-like Promises, Hydd is the main longfic for my personal Elden Ring au in which the other shorts are set -Hydd (hiːð) - m, noun, Immutable follows a Little Omen child who has been set loose on the Lands Between. He remains (largely) unharmed! -The adult tarnished, particularly Elden Lord Medb and Frenzied Flame Adan, are trying to put together a new age, the titular Age of Balance, by working alongside Marika and her children in the background

-The standard way to explain this au is: Guilliman and Yvraine have a daughter, which greatly impacts the Imperium's relationship with xenos, Guilliman’s relationship with his sons, and the Ultramarines’ relationships with everyone else. -the Real way to explain this au is: ‘If the Emperor Had a Text To Speech Device’ sort of plot starts occurring post-Plague Wars. Zeniel Corbin is an 11-year-old half-demon who was born in Victorian England and works in a 2016-era Baltimore. As all Middleverse Academy students, he's trained for and very used to participating in crossover events; in particular, Z is one of The Author's favorite because certain quirks of his birth and upbringing making him naturally adept at facilitating fix-its, even in the most dire of circumstances. He is my precious baby boy who is extremely polite and also eats people. Please Look Forward To Seeing Him.

Meet Nyx (Previously called Nyct’alia)

Several thousand years old, birthday unknown

Night Terror (Nyctophobia, the fear of the night)

Personality: 

Curious, clever, compassionate, gentle, oblivious to how the modern world works, giving, loving, stubborn when she wants to be, lonely, unused to any sort of physical touch, easily spooked

Powers and abilities: 

She can fly, float, and her hair appears to be made out of dense fog or smoke. On top of that, she can create darkness or bright beams of starlight and also her eyes, facial markings, hair and stars all glow in the dark. She also has a fantastical singing voice that’s really nice for lullabies but I dunno if that’s a power lol Likes: Space, the stars, darkness, fireflies, the smell of rain, lavender, handsome/beautiful strangers, new people places and things, gaining knowledge, dancing, singing, celebrations of any kind, storytelling, and cats

Dislikes: Being alone, cruelty, suffering of others, being startled or threatened, large bodies of water (being in water reminds her of her wormhole expirience and that shit was traumatic) Backstory: 

Nyct’alia was a very young night terror when she decided to leave the dream dimension (that’s what it’s called, right? Fuck, I dunno.) to explore the human world. And not even a minute after she left, she wound up in space and was sucked in by a worm hole and deposited lightyears away. 

She remained in a dormant, almost coma-like kind of state for thousands of years, until another worm hole picked her up and dropped her in the milky way. She crash landed on Earth, falling from the sky like a meteor and awoke in the middle of the human world, coincidentally in the middle of New Mexico. (It’s always fuckin’ New Mexico, I’ll tell you that.) Predictably, she started an urban legend about a beautiful alien escaping from area 51, but the feds covered that shit up fast and now it’s just a legend instead of a conspiracy theory.  She wandered around the human world for a bit, slowly waking up and accidentally scaring people every here and there before stumbling across Middleverse by chance.  When asked her name, she tells people it’s Nyx. (In Latin because homegirl doesn’t speak English, she’s from the B.Cs, honey, what’d you expect?) Her real name was Nyct’alia, but due to memory loss and over all discombobulation due to her time in space, she only remembers what she was referred to by the first human she met, an ancient roman young man who asked her if she was a goddess fallen from the sky. (And accidentally caused her whole dilemma by asking her if she could really touch the edge of the solar system. And of course ya girl had to prove to the cute human that she could.)

Overall she’s pretty sweet, and usually very gentle and soft, but there are times when misunderstandings occur and she unleashes a very war-like side of her out of sheer survival instinct. The most recent example of that being that she accidentally stole a hot dog in Middleverse, not knowing she had to pay because fuck, she’s a several thousand year old entity that’s been lost in space, you think she knows about money? Anyways, the vendor ran after her, demanding that she pay, and grabbed her arm, yanking her back. In a fight or flight reaction Nyx panicked, grabbed him by the neck, and evaporated the guy in a blast of pure starlight. Oops?

Anyways, I really love my starry girl, and I hope you all do too!
