown pulls at the corner of Gojo’s lips.
“I did too,” he admits. You stiffen in his grasp, turning to examine his expression but you can’t gleam anything from it. “Megs’ dad killed a girl around the first-years’ age when Megs was like… four or somethin’.” Running a hand through his hair to move it from his vision, he lets out a tense breath and you realize suddenly he’s only telling you this to ease your own guilt.
“He tried to kill me and-” he pauses. Suguru. He doesn’t need to say it. “Well, ‘tried’ might be an understatement,” he chuckles dryly. You stare up at him in shock, looking him over as though he was a ghost. No, his warmth is real.
“Wh-?”
“He killed me. Killed Amanai and her Guardian, would have killed Suguru if he wasn’t afraid of his technique. He was somethin’ else.”
Your jaw slacks at the revelation. He’d… died? Even with the Limitless technique? As much as you hated when everyone called him The Strongest, the name was fitting. It was hard to imagine a world without him, a world where he could fall.
Gojo runs his hand through his hair, this time more intently. He tilts his head so you can see the faintest hint of a scar that never quite fully healed even through his reverse cursed technique. It sits just below his hairline, in the shape of a jagged blade. You gasp at the sight, wide-eyed as you gingerly raise your hand up to his forehead. The skin is only faintly uneven beneath the pads of your fingers.
With his arm still holding you firmly to him, you feel his pulse quicken at your touch. You meet his longing gaze, biting your lip hesitantly at the sudden realization of how close you are to him. That very same longing reflects from deep within you, just barely visible beneath the cloud of guilt and uncertainty. And it’s that same haze that causes you to pull back your fingers, setting your hands delicately in your lap.
Despite your hesitance, Satoru is kind and patient. It’s not something you’d ever thought to be characteristic of him, but since the day you’d admitted to him that you weren’t over Kento, he’d remained steadfast in what he’d said.
He would wait for you. He would give you time.
“I think my favorites are the red ones,” he blurts out in an effort to spare you both of the awkward silence. He never was one for silence, after all. Parsing between the three species of red ones, you let the guilt and seriousness fade as you’re pulled back into conversation.
“Which ones?”
“The, um,” he pauses with narrowed eyes, “Dahlias?”
Your eyes light up at the choice, thrilled and maybe even a bit surprised that he remembered what they were called. “That’s a great choice!” You trill in a sing-song voice, all previous sorrows forgotten as you excitedly twirl in his direction.
“Yeah?” He tilts his head with a genuine smile as he urges you on.
Before you know it, you’re diving into the flowers’ origins, history, how to care for them, and the other colors that can decorate their petals.
“-they’re from the family of Aster flowers, native to Mexico-”
“-they come in about forty different species, and Japan isn’t a great place for them to grow, but during the summer they thrive-”
“-and they usually symbolize elegance and growth, but the red ones you like generally mean perseverance-”
Not once does he interrupt, not once does his gaze ever leave your excited face, nor does he show any disinterest. He listens through your entire excited explanation, not daring to say a word in case you might notice the endless drabble falling from your lips. He savors every moment of your genuine happiness.
As your prattle comes to a close, your cheeks redden as you realize that the Satoru you had come to know who rarely if ever shut up, is silent. If anything, you had taken his place, launching into a rave over flowers, which he surely didn’t care about-
“Tell me about those ones,” he points to a Flamingo flower, the only one to survive the unideal conditions of the Japanese summers for it, and your jaw slacks slightly as you stare at the genuine boyish grin creasing his cheeks with handsome dimples.
The sun is all but set at this point, a chill breeze pushing Satoru’s hair over his vision as he pointedly shakes his head to clear his vision, and yet here he is, asking you about flowers.
Your demeanor softens and you smile gratefully at him. Whether he does genuinely care, whether he’ll even remember a damn thing about the flowers you could barely see in the basking moonlight spreading over the horizon, you couldn’t be sure.
One way or the other, this moment felt like the only thing on earth that mattered.
Noticing your uncertainty at launching into another explanation, he tilts his chin and nods reassuringly, and so you proceed to tell him about the frail flower.
It’s strange how natural it feels to talk to him. As though you hadn’t fought for months on end over every little thing, as if you had known one another your whole lives. Like second nature.
Staring at the lone pink Flamingo flower, you realize just how serious he was when he said he would wait for you.
Here, in this fleeting moment of genuine calm and contentment, Satoru was exactly what you needed.
You smile up at him genuinely, a small jovial sigh parting your lips. “Thanks, Satoru.”
“For what?”
“Letting me go on about flowers,” you chuckle, a bit embarrassed over how long the two of you had been sitting in the patch of grass.
“I could listen to you talk all day.” His eyes are lidded, gleaming with something akin to adoration.
You purse your lips, your heart fluttering in your chest. Before you can convince yourself not to, you move forward and press a chaste kiss to his cheek, pushing yourself to your feet almost immediately.
His wide eyes meet yours with wonder as you offer him your hand. He takes it, moving to stand at your side as you chat about tomorrow’s lesson, his tall figure blocking the breeze from hitting your bare shoulders as he knowingly shields you from the wind.
As you arrive at the cabin and he bids you goodnight, you miss the way he watches you until you’ve closed the door behind you with a longing albeit affectionate look.
You don’t see the way he sneaks back out of the cabin, apologizing under his breath for picking one of your carefully tended flowers.
You miss the way he delicately and carefully pulls out a tall glass (he doesn’t have a vase, but he’s trying his best), and fills it with water.
But while you did miss all the small details, in the morning when you wake up and hear his gentle snores coming from his room, you don’t miss the way there’s a gorgeous red Babylon Carnation sitting in the center of the kitchen table.
Heat gathers at the base of your neck, spreading to your cheeks and up to the tips of your ears. Your heart thumps hard against the cage of your chest as your fingers delicately run across the crisp petals before you that hold more meaning than you’re ready to begin to unpack.
Deep love and affection.

BSD: An Absurdist Analysis - Ch. 114
My thoughts on "Crime and Punishment"
[BSD Absurdism Masterpost]
Okay, so! Fyodor probably isn't dead.
And my theory for what his ability is would tie into Asagiri's absurdist storytelling thus far.
In Sigma's flashback, we see Fyodor get impaled in a manner that is eerily similar to how he dies in the helicopter, a way that pratically guarantees his death. Yet, as Sigma observes, he must have escaped the execution in order for him to still be alive.
My theory, put simply, is that when someone successfully kills Fyodor, he takes their place.
His ability is called Crime and Punishment, right? And if the ultimate crime (sin) is murder, then the punishment would be death. So, then, perhaps when someone is able to kill Fyodor, it causes their death, and somehow Fyodor takes on their lifeforce (for lack of a better term) and is able to keep living.
This would also explain why he has been able to live for such a long time. If he keeps getting killed by people whose lifeforce he assumes, then he can theoretically live forever as long as people keep attempting to murder him.
This would explain the end of the chapter where the body is shown to clearly not be Fyodor's. The helicopter pilot would have paid the consequence for Fyodor's murder, and thus been the one to die. For whatever reason, I suppose this means he and Fyodor switched likenesses? This is further supported by the panel in the flashback/memory where something seems to be happening to the man who impaled Fyodor after he does so. This part I cannot explain as well, but I think y'all can understand what I'm getting at with this.
Additionally, this theory of Crime and Punishment explains the purpose of the prison-break game, he's been trying to goad Dazai into killing him all along so he can die in turn, and finally be rid of his rival.
(Edit: the above point is likely rendered invalid because No Longer Human would very likely protect Dazai from death by Fyodor’s ability. That being said, it further explains why Fyodor is so determined to kill Dazai — not only is he his match in wits, but he might be the only one capable of killing him for good.)
Further, it could possibly explain Nikolai's desire to kill Fyodor. Perhaps Nikolai knows the nature of Fyodor's ability, and is the only one who does, which is why he considers them to be so close. He idolizes Fyodor, and so he desires to one day kill him, because he knows it will kill him in turn and Fyodor will get to continue living on. This one's a bit of a reach, but I do think it's a potential explanation if my theory about Crime and Punishment is correct.
