THE ZOMBIE WEDDING Announces Cast & Completion of Principal Photography.
Tumblr media
Weekly World News Studios, the entertainment arm of the Weekly World News tabloid universe, is in the midst of principal photography on The Zombie Wedding, its first feature film, just wrapped Principal Photography  in Vineland, NJ. The following are confirmed in the cast: Cheri Oteri (SNL), Krystina Alabado (American Psycho), Mu-Shaka Benson (The Blacklist), Kevin Chamberlin (The Addams Family), Donald Chang (Squid Game), Heather Matarazzo (Welcome to the Dollhouse), Seth Gilliam (The Walking Dead), Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos), Deepti Menon (Never Rarely Sometimes Always), Christine Spang (Succession), Ajay Naidu (Office Space) & Micky Dolenz (The Monkees).
Tumblr media
The Zombie Wedding, written by Greg D’Alessandro, Chief Creative Officer of Weekly World News Studios, was originally launched as an interactive theater event in New York. Joe Corcoan (the original Producer of Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding) produced the theatrical event and is also a producer on the film. The Zombie Wedding  is the first ever wedding of a human bride and a zombie groom.  Directed by Micah Khan (Safe House), the film follows the story of a young couple in Vineland, NJ during the zombie apocalypse, who decide to go ahead with their wedding, even though it seems like an impossibility to pull it off. The humans turn out to be more difficult than the zombies and the ceremony takes a turn for the weird when the Zombies become brain deprived. In the end the wedding delivers a universal message of acceptance, love and understanding.
"As a huge fan of zombies, aliens, Bigfoots and cryptids, I’m ecstatic to direct The Zombie Wedding and bring the Weekly World News universe’s first film to audiences. Greg’s script immerses you in a wacky, absurdist wedding gone wrong. Our amazing cast is sure to create anxiety about zombie apocalypses breaking out during your special day,” said Director Micah Khan
This “ZomCom” is a comedy/horror/romance with original music throughout.  The Zombie Wedding is about zombies, but it has a strong heart and a message of universal acceptance, peace and understanding. Original music produced/recorded by Jean-Paul Bourelly, including a new version of Nile Rodgers' Le Freak.
The town of Vineland, Cumberland County, The NJ Film Commission, Weekly World News Studios and outside investors provided needed funding and support to bring the film to fruition. Weekly World News Studios received a 99-year lease for a production building with a soundstage in Vineland for film, television, podcast and other work intended to stimulate the local economy.
“Thomas Edison made New Jersey a pioneering film center in the early 1900’s. The state, county and Vineland community are building on that legacy to support this film and those that follow,” said Greg D’Alessandro , WWN Studios’ Chief Creative Officer.
Grace Lovret and Robert Dragotta are Executive Producers. Greg D’Alessandro , Joe Corcoran, Sue Wolf and Maria Capp are Producers.

Bite to Break. Sunny/Micah
Blood in the Heartlands. Wicker/Ebelt
Those are the official, active series... And then there's the plethora of other stories I have stacked up around me...
I have three loosely outlined fantasy world books. One is somehow a murder mystery comedy, the other is just drama drama drama, and the third is intensely fantasy world building.
There's a series of greek god books (because what writer doesn't? i just really want to kill Zeus...) the first of which is partially written and about a primordial ocean goddess shacking up with a demigod on adventure. It's violent and brutal and sooooo romantic and I can't wait.
As you may know, I recently starting outlining a western romance because I was reading one and got frustrated.
Then there are the audio scripts... I've got about four of them in the works right now including the finale to the Adventures of Stardust and Cosmic.
And I have... counting... four? fanfic AUs going? Band AU, Coffee shop AU, College AU, Amnesia AU, Tattoo shop AU, and the Camelopardilliam fic!! Okay, that's six fics.
So... should I be adding the western romance to this roster? No, definitely not. Is it still going to be quietly outlined and stuffed into the files? Yes. Of course it is.

She-Ra characters’ favorite movies!!! This one will probably be pretty controversial.
Adora: Alien. But she gets scared and has to cuddle with Catra (that’s her favorite part).
Catra: Predator. She can’t tell who she’s rooting for half the time though.
