Did quads yesterday (and plan to do so again today)
I was on the other side of the lake here where i live. There's a nice park/small Forrest esque area over there. I didn't do many quads, as there where many people there, but I did get to show off my trot to one of my friends :3
In the evening at home I did some more, focused on my trot, as I'm really working on loosening it up and have it not look all too stiff.
Ive started practicing my canter a little bit
Updates will follow ^^
(Also note; no video or image of me doing quads will be uploaded to the internet before I've gotten my hands on a masc. I have a fursuit making friend irl I'm considering commissioning. We'll see)
Anyways yeah, I haven't experienced any wrist pain so far, but that makes sense as I've REALLY been taking care of them (warmups, stretches, gymnastics wrist strengthening exercises, plenty of breaks), like please please please take care of your wrists fellow quadrobists!
But I've experienced some slight elbow pain in my right arm. It doesn't feel like a joint injury tho, it feels more like my muscles getting used to being used in a way they didn't expect.
Either way, I'm having a lot of fun and it's getting me outside and getting my heart rate up nearly everyday.
So no matter what it's better than nothing!!

I have (luckily) yet to get the new embarrassing twitter-like dashboard change. I never downloaded xkit before but if staff doesn't undo the change before it hits me, I probably will just so I don't have to see the embarrassing dashboard.
#simon says#for those who dont know#tumblr updated the dashboard to look more like twitter and it's super lame and ugly#like it's honestly more embarrassing than anything#the layout of the website isn't the problem it's the auto moderation and broken features#also trying to imitate twitter is clearly a move to try to bring users in while twitter is dying#it looks desperate more than anything#trying to market tumblr as a twitter alternative makes it less appealing than if you just marketed it as a microblogging website tbh#the wide variety of people dont know what tumblr is or think it's dead#so trying to appeal to new users instead of trying to make things better for current users just... is not a good move

Kinda disorienting to be old enough to have blogged and posted on forums back before social media was a thing and have familiarity and a surface level understanding of them, but young enough that actually going onto blogging and forum pages and looking at their communities feels like walking into another country and not knowing a single word of its native language

I think tumblr isn’t the place to discuss and debate on big topics actually. I think the place to discuss these things should be with people you trust or maybe with classmates at college or something. I think bringing heavy topics up online is a huge mistake.

while preparing for a yard sale today my dad found this sick film video camera his father bought in the seventies and we're going to figure out how to use it because it came with a reel of film from literally 1977 and i'm hype
