Since arriving in this strange new world- under the guise of partaking in another death game alongside his friends- Mumbo had spent hours hard at work attempting to reconstruct the oddly suspicious, broken down flying machine in the basement. according to this email i received from ao3 staff (nary if you see this youre mvp)

it means that if your fandom gets 10 different authors you should be added to the list to get an official fandom tag

this does NOT mean you should post filler or spam in order to hit that number as that might result in the number being raised, but it does mean you should encourage your friends to post their own fics!

this is great news bc we now have a real number and written confirmation that smp fandoms are on the list to get fandom tags even if it will likely take some time.

I have no idea if this is just a general statement or like in reference to my au idea with them all as gods, with Capsize as the goddess of fortune.

But either way I agree so so hard!

Like generally Tom is so bold in the way that he interacts with everyone. He is so open about being the bad guy and the fact he is loyal to Dianite even with the Ianite situation. 

But he ends up helping the group anyway. Which was openly going against his own god (even if he didn't intend for it to be). Like obviously Capsize likes him.

Oh but for the god au.

Oh I love this statement for that au.

Cause like Capsize is the goddess of fortune. While she and Redbeard have their own devoted followers, more typically they were giving fortune or misfortune to the followers of the big three gods. And while she's typically fair and just, it's impossible to not notice how far more of Tom's followers succeed at the insanely stupid things they attempt than they really should. 

Of course, Capsize is in season one Ianite's position in that au, being imprisoned and mostly forgotten. So the champions don't have any context of Capsize and Tom’s relationship, just that Capsize has been imprisoned by someone… and Tom has a “gift” from her that he openly shows off about.

Mianite was a livestreamed MCRP series from the early 2010s mostly protagonized by Tom (Syndicate), Tucker (iiJERICHOii), Sonja (omgitsfirefoxx), and Jordan (CaptainSparklez). The gimmick of it was that there were two gods in the world, Mianite god of Order and Creation and Dianite god of Chaos and Destruction, and everyone on the server was a believer of one or the other. People would sacrifice things and pray to their God to get miracles, favors, items, etc from them.

However, Jordan joined a little later on. By that time everyone had chosen their sides and were trying to recruit him. Jordan kinda just wanted to play with his friends tho and said "uhhhhh I'm a believer of Ianite." and Ianite was basically popped into existence by Team Mianite soon after. She became the dying goddess of Balance, Justice, and Vengeance, and Jordan became her sole believer in season one.

How do you think wearing purple differs between the different Ianitees?

I don’t actually! I think that there’s a whole myriad of reasons why Spark and Jordan don’t get along, but differences in worship aren’t one of them (at least from sparks end).

the most important thing about Sparks character (to me) is that he builds Dagrun, but he does not originate from there. On top of that, because Ianite is a lesser known goddess (in comparison to her brothers) you’ve got a lot of people who all worship her a little bit differently. Especially, pre-Dagrun, when Ianite was almost always on the move, never settling, never constant. Then when the alts go to the s1 world, they meet Redbeard, the other pirates, Lady Ianite, and I’m sure they do things way differently than Sparks used to. I think he’d love to learn the different ways that people pray/worship his lady.

Where Spark doesn’t touch the color purple at all, I think the pirates accessorize with. Little trinkets, or bandannas, something small that they can keep close, like a reminder.

what if Spark took Ianite’s name, so his is now Spark Conway-Kikoku?

I didn’t know I could get asks. This is so exciting to me.

I don’t have a direct answer for this yet!! Personally, I love hyphenated last names. But in terms of characterization and stuff I think it comes down to how do divine families work? Do the gods hold last names to the same standard we do? I would have to assume yes because Akemi named her sword kikoku but I don’t know.

Also, how do the gods feel towards their parents (at the point in time that spark and ianite would be married )? Would she want to rid any association she has of her family?

Many things to think about. I will ponder !!
