Book Update:

Whewww, let me tell yall my toxic trait. 💀 I tend to get discouraged after 20k words. Idk what it is. Maybe it's my perfectionism, maybe it's my self doubt, but at that point I just know when something isn't working. And that's one of the pitfalls of writing without a plan tbh.

I try to outline stuff but I find that I'm always ignoring that outline in favor of "must follow shiny new idea". And I end up wanting to discard everything and start over because the new idea makes it 10x better and what I've written so far no longer serves the story.

But I keep doing that. And I don't want to anymore. I want to finish this book to prove that I can do it. That I do have what it takes.

So I worked hard this weekend coming up with a kick ass outline. I'm *so* excited about this and the direction I've chosen that I'm already trying to plan the cover art 😩 (someone please take Canva away from me. But not literally because I love that damn site)

I will likely take a mini break from fic this week while I *don't* discard everything I've written, but instead clean up what I've written before to match this new direction. Then I can move forward with getting this book out of my head and into the hands of my editor.

Toss a coin to ya blogger and leave encouraging messages. Chuz its hard to cheer for yourself when writing a book, I swear 😩😩😩😭

But! I'm excited and shall endeavor to finish. Because I need this book in my life like yesterday 😩😩😩😭

I can share what the title is. I cant wait for yall to read With These Words. The title will make more sense when you read the book 🤣

This has probably been pointed out already but I wanna throw this post into the void incase it hasn’t been said!

So all (or maybe most) agree that Lucifers angelic form was that of a duck, hence his liking for ducks and this scene of pretty duck!

And we see when Sera is floating down with Emily, she kinda looks like a bird too.

Compared to Lucifers duck form, Sera looks more so like a swan or some kind of divine or royal looking bird.

My end point here is that Lucifer being a duck can be resembling of “The Ugly Duckling”, in which it turns out the duckling is actually a swan chick but was cast aside before being able to show its “true beauty”. In a way that can be linked to Lucifer since he was cast out of heaven for dreaming and wanting to do more but he never got the chance to until he became fallen.

Or it could be a pun on Lucifer being “an odd duck” which is a common phrase for being out of place.

Anyways, just a thought I wanted to share (though i think someone else may have already done this but idk :0)

Hi, I have a question, is birds of a feather going to have ending or is it an abandoned project?

Sorry if the question is not very understandable, English is not my mother tongue

It isn't exactly abandoned. I'm just very slow with working on it because there's also the fics and arts for the witchcraft baby au, the miscellaneous Wenclair and Vega arts I draw, and the fact that I'm also an adult with a job and other hobbies. I only write and/or draw during my day offs too. I have too many ideas and hobbies yet I am only one person, so you'll have to bear with a lot of waiting.

There's also the fact that Birds of a Feather is a lot more solemn than what I usually write. I actually usually write that fic when I myself am pretty dang sad :')

No need to apologize about your English btw. You're doing great. Thank you for liking that fic. I didn't expect a lot of people to read it since Goody is essentially the main character
