-ok so since in my little universe Eagan doesn’t go to prison, when Adrian’s compound for the passengers gets blown up Eagan feels bad and gets him a motel room

-you and Eagan were out following a calling together when you ran into Adrian

-you mayyy have snuck out of the house to go with him

-Eagan and Ben have a frenemies thing going on and Ben doesn’t exactly love you hanging out with him

-so you just didn’t say anything!! LOL

-you don’t know Adrian as well so you just stay in the room with Eagan

-but there’s only one bed

-🤭

-you spend the night just chilling in bed talking

-it’s also the middle of winter because IN SEASON 4 THERE WAS SNOW

-so it’s cold

-and those motel blankets look gross and not very warm

-so he gives you his jacket to use as a blanket

-and you literally curl up into a ball under it

-“your dad would be pissed if he knew we were sleeping in the same bed”

-“good thing he doesn’t know”

-at this point you’re just inching closer

-he tucks your hair behind your ear and tips your chin up towards him

-then he kisses you FINALLY

-it’s so soft and gentle

-when you pull back from the kiss you look up at him and whisper

-“I love you, Eagan”

-his eyes soften and he barely gets out “I love you, I love you, I love you” before he takes your face in his hands and kisses you again

-(in my queen charlotte era think that iconic scene where george is all choked up and is like “my heart calls your name” and then kisses her 🥹)

-deeper this time

-you melt into him, into the bed as he climbs on top of you

-you run your hands through his hair

-letting out a soft moan as his lips trail down to your neck

-finding the exact spot that got you to cave in his kitchen

-nipping at that spot and then moving up to your ear, making you shiver

-that photographic memory comes in reeeeally handy lol

-after he just kisses your forehead and you curl up against his chest to fall asleep

-he traces your temples as you doze off

-when mick and zeke show up because Adrian went missing you and Eagan have both had the warehouse calling

-when Eagan runs into Adrian’s room and you follow mick is immediately like

-“what the actual fuck-“

-and zeke being the sweet adorable guy that he is is like “what she means to say is , y/n what are you doing here? we all thought you were at home.”

-“I was just helping with a calling. Mick please dont tell dad.”

-she’s def very suspicious and like it’s so obvious but she promises she won’t tell

-as soon as she walks out of the room zeke literally comes up to you almost laughing and whispers “i could literally feel how flustered you are from outside the motel,” and walks out to the car with mick

-and Eagan is all smug like “oh? i got you flustered, did I?” and pulls you out of view from the window to pull you into a kiss and tickle you

-he’s shushing you as you start giggling and smiling into the kiss

-he sleeps on the couch that night

-youuu sneak downstairs to make out with him in the middle of the night

-he definitely leaves a hickey in a really obvious place on your neck

-when you come down for breakfast in the morning zeke subtly points it out to you and you quick run upstairs to cover it

-also side note but you’re besties with zeke

-when you ask if he’s gonna tell your dad or mick he’s like “of course I won’t. girl code” and zips his lips.

-you’re laughing at him because of course mick taught him that

-when you go to saanvi and vance’s lab to make Eagan have a calling you sit by the bed the whole time

-when saanvi yanks him out of the calling you immediately grab his hand

-seeing him in pain was terrifying

-but you hide it from saanvi and Vance

-except for squeezing his hand

-once they’re gone you pull him into the biggest hug

-when he sees marco’s calling and decides to go to the soup kitchen where the omega sapphire is you go together

-it’s pretty boring but you love spending the time with him when no one else is around

-& stealing kisses when no one is looking

-when you go down to the basement and make it through to the boiler room mick and saanvi are both like 😮

-mick is so onto you now

-so you tell her

-and she’s literally like “im so telling on you when we get home”

-but she thinks you’re cute

-he helps you up on his shoulders to reach some of the bricks where the tiles need to go

-in my version of the story he doesn’t steal the sapphire. angelina comes and steals it somehow because we hate angelina here

You walked into Family Video and found Robin and Steve talking. "Hi Stevie." you say kissing his cheek. "Hey Y/N." he replies. "Hi." Robin says." "Hey Robin." you reply. The next day you return home and don't see Steve. He should be home by now you think. You walk upstairs to get changed. When you open the door to Steve's bedroom you see Steve laying naked on the bed. "You really can't handle this bet can you?" you ask with a small smirk. "I'm doing fine." he replies defensively. "Okay then you don't mind if I take my clothes off and lay with you." you say. "Nope. Don't mind that at all." he stutters as you take your shirt off. Manifest - The act of revenge Part I

Okay, I dare to post my first own story without any kind of request for Manifest!! As I said, it is the beginning of my own story and is still being written at the moment. It contains dark themes like kidnapping, pain, blood and others that will only be mentioned in later chapters - I will of course mention them in the respective chapters and write a disclaimer/trigger warning about them. I hope you like it! ♥

With pizzas for each family member clutched tightly between her arm and stomach, Michaela kicked the door behind her shut and walked down the small hallway to the living room, where her family was already waiting patiently for her; playing Monopoly together at the table. "I brought pizza!"