And now for how this all fits into absurdism!
Fyodor has been the main antagonist for a really long time, basically for half of the manga's run. Up until this point we've had little to no clues about the nature of his ability and if my theory turns out to be correct, wouldn't that just be the greatest absurdity of all time? A villain that literally cannot die because when someone kills him, they actually die instead of him? How do you even defeat such a person?
I'm fairly confident about this theory, my only question would be why he would reveal this now? Surely, he knows that Dazai would figure it out, both from Sigma and from the corpse clearly not being him, so what benefit does Fyodor gain from revealing not only that he's survived, but what his ability is?

Fae's Masterlist !!
Please Note: Will evidently update whenever something new is posted. My main focus is Gojo Satoru but alas, other characters will be added here !! I'll also include ao3 links whenever I post on there, too.
I write a lot of 18+ content, including dark content. Therefore, MINORS - DO NOT INTERACT OR FOLLOW.
Please always check the trigger / content warnings on each post!! If anything makes you uncomfortable, please just don't read and ignore. I might have posts you're comfy with and then some you're not. A lot of writers on here (from what I've seen) write dark content, but we all have our boundaries. For example, I'm never going to read anything involving drugs because that's a limit with me but, I'm not going to judge nor stop anyone from reading or writing with such content. Let's all just respect one another ; _ ; <3 mwah mwah.
Please also know that I write other content like fluff, angst, anything under the sun basically so don't worry if you think I only strictly write smut.
c: the cute dividers are done by: @/carekitsune & the badly edited header was me lmfao. As for what manga it's from, no idea sadly :' )
GOJO SATORU:
Gojo Satoru wakes you up. // female reader. 18+. smut. main tw: somnophilia, dubcon.

I can't believe this. Even after 15 years now (Law first debuted around 2008-2009 in the manga) and probably almost a decade of Law and Zoro's longest interaction, there's no Firefighters x Medic AU starring Luffy, Law, and Zoro as the main pairing on AO3? Literally 0 fic in there? What is this. Why are there more fic with policeman!Zoro out there when you know being a firefighter is a much more noble freeing thing to do and something someone like Roronoa Zoro would rather be in a much more normal world. It's outrageous.
Not to mention the potentials that Firefighters x Medic AU has? The sheer hilarity that can cancel any form of angst it might produce just from imagining this tall, stressed and sleep-deprived paramedic/doctor, having to deal with these two unstoppable forces having concussion. The ridiculous conversation in the ER between the dazed Zoro who's just trying to save Luffy who's just trying to extract 10 or so people from burning building, all must be handled professionally by the Mr. Professional from North Blue itself, Trafalgar Law? The discordant flirting dynamics because this super tall doctor must be new around here, how could he be so dense when the two injured guys were just trying to get to know him better? But then again, Zoro is Zoro and Luffy is Luffy. Everyone Lives but honestly at what cost? Surely more new found families to be added for each of them.
Edit: Ended up writing it myself.

My memory is terrible so I wanted to do a breakdown of my stuff every once in a while. Might be monthly, might be whenever I feel like it. And also. Spoilers and opinions below, read at your own risk.
QL - Currently Watching
🇯🇵I Hear the Sunspot [1/12] - I'm so grateful that I get a new jbl just as I'm mourning the end of the last one. I didn't read this manga but I've watched the film, and I really liked it even if it felt unfinished. Hopefully with 12 episodes it means we get the full story. This was a very good first episode, I feel like we established the main relationships dynamics and got a good insight into the main characters core. Taichi is my new child.
🇹🇭 Knock Knock, Boys! [6/12] - I continue to enjoy this group. Jane turned out to be a great addition instead of what I feared, but Peak really needs to step up so I can keep rooting for him and Thanwa, cause I'm also not a huge fan of the ex coming back as an obstacle for the couple. Latte and Almond are really great together and I'm curious how Almond will deal with his feelings for Latte, when he actually realizes he's having them.
🇹🇭Love Sea [4/12] - Before anything else, I love the ocean and I love when shows get out of the city. Also I like Mut. Now. I'm not a Mame hater. I'm a 'trauma is the only way to write deep characters' hater. I'm also a 'trauma gives you an excuse to be an asshole' hater. But most of all, I'm very much a 'love will fix you' hater. So just don't give me 3 out of 3 and it's fine. Also this last episode, all the talk about money and contracts made me feel some kind of way, although it doesn't seem to bother Mut so... And as much I like having Aya on my screen, Mook is really testing that line between cute and incredibly annoying. I'm not sure how long I'm staying with this one.
🇹🇭My Love Mix-Up! [4/12] - So... this is not good. The technical aspects of this are actually bad. Considering the number of sponsors is actually kinda incredible that it's so badly put together. The sound, the lighting, the editing, overall just... not good. Now, the rest. Look I don't want to ruin anybody's fun, so I'll keep watching this one quietly, unless something outrageous happens. But for the record, and this is all I'm gonna say, they are ruining the best parts of these characters and this story, and even if I ignore that (which I can't because it's an adaptation), it's pandering and it's a lazy attempt at recapturing the magic of msp, with a worse script and recycled material. Also I cannot believe they didn't put Atom in a trashing bag.
🇹🇭 My Stand-In [1/12] - For a number of reasons I'm waiting to binge this one. I do love watching the gifs on my dash though, pretty is pretty.
🇯🇵Ossan no Pants ga Nandatte Ii Janai ka! [9/11] - It's so good. I love them all. This last episode I was close to tears in several parts but the street proposal ended me. It's definitely one of those shows that I'm grateful that I get to watch even if I can't always find the words to talk about it. These characters have my whole heart. [everyone should be watching this and the wonderful @isaksbestpillow has made that possible with her subs. Here is the post with the latest episode. ]
🇹🇭SunsetxVibes [3/12] - It's ridiculous, it's fun, it's cute. Sun is such a simp. Man basically proposed before they were even dating. And yeah the way it started was not amazing, with the lying, but these two actually communicate about their expectations and what they're feeling which is better than a lot of shows right now. And I adore the sides.
🇹🇭The Rebound [2/12] - Everyone is gay and naked. And they play a sport of some kind.
🇹🇭The Trainee [1/12] - OffGun are back! I really liked the set up for this. It's only the first episode but I really like how they are walking the line between the comedy and the seriousness of the workplace. I love a good friend group so I'm looking forward to seeing how the relationships between all the interns grow. Poon is once again playing the silly brainless child of the pack but I don't care, I adore that kid for some reason. And next week we already got Gun crying so what's not to like?
🇹🇭 Wandee Goodday [10/12] - I already talked about my feelings regarding the last episode. I'm here for Oyei/Cher and Plakao. I love Inn and Great, they deliver with the chemistry but the DeeYak storyline is just a mess for me right now. I am also not looking forward to the inevitable redemption of the terrible parental figure.
🇹🇭 We Are [13/16] - The friendships are still great and mainly why I'm watching. I have a really good time watching those scenes. Only 3 episodes left and ChainPun continue to be the tinniest of crumbs. I don't expect much from this couple at this point and I'm a bit disappointed. FangTan are so cute and such good communicators. They are my favourites. QToey are cute. Now, Phum and Peem. Look PondPhuwin are really good at looking at each other like they're the only person in the universe. However. There's only so many times I can enjoy them staring at each other in slow mo. Once per episode oughta be enough I think. Hopefully now that they're actual boyfriends it gets a little less annoying.
QL - Finished
🇯🇵25 Ji, Akasaka de - What an incredible journey. I have to say it has been a while since a show surprised me this much, for the positive. For most of it I wasn't sure where it was gonna go or how it would end or who would be doing the running. The way they played with the show within a show was so well done. I loved the change in pov, which I always love in jbls, but it not only gave us the opportunity to see how Hayama's crush started but also we were allowed to see behind the mask that Hayama had been keeping up. Speaking of. I love him, one of my favourite characters of the year. And Komagine Kiita did an incredible job. I can't wait to watch him again when Tengu returns. If I had to say, the one thing I wish I had was more of Shirasaki's backstory. I wanted to understand better why his self-esteem got that bad. But that ending was great and honestly, I earned it.
