'Cause that second wind is coming, love, it's coming for all we own

There is a bit of anger, that went into the brushstrokes of the background, there is a careful deliberation that went into the blooms of the halos, a bit of calculation that went into golden lines. Body, Mind and Soul finding a quiet harmony at the end of a storm bracing against the expectation for the next. it is, in a sense, a small nod-back to the last couple of years and a bigger nod to this year, full of change, not always easy but not even remotely as violent, as harsh as those before it were - trusting the peace is still hard for me. I still wait for the other shoe to drop. But rationally I know things are fine, and will be fine. It is a bit of a dance sometimes, back and forth. But all in all I am doing arlight. But anyway, a lot more emotions went into this one than it might appear from merely looking. Lot of anger went into the colouring with the copic markers but that was merely the absolute annoyance of realizing I have many types of watercolour paper but this one in particular hates copics and that made things a lot harder than they needed to be xd But it worked out so. Enjoy.

O meu pontapé artístico musical como artista solo aconteceu em 1993. Muito tempo atrás, com a demo tape ( fita K7) Midas Touch. Dia 05 passado ela fez 31 anos. Fico feliz pelo registro. Pela longevidade e ainda mais por continuar firme no propósito artístico, indubitavelmente mais maduro agora e consciente de como seguir em frente e ainda ter a mesma paixão de 31 anos atrás. Crypta: una fiesta de Death Metal en Espacio Midas

La banda brasilera de death metal desembarcó por primera vez en el país y desató la euforia de Espacio Midas

Entre arengas del público, sobre las 20.40 del pasado jueves 14 de diciembre, Cerebral Damage tomó el escenario para calentar la pista de Espacio Midas a la espera del primer show de Crypta en Uruguay.

Mientras el público iba llegando, los riffs pesados inundaron el lugar. La propuesta de los locales Cerebral Damage combinó letras en inglés, gran protagonismo de las instrumentales y un baterista que lleva el ritmo a potencia descomunal. El pogo, estimulado por el bajista, se sostuvo a lo largo del set y el inevitable bis.

Sólo el primer golpe de batería fue suficiente para hacer que los brazos se alzaran con el signo de metal. Entre gritos y cabezas agitándose, Crypta dio inicio a su show agradeciendo al público. "Buenas noches, Montevideo" dijo la voz de Fernanda Lira, replicada en los parlantes; dando paso al esperado set.

Los guturales están muy presentes en los temas de Crypta, y si bien el sonido del lugar no dejó apreciar al completo los matices de la voz, el recurso sobresalió por sobre el resto de la performance.

La presencia escénica del grupo es contundente e interactiva. Las Crypta hacen caras a sus fans en primera fila, se ríen y sacan la lengua.

"Es un gusto estar aquí", afirmaron. "Nos hacen sentir como si fuera nuestra casa".

La banda llegó a Montevideo en el marco de al presentación de su último disco, "Shades of Sorrow", lanzado el 4 de agosto de 2023.

"Gracias por ser el combustible para todo" expresó Fernanda, luego de interpretar el tema que abre el nuevo material.

Entre el clásico "olé, olé" del público, la cantante y bajista pidió permiso para tocar la última canción.

"¿Están listos, Montevideo?", preguntó; seguido de un último tema a puro agite.

Entre manos peleadoras que buscaban desesperadamente una pua de souvenir y selfies improvisadas con las músicas aún sobre el escenario; Crypta se despidió del público uruguayo prometiendo volver.

I've seen no one talking about the alchemy so here we go I took an entire graduate course on alchemical processes so I am prepared. alchemy is all about the transmutation of metals into gold and boy oh boy do we know someone who loves to reference gold in her work, usually - I thought - as color symbology. but lyrics such as "your midas touch on the chevy door" / "deep blue but you painted me golden" / "I once believed love would be burning red but it's golden" all suggest the transformation of something into gold. the purpose of completing an alchemical process is to find the life elixir or universal cure ("we thought a cure would come through in time, now I fear it won't" and "I'm getting tired for a phoenix always rising from the ashes" - alchemists LOVE phoenixes because of their transformation and healing abilities). traditionally, alchemy was thought to confirm the presence of God on earth, as if he was revealing his secrets to mortals (false god) and so I'm by far the most excited to hear the alchemy because she's been building these really subtle alchemical references for so long and always as this magical, happy thing and I will be devastated if she's like. jk we did not find the cure and I'm never singing about gold again
