“So what you’re telling me. Is that the only way to capture them is to use this specific building?” Sara asked.

“Yes. The exact shape and location is the only place with a success rate higher than sixty percent.” Gideon said. Everyone went quiet.

“The building will only rent the space out for a wedding. We would have to fake a wedding to set up the trap.” Gideon replied.

“Hey! We found a lead on the guy we’re after.” You said as you hurried into the room. “Urm what’s going on?” You asked when everyone ignored you and inspected the building layout that Gideon was projecting.

"Hey (Character), do you want to have the weirdest wedding of all time?" Zari asked you.

“Urm sure? I guess. Why not?” You said, expecting an explanation at some point. You’d been on the Waverider long enough to know that you just play along and hope everything ends up well. 

“Romantic. What do we need to get this set up?” Zari asked Ava who was looking through one of her binders.

“We’ll need to set up a proper wedding, a few guests. Then we’ll have to herd our target in the room. Gideon is working on the machine to trap them. Ray should be able to help speed things along.” Ava answered. “We could get John to put some magic wards on the building, maybe help us keep them inside the building?” Sara offered. Ava agreed as you went to sit next to Zari. “So what do we need to do?” You asked them.

“You and Zari… they’re after the two of you. So I say we have you two playing the lovesick love birds planning the big day and they should be unable to resist ruining your day.” Sara said quickly. Ava frowned and glanced at Sara.

“Are we sure it’s wise if Zari and (Y/N) do this one together?” Ava asked and Sara shot her a look. “I mean. I know that you can do it but with you know.” 

“Ava wants to be sure that your feelings for each other won't interfere with the mission and get the two of you into trouble.” Sara finished for her.

“Our feelings for each other?” Zari asked quickly. She sounded as if she had definitely spoken to Sara or Ava about her feelings for you. Which you had done the week before. You watched them carefully.

“Ok. We have clearly overstepped so we’ll go.” Sara said as she looked awkwardly at Ava.

“No it’s ok. I have feelings for (Y/N). It won't interfere with anything.” Zari insisted.

“Same. I have some feelings for Zari I need to work out and it won't interfere with anything.” The two of you hurried off and went your separate ways to try and figure out what you’d just found out about each other.

“So that’s definitely going to resolve it's at an inconvenient time isn’t it?” Ava said to Sara who nodded.

You knew she was weighing the pros and cons in her head but deep down she wanted to stay.

   “I’m sure the team will be fine without you. Plus it’s just this once after today you can go off to save time,” you try convincing her one more time. She looks at you then at the bed before throwing her hands in the air.

   “Oh what the hell. I’ll stay,” Zari exclaims. “After all the work I’ve done with them I deserve to take a break with my girlfriend.” You smile in victory as Zari gets back into bed next to you.

   “And if they really need you they can just travel back in time to get you,” you remind her. “So really it’ll be fine.” Zari smiles at you before placing a kiss on your lips. She pulls away and moves a lock of your hair away from your face.

   She lets go of you and turns to grab her jacket. She takes something out of it and says,”Close your eyes.” You raise an eyebrow at her but close your eyes anyway. You feel her place something on your wrist before she says,”Alright you can open them now.”

   You open your eyes and find a time courier on your wrist. You look back at Zari in shock and she smiles. “I managed to convince Ava to let me give you one. That way if you ever miss me you can come visit me on the Waverider.”

   You smile excitedly before throwing your arms around her neck and pulling her in for a kiss. You pull away and place a few kisses on her cheek before sitting back down. “That is so thoughtful of you, thank you Z.”