🇵🇭Marahuyo Project - Well that was excellent. This show is beautiful. I want to hug them all and walk next to them. I really don't have the words for it right now so just go watch it. Because these characters are incredible and the visuals are stunning. All episodes here.
🇹🇭 Only Boo! - This is getting tiresome. Here it goes. Why? It was so great. They were the cutest shit and I had a smile on my face the entire episode. Even with the singing. It was wholesome and the mains delightful. And then... Heartbreak, time skip, no consequences, unearned happy ending. I mean Moo is a great character still, and Kang is the best boy, but I'm tired.
Rose Watches OJBL
Mood Indigo (2019) - I liked this one slightly better than the first. I think the visuals are stronger and there are some incredible shots throughout. The sex scenes are some of the best shot that I've ever seen. I love Kijima so even though I'm not always on board with prequels, it was great that we got more insight into him. Obviously we know this relationship was doomed from the start, and Kido has a lot to do with how we find Kijima in the beginning of The Novelist, but I can't help but feel for Kido. He is a mess that is struggling between the expectations that are on him (put there by others but also himself) and the affection and desire he feels for Kijima. And even without watching The Novelist there is always an air that this will not end well. For lack of a better phrase, it just wasn't meant to be. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of this series.
Dangerous Drugs of Sex (2020) - One of my first thoughts when I was watching this was 'we are using the word unhinged too freely'. Cause Ryoji has little competition on that score. This is not an easy watch. I really liked the way it was shot even if at times that meant my view was too narrow so I couldn't look anywhere else but the 'uglier' parts. In completely different ways they were both stuck in an uncomfortable (yeah that's not really the best word but I can't think of another) place and I could feel that throughout. I'm not sure about the ending but they look happy, so what do I know?
Other - Watched
There's a lot airing so I didn't watch much outside ql. I finished Under the Skin and rewatched a couple of things. My watchlist got longer and I have a bunch of shows that I'll hopefully tackle during my summer holiday in July. Speaking of...
There is a lot coming next month, so here is a post with all the shows that have been announced for July that I updated to include Meet You at the Blossom that was recently announced. New jbl starts tomorrow!!!!
As usual my ask box is open for questions or requests. Have a wonderful week💜

Guide to Persona MC names
Just a small guide to help newcomers understand all the names and nicknames/fannames for their fav Persona MCs. Keep in mind this is main games/nameless MC's only (so I won't list Aigis in the P3 but I will mention Maya as well as the notes at the bottom, this is due to how I structured P2 vs P3 sections) (Edit: may add to this list later but it's pretty complete for now)(Edit 2: Note that Shunjiko translates as Protagonist/Hero/Main character):
Persona 1:
P1MC: shorthand for Persona 1 Main Character
(P1) Hero/Shunjiko: Japanese generic title
Boy with Earring: In-game moniker
Naoya Toudou: Manga name
Yuuya Narumi: (one of the) DramaCD names (note: other dramaCD is just labeled "protagonist")
Jihei Suzakuin: Novel name
Persona 2:
Tatsuya Suou: MC for P2 Innocent Sin, can be renamed and it'll carry over in EP (and Katsuya's last name will change as well)
Maya Amano: MC for P2 Eternal Punishment. Cannot be changed, just like Aigis
Kazumi Kiba: MC for the manga Persona: Tsumi to Batsu. (not really related to the games but it takes place right before P2EP, Edit: mentioned him because I've seen some people think he's suppose to be an adaptation of Tatsuya or something when he's just a different character all together)
Persona 3 (Male):
P3MC: Short hand for Persona 3 Main Character
(P3) Hero/Shunjiko: Japanese generic title
Kitaro: The Japanese Fanname, due to his resemblance to the main character Kitaro from Gegege no Kitaro.
Minato Arisato: Manga name
Makoto Yuki: Movie name (*gets adopted later into games)
Sakuya Shiomi: Stage Play Name
Leader: Generic Name for MC in Drama CDs and such
Roger: A name used in AtlusUSA marketing (maybe related to this line in the game?)
Door-kun: (English) Western fandom joke nickname, spoiler reasons.
Gettaro/Tsukitaro* Yamada: provisional name for P3MC in the movies' script. A play on Kitaro. (thanks @aliliceswonderland for reminding me, as well as the other's! TToTT)
Persona 3 (Female):
P3FeMC or just FeMC (sometimes/old variations FeShe or MShee): Shorthand for (Persona 3) Female Main Character. Since SMT if/Tamaki, Maya, and Aigis have fixed names (in Persona canon), this one is usually who people mean when they hear "FeMC." Though some might use this word as a "what if" for P4/5/6 having a female protagonist. But it's usually for the P3 one.
Leader: Generic Name for FeMC in DramaCDs and such
(P3) Heroine/Josei Shunjiko : Japanese generic title
Hamuko (Arisato): The Japanese fanname, IF Arisato is used, it's derived from the P3MC's manga name.
Minako Arisato: The Western Fanname, derived from Minato Arisato but making it "ko" since a lot of females use that name (note: Minato is actually a unisex name to begin with)
Makoto Yuki: P3MC's movie name. SOME adopted this name after the movie was release due to being a unisex name)
Kotone Shiomi: Stage Play Name (*only official name she's gotten, and unlike P3/4/5MCs whose names were taken from anime adaptions, she's the only one to have her's taken from the stage play).
Door-Chan: (English) Western fandom joke nickname, spoiler reasons.
Canon-chan/Non-canon-chan: (English) Western fandom joke nickname, usually in regards to her canon status. (answer: she is canon)
Lunako Gekko: Name used for Famitsu article
Persona 4:
P4MC: Short hand for Persona 4 Main Character
(P4) Hero/Shunjiko: Japanese generic title
Leader: Generic Name for MC in Drama CDs and such
Bancho(u): Japanese Fan Nickname (he's also called this in Arena's files, short hand for his Arena fighter title)
Souji Seta/Soji Seta: Manga Name
Yu Narukami: Anime Name (*was later used for games)
Various Stage Names: Unlike the P3MCs who have a fixed stage play name, P4's gimmick was to change the name each showing. The ones used in the DVDs are: "Yuuya Seta" for the first one, "Hayato Asakawa" for the second. (complete list, at least for the 2nd stage play coming soon)
Charlie "Chuck" Tunoku: Giant Bomb Endurance run of P4 (I think this is the more famous one)
Kenpachi Ramasama/Ramasama Kenpachi: Two Best friends play P4
Chad: (English) Western fandom joke nickname, something something blame the anime (originated around it's run) esp the scene with the King's game. He got all the chicks or something.
Persona 5:
P5MC: Short hand for Persona 5 Main Character
(P5) Hero/Shunjiko: Japanese generic title
Joker: His in-game code name
Akira Kurusu: Manga name
Ren Amamiya: Anime Name (*was later used for games)
Various Stage Names: Like P4, they adopted the gimmick of doing different names each showing. The ones used on the DVDS are: "Itsuki Onda" for the first one, "Naoki Toudou" for the second one, "Nozomu Akase" for the third one, and "Kaito Shinno" for the forth/last one. (complete list here)
Chair-kun: In reference to the original teaser for P5 (there were a lot of chairs)
Pego: Fan nickname for P5MC, usually english fandom from what I've seen. Stands for Pe(rsona) and Go (aka 5 in japanese). It's a very common one and I...literally forgot TT0TT
Akiren: Alternative fan nickname for P5MC, for fans that like both Akira and Ren's names but don't want to choose I suppose.
Persona 5 X:
P5XMC: Short hand for Persona 5X Main Character
(P5X) Hero/Shunjiko: Japanese generic title
Wonder: His In-game code name
Fun facts/other notes:
FeMC is the only one who breaks the streak of using anime names (due to not having an anime adaptations), it also causes P3 to cross between two different kinds of supplementary canon. (see more on this reblog)
Not all of P4's various stage names are known, namely (haha) the first stage play. If you dig you can find all of the 2nd ones (I should really post that list one day DX)
Despite P1MC not having a consistent chosen name, Atlus seems fond of Naoya, specifically using Naoya/Kazuya together (Devil Survivor 1 manga and P5 Mementos Quest mission) with characters. If you read the P1 manga you'd understand why they put those two names together.