Glimmer: Captain Harlock: Space Pirate. She loves the aesthetic.
Bow: Star Wars. He’s very opinionated on the watch order.
Perfuma: Up in Smoke (never gonna let that joke go)
Mermista: Knives Out (but she’s waiting for the MerMysteries movie franchise)
Sea Hawk: The Princess Bride. He fancies himself Westley.
Scorpia: She’s a MCU fan and can’t pick her favorite of them.
Double Trouble: They hate watch Master of Disguise regularly.
Entrapta: Pacific Rim. Giant mechs! Fighting! Tech!
Hordak: Sleepless in Seattle. He loves romcoms!
Madame Razz: Primer. To her the plot is very straightforward, predictable, and linear
Shadow Weaver: Matilda. She has no idea why such wonderful and caring parents were so maligned!
Frosta: Godzilla movies. She has plans for an ice kaiju once she gets better at controlling her powers.
Micah: Star Trek: Wrath of Khan. He and Bow get into arguments about the better franchise and Glimmer has to tear them apart.
Kyle: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World - He fancies himself Scott. He isn’t.
Kadroh: Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. He loves how wrong it is about the universe!
Melog: The Aristocats. ‘Nuff said.
Netossa and Spinnerella: Lord of the Rings. They watch the Extended Editions together at least once a year.
Horde Prime: Horde Prime The Movie: A Horde Prime Production by Light Of Horde Prime Studios

do you have any desi romance recs where both main characters aren’t part of the 1%? i feel like most of the ones i’ve read so far have at least one rich main character for no good reason 🤨
I do! I like a good billionaire romance but I think when you write wealthy people of color in a western country, you can't just use the cookie-cutter billionaire romance template like some of these authors do; these people have a lot of power and wealth but ultimately, they still relate differently to the majority as a member of a minority group but a lot of authors just ignore that, have some shoehorned scene with a racist encounter, or completely ignore the culture. But yeah, here are romances with at least one South Asian MC, and none of these characters are top one-percenters:
Wrong to Need You by Alisha Rai: Sadia is a widowed single mom who works at a bar. She's attracted to her black sheep brother-in-law, Jackson. The tension is So Hot, starting from when they nearly have sex behind the bar she works at because she doesn't recognize him lolol. AND Sadia subverts the passive Asian woman trope on multiple levels, including the fact that she is a bit of a soft domme in the bedroom.
Serving Pleasure by Alisha Rai: Slightly bananas but bonkers hot; Rana Malik works as a waitress at her family restaurant and starts watching this hot artist guy living across from her through her window. Micah catches on, puts on a bit of a show, she also lowkey stalks him a little but THAT'S OKAY he's into it! And it goes from there :D
Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert: Zafir Ansari and Dani Brown decide to fake-date to help get publicity for his charity (he's a charity rugby coach and also works part-time as a campus security guard, and Dani is a PhD student). The funny thing here is that Rahul is the romantic (he reads Harlequin romances!!!!!! And having sex without feelings is a STRUGGLE for this man) and Dani is relationship-avoidant, so that's fun for them.
The Roommate Risk by Talia Hibbert: Friends-to-lovers but done RIGHT. Rahul Khan has been in love with Jasmine Allan since he gave his virginity to her (the flashback scenes in this one are great). Now, seven years later, she's living with him because her apartment flooded, and cue all the angst and confused feelings. Talia writes her sex scenes really well, this amazing combination of emotional intimacy and realness (and a little humor), not to mention they're uniformly hot.
Say You'll Be Mine by Naina Kumar: Meghna Raman is a high school theater teacher-slash-aspiring playwright, and Karthik Murthy is an engineer; they agree to a fake engagement to avoid more set-ups, and so Meghna has someone to take with her to her crush's wedding where she's the best woman. This is fairly low-heat though not entirely closed-door.
Sink or Swim by Tessa Bailey: Here are my full (very positive!) thoughts on this book. Proof that white authors CAN write people of color well, if they put in the research and have people from that community proof-read.

Lies We Sing to the Sea by Sarah Underwood
Each spring, Ithaca condemns twelve maidens to the noose. This is the price vengeful Poseidon demands for the lives of Queen Penelope’s twelve maids, hanged and cast into the depths centuries ago.