"Aunt Mic!" Cal screamed out as he took his eyes off the board and got up to give his father's sister a big hug. The force with which his body hit hers made them both fall back a few steps and the blonde tried to hold onto the younger out of reflex. When both of them felt secure in their stance again, it wasn´t long before Cal started to pull away from his aunt, grinning up at her as he gazed questioningly at the door. "Did you brought aunt Y/n too or does she have to work longer today?"

"I thought she was already here?" Now it was her turn to look quizzically up and into the faces of her brother and his wife, who already recognized from Michaela´s worried look that something wasn´t quite right. "She left the police headquarters two hours ago saying that she was going home and that she will meet me here later."

In unison, both Stone siblings pulled their phones out of their pockets and off the table. While one called you, the other checked when you were last online. It was unusual for you not to let them know when your plans changed spontaneously and so they were immediately on alert; the situation creating a strange feeling in your sister´s stomach.

Once, twice in a row the blonde tried to reach you. "Ben there is something wrong, she is not answering." Even after what felt like the longest wait until the beeping changed, the mailbox switched on instead and whispered in her ear that you were not within reach at the moment.

"Try it again"

Even before Michaela tapped your contact on her cell phone again, your picture with both of you lit up on her display and your well-known favorite song played. Immediately her body relaxed; her tense shoulders sagged and she exhaled heavily as she leaned against the door frame. She waved her phone at her brother and Grace, who were already standing next to her before she took your call. But no one spoke, the line was silent. Only dull noises could be heard in the background, which she perceived as sobbing and whimpering.

They came from you.

"Y/n, are you okay? Where are you?" she asked and the renewed panic, which made her voice tremble and stumble upon words, made the two heads snap up in front of her. "Sweet Y/n isn´t available right now."

Your screams grew louder and sounded horribly powerless. As if you had endured far too much in a very short time and couldn´t stand your fate any longer.

The dark and raspy voice chuckling into the phone combined with the scratchy sound at the end of each word sent a chill down her spine. She knew that the brothers were looking for revenge on her after their arrest, but she never thought that her younger sister would have to suffer because of her mistake to ignore an calling.

"Son of a-. Don´t you dare touch her." Michaela practically hissed between clenched teeth; her otherwise strong voice was holey. It sounded like an old CD whose best days were already behind. Her free arm wrapped around the middle of her body, hugging herself as it anchored under her other arm for closure. "If you harm her by a hair, I will-" before she could finish her sentence, Jace had interrupted her with another loud laugh.

"Listen, I am not interested in small talk with you." he commanded, a painful scream of her name filled the short silence between his breaths. "You have 48 hours to bring the stuff back which you confiscated from me. Until then, your pretty sister and I will have some fun. It´s called retribution."

The voice on the other end said only a few short sentences. Words, that took Michaela´s breath away at first, then poisoned her mind and at the thought of what a meth dealer could do to you, her soul at the end.

A very last roar of her name with the very last strength of a person who felt doomed and a blow that sounded like nothing more than a slap across your face that had brought you to silence made Michaela stagger. Literally.

The beeping on the line, signaling the end of the call, snapped her out of agitated thoughts, filled with various scenarios of what was happening to you at the moment and how to get you out of the hell you were in.

She stared at the phone for a while, feeling like it was shutting out all of her happiness in life. It didn´t just tear Michaela´s heart apart. It tore her whole mind into shreds.

A heavy pounding of Jace´s dirty boots right in front of your face made your heavy eyelids open instantly, the dirt that had been stirred up went through your lungs with the first breaths you took- heavy and hopeless coughing was the result that made you gasp for air.

The harsh light from a broken overhead light reflected off the broken shards on the floor and pierced your eyes, causing a bolt of lightning to erupt behind them.

"Wake up, princess." Still hazy and with a hiss, you supposedly tried to turn your head away and only now you noticed the cable ties around your wrist, which were tied together behind your back and were digging into your flesh.