Kitaro and Hamuko were used as place holder text for the P3MC and FeMC chars names for PQ2.
Banchou was used for P4MC's mocking title card in Arena/Ultimax, it was translated as "Kingpin" in english.
Some other chars I didn't listed as having "Leader" could very well be called "Leader" at some point.
Shin Kanzato is the MC to the anime Persona: Trinity Soul, a series that takes place 10 years after P3. It's in it's own separate canon from the P3 we know, Edit: but I'm mentioning him because of it being the original sequel of P3 for a brief period.
Aigis' name obvie can't be changed just like Maya, but she is the MC of both The Answer, as well as the Aigis: The First Mission cellphone game. (sometimes fans refer to her as a "toaster"...bc she's a robot)
Edit: Anna is the MC of P2's novel adaptations iirc, and Naoto and Yosuke are protagonists of their own books/novels/manga. There are most likely others but I will probs end it there (as I just wanna stick with games/original MCs and having Aigis/Kiba/Shin was a bit dicey)
Similar to Pego, P3MC may also be referred to as Pesan, and P4MC as Peyon. I haven't personally seen it (considering the other more prominent names they've had) but I wanted to list it just in case.
To update: Since I mentioned Roger, it's only fair I dig for all the other ones used for other characters (it's just Roger is the most popular, and it's not used often even at that).
#persona 1#persona 2#persona 3#persona 4#persona 5#i haven't seen kenpachi nor charlie in a LOOOONG time#i did not watch either of those but i remember seeing them#that and chair kun will date how old of a fan you are lkajfdklsjakfdlja;

hi! i got into bsd and i was meaning to ask, since you seem an authority on the matter, could you recommend me some more bsd blogs to follow?
ps. love your art so much, you capture the characters personalities so well!
oh... that's a lot of pressure... I'm aware that I have weight on this side of the fandom (feels wild btw) but authority is too big a word
I mainly interact with art and the occasional analysis and joke posts, so most of the blogs I can recommend are that, plus I am very Chuuya/Dazai/skk biased
First, browse and follow the bsd fanart tag to get just that. Not everyone uses it (I encourage them to!!), but if like me you are so very done with the negativity fest that have become the main tags since the anime started airing again, that's a great place to find fun things!
Second, I am sending you on a discovery journey. I encourage you to look through people's blogs and tags for some great finds. Here are some blogs in random order for you to start with, because there is no way I can remember all the blogs I love:
@caelanglang (art), @luneariann (art), @sensitiveheartless (art + writing), @arikitoka (art), @itotypes (writing + art), @iwritenarrativesandstuff (analysis + writing + art), @frenchonionsoop (art), @petitesmafia (funny), @yomeiu (art), @esmiara (art), @weeniehutart (art), @videogamelover99 (analysis + art), @carrotkicks (art), @damianito (art), @smolskk (art), @kokoasci (art), @chupidopi (art), @mochimochips (art), @creantzy (art), @justplaggin (news and official stuff),
have some reblog blogs that will probably catch some of the cool people I can't remember right now AND give you some forgotten older stuff if you scroll far enough: @demonprodigy-kingofsheep, @im-always-a-slut-for-soukoku, @for-chuuya, @awkwardbsd, a bunch of the people above too, and a shameless self-plug @originalaccountname where it's mostly reblogs and the occasional analysis post.
EDITED: popopretty makes monthly chapter recaps and other kinds of translations (you might recognize them from twitter, or not), @reneray has Fifteen manga adaptation translations, and @nineofscans has monthly chapter translations and some bonuses!
I could never remember everyone and if your tastes diverge from mine there are also a bunch of really cool people who "specialize" in different characters and dynamics you will stumble upon out there.
you are all allowed to shamelessly plug yourselves or your faves in the replies/reblogs btw
#happy browsing!! i hope you find some cool people and fandom stuff to your tastes!!#and hello all of you! i hope you're having a good weekend :)#ask answered#not art#about the main tags issue:#nothing makes me more angry than bad faith criticism#especially in animation. if i see one more ''lazy animation'' accusation i am going to eat someone's kneecaps.#also i don't have time for all that complaining. i like to have fun you see.

I hope that this isn’t too silly, nor something that was asked before, but I am curious if there could’ve been any information – either from the game or supplemental materials – that I could’ve missed, do not know about, and/or have simply forgotten about involving the likelihood of human students being placed in Savannaclaw? Prior to the reveal of Rook originally being in Savannaclaw, I did not actually consider or think about human students getting sorted into that dorm. Thinking about it now, I suppose if human students possess the qualities of a Savannaclaw, it should not be impossible, but outside of Leona, Ruggie, and Jack, a lot of the background Savannaclaw students appear to be beastman—at least as far as I have noticed. I think that is the main reason I never thought about humans being in Savannaclaw until Rook being in that dorm originally planted the seed. I am not going to lie, I was starting to consider Rook not being human for fun, his abnormally good eyesight kind of contributing to the cause, ha ha! Thank you so much!
Hello hello!! Thank you for this question! ^^
Theories about Rook aside (👀) there is precedence for non-beast-people students being in Savanaclaw in both the manga and the novel, but what about the game?
The most we might have to go on at the moment is a single line from Deuce back in Book 1: when Grim declares that Chenya must be a Savanaclaw student because of his animal ears Deuce explains, "other dorms have students with animal ears, too."
This tells us that not all beast-people are regulated to Savanaclaw by default, and it seems possible that the same applies in reverse--we just haven't seen any yet, just like how we have not seen any beast-people in other dorms, despite being told they're there!
edit: Thank you so much to @viczen33 for pointing out that there was once a reference to a cat-beast-person member of Heartslabyul! ^^
Rook is, of course, all the proof we need if we are assuming he is human, and he has yet to be proven otherwise as of this post ^^
And maybe there might be a non-animal-eared Savanaclaw sprite one day, or an animal-eared sprite in a non-Savanclaw-uniform! (In the game guide Yana says that Cater was originally a beast-person.)
It is fun to look forward to :>

Kabru in my style >:3 (I think I made his head too small oops)
after how unhinged and feral I've been the past few days, drawing him was actually very calming. Idk if it's his curls or his cvnty eyeliner but I might keep making fanart of him honestly. Also I kinda changed his eyes but just a lil bit :'3.
I feel like he wouldn't be the same without those blue orbs dgdfgf but also stop staring at me like that you're making me nervous TvT
honestly I didn't really get the hype at first but he's starting to grow on me.
I think the main reason I was kind of so so about him at first is cause I feel like if I told people who I wanted to cosplay beforehand they might be like "but you look just like Kabru. you should do him instead" but now I actually do want to do a Kabru cosplay.
Because he's pretty
the way he stares at people gets me every time
I'm so curious about his personality I have to know more about him now. It's something about the way his mind works, I need to study him.
he may or may not be one of my favorites but I can't say for sure because I haven't read the manga
(so no spoilers or I'll be very upset >:[ )
edit: ngl I do still have some issues with him and like how he treats people but again I haven't read the manga so I don't know what his deal is. I don't think he's a good person but he's a very interesting character for sure. if he hurts Laios though I will throw hands with him.
#kabru dungeon meshi#digital art#delicious in dungeon#dungeon meshi#fanart#blue eyed stare#why are you looking at me like that#his eyeliner is on fleek though

Multi-Bitch
Chuuya Nakahara x reader
A/N my longest fic yet, I just couldn't stop writing. I love him so muuuuch. Fun fact, I only started the show because I saw a random edit of him and dazai and decided I needed a piece of that. also just got caught up on the manga and boy oh boy such a good story!!!
please give me recommendations for books to use as abilities or just abilities in general for bsd content
Main Masterlist BSD Masterlist Requests AO3
(3.7k words)
“You have got to be kidding me,” you groaned. “Out of all the Port Mafia members that you could have paired me with, why did it have to be him?”