But when that fate comes for Leto, death is not what she thought it would be. Instead, she wakes on a mysterious island and meets a girl with green eyes and the power to command the sea. A girl named Melantho, who says one more death can stop a thousand.
The prince of Ithaca must die - or the tides of fate will drown them all.
Lunar Love by Lauren Kung Jessen
Always a matchmaker, never a match...
Olivia Huang Christenson is excited-slash-terrified to be taking over her grandmother’s matchmaking business. But when she learns that a new dating app has made her Pó Po’s traditional Chinese zodiac approach all about “animal attraction,” her emotions skew more toward furious-slash-outraged. Especially when L.A.’s most-eligible bachelor Bennett O’Brien is behind the app that could destroy her family’s legacy...
Liv knows better than to fall for any guy, let alone an infuriatingly handsome one who believes that traditions are meant to be broken. As the two businesses go head to head, Bennett and Liv make a deal: they’ll find a match for each other - and whoever falls in love loses. But Liv is dealing with someone who’s already adept at stealing business ideas... so what’s stopping him from stealing her heart too?
River Sing Me Home by Eleanor Shearer
The master of the Providence plantation in Barbados gathers his slaves and announces the king has decreed an end to slavery. As of the following day, the Emancipation Act of 1834 will come into effect. The cries of joy fall silent when he announces that they are no longer his slaves; they are now his apprentices. No one can leave. They must work for him for another six years. Freedom is just another name for the life they have always lived. So Rachel runs.
Away from Providence, she begins a desperate search to find her children - the five who survived birth and were sold. Are any of them still alive? Rachel has to know. The grueling, dangerous journey takes her from Barbados then, by river, deep into the forest of British Guiana and finally across the sea to Trinidad. She is driven on by the certainty that a mother cannot be truly free without knowing what has become of her children, even if the answer is more than she can bear. These are the stories of Mary Grace, Micah, Thomas Augustus, Cherry Jane and Mercy. But above all this is the story of Rachel and the extraordinary lengths to which a mother will go to find her children...and her freedom.
The Love Match by Priyanka Taslim
Zahra Khan is basically Bangladeshi royalty, but being a princess doesn’t pay the bills in Paterson, New Jersey. While Zahra’s plans for financial security this summer involve working long hours at Chai Ho and saving up for college writing courses, Amma is convinced that all Zahra needs is a “good match,” Jane Austen-style.
Enter Harun Emon, who’s wealthy, devastatingly handsome, and... aloof. As soon as Zahra meets him, she knows it’s a bad match. It’s nothing like the connection she has with Nayim Aktar, the new dishwasher at the tea shop, who just gets Zahra in a way no one has before.
So, when Zahra finds out that Harun is just as uninterested in this match as she is, they decide to slowly sabotage their parents’ plans. And for once in Zahra’s life, she can have her rossomalai and eat it: “dating” Harun and keeping Amma happy while catching real feelings for Nayim.
But life - and boys - can be more complicated than Zahra realizes. With her feelings all mixed up, Zahra discovers that sometimes being a good Bengali kid can be a royal pain.

im going to play through new vegas at least 3 separate times.
Starting off, I'm playing as Stephanie. (i want that goddamn letter from benny and apparently you can only get it with the perk you can get as a woman so WHATEVER.)
she's going to wind up siding with Mr House because. She already works for a dictator in her base world. why WOULDNT she side with house.
She'll extend as much help to the NCR as she can without stepping on Mr House's metaphorical toes. Will shoot to kill Legion members and Fiends on sight. Mostly neutral towards Great Khans, will try to encourage (what's her name? Delilah? Diane?) to make health chems
Then the other two.