The air in a room that was far underground was stuffy, hot and heavy and made you feel like you were about to suffocate.

Your senses wandered to voices mumbling a little further and your breathing became rapid. His huge hand grabbed your faced, pinched your chin while his face came menacingly close. "Hello beautiful girl," he breathed and his voice made your blood run cold as his breath made you wrinkle your nose in disgust. "Too bad we´ll probably have to kill you soon if your sister doesn´t manage to get our stuff back. You´re such a pretty thing, what a waste."

Jace removed his hand from your chin and slammed the flat palm of his hand right across your face, making you scream and wince in pain. He quickly put his hand back over your mouth, taking away that you were in an are that seemed to have busy streets from his actions.

"Shut up, otherwise.." he didn´t finish the sentence but stuck a strip of duct tape over your mouth to prevent you from drawing attention to yourself again.

With a skillful grip, he pulled a pocketknife from his pants and let the gleaming blade spring out in front of your face. You squeezed your eyes shut in shock, hoping he wouldn´t get any closer to you.

"If you scream like that again, you´ll never see the sun rise again and Michaela will salvage your body dead from a canal."

Accepting criticism from readers

Accepting criticism from readers can be a balancing act. It depends largely on what the criticism IS. "Your story is bad and you should feel bad" = me rolling my eyes and moving on. "Your portrayal of a POC was hurtful and insensitive because of X" = me fixing what I said that came across wrong, apologizing for the hurt, and vowing to do better.

Take what the negative feedback is about into account, in other words. If it's just that the story wasn't for them, then that's life, buttercup, happens to all of us. But if it's that you've hit a nerve, said something inappropriate or hurtful or portrayed a situation inaccurately? For goshsakes, LISTEN to the person trying to educate you and take steps to make it better.

Accepting criticism from betas/editors

This, to me, is easier, because you have an established relationship with your betas, and the editors are invested in the story and only want what’s right for it. So I try to be especially receptive to them.

Loving writing when it gets tough

Sometimes you just have to take a step back. When it gets tough, I find the best way to fall back in love with the craft is to stop writing and start reading. I read all the time in any case, but when I’m feeling particularly stale, my reading amps up. I’ll read a book a day, revisit auto-buy authors and beloved stories, etc, until I remember why I love it so much and I’m inspired to write more of my own.

When your writing doesn't do what you planned/outlined

Oh, you mean ever? Seriously, I neither plan nor outline, because it’s guaranteed not to go according to what I’ve written down. The most I do is discuss it with my beta(s) beforehand and get a good grasp of the characters’ motivations. Once I know what they’ll do in a given situation, I know what direction the writing is going to take.

Humour in writing

It’s good, I like it. What’s the question here?

How to words Distractions (good and bad)

Is this “how to AVOID distractions”? [Yes] 

Basically that can take a number of forms. Sometimes it’s an hour I carve out for myself while the kids are busy. Sometimes, it’s 5 minutes in the drive-through writing on my phone while I wait for food. Avoiding distractions is a matter of practice. The more you do it, the more you put yourself in that writing space, the easier it gets.

Remembering to take care of yourself

I’ll let you know when I figure that one out. (Seriously, hydrate and try to eat semi-regular meals—other than that, I got nothin’)

Moving from fanfiction to original fiction

I think fanfic can be a great stepping stone to original fiction. It’s great to play in established worlds with known characters as a way to practice various techniques, etc. You can also build a fanbase and bring them with you when you branch into o[riginal]fic. 

That being said, there is absolutely nothing wrong with only ever wanting to write fanfic. Write what makes you happy. Never write to please the majority. You tapped your phone screen, cursing at the low battery.

Keeping your eyes on the road, you fumbled in your bag before tapping your bluetooth ear piece. Thank God, your work phone was charged.

“Y/N, of ‘Vance, L/N and Davis’. How can I help?” You answered.

It had taken you a few years but you were finally a name partner at your law firm. God, knows you had earned it.

You listened as one of your clients began discussing a recent case with you, some civil suit they were raising. You dealt with their query, disconnected the call and walked up Grace’s drive.

Ever since Michaela, Ben and Cal went missing on Flight 828, you decided to have regular catch ups with Grace and Olive. It helped you too because when Michaela had gone missing, you thought you weren’t ever going to get out of rock bottom. But you had thrown yourself into your work and worked your way up in the firm.

You opened the door and saw a frantic Olive, Grace and Steve, the Stone’s dad, and your surrogate father by association, running around.

“Woah, Olive. What’s wrong?”

“Dad. Cal. How? I-” She stuttered.