Ranpo was sitting in front of you, happily enjoying his bag of chips. You were tempted to grab the bag from his hands but you were too nice of a person to do it.
“Because, you guys would be a good combative match,” he informed you, mouth full of food. “I already know where you two need to go and what to look for. The mission shouldn’t take long, even for idiots like you guys.”
You would have strangled Ranpo’s scrawny neck if Kunikida hadn’t stepped in. “Look, I know you don’t like working with the Port Mafia, much less him, but it needs to be done.”
Kunikida’s right. There was someone out there killing people without leaving any trace of being there.
“And we’re sure that this is an ability user and not something that the police can handle?” you asked. For all you know, it could just be a very thorough criminal. You were going to try anything to not do this mission, not that it will work.
“Am I ever wrong? Nope, so best run along,” Ranpo waved at you with a giggle.
You sighed before grabbing your stuff at your desk. You made your way to the cafe downstairs, waiting for your partner to arrive.
“Well, if it isn’t Multi-Bitch. Didn’t know you would be my partner for this,” the one and only Chuuya Nakahara voiced behind you.
“Keep calling me that and I’ll spill my coffee on you, it’s still hot,” you replied, refusing to turn around and acknowledge him.
Chuuya took a seat next to you, “Do you know where we are supposed to go? I want to get this over with so I can get away from you faster.”
Being as professional as you could, you handed him a piece of paper with the address on it. “The ability user should be in this inn. We need to stake it out, and figure out which guest is the next target, then prevent anything from happening.”
“I don’t understand,” he replied.
“Of course you don’t. I wouldn’t expect someone as hot-headed as you to understand strategy,” you easily retorted back.
Fuming, getting close to your face, “I understand strategy, just not this one. How are we supposed to figure out who the next victim is?”
Pushing his face away from you with your finger, you coolly answer him, “Oh, I don’t know. Maybe we’ll find out the next victim when we watch a suspicious person trying to break into another person’s room. God, you are so incredibly dense.”
“You know, one day you’re going to get what’s coming for you. I would love to beat you in a fight,” Chuuya replied, red in the face with anger.
“Can’t wait,” you shrugged, getting up from your seat. “As exhilarating a fight with you might be, I think we both know which of us would end up the victor.”
“We can test that out right now,” Chuuya replied, grabbing your arm and pulling you into him.
You didn’t have a reply as you stared up at him. The hand on your arm felt like it was burning and there was some unknown feeling buzzing between the two of you. You opened your mouth to offer a mean retort but nothing came out.
“Let go of me, asshat,” you replied, instead. Seething, you ripped your arm from his grasp and made your way outside the cafe to get this mission started.
You didn’t dare look back to the man behind you, but you heard as he sighed and followed you out the doors.
Chuuya hopped onto his motorcycle. You tried to not focus on the way his hands gripped the handlebars and the way his thighs looked, straddling the machine. You hopped on too and wiped your hands on your pants, a nervous habit.
“Grab on to me tight, princess. Wouldn’t want you to fall off,” he paused, turning his face to look at you. “Actually, in that case, nevermind.”
“Oh, fuck off,” you barked, wrapping your hands around his waist. You could feel his stomach clench as he laughed at you.
The entire ride to the inn, you thought about the man in front of you. Sure, he pissed you off to no end, but that didn’t mean you were blind. He was certainly attractive, especially with the confidence he carried himself with. If you were to see him on the street, without knowing him, you would have thought he was your type.
That didn’t seem to matter though because he seemed to make it his life mission to piss you off. He antagonized you more than Dazai antagonized him, which was saying a lot. You two have never had any combat fights thankfully, ‘cause his ability could definitely overpower yours if he wanted to.
“We’re here,” he announced, parking his motorcycle. You let go of his waist and stretched your legs.
Chuuya stood, leaning against his bike, “How long do we have to wait?”
“I don’t think too long. All of the murders happen around this time so if we go by that information, they’ll be here within an hour,” you replied.
The both of you sat in tense silence, as you watched the inn for anything suspicious. Finally, you broke the silence, “Lemme ask you something.”
“Go ahead,” Chuuya waved his hand at you, clearly bored.
“Why are you so hostile to me? It can’t possibly be just ‘cause I’m in the agency,” you asked. You always wondered why the two of you had the kind of relationship you had. Most of the mafia and agency were pretty much indifferent to each other. The only serious discourse was between Atsushi and Akutagawa as well as Chuuya and Dazai. Then there's you and Chuuya, which doesn’t really feel like hate but it certainly does not feel warm and fuzzy.
“You’re so easy to bother, it’s funny to me,” he paused, as if he wanted to continue but chose not to elaborate.
“You hate me, just because it’s easy to,” you seethed, stepping up to him.
“Woah, woah. I never said I hated you, I just like to piss you off. You’re the one that hates me,” he defended himself, pointing a finger at you.
“I never said I hated you either,” you replied back. You grabbed his finger from in front of you, twisting it back until he yelled.
“You fucking Multi-Bitch. What the hell is wrong with you? How are you going to say you don’t hate me and then hurt me right after?” Chuuya seethed, holding his finger in front of his chest.
“Maybe because I just like to piss you off,” you mocked his earlier statement. “And quit calling me that.”
He got incredibly close to your face again. So close, you could feel his breath on your face. That unspoken tension buzzed between you again. You leaned forward, thinking about indulging in a fantasy you tried to bury deep within yourself. Chuuya seemed to stop breathing as you both stood there, sharing your breaths. Before either of you could do something unspeakable, Chuuya glanced behind you.
“Shit, look,” he grabbed you, pulling you behind a nearby car in the parking lot.
Facing away from him, red dusting your cheeks, you saw what he was talking about. A person walked to each window, looking through until they reached a room with occupants in it. Without touching the door, they opened it and walked inside.
As soon as you heard screaming, the two of you burst into action making your way to the room. You tried the door knob but it was locked.
“Chuuya,” you notified, before stepping back and pointing at the doorknob. He kicked the door down, startling the intruder.
Entering the room, you saw a woman and a small boy, presumably the people staying in this room, cowering in the corner of the room. Then you took in the man who was wearing a mask covering the bottom half of his face. This man, stood between you and the victims, arm outstretched towards a dagger floating in the air in front of him.
He turned to face you, pulling his face mask down. A crazed smile plastered on his face, “What do we have here?”
His voice sent shivers of disgust through you but you’ve dealt with worse so you steeled yourself.
Chuuya, without hesitation, replied, “Two people who are going to kick your ass.”
You sighed, annoyed, “Dude, there’s literally a child right there.”
He shrugged, as if to say oh well.
“Do you want to know why I was able to kill so many people without a trace of evidence?” the man asked, stepping away from the family and closer to you.
“Not really, but I bet you’ll tell us anyway,” you rolled your eyes, looking like the definition of nonchalant. In the corner of your eye, you saw Chuuya smirk at your attitude.
The man stepped closer to you. As uncomfortable as his proximity made you, each step further away from the victims was a small victory for you.
“Using my ability, I don’t have to touch anything. No fingerprints on the door, nor the blade I use. You would be surprised how easy it is to evade getting caught by only simply not leaving fingerprints,” the man rambled.
You and Chuuya shared a look. A telekinetic ability user shouldn’t be too hard for the two of you but you need to get the victims out of harm's way as soon as possible.
“You know, most people would use their telekinesis to get the tv remote when they're lying down. I guess most people aren’t psychotic like you,” you smirked.
Before the man could reply, Chuuya ran at the man, aiming a kick to his stomach. Knowing that Chuuya can handle a decent fight, you used his distraction to get to the woman and boy.
“Don’t worry, I’ll get you out of here,” you whispered. You wiped a tear from the boy’s face and gave him a soft, comforting smile. You grabbed his hand and gave the woman a smile too. Once the woman and child were outside and safe, you made your way back into the motel room.