My "good boy" route is going to be Mercy. Since AFAIK you can't Side with the followers of the apocalypse he'll side with NCR.
and Micah is going to be my Horrible Monster route. He's siding with the Legion and he wants to cause as much Hurt and Destruction as possible. Mean as shit. Lies, sabotages, definitely going to wreck shit at helios 1

Favorite villain? I have to go with the OG Tigerstar, he reminds me so much of Shere Khan from the Jungle Book, and I’ve always imagined him with the voice of Tony Jay, or second choice of George Sanders. The way Tigerstar died was a shocker too. Also, what character do you think should be in the Dark Forest? It’s Rainflower, Sandgorse, Raggedstar and Clear Sky for me. Rainflower abused Crookedstar just for this looks, Sandgorse abused Tallstar just because he didn’t want to be a tunneler, and Raggedstar was abusive to Yellowfang. I haven’t read that much of Clear Sky, I’ve only just read Moth Flight’s Vision, but in that book he ordered another cat to go after Micah who was killed because of it, and then literally did nothing afterwards. I’ve heard he’s done other bad stuff too! Thoughts ?
Some of my favorite villains are Scourge, Sol, Mapleshade and Dark Tail!
Scourge is just,,,such an interesting yet very simple villain? Like, he just wants revenge and just like Tigerclaw, his greed is ultimately what gets him killed. The first of many who have fact relieved about them after the fact and kts never addressed in canon (him and Firestar being half brothers, honestly I kind Scourge and Tigerclaw being half brothers would've been more interesting)
Sol is just pretty and dumb and i like that in a villain. He is also simultaneously the smartest cause he survived tricking Blackstar (he lived only cause of his looks...and probably cause he literally just d i p p e d) and he survived both of his encounters with the clans in general. Hope he's fat and happy wherever he is.
Mapleshade is a horrible, terrible woman and i love her. Like, awful person, cool character as far as warrior villains go. She's also the only character i like that ive goten anon hate over so...yeah. Feel like if the erins wanted her to come off as more sympathetic in her backstory they should've leaned into her actually naively thinking her kits could stop thunderclan and riverclan from fighting or making her a toxic positive kind of person instead (like, she cant or wont recognize Appledusk as a not great person or her giving excuses for everyone else so when she finally acknowledges all the bad stuff it hits harder or something) or maybe if we saw more of her life before Appledusk and her kits. Either way, deserves to be in the dark forest, BRUTAL lady, dont know why she wants revenge agaisnt all the clans when she's so obviously has a blood feud that ends with Stormfur and Reedwhisker.
Dark Tail is actually scary. Like, Tigerclaw was sneakily scary, you never knew when he was gonna strike next but with Dark Tail he just felt unstoppable. Stupid backstory, like, I hate it so much, but Dark Tail in general was really cool and the fact he tore shadowclan in two (again...leave my favorite clan alone erins come on) was cool (despite the fact we've seen this before e r i n s). He should've killed Mistystar, he also should've been in the second half of Avos instead of first. Him following Skyclan wouldve made the conflict better and feel like the otber clans distrust and weird hate for skyclan a little founded in logic then just them being dumb cause the plot died with the villain.
Cats who should've gone to the DF -
ASHFUR WE ALL KNOW WHY
Rainflower, ABSOLUTELY should've been in the Dark Forest. We should've seen Rainflower crawling up to Crookedstar begging for forgiveness, playing up an act like she changed but Crookedstar just turns away from her cause he knows she hasn't changed at all.
Sandgorse is...iffy for me? I haven't finished reading Tallstar's revenge but he never came off as abusive to me? I could be wrong cause I have also been under the false impression that Shrewclaw wasn't abusive either so if I am wrong I apologize. He just feels like he more...frustrated than angry at Tallkit/paw and he didn't handle it well. (Which still isnt great, you're allowed to be frustrated but you should never take it out on your kids regardless of the circumstances) So I'll get back to you on this one.
Raggedstar defiantly deserves it, I think Oakstar (TC) should also be in the Dark Forest for kitten endangerment and starting an ultimately pointless war with kittypets. Like. Seriously man.
I haven't finished nor do i think I ever will finish DoTc. But from what i hear Clear Sky sucks so yeah ill agree with that one. If Gray Wing is silverpelt than Clear Sky can be the stubborn bitch keeping everyone in the DF. He is the swampy ground, the grabing, pulling foliage, he is the clear, empty sky above you and he is the reason that you are a l o n e...cause if he had to be alone, then so do you. Also Clear Sky just...sucks so yeah throw him in the naughty kitty pit with the rest of 'em.