“Livvie, you’re not making sense.” You held onto her arms to slow her down.

“Didn’t Mum call you?”

“My phone’s dead. What is it?”

“The flight. It’s back.”

You stepped back as you felt the blood drain from your face. “What?”

“We just had a call. The plane just landed. We’re going to the airport now.”

“Mickey.”

A soft whisper fell from your lips as a tear dropped down your face.

For 5 and a half years, you had mourned her, not a day went by that you didn’t think of her but now that there was a chance she was back?

You were terrified.

Terrified that it wasn’t true.

Terrified that you had to go through that heartbreak all over again.

“Y/N! Have you heard?”

Steve clambered up to you and engulfed you in a hug as Grace followed behind him.

“Yeah, Olive just told me. Grace, come on, I’ll drive.”

As the car came to a halt, you followed Grace’s lead and jumped out of the car.

Grace was a ways ahead with Steve behind her and you and Olive falling back.

Olive randomly stopped so you did the same and lifted her chin to face you, raising your eyebrows in question.

“It’s been 5 years. What if they’re different? I’m scared, Auntie y/n.”

“Me too, honey.”

You brought the teenager in for a quick hug.

“But hey, if they’re back, they need us. And we’re strong women who can help them, right?”

She chuckled lightly, which was what you intended, “Yeah.”

“Good girl, lets go.” You grabbed her hand and you both ran to catch up to the rest of your family.

When you reached the plane hangar, you pushed past people and saw Ben, Grace and Cal. Then your eyes roamed and you saw Steve hugging a blonde girl. When she pulled away, she looked at you and her eyes widened in recognition.

“Y/N.” She murmured.

Tears immediately filled your eyes.

She was here.

She was real.

She was back.

Without a second thought, you launched yourself into your girlfriend’s arms and wrapped your arms around her.

“Oh My God. You’re here. You’re actually here.” You cried out.

When you both pulled away, she placed her hands on your cheeks and kissed you for the first time in five years.

Foreheads leaning against each other, you breathed out, “God, I love you.”

“I love you too, y/n.”

Dropping your keys on the table, Michaela closed the door behind you and followed you to the sofa.

“At least it all looks the same.”

“Yeah, I didn’t have the heart to throw away any of your things. Besides we were going to move in together after your trip anyways, so when you went missing, I figured I’d go ahead with it. It made me feel closer to you.” You added in a whisper as your voice broke.

Jumping at the sound of your phone ringing, you cleared your throat and answered.

“Y/N, of ‘Vance, L/N and Davis’. How can I help?”

It was your partner, Caitlin Davis, who was calling to check up on you to make sure you were okay. You briefly explained the situation to her before advising that you were taking a personal day tomorrow so you could spend it with Michaela.

“See you. Bye.” You hung up the phone and stared at a patient Michaela.

“Sorry, that was Cait. Just wanted to see if I was alright.”

“I heard. And since when did you become a partner?”

“A year or two after you were gone. I threw myself into work because it was the only thing I had left.”

“Wow, I’m so proud of you, y/n. I know how much you’ve always wanted to be a partner.” She praised, causing you to blush.

“Glad to see that after five years, I can still make you blush.” She teased causing you both to start laughing.

“God, how has it been five years for you but only like 5 hours for me? This is crazy.”

“I know. As much as I’m happy that I became a partner in those five years, it didn’t mean much because I didn’t have you beside me.” You said, joining your hands with Michaela’s as you leaned into her arms.

“And you were never with anyone el-“

“No, Mickey.” You moved from her arms so you could look at her.

“I’ve been waiting 5 years, 6 months and 28 days for you to come back to me. I’m yours. Only yours.”

“Hey, it’s okay. I’m here.” She replied, wiping the tears you didn’t know had fallen.

“I’ve missed you so much.”

After you and Mick caught up with what had happened in these past 5 years, including the fact that her ex, Jared, had now gotten together with her best friend, Lourdes, you both decided to go to bed.

You were curled up in your bed, your back to her front; Michaela being the big spoon as always, her arms wrapped tightly around your waist and her head resting against your neck.

You were both quiet, allowing a comfortable silence to fill the air.

Bringing one of Michaela’s hands to your lips, you gently kissed it before you spoke softy.

“I didn’t believe the news until you said my name at the hangar. I mean, I saw you but until you said my name, until I held you in my arms, I didn’t believe it. But you’re here. You came back.”

Michaela lifted her head to tenderly kiss your cheek and murmured against your ear.

“I’m home.”