The man had straddled Chuuya and had his dagger dangerously close to Chuuya’s neck. Coming up behind the man, you wrapped your legs around him before flipping him over behind you. While he was disoriented, you grabbed Chuuya’s hand, helping him up.
“I had that,” Chuuya complained, dusting scuff marks off his pants.
“Sure you did,” you rolled your eyes, sticking your tongue out at him.
Before Chuuya could retort, the man got up. Both you and Chuuya got ready for more fighting.
“You thinking what I’m thinking?” you questioned, holding your hand out.
“I think so, princess,” Chuuya replied, grabbing your hand tightly in his.
You let your ability loose, watching as multiple exact copies of yourself and Chuuya materialized around the room. Chuuya had you and your copies lightly hovering over the man, towering over him.
“Over here,” you giggled, your voice echoing from all directions of the room from each copy of you.
You watched the man look around his surroundings wildly, not knowing which copy was the real one.
“I may not be able to hurt you because of your ability, boy,” the man seethed. “But I can certainly harm your lady friend.”
Before either of you could move, you watched as the man controlled his dagger, making it fly through the air into each of your copies, too fast to dodge. One by one, each of your copies dematerialized as they were hit with his flying dagger, until eventually you felt a sharp pain right below your stomach.
Letting go of Chuuya’s hand to hold your stomach, you fell to the ground.
“Stupid bitch, you really thought you could beat me. I must take your lives in place of the two you guys saved,” the man chuckled.
You looked down at your hands on your stomach, gagging at the amount of blood covering them. Not able to think straight, you weren’t entirely too sure what happened but you could see a blur of a fight until Chuuya was straddling the man.
You couldn’t move, and it was then when you realized why there was no sign of struggle in any of the victims. There was a paralytic chemical laced on the blade. You coughed up blood, alerting Chuuya.
“Shit, it’s gonna be fine, princess,” Chuuya panicked. He crawled towards you, reaching for your stomach. You grabbed his hand the best you could in your state.
“Chu-” you coughed again, eyes becoming glassy. “Don’t touch it. There’s something on it that paralyzes his victims.”
“Well what the hell do I do then? We need to stop the bleeding, I’ll call the agency. That doctor girl of yours should be able to help, right?” Chuuya rattled. His anxiety was palpable but you felt eerily calm.
“L-look how bad I’m bleeding. They won’t get here in time,” you coughed again. You could taste the blood in your mouth. “Didn’t know getting stabbed in the stomach could be so bad.”
Chuuya sent out a quick text before giving you a half hearted chuckle, “Still sassy as ever with your own blood covering your front.”
“It’s my best quality,” you lightly boasted. You felt light-headed, “I’m tired, Chuuya.”
You let your head rest against the wall behind you.
“Oh no, princess. Don’t close your eyes,” Chuuya quickly instructed. He pushed some hair away from your blood soaked mouth. Voice cracking, “Who am I supposed to argue with, if you’re not here.”
“There’s always Dazai,” you chuckled, earning an eye roll in response. “I-I never hated you, Chuuya. Actually, I quite enjoy our light-hearted banter. It makes me feel like a normal person, not some gifted powerhouse, capable of murder.”
You never heard his response as you slipped into unconsciousness.
“Well if it isn’t Port Mafia Exec. Chuuya Nakahara. . . again,” Dazai commented. He had walked up to your infirmary bed, only to find Chuuya in the uncomfortable chair beside your bed. He had bags under his eyes.
Yosono was able to fix you up, considering how close to death you were, but you still hadn’t woken up a few days later. Chuuya had refused to leave your bedside, surprising not only himself but those of the agency.
“Shut it, asshole,” Chuuya replied, not in the mood to deal with his former partner.
“Why are you still here?” Dazai questioned, getting into Chuuya’s face. “Hoping she dies and you can bring information to the boss.”
“I don’t know why I’m here. I just know that I’m not leaving till she’s awake,” Chuuya replied in a hostile voice. His own feelings were confusing him.
“Aw, do you like our dear y/n?” Dazai teased.
“Do you need something, asshole?” Chuuya hastily replied, dodging the question.
“You’re as transparent as always. I know you well enough to know how you feel,” Dazai bragged about his intelligence.
Lacking a response, Chuuya just rolled his eyes with a groan. Taking pity on the poor man, Dazai dropped a bag of food on your bed in front of Chuuya.
“There’s food for you and her. I know you haven’t eaten and neither has she. She’ll probably wake up today,” Dazai waved his hands at Chuuya.
Ignoring the fact that Dazai was nice enough to get him food, he questioned, “How the hell do you know that?”
“‘Cause, I know everything,” Dazai boasted.
“God, I hate you,” Chuuya seethed. Dazai simply left the room, laughing as he went.
You opened your eyes, quickly shutting them as you were blinded by the bright lights. You could recognize the clean smell of the agency infirmary, meaning you were in fact alive. You could feel an IV hooked up to your arm and a heavy weight in your hand.
You groaned, trying to stretch your muscles but feeling too tired to be able to.
“Well, rise and shine, princess,” you heard a familiar rasp. You opened your eyes fully to see a tired looking Chuuya. “I have food for us to eat.”
“What the hell happened?” you questioned. With a groan, you tried to sit up. Chuuya placed his hands on your back to help you up. You welcomed the warmth of his body so close to you.
“Well, after y-you were. . . hurt, I was able to get Dazai and your doctor. She was able to fix you immediately but you’ve been asleep for a few days. She said that even though she fixed your injuries, the stress on your body would make you in need of rest,” Chuuya explained. He opened up the food bag and handed you a burger. His hand was shaking and you weren’t sure why.
“A few days?” you questioned, taking a bite of your burger, moaning at the delicious taste.
Chuuya hummed an affirmative, taking a bite of his burger. Neither of you said anything as you both sat and ate. You were still hungry after your burger and fries so Chuuya gave you the rest of his burger.
You cleared your throat, “Have you been here the whole time?”
“Yup,” Chuuya replied, refusing to look you in the eye.
“Chuuya~” you sang, teasingly. “Did you want to make sure that your favorite detective was going to stay alive?”
“Well it’s not hard to be my favorite detective when the rest of your colleagues are asswipes, especially a certain suicidal maniac,” Chuuya grunted, not denying anything, arms crossed against his chest.
“I’m honored to be your favorite,” you giggled. “I think you’re my favorite psycho mafia member.”
You watched as crimson covered his cheeks and ears before he turned to face you again, pouting, “Hey, I am not a psycho.”
You hummed, dubiously, “To be debated.”
“Whatever. God, you’re so annoying,” Chuuya replied, not able to hide the smile that was beginning to form on his face.
“Seriously, I’m glad you’re awake,” he nervously informed you, making crimson cover your face this time. “Did you mean what you said, about not hating me?”
“I meant it all,” you replied, confidently. Tired of hiding your feelings from yourself, you were going to be transparent. You grabbed his free hand, holding in yours.
Chuuya stared at your joined hands, seemingly in thought. Eventually he spoke up, “I was really worried about you. Especially because you were talking like you were going to die, which I knew I didn’t want to happen.”
Taking the initiative, you pulled Chuuya’s hand bringing him closer to you.
Face still red, he smirked at your boldness. He closed the distance until your faces were inches apart.
“Earlier, when we were in this position, I wanted to kiss you,” Chuuya whispered. So you weren’t the only one who felt the tension. Good to know.
“What stopped you?” you whispered back.
“Your annoying face,” Chuuya smirked, before closing the distance further.
You shouldn’t have expected any less from Chuuya but he kissed you with passion. It was not a soft and gentle kiss. It was like making out with the devil.
The butterflies in your stomach released with a moan coming out of your mouth. Chuuya smirked, pulling away. He gave you a soft second kiss before backing all the way up.
“Wow,” you said with a sigh. Chuuya gave you a smile. You wiped the smile off his face by saying, “No wonder you were single. Your kissing skills could use some work.”
“God, what is wrong with you?” he groaned. It was your turn to smirk now, which was soon replaced with a smile when he questioned, “Were single?”
