Happy Halloween

This is my third year in a row going as Micolash! I handed out candy, eyeball shaped erasers, and a box of those Trick-or-Trade Pokémon boosters (kids love those).

I didn't have much stamina and my inflammation levels were high, so I couldn't stay out very long. But I had a really fun time, as always.

A custom lanyard ID card I threw together at the last minute.

I wore this set of nail strips from Color Street. To be honest, I don't wear nail polish all that often, but I thought the color scheme would add a festive touch to my cosplay. (Maybe Hooke would look good with blue?)

I wish everyone a joyful and safe Halloween.

I was watching JK Leeds video about cosplaying as Micolash and I noticed how both Mico and Gideon are this annoying, player-type boss that is scholar/smart type guy, but ultimately ends up as a joke (even if character is also cruel as all shit). I didn't finish yet Sekiro, DS1, DS3 and didn't even start DS2, so I don't know, if that type of boss shows up often (my brother took PS4 from me and all those games are too expensive for me now on PC, rip). So...

Personally, I think Gideon, because in the end, Micolash at least was able to achieve his actual goal (commune with Great Ones), even if he ended up as dead loser. Like, my man is so insane, you cannot say to him he's idiot, because he's too occupied with being simp for Kos. Gideon? This moron wants to fight person who literally beat literal Death, wtf he thinks, he's doing? But tell me your propaganda, lol.

9. Does this character remind you of anyone you know? Does that affect how you see them?

Yes, Edgar certainly reminds me someone! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) But not with personality or appearance... I don't know. The VIBE. That person knows i LOVE Edgar, that person can read this post, that person knows that 1-3 times per month I ask him to cosplay Edgar!!!11!

And also after playing Bloodborne I found a type of young men that I call "Edgar". I think almost everyday 1 or 2 Edgars come to flower shop where I work. It's a certain type - 16-30 years old, OFKOS with glasses, very shy, avoids eye contact or STARES into your soul, sometimes edgy, acts weird and tries to pretend everything is okay. LOL. So it's okay if we walk with my husband and I accidentally say "ooh, it's Edgar there again"

13. If you could draw effortlessly and as much as you wanted, what scene (s) would you draw for this character?

I want to draw so much with him... I want to draw him in his childhood, exercing with Gremia who had nothing to do and tried to make little Edgar so sports :D I want to draw him with his auntie Yurie, who he calls "auntie" and she hates it, with Imposter-Iosefka who I call Madlene... I want to draw a shitpost, where Edgar follows Micolash everywhere and Micolash tries to avoid him and discovers that Edgar is yandere xdd I want to draw him as a child that begs everyone to show him Ludwig because he is his hero... T_T I have a sack of ideas but no time to draw them!

14. Are you physically attracted to this character?

I find Edgar extra hot. My type + looks like nerd + my interpretation of his personality

18. Do you prefer to see this character suffer or know peace? Angst or comfort? Both?

Both and much more. He is doomed by a narrative but is really important for the whole story. Edgar gaving suicidal thoughts, addiction to sedatives, personal life problems (he never had a true family, and Yurie hadn't want to be his family when he grew up), Micolash (as a whole problem), unrequites unnecessary painful love to the one who killed you (also Micolash) - okay! But also I really enjoy imagining him being happy having a cool mentor (who is also VERY silly), finding peace in his heart when Micolash is around, being hugged by Damian and more and more!

27. Do you like to ship this character with other characters or do you prefer not to?

Me? Not to ship? LOL

Micolash/Edgar, Damian/Edgar, Yurie/Edgar (in a timeline where they are !!!!!not!!!! relatives), Yurie/Edgar/Imposter Iosefka (also >>>>>NOT BLOOD-RELATED <<<<), Gremia/Edgar, Micolash/Edgar/Damian (as a kind of polyamory), Good Hunter/Edgar - I ship them and like to write/read stuff about it

34. Does this character inspire you with little things in your daily life?

He does!! Actually Edgar for me projects the problem of a "little man" (I am not sure if this termin should sound like that in english. I read that it's mostly from russian literature so idk sorry).

Edgar is not naturally gifted, not really talented. Though he can hear more voices from beyond than anyone else (ability like Rom has, but weaker) but it doesn't help him even a BIT, only annoys and scares. He is just a man with wounded pride, who has many fears, who needs attention, who wants to be loved, to be praised, to feel that someone needs him, know that he worths something.

So yes, he inspires me, I can say everyday! Reminds that every human has a story behind! And we all are just people, and any of us is like a blanket with many patches (if you joke about the last word, I'll mercilessly find you I swear) (<<<<<joke) (for now)

actually god Lev was in my dream last night, said dream was very much... Him? He and his brothers have very weird and alien vivid dreams that just feel SO strange - though Lev's are nowhere near as alien and strange as Indra's.

I have no idea how to fully understand it yet but he seems to be very conscious in his unconscious states and I feel like usually - as in not this time it seemed like one of his dreams - he kind of actively daydreams dreams into existence? Like. He feels like hes always in each stage of consciousness in some perspective or way or another, like the times Ive spent watching one of his bodies fall asleep and he is ABSOLUTELY falling asleep. sleepy af. but then hes suddenly switched to another body or place that was doing something else... But i guess its the inverse of that where instead of letting one body sleep and going to another, hes in all forms of consciousness at all times. Probably not the inverse I guess its just another function of it where he knows how to navigate from falling asleep to awake in less than a moment. anyway. generally his unconscious mind tends to daydream up dreams when hes influencing my dreams or appearing in them, but HIS dreams are weirdly alienly vivid and strange in their energy, and it was one of those so. uh

point being. he wasnt just subtly influencing dreams (like his unconscious is daydreaming them) like he has been lately, ie hes been helping me stop having constant fucking nightmares about school, and was more so ACTUALLY IN the dream this time. point being. and hence why im writing this. i just had a flashback memory of someone in the dream coming up to him and handing him whats clearly a cosplay version of Micolash's school uniform thing, as in it was polyester and mass-made lmfao and this dream was set in some weird place on Earth so the context of Cosplay Existing was there, and they said something like... "Oh if youre going to be doing dreaming (as a practice) (or scrying? Or something), this will help you wont it?" when they gave it to him, and. he just laughed at it and sarcastically was like "uh huh yeah sure" in this super like "this means nothing to me" way

which is freeing.