“Well, of course. Do you expect me to share my mafia executive?” you asked. Chuuya gave you an eye roll.
“Then if my kissing skills could use some work, can I practice on you, Multi-bitch?” he laughed.
You grabbed the collar of his shirt, bringing him closer to you, “Only if you stop calling me that.”
“Never,” he replied, before swooping in to kiss you again.
BONUS
You were sitting at your ADA desk, finishing paperwork that you were behind on since your injury. You were simply minding your business but when Dazai is around, that doesn’t seem to matter.
“Soooo. . .” Dazai scooted his chair closer to you. “How are you feeling, Juliett?”
“You talking to me? Who the hell is Juliette?” you questioned the maniac in front of you.
“You know, like Romeo and Juliett,” Dazai easily answered. He had a wide smile on his face, making him look more sadistic than over.
You rolled your eyes, “I’m not committing suicide with you. Leave me alone.”
He scoffed at your answer, “First of all, I only ask pretty woman to commit suicide with me. That’s not what I meant. I was talking about you and that waste of space of my ex-partner. If you’re Juliett and he’s Romeo, then that makes the agency the Capulets and the mafia the Montagues. But that doesn’t make sense because I imagine the agency to be blue and the mafia to be red.”
You flicked his forehead, stopping him from continuing his stupid thought. You groaned, exasperated, “Shut the hell up.”
“I’m just saying. I knew you guys would be a perfect match from the start. I am the one who suggested you two for that mission,” Dazai boasted.
“And how the hell would you know we would be a match,” you sighed. You understood Chuuya’s exasperation when it came to the suicidal maniac.
“Because. I just know everything,” Dazai claimed. You got up to smack him in the face. He held his cheek with a pout.
When you sat back down, you saw your phone screen light up with a text message.
Can’t wait to see you later, princess.
You smiled, replying with a that makes one of us :)

News
Hello,
I'm just here with some bad and good news. Also with info about our ongoing projects.
So to get the bad news over with. I bought the HanaOto magazine and while I knew there would be no Mujihi na Yoru ni chapter, on the website it said that there will be some sort of extra from Sakuraga Mei. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one page with some sort of message from the mangaka that I am not going to translate. Even worse, on the magazine's website it shows that the new edition of HanaOto also only has an extra and no Mujihi chapter. So I refuse to buy it just to be disappointed again. Unless someone else gets their hands on whatever that is, I won't even consider working on it. This all means, that the earliest we can have a new chapter is August, but only if the next one is featured in the magazine in July (the digital version becomes available a month after the hard copy release). This is also one of the main reasons why I don't work on ongoing manga, so please don't request anything like that.
On to the good news. With the magazine, I bought volume 3 of Chronos and started working on it. Volume 2 is mostly done, so I will start uploading those chapters soon. Look forward to it. I find this story interesting, so I'm able to work on the translation quite quickly.
And last, a little update. We are also working on the Tactics chapters. Volume 14 is translated and I'm halfway through volume 15 already. However, this manga is really difficult. I'm not sure why, but I find it hard to translate and it doesn't help that it's difficult to figure out from the bubbles who is talking. Since Japanese doesn't usually use "I" and "You" in sentences, it's not easy to figure out how exactly it should be translated. So I want to translate both volumes before going through them again to see if I messed up something. Also, since I'm really not confident about the accuracy of this translation, I might not make this available on manga reader sites, so only those who really want to read it can find it here and download. We'll see.
This is all for now.
I'll be back soon with the next Chronos chapter.
Have a nice weekend.

I was looking at the BSD wiki a while ago and I have to ask, is Dame Agatha C.{I probably spelled her name wrong so forgive me} also self aware? In this AU
If not do you ever plan on adding her once she is finally introduced because from what I can tell she's probably gonna be the next villain in BSD because of how she was introduced during the Dead apple movie
Yes, Agatha Christie is self-aware in this AU.
But, she will be added only after proper introduction.
Because, right now, I have very limited information about her and Order of the Clock Tower.
We knew almost nothing about her.
She had one small appearance in the main manga. And two small appearance in Dead Apple movie/Manga. And one small appearance in Dead Apple Light Novel. Also has two cards in Mayoi, both of them are illustrated moment from Dead Apple.
None of them are too important to Agatha and reveal too much about her. And, I do have a doubt, that Agatha is a shy, insecure woman.
"How Agatha realized, that Guiding Light are good." Unrealistic Edition
Agatha: In thirty minutes, we will burn Yokohama!
Y/N: I might never understand your reasons completely, but I respect your decision and see your point of view.
Agatha: sobbing Finally, someone, who understands me! Awwwww! They are so cute! I must protect our adorable uwu bean! Order of the Clock Tower will protect them! Hm? Letter from Yokohama? They also want to protect them? Pack your things, boys and girls, we are going to Yokohama!
/I am sorry about that part, I couldn't resist. I like Agatha and can't wait for her real introduction. Gave me a character with real power! and bring back Fyodor... Sorry, was thinking out loud/
I am pretty sure, that Agatha doesn't need validation for her actions. So, I really can't see that any comment during her official appearance will make her like Guiding Light.
So, when we learn more about her, I will add her.
It also includes future characters. When we get their proper introduction, I will add them.

My current top 15 Anime and why
Because why the fuck not. I'm doing top 15 so that I have some variety behind it. Otherwise I would just be gushing non stop XD
Apparently numbers go big now - AND THEY GO SMALLER IF YOU TRY TO TYPE IN THE SAME LINE AS THEM???
comparison:
15
15 -
DA HECK????
(Edit: I was going to colour all the numbers because I wanted a rainbow. WHY THE FUCK FOR THEY CHANGE TO SMALL WHEN YOU COLOUR THEM??????)
Guess the titles of the anime get a small heading. Anyways. Onto the actual list!
15
Technoroid OVERMIND
Ayo. Starting out with a really random one. So if anyone were to look at my Anilist then they might be a bit confused. I decided I'd keep movies out of here as well as anything I haven't specifically finished. Also takt op. Destiny needs a re evaluation.
Anyways. This premise is so sick and I feel like they managed it really well. The characters were all really fun and the music was fantastic which is honestly the most important thing about Idol shows. I really like idol shows but often struggle with the stupid drama in them that just leads to seasons upon seasons that didn't need to happen or wouldn't actually happen.
In this they're just androids. The fantasy twist works so well for the genre and I honestly don't know why it isn't done more often. This way they can bullshit the drama and it actually makes sense.
Honestly my favourite character was Kite. He was great and his voice always gave me shivers. Especially his piece in the closing. Damn.
I don't want to go into full reviews with this, rather just gushing about things I like and stuff. I really don't think this got the recognition it deserves - probably because of it's deviation from the norm - but it would be cool to get some sort of sequel.
(Edit: There's a manga releasing apparently. Imma check that out.)
14
UniteUp!
Continuing on with the trend of idol animes apparently. UniteUp! was so good. As I mentioned in my Reviews while I watch of the show, it felt so grounded and real that other idol shows just don't seem to capture. These were all real people with real problems dealing with real life.
I also like how we had such a large cast of characters but it never really felt overwhelming as they focused on group dynamics and specific individuals rather than trying to cram every single person into their own arcs.
Once again the music was fantastic and by god was this show pretty gay. Honestly I don't know what the sentiments of others are, but the Anela duo definitely weren't straight and neither were Akira and Daiki. That bath scene says it all.
Anyways. If you want a fun time with a really solid idol anime, please check it out. I saw earlier that we're getting a season two soon. I am so looking forward to it.
13
Trigun Stampede
Damn! I don't even know what to really say about this one. The visuals are absolutely stunning - there is no doubt about that. The score and the characters are excellent. And how dare they leave us on that cliff hanger.
I have absolutely no history with this story and still need to watch and read the originally but I am really looking forward to seeing how the story adapts between the three.
You can ask my partner. I've already said we're watching everything trigun related as soon as we are done with our current show.
I'm really looking forward to season two. And especially seeing how this all pans out. Apparently there will be tears according to the fandom. Concern.
12
Re-main
Damn this show came out of nowhere for me. I watched it quite awhile ago and have been meaning to rewatch it again.
The premise is definitely a sports anime but honestly so different. All because of one thing. The fact that he is an amnesiac is such a fascinating concept to work with - especially with how he was before (trying not to spoil - can't remember when this comes up in the anime)
And then the ending?? Damn. They seriously set up that cliff hanger and I really hope this show gets a sequel.
I really can't say too much about it without giving away some spoilers but damn does it change up the formula and do it so fucking well.
11
Given
Given is great. Such a pure but heartbreaking portrayal of love on one side with such conflicting but also nurturing views on the other. Having the different realtionships throughout this is really well done how they all bounce off of each other. Especially when they entertwine it with the music.
As it is said. That is how they communicate - through the music.
I'm busy catching up with the manga and really hope the anime continues with it.
Also the fucking is just fucking gorgeous. It has no write to hit you that hard.
Also - something else that shouldn't be allowed to hit you that hard. Damn Mafuyu has had a difficult past. We love how he learns to heal and grow with Uenoyama at his side.
Anyways, moving on.
10
Bakuten!!
Okay. Who said a sports anime could be this pretty.
I love the art style and the music throughout all of this. I love the portayal and the evolution of these character - seriously all their arcs are great. The interactions of the team is so tangible and real.
I watch a lot of sports anime and I often struggle with some of the drama used within the sports - it feels like the only thing that ever fuels the story is the matches. Whereas in Bakuten - the character seriously fuel the story. You can understand their motivations much more than just - I want to play this sport and be the best!
I also feel like they really captured everything really well in the movie. The whole concept of wanting to sore is great and really well executed.
I also love the interactions they have with the other team. It's not just a once off competition or practice match that they face each other. We actually get tangible characters for the whole team and see how much they two teams are similar to one another. It's a very healthy rivalry that isn't normally this expanded on in sports anime.
9
Sasaki and Miyano
Yesssssss. These two are just absolutely amazing. Their whole story arc and relationship is just tooth rottingly sweet. They bounce off of each other so well.
And I love the fact of how slow the actual story is. They meet at the start of Miyanos first year (from what I know - I still need to read the novels) and sasaki's second and they only end up confessing just before graduation happens. It really plays out well and is so healthy.
There is no problematic elements like in so many BL stories which is such a breath of fresh air. And the fact that sasaki is very specific about making sure to maintain boundaries to ensure that miyano is comfortable is also excellent.
On a slightly different note - I still need to see the Hirano and Kagiura movie. Been dying to watch it. I've been keeping up to date with both manga and both of these stories are amazing. I love the dichotomy of the two stories and how they are coming to their own realisations of their feelings in honestly very different ways.
I also recently watched the dub of the anime due to some videos on tiktok. Fucking hell it is absolutely hilarious. Kellen Goff as Sasaki has no reason for being that good. Seriously. Damn.
8
Link Click
On a completely different note. Damn this one makes you questions your own morals and reality as you know it.
I really don't want to get into this one much as I do believe watching it blind is the best way to go.
The art style is fantastic and that opening hits like a truck it is so good. The characters just click (pun not intended) and you just understand their motivations and don't know which side to side with most of the time. It brings about such high moral dilemmas that will seriously mess with your brain sometimes and there is one episode that will likely make you cry.
Anyways. Season 2 has just started airing and I am so ready for it.
7
Buddy Daddies
Why did a show about two queer platonic dudes who adopt a child while beings assassins hit so damn hard.
The show jumps between episodes with backstory and episodes with them just being good dads and it is balanced so well. This anime won't end up getting a sequel most likely with how it ended but damn I wouldn't say no to one.
Rei is my favourite character and I relate to him far too much. His interactions with the world are so fascinating and his whole arc with Miri is honestly some of the best media I've seen.
I absolutely loved watching this show weekly and it always brightened up my day when I realised a new episode would be up.
If you would like further thoughts on this one then check the Reviews while I watch on it for more chaos.
6
No Game No Life
So. This was the first ever anime that I ever watched. It was a random recomendation from a friend. Look at where we are today.
This show is honestly just so fun. The characters are silly and the whole plot is just absolute chaos. I really enjoy the games aspect and how it was all incorporated into the world.
I can't even really say much about it. It is just a guilty pleasure of mine and will always hold a special place in my heart.
Also. Please can it just get a second season already.
5
Assassination Classroom
So. Unlike everything else on the list - this one I only finished really recently. My partner and I were watching it together. And to put it out there straight away. I cried. That ending was far too emotional.
I really enjoyed the humour throughout the whole thing as well as the constant underlying dread of the whole situation.
They also really played out Koro-senseis backstory really well. The teasing to it was excellent. I must say though that one of the twists seriously came out of left field. Like damn.
I've just recently bought the boxset and am reading through the manga. Once again. It's absolutely amazing.
Also the openings of them all jumping are absolutely fucking hilarious and you can't tell me otherwise.
If you want to know what officially sold me on the show was just in the first episode. (Note we watched in dub)
Don't ask me why but I found this to be the most hilarious thing ever. The absurdity and the line delivery was magnificent. I annoy my partner by quoting it atleast once a day.
4
Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan
Speaking of comedies. This show has no right to be this good. The absudist dead pan comedy in the middle of whats meant to be a TV show is such a random premise but just works so well.
Due to the nature of the show, the characters are extremely relateable. I especially love Kumatani and Kikaku.
If your on the same side of anime tiktok that I am then you have definitely seen/heard snippets of the dub.
I think this was the first anime that I originally watched in sub and then tried it in dub and actually enjoyed it. (I often find that whatever I originally watched it in is the only one I can watch it in - it's very difficult for me to change it)
The voice acting on both sides just works perfectly for the show. And that final episode and how they did it was the best thing ever.
Please just give it a try.
3
Angel Beats
Okay. Time for a hard hitter. This comedy like assassintaion classroom is fucking excellent but will make you cry, like damn.
In complete and utter contrast to No game no life, this was the second anime I had ever watched. I had found a video that gave some suggestions and thought I would give this one a try. When I say it destoryed me, I mean it literally. I constantly think about the end of this and I absolutely love revisiting it.
The twist and turns along the way are fascinating and I love how each one alters the characters and the narrative. Each of the characters feel unique - even the lesser developed side characters - with fascinating and complex backstories.
The whole thing just makes you question your own place in life.
2
Moriarty the Patriot
Another one I just randomly tried because I saw a video on tiktok. The first episode immediately pulled me in. I thought it was just going to be some simple detective story (At the time I didn't know much about Sherlock Holmes and who Moriaty was so I didn't have any of that to guide me into this story.) But nope.
I keep saying this but in this one I really mean it. The characters are built so well. The dichotomy between William and Sherlock - as the fandom would probably agree - is just amazing. How they bounce off of each other - i don't even know how to really descirbe it.
Honestly just go watch it.
And if you enjoyed the anime - please go check out the manga too. If the anime was done well - then the manga is done to lamost perfection.
This show was what got me into reading and then eventually buying manga. I now have every single one that is out.
1
Yuri!!! on ICE
Did I make the title gay? Yes.
Okayyyyy. This is just going to be me going on about how much I love this show. Bare with me.
So I was in an anime watching slump just before I picked up this show. I had been seeing some videos popping up talking about it and decided to give it a try (this was in 2020)
I immediately fell in love with this show. Literally everything about it. I ended up rewatching it three times over the course of a week. It got to a point where I was so upset that there wasn't more content for it that I just cried for half a day. (Ask my partner - it was chaos)
This show is the reason I now read fanfiction - all because I found a way to technically have more content for it.
This show holds such an important place in my heart that I sincerely cannot express it properly.
If you've never watched it - go give it a try. It would mean a lot - and hopefully one day we might get a season two.
----
Thanks for reading, if you managed to get to this point. I find it interesting how my explanations managed to slowly get shorter throughout the list as I just started becoming more emotional than factual.
I hope you enjoyed it and maybe grabbed a recommendation or two. If you'd like to know more or hear me ramble on more about anything in particular then please let me know.
